A must see if you are in Tehran! Golestan Palace is full of opulence from the Royals that reigned the beautiful land of Iran. Foreigners are expected to pay higher entrance fees than locals. There is so much history and architectural beauty within the palace grounds.

Golestan Palace occupies pride of place in Tehran's history. A heritage site today it is a complex of buildings and gardens initially built buy the Qajar rulers and used as their court and residence. Later on much of it was re-done and was finally used by the Pahlavi dynasty as an official space largely for formal receptions. It's ended as being an amalgamation of Persian and European art and architecture. It is opulent. It is surrounded by lush gardens. It will take a large part of the day to see it all, so keep sufficient time aside.I fall in love with this magical historical site. Badgir Building and mirror hall were more than amazing. Totally brilliant and for me one of the best in Iran and whole world.

It was awesome, but it had huge traffic. And if you want to visit the actual castle, you have to climb about 800 steps, and it takes about 50 mins. So if you want to visit there you need 1 day at least 🫠. Good Luck🔥🤝🏼

It was a very beautiful place and I enjoyed it.
There you have to walk and climb for about three hours ,and return for two hours .
An old castle on top of a mountain. You have to step up about 6000 steps to get to the entrance of the castle. But don't wory, the way up is so beautiful and green that you will not feel tired, and the view of the castle deserve it. The entry fee is almost free (less than 1$).

A unique Castle 🏰 with ancient fortress. A mesmerising landmark in the middle of mountain Jungles.

You will enjoy a great hike in a greenery twisty path with a lot of stairs. Also, you can see Gigantic trees 🌲 and hear birdsong.

It takes a gentle 90 minute walk from parking to the castle.

Be careful some parts are slippery specially in the rain. Never forget your hiking shoes. 🥾

You can eat or buy local food & souvenirs along the way. 🍳 🍪
Spring & Autumn are best seasons for visit.

⚠️ Forests & Mountains are far more beautiful without plastic bags & bottles.

Breathtaking views on top of the castle.
A feast for the eyes 🤩
My name is Ratas Hussain Shah and I visited this place from Pakistan to Iran by road on motorcycle There were many historical places here
If you want to see my documentary video, then my channel on YouTube can look at Ratas Hussain Explorer

This is a pinnacle in Islamic and Iranian architectural art. A shrine dating back to 600 years ago with outstanding blue tiles which it gets its name from. Inside the mosque there's a guide that dedicated his research on studying this place and knows a lot from every corner of the shrine. This place was made by the order of Jahanshah and he and his wife are buried inside of it, just like Taj Mahal in India. Highly recommended.

The mosque was severely damaged in an earthquake in 1780, leaving only the iwan (entrance hall).Reconstruction began in 1973 by Reza Memaran Benam under the supervision of Iranian Ministry of Culture. However, it is still incomplete.

Shush Castle (French: Château de Suse) is located in the ruins of the ancient city of Susa (Shush) in the Khuzestan Province of Iran. It was constructed by French archaeologist Jean-Marie Jacques de Morgan in the late 1890s, as a secure base for archaeological exploration and excavation. The Castle is similar to medieval monuments in France. The structure was built by local craftsmen with bricks taken from two other archaeological sites, the Achaemenid Darius/Dariush castle and the Elamite Choqazanbil ziggurat.

That's was good trip ,the soltanieh dome is a very beautiful and ancient historical place and if you're on the way in tehran tabriz free-way i recommended to you for a good short trip.😉
I visited the place in the summer and it was deserted. Very few tourist. Maybe because of the heat or maybe because it is quite far from Shiraz so it might be a bit difficult to visit it if you don't have a car. Still, you can get a snap or even a taxi and it wouldn't cost more than 20 US dollars (which makes sense if you're not going alone). If you're into history, than Pasargadae is a must see, not only the tomb, but also the structures around (the gate to the city, some column etc), spread over some distance.
Amazing UNESCO World Heritage site as the biggest brick dome in the world.
You would need about an hour to visit every part of it.
Do not miss the museum and balcony that would see unique artistic frescos!

This is a very nice place... location of the castle is really good... I can imagine how hard was for someone to conquer that castle... to get there you need to go on foot by stairs lots of stairs ... if you are not in a good condition prepare for something like atvleast 1 h climbing...plus 30-45 minutes at the top and 40 minutes going down. But all of that is worth views you will have there;)... on the way you can buy drinks and sth toneatvso no need to carry that wit you... consider proper shoes... snickers are the best while the roks might be slippery... for ladies high heels shoes are strongly NOT recommended;)
Pasargadae was founded in the 6th century BCE as the first capital of the Achaemenid Empire by Cyrus the Great, near the site of his victory over the Median king Astyages in 550 BCE. The city remained the Achaemenid capital until Darius moved it to Persepolis.
The tomb of one of the great conquerors of the ancient world
This is a special place. It was the resting place of Cyrus the Great. The tomb is a large marble edifice on a bare plain, which was once surrounded by gardens. It costs a million rials to enter, but for anyone interested in history it is worth it to see the grave of Cyrus the Great. He is remembered not merely for conquering more than anyone before him in human history, but also for, at least sometimes, showing mercy to those he conquered. This is a good place to remember him.
There were few busses there to take you to other places at Pasargad
Impressive tomb where belong to thousands years ago with simple but great Structure which shows the greatness of the land of Persia.

Jameh mosque is a spiritual historical place highly recommended if you visit Qom province.
Hello my friend
If you are planning to travel to Zanjan, I definitely suggest you to visit Soltanieh Dome
This dome is truly one of the wonders of its time and of today. Unfortunately, no matter how much I explain to you here, it does not fill the place of viewing and visiting this beautiful place for you.
I hope that the authorities and the people will pay more attention to the importance of the body in these places and do more restoration and more culture building on these issues.
Thanks

Good place for climbing up. It's about 2 km from parking lot and you need 1.5 hours to reach the top of the castle. The path is very beautiful with birds singing, rivers and covers by old tall trees. It would be somehow hard for amateurs but it worth it to go to the peak and see the castle.

Susa Castle is a castle built by Jacques Demorgan for the residence of French archaeologists near the tomb of Daniel the Prophet in Susa on a historic hill. The most important artifacts obtained from this hill include the famous statue of the Queen Mother of Estonia, the famous emerald-colored emerald glass of Shush, and the role of a mountain goat and Hammurabi's law. The castle has a medieval plan.

Shush Castle, dates from the 1890's, and has been built to serve as a hotel for the French archeologists that came to excavate the Apadana site in Shush. Most of the castle has been built with mud bricks found on the excavation site. Some of these bricks still show the original decoration that was painted on them.
This mountain castle is amazingly embedded in the green forest that overgrows its walls and courtyards. It is reached by a winding path, climbing gently through the shady forest. You can roam the castle for hours. At the path and at the foot of the castle there are plenty of places where you can eat or buy a variety of souvenirs [e.g. great local tea] can not say enough about the view and how gorgeous it is, it is a historical castle with an amazing view all around it. Nice story as well. But you might wanna be prepared for the journey, it's more than 1600 stairs on a mountain that you have to climb. It really is hard to get up there, but once you're there, you see that its worth it.
Shush Castle (French: Château de Suse) is located in the ruins of the ancient city of Susa (Shush) in the Khuzestan Province of IRAN🇮🇷.

It is built atop a hill (in Persian:"tappeh") which may contain other relics of past times.
It is an example of the pre-scientific era of archaeology, when explorers mutilated or destroyed sites in the process of examining them.

The former French government property was taken over by the Islamic Republic after the Iranian Revolution in 1979.
It is now used as a museum.
Its best-known holding is a cuneiform tablet inscribed with the Code of Hammurabi, however it was stolen and now is on display in the Louvre Museum in Paris, France.

The castle was heavily damaged by Iraqi bombs during the IRAN–Iraq War (1980-1988) but has since been completely restored by the Iranian government.

Huge mosque with beautiful calligraphy and architecture.
The blue mosque is a well known monument in Tabriz. Constructed around 1465 it was destroyed in an earthquake around 300 years later. It took another 200 years for it to be reconstructed by a famous architect from Tabriz and is now in use again. You can enter it and wander around admiring the eautiful tiles and the reconstruction. Very recommendable.

Turquoise Of Islam is the title of this special mosque because of the blue color you can find original parts of the mosque. It was built during JahanShah Kara Koyunlu in 14656. In 1779 an earthquake damaged most of the mosque including it's special domes and for 150 years ruins were left there but a restoration project 1939-1977 was done on this historical site and made it like what today you can visit.
it's a architectural miracle. i just say that, you go and see for yourself

Cannot really complain about the price, but 150.000 entrance fee feels a bit hefty compared to the cost of other things here. The inside is accessible and has intact blue tiles, but there isn't a lot too see. The outside used to have the blue tiles as well, but apart from the front side, most is gone.

On the heights of Tabarak Mt. in Tehran province, Shahrerey there is a brick-made tower which is told that is belonged to seljuk empire or buyid dynasty.
The use of the structure is unknown but it could be the possible mausoleum of one of the Seljuk kings.
The construction is made of ballast and plaster and is well standing. The way to the tower is stepped by Culture Heritage Organisation of Iran and the tower is a must-see object.
Old tower & nice view
This is a historical mosque in one of the oldest neighborhoods of Qom. The original architecture is kept.

It's an interesting castle. It can be interesting for someone like me who has never seen French castles. But I guess it won't be interesting for a French tourist who have seen more beautiful and bigger castles in France. So among the French castles this one can be counted as non-interesting. It is also called Chateau de Morgan.
P.S. The Armenians may think that this is the place where the Sassanians used to imprison the Armenian kings. But it's not.

Perhaps this Mosque does not have the beauties of other mosques in Isfahan and Shiraz but it is quite unique in Iran due to the original blue of its interiors. Unfortunately an earthquake destroyed most of the building, which is now a mix between the glorious past and the daily reconstruction.

The mosque was built in 1465, massive stone dome and extensive blue tiles used to decorate it. Unfortunately there was an earthquake in th 1770's which damaged the art work. The repair work is still ongoing. Would say it needs quite some time, as it looked like not even 50% done. The exterior is still missing most of its outer casing of tiles.
