The Skyline of Saltlake Sector 5, looks like some skyline of the Western World. Most unique and the Best place to visit in Kolkata. Awesome place for photographers in Kolkata. The place is very serene and calm, best for mental peace. Very Breezy place, with chirping of local birds. Very few people walk through this place, very quiet and lonely.
One of the best wildlife sanctuary.we can see many monkeys, peacock .plastic free zone. No smoking & drinking area. It is restricted to enter to jungle.
Wonderful Nature Filled trip

They charge ₹400 per person for a 2-3 hour trek in a forest with bisons and deers.

We were told by the guide who accompany us from start to end that tigers and elephants roam in the area. The guide shown us the deer and elephant footprints and their activity in the area.

Very informative.
Very huge Forest with sandal wood forest. And jaggery manufacturing units. But better to visit during rainy season. During summer its very hot..

Limited shops, No petrole pumb be care full before going through this way..

Dry forest with lots of snakes and wild animals. Its absolutely a different Forest experience
Nice place for Bird Watching.

Peaceful place, romantic place, usually couples sitting around.

But we can't do fishing 🎣 here 😔.
Could walk between two lakes and enjoy nice city view around.

During summer evening this place might give some relief during evening time just take a look of this man made place.
Nice place to spend time with friends and nature together
Chinnar wildlife sanctuary is nice place and home for many endangered species. On way to munnar, this place has may watch towers and view wildlife. One has to be careful while driving through this place. Make sure to carry required water and food. Summer is very difficult in this place. Forest department must create some water ponds inside the forest.

The Chinnar and Pambar rivers are the major perennial water resources in the sanctuary. The Chinnar originates near Kumarikal Malai, follows the interstate boundary along the northwest edge of the sanctuary for 18 km and becomes the Amaravati River in Tamil Nadu.

The Pambar River originates in the Anaimudi Hills and is joined by seasonal rivulets and a few perennial streams originating from sholas in the upper reaches. It traverses the Turner’s Valley in Eravikulam National Park and flows down into the sanctuary through the Taliar Valley between Kanthalloor and Marayoor villages and eastwards through the sanctuary. It joins the Chinnar River at Koottar. The Thoovanam water falls lie deep within the sanctuary on the Pambar River. This cascade is a major tourist attraction. The Chinnar, Pambar, Kabani and Bhavani are the only rivers of the 44 in Kerala that flow eastwards

Excellent by all means. And this is an unexplored tourist destination. The local people contribute their interest for the development of tourism. The Forest Department has appointed them as Guides, Cooks, Drivers, helpers etc through Eco Development Committees of Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary. The tourists can stay in the hut, tree top or log house near the flowing river. Still I feel there is a lack of communication skills. Please note that it will take its own time to overcome this forms of undulating nature.

Awesome ride in forest and forest gaurds are very friendly road is one way have safe ride then reach by check post before 6pm , for cars all documents are they will check in check post please carry

the experience was very good and the trek was very adventurous we had booked for 3 hours trek which costed us Rs 300 pp and we had got to spot peacocks, spotted deers, Indian Gaur, and bison. it was one of the memorable trek with moderate level of difficulty

We travelled from Palani to Munnar via Chinnar for a weekend. The roads are good and calm and the drive was easy. There are not many places where you could stop by but Karimuttam waterfalls is a relief. We did not check out Iravikulam National Park due to our time schedule though.

Worth walking to this place. Beautiful river with picturesque locations and the guides are well trained to lead a group to some natural happiness. Even though the place looks adventurous, we may not encounter much wild animals but the signals might frighten us which is thrilling. Youth especially would love to walk those trails with much enthusiasm. All the best
good for wild life enthusiastics.trekking fee 300 Rs,morning would be better for trekking ,siting of animals and birds. After 10 am,will be more hot as there are no high trees.but walking along river side will give some shade
A good spot for clicking good photos of metro life of salt lake as in the given picture, although don't go in the evening because the road is in too much bad condition and also there was too much mosquito in that area. So better go before the sun sets in.
It is located between udumalpet..Tamilnadu and marayoor .....Kerala heading towards Munnar. If you pre book with forest Department packages are available for trekking.. wilderness stay...Thuvanam Water Falls Visit.. Watch Tower.. and lot More. If luck prevails one can sight Elephant, Tiger, Indian Guar, Deer..
This place has a really pleasant vibe and has an instant soothing effect on your stressful life. Getaway to this place is worth getting your tires punctured here not really or else you have to spend a fortune. On weekdays there are hardly any people you can get a boat ride if you want, or just sit and relax and take in the setting sun with your loved ones! Recommend to visit this place and please do not litter as this place is a hidden beauty and is a gem to be kept well!

Lovely place with an amazing scenery views. Gap is where we visited and we thoroughly enjoyed the ride and the place 😍
Went there in December for trekking. There were 2 treks available - waterfall trek and cultural trek. Took the cultural trek (it's actually better than waterfall) but still there not much 'culture' to see. Mostly the trek is through the deep jungle and 2 archeological sites are on the way that are not much impressive. Also the trek is somewhat mediocre level and might please those who have never experienced a trek before (like us :)) But still enjoyed the 3 viewpoints where we took some photos and rest during our 2hr trek. On the way you might encounter some wildlife if luck favours, usually it would be monkeys and elephants. You are allowed to take water and food with you but be careful not to litter.

Over the place is there to give you an experience but I may not recommend to put it on your 'must do' list.
Perfect place to relax and enjoy. The climate is simply awesome. Keep jackets and mufflers as the climate can drop off at any time during rain and winter.
அருமையாக இருந்தது 💞

Karan Dam is a medium irrigation project on river Karam, a tributary of Narmada. It’s located near Kothida village in Dhar district.
Construction was almost completed in April 22 but monsoon disrupted and eventually the dam collapsed due to multiple faults.

Munnar, nestled in the heart of Kerala, India, is a breathtaking destination renowned for its enchanting tea gardens, and among them, the tea gardens stand out as an awe-inspiring masterpiece of nature's artistry. Visiting the Munnar tea gardens was an experience that left me utterly captivated and rejuvenated, making it an absolute must-visit for nature enthusiasts and tranquility seekers alike.

Upon entering the tea gardens, a sense of serenity envelops you. The vast expanse of manicured tea bushes, meticulously arranged in undulating patterns, creates a sight that is nothing short of mesmerizing. The symphony of vibrant shades of green, varying with the stages of growth, is a visual treat that soothes the senses and transports you to a realm of tranquility.

Walking through the narrow pathways amidst the tea gardens is a unique experience that allows you to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the surroundings. The gentle rustling of leaves, the occasional chirping of birds, and the aroma of fresh tea leaves in the air create an atmosphere that is both calming and invigorating. It's as if time slows down, allowing you to appreciate the simple pleasures of life.

The tea garden workers, often seen plucking tea leaves with deft hands, offer a glimpse into the labor-intensive process behind the production of one of the world's most beloved beverages. Their dedication and skill are truly admirable, and interacting with them provides valuable insights into the history and tradition of tea cultivation in the region.

A highlight of the visit is undoubtedly the panoramic viewpoints strategically placed within the tea gardens. From these vantage points, the rolling hills covered in a lush carpet of tea bushes extend as far as the eye can see. The views are particularly breathtaking during sunrise and sunset, as the play of light and shadow over the landscape creates a surreal, almost magical ambiance.

Whether you're a photography enthusiast seeking the perfect shot, a nature lover yearning for a peaceful escape, or simply someone seeking to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life, the Munnar tea gardens offer an idyllic haven. The experience is enriched by the availability of guided tours that provide a deeper understanding of the tea cultivation process, as well as the historical significance of the tea industry in Munnar.

In conclusion, a visit to the tea gardens of Munnar is an unforgettable journey into the heart of nature's splendor. The combination of stunning landscapes, aromatic air, and a serene ambiance makes it a destination that deserves every accolade it receives. Munnar's tea gardens are not just a place; they are a sensory delight and a soul-soothing haven that will linger in your memory long after you leave

Lake side view is just awesome, every time you visit you will get a relax feeling, must visit place in nashik just end of the way after Sula wine yard❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ best sunset view

Boating also available just missing some food stalls there 🤤
It's a big dam side flat land occupied with grass after receded waterline, which gives this place a scenic view at the sunrise and especially sunset time. Being outside of the city, Nice cool breeze of air may be expected here throughout the year. Recommended to in evening after 4pm to get the best sight.
Sunset View Point in Baner is a hidden gem that offers breathtaking views of the city skyline. The location is perfect for anyone who wants to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a peaceful moment surrounded by nature.
Amazing scenery of salt lake sector 5 . you definitely go there to feel better whatever running in your mind .you definitely enjoy the waves of the lake. its view is mesmerizing.

Not a good point, just a rock on the road.
There's nothing such as ticket to a beach. Well some parts are well maintained. The whole beach line is kept cleaned as best as possible by the Odisha govt. Safe, tourist friendly and easy to reach and locate. Great shops for shopaholics and food lovers.

A beautiful pond and dam here + a beautiful garden and govt. Rest house
All the pictures in the existing reviews are great, but the downside is those are taken from a distance. The actual place is like a dump yard. Not at all maintained and not so happening as it seems.

Also the road to this place is not maintained and while coming down here we doubted if we're heading the right way. I saw a boat though near the bank of the river, but I guess that was mostly to click picture. This place don't even have parking space. Not worth the distance.

Very beautiful place. 215A bus stop is close to it. Sunrice nad sunset view is very beautiful. You can come here from mahisbathan bus stop also by toto. Howrah bus line s12 c11 is also available from here. In afternoon cool breeze is very enjoyable. Hotel himalaya guest house and welcome In is also in shot distance from here. Tcs is also near from here. To say about the lake it is well maintained and water is very clean. I would like to suggest to visit there. Enjoy the place during rain it's awesome view.
Good
Very peaceful and tranquil. Though the road leading upto this point is in poor condition it's worth the trouble. Rode my bicycle till here here on a weekday evening and it was super fun being alone at such a beautiful place. You get Panaromic views of the dam and the mountains in the area.

This place is 10/10

"Peace" is the word to describe this place. A delight to visit... And just watch sunset go down as you relax near waterfront

This place seems to be popular among couples and for ore wedding photoshoots but it's not much crowded so you can find a spot to relax, take some photos and enjoy the sunset
It's just green area, good for people around at least greenery is still there between concrete jungle but it's not a place to visit

Less Crowded
Good place for jogging on service road. But avoid to go at night because you won't find people nearby so it's dangerous too maybe.
But in the day time you can learn to drive here too.

Stunning nature...like swiss
Green, descent in busy chembur, Mumbai area. This is precious MCGM with local NGO must work to make it more beautiful.
If you are struggling to find some pure and fresh air in Kolkata, then you must visit this place. Here, you can walk for long distances on a path paved between huge lakes on either sides. From here you can get a complete glimpse of the Salt Lake electronic complex. You can also sit beside the lakes and watch birds, snakes and fishes, making occasional visits, or you can also watch fishermen catching fishes with their nets. Highly recommended. 👍🐦🌴
Green and peaceful place to stay. You will love it if you are someone who likes quiet place.
It's kind of a wet land filled with grass and other water plants. You cannot step into it.
But you can take a walk around the area.
One can visit if that are in the neighborhood.
Not worth the efforts to travel from any particular place to see it.
No special flora or fauna to see, but there is some marshy land with wild growth.
The plus point is that it is reachable and walkable.
Very peaceful place to live. Lots of trees, lots of greenery. Difficult to believe that such a place exists in the middle of Mumbai.
The place is no doubt great for a small walk or if you want to spend some time away from the everyday concrete life. But the issue is the area does need care. If taken care of, it could have been much more better the way it is now.

Doesn't look the same green what you see in pictures but nice place to hangout .
Great place for sunrise!
A must tracking spot for all those who are adventurous and explorer of airy spots.
The wind was blowing away the every tiny of stress or thing you carried back there, your hairs are gonna be curled at the blow of it.
Must have water along while tracking up there, else everything is superb up the hill.
Small trek but will take you away from the fuss of the city.
One of the best view point to watch the sun setting in
the hills along with the city view. One can see the whole
Baner area. There are many ways to start and end the trek. Great path to go for daily evening walk or take your dog for a walk. You can even water the newly planted plants on top with water from the water reservoir . I'll suggest to start and end from two different to get the most out of this place.
Visited here for a morning Jog, good place to climb up the hill, it's mostly rocky place as u reach the top, from tukai devi mandir's side. So just be a little bit careful. The view is gr8 from the top. Dont take elders here & Children below 5
Very beautiful specially in rainy season..
Place for Peace !!
Get here if you want to experience calmness and peace. Moreover try getting here early in the morning or in the evening. We came in the afternoon and started sweating just after 5 minutes. It's at a distance of around 3 km from Sula Vines and very near to Soma Vines. Worth the time spent.

Great morning trek place. Great views. You get good city views from above the hill. Worth visiting for weekend short treks.
Such a mind refreshing place to chill with healthy and natural vibes around.
Good place to spend a Saturday evening.
Though the stairs are not maintained well but a healthy person can easily climb up as some older people were already there at the top 😜.

Best Place Away from Noisy City !
This is my one of the best option to get away from This rat race and enjoy your own company ! You can literally go from Baner to the Audi showroom through woods , in winter it’s heaven ! People from different organisations come every to water the plants on top of the hill ! You can help them ! Or just get a book and read at the top ‘! Just best thing exist in Baner ! ❤️❤️
A quiet place to walk around. Not much activity. Can actually be unnerving to walk in the night despite habitation in the vicinity.
No special flora or fauna to see, but there is some marshy land with wild growth.
The plus point is that it is reachable and walkable. There are proper roads, not mud paths.
If one is lucky one may spot a snake.

A good picnic spot, as well a save place if you planning to enjoy in river.
Water level for is always perfect here after monsoon.
An amazing unexplored getaway for a day
I am not really sure about the name of the place but it is surely amazing for nature lovers like me, i totally loved it, family and friends can come around for picnic and now it has become a famous tourist place. Parents should take care of kids the streams and shallow rapids can be dangerous. No food or water available you need to come prepared and carry it. Lots of pictures can be taken.

Around every corner was another breath taking view of the tea bushes making a beautiful sea of varying shades of green. A nice place to take a stroll. You will see lush Green Meadows and some water body. This is a relaxed place and not much of the tourist visit here. Access road is not in good shape but once you are in you feel chilled
I think Padman movie shooting seance on this place.
A good place to hangout for people of all age groups. Watching Sunset from here is stunning. Lot of tree plantation and conservation is happening here. Takes around 30 minutes to roam on entire hill. There are lot of cement made water tanks. Scenic views of Baner, Prashan, Mhalunge, Wakad, Hinjwadi can be seen from the top. Tukai Mata temple is near the base of hill. Vehicles can be parked here.
