Da oltre una settimana vengo sollecitato per condividere la mia esperienza basata esclusivamente su una telefonata con una operatrice che mi informava sbrigativanente di non poter dare informazioni riguardo allo sciopero del 9 febbraio alla Malpensa: il volo sarebbe dovuto rientrare nella fascia protetta dalle 7 le 10 ma solo il chekin 24 ore prima della partenza avrebbe potuto confermare il viaggio dal 9 al 18 in Thailandia. Una stella quindi per il fastidio espresso dalla operatrice che mi invitava a rivolgermi alla agenzia presso cui avevo acquistati il pacchetto viaggio.

Die Tour durch die Vatikanischen Museen und der sixtinischen Kapelle war super! Unser Tourguide Christina hatte ein super Wissen und es verstanden uns auf die wesentlichen Dinge in den vatikanischen Museen hinzuweisen. Sie hatte ein tolles Wissen! Skip the line ist mehr als empfehlenswert- hat prima geklappt und ein Ausweis war auch nicht notwendig. Machen wir gerne wieder - tolle Führung!
Secondo capitolo. Volo di rientro. Vi avevo già detto della follia di Neos (volo charter di Alpitour) che vola da Mombasa a Malpensa e poi torna indietro verso Fiumicino, dove eravamo diretti noi. Quindi uno scalo durante il quale rimani sull’aereo (c.d. scalo tecnico). E invece no. Arrivati a Malpensa, cambio di programma. La gente che doveva scendere a Malpensa comincia a prepararsi per lo sbarco, quando una hostess ci informa che dovevano scendere prima i passeggeri diretti a Fiumicino. Quindi siamo scesi dall’aereo e abbiamo dovuto attendere circa tre ore per imbarcarci sull’ aereo per Fiumicino. Quindi tra l’imbarco a Mombasa e l’atterraggio a Fiumicino abbiamo impiegato circa 15 ore, se consideriamo che il volo diretto Mombasa Fiumicino impiega circa 8 ore, non è male 😱. Siamo arrivati stremati anche perché dovete considerate che ti prelevano dall’albergo per accompagnarti in aeroporto 4-5 ore prima dell’orario di partenza del volo. Ultima informazione. Durante la nostra disavventura ho raccolto alcune testimonianze di persone che avevano acquistato il volo diretto, sia all’andata che al ritorno, le quali, qualche giorno prima di partire, sono state informate che avrebbero volato via Malpensa. Giudicate voi.

Das Ticket war als Skip-the-line tituliert aber man bekam dann eine Art "Gruppenticket". Es hat sich nach einem SCAM angefühlt, da uns die Tickets erst vor Ort als Gruppe ausgeteilt wurden. Man Skiped nur die Linie des Ticket-Kaufs. Securitycheck etc musste man klarerweise trotzdem machen, aber es war eine sehr lange Schlange. Alles sehr intransparent und generell eine sehr schlechte Experience. Würde es nicht empfehlen!!! Überhöhte Servicekosten für eine nicht vorhandene Assistenzaktivität.

5 autobus zeppi di persone, quindi preso taxi privato anche perché attentati dal
Volo folle che ci hanno fatto fare
3) Albergo indicato con categoria ufficiale e valutazione TURISANDA 5 stelle. Camera con bagno con odore di fogna, sciatteria ovunque, tavoletta del bagno gialla, rubinetterie incrostate di calcare, ruggine quale è la, zanzariera lurida,. La struttura è completamente fatiscente, non viene mai servita la cena, solo buffet, tavoli apparecchiati con tovagliette vecchie di anni. La piscina avrà 30 anni e la zona della spiaggia ha lettini vecchi e malandati.
Ho contattato l’assistenza in loco e l’unico rimedio offerto è stato spostarmi in altra struttura pagando euro 1.200. Quindi ti vendono qualcosa che non esiste con l’’inganno perché, parlando con il direttore dell’albergo mi ha detto che questa struttura non è 5*, e per recuperare le loro inefficienze devi pagare tu.
Risultato, il direttore dell’albergo, di sua spontanea volontà, avendo letto le mie pessime recensioni sull’albergo mi ha fatto un upgrade della stanza.
Visto il trattamento che ci è stato riservato sarà mia premura adire le vie legali perché un simile trattamento è semplicemente indecoroso e non è giusto che la passino liscia. MAI PIU’

As soon as we got in the agency we were very well attended. Staff is punctual and friendly, well organized. We were attended by Maria. She was excellent! She was very kind and she clearly has knowledge and shows she loves her job. I highly recommend the agency and Maria.

The walking tour was okay. Our guide gave us great information. The actual gondola ride was so much fun. Very skilled individuals who steer them. Loved it!
Great for first-timers to the Vatican City to be shown around. The tour went very smoothly and I enjoyed our guide’s commentary very much. My compliments to her, she is lively and informative and approachable. 👍
Franck has been very helpful and really nice. We felt very comfortable with him. We weren’t left guessing as he explained the process to us thoroughly, and he even went with us to get the tickets from the Vatican Museum. It was quick. Would definitely recommend this agency should you require ticket bookings when you go to the Vatican Museum.

Eyes of Rome gave us everything we expected and more! We wanted private tours of Vatican City, various areas in Rome and Pompeii and Herculaneum. We definitely were not disappointed. The tour guides were incredibly knowledgeable, professional and accommodating to our wishes. I cannot recommend Eyes of Rome enough! We will definitely use them on our next trip to Rome.
Very helpful and supportive. We arrived half an hour earlier. They kindly suggested us to wait inside not to freeze in the street. One of them guided us to the entrance of the museum and explained how to get the best expositions. Thank you

Tiziana (the tour’s guide) was so kind and patient, she showed us the right place and introduced us to a brief history of the city of Venice. We took their gondola tour of the grand canal and it was unforgettable. We paid 35€ per person which I think is very reasonable for what we got. We spent around 35 minutes on the water. Staff were so nice and accommodating ensuring that we knew about everything and were in the right place.

Great agency, really looked after us. From the minute we were collected from the airport to the minute we were taken back, they were attentive and organised. Excursions were fantastic, and they dealt with any last-minute changes of mind in their stride. Recommended!

One downside: it was hard to find the guides. The yellow signs you need to look for are actually carton boards they are holding. Some better explanation or visual would be nicer. Or maybe have them wear something yellow to find them more easily.

Wonderful tour of San Clemente and all the historical layers underneath. Tara was an excellent guide. Was able to converse in both English and Spanish. She let us know she actually knows 5 languages. Her knowledge and passion for history and specifically for the treasures of Rome made for an insightful and engaging hour. So glad we decided to go with Touriks.

one of the employees with a dark hair without a name tag, very rude , treats people without any respect and leaves in the middle of a conversation without saying a word. It is not a way to treat tourists like that, after all their job is to help us and answer the question if asked.

Era la prima volta che mi rivolgevo a Turisanda e devo dire che sono veramente al TOP.

Eyes of Rome, golf cart tour was amazing! It was a perfect thing to go everywhere and see everything in Rome. Our guide Marco was absolutely amazing with a wealth of knowledge, a great personality and sense of humor. He showed us hidden gems as well as all of the spots that you want to see In-depth. He told us great stories of the city, and all the sites as well. Gave us great tips for the rest of our stay in room also. Our driver, Eduardo was also extremely nice and very knowledgeable as well. They drove us all over the entire city, all the way up to the mountain of Gianicolo hill. It was an amazing view up there. This is absolutely the best way to see Rome! Definitely ask for Marco as your guide, as an archaeologist, he knew so much about all of the details of the city, and like I said, especially the hidden gems! What a wonderful experience. Thank you so much for an incredibly memorable time in Rome!
Tanzania - Santuario della Natura + Zanzibar: esperienza indimenticabile.
We got a private tour of the Colosseum and Roman Forum today from guide Gianluca Pica. It was an amazing experience and I could not recommend it more. He is interesting, good at English, is able to answer all your questions and is funny as well. We got picked up at our hotel by a van on time and got dropped off to a location of our choice. The overall experience was 10/10 !! What a day I was not bored for 1 second of the 2.5 hour long tour !

Siamo stati alle Lofoten in Norvegia e, grazie ai suggerimenti e all’organizzazione di Insafari, e di Roberto in particolare, abbiamo trascorso una vacanza indimenticabile.
Viaggio di nozze prenotato con Cartorange..destinazione Australia. Tour operator: NAAR.
Viaggio stupendo ma non di certo grazie a chi il viaggio lo ha organizzato:
- Prima notte in Australia ci è stata prenotata una camera con letti separati. Paghiamo il supplemento per avere una camera con letto matrimoniale!
- Il terzo giorno avevamo in programma un’escursione per cui dovevano passare a prenderci per portarci a prendere un traghetto per andare a Rottnest Island. Nessuno si presenta all’appuntamento. Sul libretto che abbiamo con tutte le indicazioni del viaggio non c’è alcun riferimento da poter contattare in caso di bisogno. Ci siamo organizzati in autonomia per non perdere l’escursione contattando direttamente la compagnia del traghetto.
- Causa mal tempo salta l’escursione a Kangaroo Island e non sarebbe un problema se non fossimo stati completamente abbandonati a noi stessi. Nessuno ci comunica che non sarebbero partiti i ferry, cosa che veniamo a scoprire solo dopo che ci presentiamo al porto (gli operatori ci dicono di aver contattato la sera prima il nostro tour operator). Contattata l’assistenza ci viene detto che dovevamo contattare il fornitore australiano. Il numero fornito non era attivo perché era sabato e, una volta contattati grazie a un numero verde trovato online ci viene detto che dovevamo arrangiarci (le parole erano più dolci ma il significato non cambia. Piani B non erano previsti e nessuno ci aiuta a capire almeno cosa sia meglio fare). Assistenza in Italia: NULLA (ci sono state delle chiamate solo per sapere se avevamo risolto la situazione).
Arrivati a questo punto uno spererebbe essere finita e invece NO. Tante piccole disattenzioni che ti fanno capire con quanta superficialità sono state fatte le cose. Dall’indicazione sbagliata delle vie in cui trovare i ristoranti suggeriti nell’opuscolo che ti viene consegnato ad inizio viaggio e fatto apposta per te (bastava una semplice ricerca su google), all’indicazione completamente errata di cosa portare nel deserto per l’escursione di 3 giorni.
Finisco dicendo che ho aspettato 3 mesi prima di vedermi accreditato quanto mi spettava per i servizi non fruiti ma questo non è colpa loro (che a quanto pare non potevano neanche fornirmi l’importo di quanto dovuto) ma di Cartorange, ottimo partner di un tour operator inesistente.
Ora, per noi è stato il primo viaggio organizzato così lontano da casa e per il quale ci siamo affidati a chi organizza viaggi per mestiere! Forse è normale che sia così ma a mio avviso qualcosa non ha girato.

We booked a day long excursion through Eyes of Rome whom we were very pleased with.
We had a chauffeur Francisco who picked us from the port in a beautiful BMW.
He drove very carefully as my wife is a nervous passenger.
We arrived in the centre of Rome where we met our guide Rosalba.
She took us firstly to the Vatican and Sistine chapel. I am not very good on my feet so she suggested we took a wheelchair and she pushed me around.
It was a good plan as there was a lot of walking and steps.
There was a lot to see and we only saw a fraction. The Sistine chapel was magnificent and also the sculptures, paintings and tapestries.
Rosalba’s knowledge was incredible and there was nothing she did not know.
We then visited St Peter’s sqare, but it was too busy to go into the Basilica.
Once again Rosalba talked about the Pope and how new Pope’s were elected. A fascinating morning.
We also visited by limousine the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Colosseum and the Pantheon.
We would never have been able to do in a small group and have the personal attention we had and learned so much without Rosalba and Francisco.
Eyes of Rome listened to what we wanted in our short stay in Rome and provided the most memorable day for us.
We can only say a big thank you to everyone who made our holiday very special,

The people were helpful , but when I pay 46€ per person for a “skip the line tour” I shouldn’t have to show up 20 minutes early to wait for the tour to start. And then when I show up 20 minutes early I shouldn’t be told I have to wait another 20 minutes more than expected because it’s “too busy”.

Recently traveled with family to Rome and arranged for some tours through Eyes of Rome. Can't say enough good things about them. I've taken tours of the Vatican and Colosseum/Forum previously but this was a whole new level of experience. I booked the Vatican Museums Early Morning Prime Tour: VIP Entrance and the Crypt of the Popes and Dennis was our guide. If you have the chance to book this tour ask for Dennis, he was fantastic and it is worth doing the early morning VIP tour. Even if you get a private tour and skip the lines tour it's not the same. The early morning VIP tour is much more peaceful and enjoyable experience, especially with the right tour guide. Another day we booked the Colosseum, Underground & Roman Forum Tour with Elisa as our guide. She was so enthusiastic and knowledgable she truly made the experience a special one. Definitely try to get the underground portion of the tour. It's well worth being down there and seeing engineering and thought that went into the building of the Colosseum. Thanks again to Eyes of Rome for two very special experiences.
Fabulous skip the line tour of the Vatican museum and Sistine Chapel with our personal guide, Deborah. She was by far the best guide I’ve ever had. A true Roman who is passionate about her city, very knowledgeable, very well connected (to help you get VIP treatment) and brilliant at her job.
I had booked a tour of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel through Tiqets website. I missed that the date had changed. The wonderful staff at touristation at 95 Viale Vaticano we so very kind and helpful. They found us a good solution and it all worked out well.
If you have a chance, go there and book in person. The tour was good. It’s a lot to see but you can take more time after the tour if needed to wander around. An amazing place!

Un’esperienza umiliante con questo tour penoso, sono riusciti a fare qualcosa di inimmaginabile, ovvero appena arrivati a Tahiti, senza alcun ritardo, ci hanno lasciato senza trasferimento in hotel perché si sono affidati ad un’operatrice isterica che aveva fretta di andare via e senza alcuna cura ci hanno lasciarti da soli in aereporto. Pessimo da denuncia alle autorità di controllo sui tour operetor

Vacanza a Marsa Alam, partenza 12 settembre con rientro in Italia il 19. All'arrivo in aeroporto vengo informato che nel grande piazzale dove ci sono tutte le navette per gli hotel devo trovare quello contraddistinto con il numero 12. Dopo un discreto peregrinare sotto il sole cocente dell'Egitto, e accertatomi che il suddetto bus non esisteva, mi viene finalmente incontro un locale che mi accompagna verso il mezzo che mi porterà al resort. Durante il tragitto lo stesso mi informa che un assistente Alpitour, tale Mattia, sarebbe venuto il giorno dopo in hotel per il rituale incontro informativo del primo giorno. Il giorno 13, per circa 15 minuti, ho incontrato in hotel un'altra assistente (di cui purtroppo non ricordo il nome) che mi ha gentilmente a grandi linee portato a conoscenza delle informazioni basilari relative al soggiorno. In quella occasione mi è stato anche detto che il Mattia di cui sopra mi avrebbe poi contattato con tutte le informazioni necessarie per il rientro. Un giorno prima della partenza, il 18, mi è stato notificato su Whatsapp un messaggio non firmato con il quale mi si informava che l'indomani mattina sarebbe venuto qualcuno a prendermi per accompagnarmi in aeroporto. All'arrivo in aeroporto non ho trovato assolutamente nessuno di Alpitour/Turisanda a fornire assistenza o indicazioni, nonostante qualche difficoltà all'ingresso a causa dei controlli molto scrupolosi e burocratici (molto più che in Italia). In conclusione si può quindi dire che la mia esperienza è stata da "turista fai da te", lo stesso che Alpitour demonizzava in un famoso spot pubblicitario qualche decennio fa.
Posso tranquillamente affermare che il tour operator Alpitour/Turisanda mi è servito solo per la prenotazione via web della vacanza, un pò poco direi per chi si vanta di offrire pacchetti turistici e assistenza al top.

We were approached to buy Skip-the-line tickets for the Vatican and Sistine Chapel on the street and were very skeptical, but we were so happy that we did! First of all, going would be entirely useless without a guide because there is so much to see and you really need more information to appreciate what you're looking at. Second, waiting in NOT skip the lines on the day we went took 2+ hours so it was worth it to just get in without waiting in the blistering hear. On top of it all, Alexandra was an amazing your guide. We were a family of native and non-native English speakers and it has been really hard to find tour guides in Italy that we could all understand but she was very very easy to understand. Not only this, but she was so knowledgeable and was so genuinely excited to share her knowledge with us (she mentioned she had a passion for archeology). She kept the group moving at a good pace and was careful not to lose anybody, which I cannot say of the other tours we saw inside the vatican. All her information also came in a way that was funny and entertaining and even engaged the younger kids in our tour group. Great tour

Appena rientrati da New York, con pacchetto "east cost". Comincio col dire che a Malpensa, nel punto indicato, banco Alpitour, non c'era nessuno a accoglierci. Solo al gate abbiamo trovato una persona che semplicemente ci ha indicato lo sportello Neos dove fare il check in. All'aeroporto JFK una tizia senza nessun cartellino riconducibile al nostro tour Operator ci ha indirizzati a un pulmino. Qui l'autista ci ha passato al telefono un'altra tizia letteralmente fuori di testa, isterica perché non trovava la nostra pratica. L'autista ha fatto capire che voleva essere pagato, nonostante il trasferimento fosse compreso. In hotel la corrispondente Alpitour sembrava interessata solo a venderci escursioni facoltative, carissime. Devo dire comunque, che a parte l'inizio un po' discutibile, il resto del tour è stato bello. Solo un paio di appunti: come si fa a non prevedere l'uso delle audioguide, che ormai si usano dappertutto? Con un gruppo di 22 persone, mi sembra il minimo. La guida sostiene che Turisanda non le fornisce. Suggerisco fortemente di adeguarsi. E poi, le escursioni facoltative proposte dalla guida, eccessivamente costose, anche semplicemente per andare in metro o per arrivare in centro a Washington con il bus. Non includere la visita alla statua della Libertà, anche solo dal traghetto, mi è sembrato assurdo, hanno preferito Soho! La cosa raccapricciante, infine, è stata "ricordare" al gruppo di dare la mancia, per autista e guida, fissando anche l'importo. Mai vista una cosa simile. Ecco, direi che si è caduti in aspetti poco piacevoli che si potevano evitare.
Ottobre 2019 ci convinciamo a prenotare presso un'agenzia un viaggio + crociera, partenza metà Giugno 2020 4 giorni a New York, trasferimento in aereo per Miami dove avremmo pernottato 1 notte per poi imbarcarci su una nave MSC per fare la crociera ai Caraibi, dopo vari preventivi con cifre esorbitanti accettiamo e firmiamo un contratto per la modica cifra di quasi 9.000 (3 persone) e preciso che non vi era compreso ne i trasferimenti dagli aeroporti agli alberghi e neanche la prima colazione. In agenzia alla nostra domanda chi è Naar ci assicurano che è un tour operator super affidabile. Diamo un acconto di euro 2.300. Arriva il mese Febbraio 2020 chiudono tutto per il Covid, nonostante ciò mi viene chiesto dall'agenzia la seconda rata e noi chiaramente rifiutiamo, poi ci viene proposto di attivare l'assicurazione e anche in questo caso rifiutiamo. Visto la riapertura a Luglio (ma non dei viaggi negli U.S.A) chiediamo il rimborso ci viene riferito dall'agenzia che dovevamo aspettare 6 mesi, che sono diventati 12 mesi, che sono diventati 18 mesi, 24 mesi. Visto e considerato che in teoria avevamo un voucher con msc chiediamo di poter usare il nostro voucher per fare una crociera negli Emirati la Naar in via del tutto eccezionale ci fanno un preventivo Partenza da Milano a Doha oppure a Dubai un pernottamento e crociera per soli 15/16 mila euro in pratica più del doppio rispetto a MSC ovviamente rifiutiamo e non abbiamo potuto usufruire dei bonus a bordo. Finalmente arriva il mese di DICEMBRE 2022 pensiamo che non sia necessario chiedere il rimborso lo sanno già che ci devono questi soldi, per fortuna abbiamo chiamato e ci viene riferito che il giorno della scadenza dobbiamo fare domanda via pec, ma la cosa più ASSURDA è che ci viene riferito che l'accredito in banca sarebbe arrivato dopo 20 giorni se andava bene, VERGOGNA dopo 30 MESI CHE AVEVANO I MIEI SOLDI E SAPEVANO CHE DOVEVANO RESTITUIRLI ALLA SCADENZA DOVEVO ASPETTARE ALTRI 20/30 GIORNI???

This is a scam. I bought tickets, they charged my card, sent a broken link and disappeared. No one responded on the phone or to an email. We went to their office, but it is not there and no one heard of them
The gifts that they have are all so beautiful and as they say are blessed. Gold items they said are exclusively made only in Vatican and won't be available anywhere. I'm happy with what I have bought.

We really enjoyed this tour! Palatine Hill is absolutely beautiful. We learned so many interesting things and it was very nice not having to wait in long lines for anything. It was a wonderful experience.

This “Skip-the-Line Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel Group Tour” was set up via Viator, so I had to find the office, which was only minimally complicated. The process was fairly simple, and we were paired with Marco.
Marco is a wealth of knowledge and has a great personality as a tour guide, he’s a perfect pairing for this excursion. The tour was not only focused on the art, but a wealth of history dating back to the early days of, the Hebrews, Greeks and Romans, which led to all of the fascination within the Vatican walls.
I strongly recommend the store, and it is easy on the body, I would, however, recommend bringing water! There is nowhere along the route, other than the beginning to grab some thing, if you are thirsty.

We just finished a full day of touring Rome, and we can't stop smiling all thanks to Alessandro. We never dreamed we'd be touring the eternal city with a real-life archaeologist who had first-hand experience excavating the ancient ruins. Nothing cooler than that! Not only was he extremely knowledgeable in all things Roman history, but he was absolutely hilarious and such a pleasure to spend the day with.

Friendly, well run bus tour. Was a bit of waiting around but that is to be expected for somewhere as busy as the Vatican. Our guide did a good job of checking we were all there! The bus tour was really interesting- great to see the Vatican grounds. I just wish they had fully removed the plastic covering on the open bus as it obscured the view somewhat.

This tour was great! We arrived to the office at 2:00 when our tour was at 2:30, and we left right on time. We got to skip the lines coming into the Vatican museums, and our tour guide Maggie was very aware and alert on where everyone in our group was at all times. She answered all our questions and was very kind. She made us feel very comfortable and we had a lot of fun. The tour was amazing and totally worth it. If you are looking for yours, definitely do it with this company! Even the people at the office were really nice and attentive.
I should have read other people's comments, and avoid wasting money on these scammers. For double the price, all they do is round up all the tourists, walk them across the street, then have them wait 30 minutes at the museum's ticket hall to purchase the real "skip the line" ticket. Once you have the ticket, you are free to go. Other than extra delay and confusion, they absolutely add no value for your museum experience.

Great semi private tour of the Vatican with family. Been to the Vatican many times but not with family. Took a tour due to previous experience and the busyness of the museum and had a great experience.
We did a tour of the Basilica di San Pietro with a climb of the dome and it was incredible. Amazing views from the top of the dome and a great tour overall, especially because it's so early in the morning so you beat most of the crowds. Highly recommend!

This is not an official ticket store!!!!! They charge 31 euro per person in place of 17euro. They show you pictures of the f the queue and say that you don’t have to wait. Also lies. Maybe official thieves! Stay away!
A wonderful little jewelry shop in the heart of Italy. I went there a couple of years ago and was very impressed with the service. Considering that the shop is located in extremely busy area the staff was great with the individual approach to everyone seeking advice, cracking jokes and trying to help as much people they could. They were kind to present different gold items I enquired and helped to choose the perfect gift.
Since then I've been in touch as I liked the quality of the products, and I am happy to see that they are stepping up on a new level considering the worldwide situation and travel restrictions and are very eager to schedule video calls and communicate well via Instagram and WatsApp. Good to see business I like keeping steady in these times, when it's harder than ever! Keep going guys , you rock!

These are scammers. Please don’t buy tickets from them. You can get ticket at the museum entrance for 17£ and these guys charge 31£. The salespeople are scammers
Unfortunately I have to advise everyone to strongly avoid this travel agency, unless you're willing to throw money away!
After booking and paying a honeymoon through them for last summer, due to travel restrictions, the vacation never took place. Instead the agency postponed the trip to the summer 2021, and so decided to withhold the amount that was already paid, ONLY to cancel the whole trip a few weeks before departure due to no valid reason. And obviously deciding also not make any refunds, although the decision to cancel was the company's and not the clients.
Unless they're willing to reevaluate their cancellation policies, it's better to take your money elsewhere, to a more reliable and professional agency!

Wonderful land .
We are so glad that we selected Eyes of Rome for our tour. Our tour guide, Alessia, was amazing and set the stage for a great trip. She was so knowledgeable and able to help us visualize how grand the Colosseum and Palatine Hill (personal favorite) were in their hay day. We added a three hour city tour to see Trevi fountain and the Pantheon - along the way she pointed out many sites that we wouldn't have never noticed, like the balcony from which Mussolini gave his speeches, the "wedding cake" building and countless other spots. We can't recommend them, and her, enough - thanks for a day we will never forget in Rome!

We were told 10 minutes to get in. We bought our tickets at 12:15 and stood waiting for our tour to start at 12:30. We stood there in the heat until about 12:45, and then set off. It was 13:15 by the time we arrived at the actual museum (12 minutes walk from the Capriotti shop according to google maps). The guide couldn’t have walked any slower and it became clear that he was stalling to collect other groups who had bought tickets in different locations. Then we stood at the museum for a further 20 minutes or so waiting to get headsets etc. The guide brushed off any questions about this by saying the Vatican is a different country. This does not explain why it took over an hour for what should have been a 12 minute walk. And also, the Vatican has been a “different country for a long time now, one would imagine they’d have planned for this.
When I questioned the company rep who was running around trying to organise what should be a pretty standard procedure, he said that it’s a 2 hour tour from the time we get in. We had another appointment we had to reschedule as we had been told we’d be finished by 14:30. He also said that it was very busy. Again, the Vatican museum being “very busy” in August is hardly an unforeseen event.
When we were in the museum the guide was actually excellent but unfortunately this seems to be another company in Rome who know most of their customers won’t be returning anyway and so don’t really care about their experience.
Take the time to find a reputable tour company or else do your own research and get there early.

I can’t believe there’s such an unreal place in the world... the cloud and the blue sky seemed so unreal! You have to go and visit by yourself to experience the place!
I loved it, the two ladies that helped me were very friendly and helpful. I felt like they were inside my head when I told them what gifts I wanted to buy and my price range on each gift. I bought fabulous gifts in Sterling silver and a beautiful necklace for myself of course. Can't wait to go back.
Amazing island town, connected by a walking bridge... must see!
Definitely worth it for the views. This is a starving town that is fully relying on the tourists so don't expect there to be too much to buy in terms of items made locally. Check out the cavern that is 1 Euro for entry definitely worth the cost of entry. Plan to spend half a day here.
