Good experience in the city! It was a nice rest and a quiet space to explore. I loved the bamboo trees area and the view overlooking the whole city. I felt safe even walking alone and exploring the whole place. It was not crowded and there are different areas to check. Worth the 4 euro entrance fee
Still an interesting visit in December during our time in Rome. However the ticket price 2023-12-08 was 5 Euro and it closes at 15.30. Not 16.30. We thought it was 16.30 because of the data online but got shouted at by angry Italians who did not speak English for being in the park after 16.00 which felt unnecessary because we missed to check the actual closing time on the ticket from the entrance which did actually say 15.30.
The park does feel very under-financed and needs maintenance compared to many other botanical gardens and you should probably keep that in mind if you have ever been to meticulous botanical gardens in NY, London, Paris or equals. This park during this time of the years seems to only prioritize their light show and not the wellbeing or maintenance of their plants.

I visited the botanical garden of Rome yesterday, and I must say I was quite disappointed. The park itself is beautiful and has amazing potential, but it is very unkept. Dead plants and plant waste everywhere. Most of the plants inside the planetariums were dying or dead, and the area was dirty. It was obvious that no one is looking after the plants. I understand that December may be out of season, but this is the result of poor maintenance- not the season.
Several people were working there, but they were all busy adding even more Christmas lights (they were already in abundance). I was very displeased and left quite agitated that such a place is not properly looked after. As previously states, the park has amazing potential, but it requires that resources are spent looking after and maintaining the plants and trees.

Rossella was an Angel. She gave us the best tour of the limoncello process as well as a great lunch and samples of their products today. I would definitely recommend booking their tour in advance
Stopped here for look after seeing the reviews....wish I hadn't bothered. The garden was gd to see, but as they had a coach party in we were not offered any samples even when I asked. I was asked if I was with the party, I said no, so I was told I could buy something, despite it saying we offer free samples on the door. In the words of Julia Roberts in pretty woman...." big mistake...huge.....we walked up town and spent obscene amounts of money in a shop that was welcoming to everyone not just groups....my advice shop elsewhere.
Geheimtipp für Fotos vom Colosseum, vorallem in der Nacht. Nicht zu viel los, bei uns hat gerade ein Brautpaar Fotos vor dem nächtlich beleuchteten Colosseum gemacht, sehr süß.
Brilliant escape from the pace of Romes streets into a bountiful bontanical wonderland. Two and half hours was not enough to fully explore all realms of this oasis within the ancient city. The butterfly garden is an extra charge and well worth the $5EU

Only stopped for an ice-cream, and it was delicious. Had a quick walk through the garden (was open today) but not much to see. Apparently the hotel Eden tries to be eco friendly and grows some of its own produce. Good on them!
Fantastic botanical gardens with areas to shade from the sun if needed. The greenhouses have a really impressive selection of cacti. The Japanese area is also really nice.

Their lemoncello was recommended to us by our Airbnb host, so we had to stop by! Their garden is beautiful, so we ordered a lemon slushie and bought a bottle of lemoncello - we mixed the two and sat out in their garden enjoying it. It was very good! The woman working here was very nice, too!
Did the tour and limoncello making experience which was something novel to do in Sorrento. It was great to hear how limoncello is made though we hoped for a longer tour and history somehow. Got a little 100ml bottle free at the end which was nice and bought some more to take home. For anyone else doing the tour definitely bring mosquito repellent or long trousers as I got super bitten in the one hour I was there. Best bit is the icecream and the limoncello!
Palantine hills is our favorite spot for ancient Roman ruins. Buy tickets ahead of time, you can get a combination ticket for the Colosseum, Palantine Hills and the Roman Forum. All are excellent, but we can spend hours roaming the area of the Palantine Hills.
Good place to have some break on those lazy walk around centre!!!! Had a water fountain too.

I visited this area as part of a tour of the Colosseum and Roman Forum. Visually, this was my least favorite of the three, but the history behind the Palatine was incredible.

Palatine Hill was amazing to see. Such rich history layered throughout the site! Be aware, the bathrooms are few and far between, so use them when they're available. Also, bring a waterbottle to fill at the many fountains that provide drinking water, especially on hot days.
I found that a hat, sunglasses, and supportive shoes made my trip much more enjoyable on a hot day.

Wonderful walk. Breathtaking archeological site. Taking a walk here after lunch is a good choice, you really get to see the Roman culture here. As you set foot on top of the hill, you could even overlook part of Rome and the colosseum.
This really tiny little garden (Giardin is Garden, Giardinetto is Little Garden) is the perfect location viewing the entire Colosseo from across the street. The location is so popular that it is always swamped with people taking wedding photos by professional photographers. Not much facility apart from the gorgeous views from the location though.

Far more vast and impressive than the Forum area with some real "hidden" gems if you venture far enough. Great ruins and experience of what the emperors of Rome experienced.
If visiting Sorrento and arriving by bus, just 1 minute from the bus station. Really excellent place to stop for a drink of water or some ice cream etc. Large selection of gifts mainly themed on lemon. Lovely free garden to sit and chat.

Cute place to stop for a refreshment and take a quick wander in the small access you have to the lemon grove. We sampled limoncello and ended up buying 3 different flavours. My favourite is the melon. The lemon sorbet was delicious. Not sour like they usually are. There are restrooms on site.
A must see! Far more interesting than the Colosseum. Gives an idea of the splendour that the emperors lived in. Also great to see when it’s hot as there are lot of trees that protects against the summer sun. You can also have a great view on the Roman Forum. You can easily spend a couple hours here. Sever places have tap water and toilets. Also some vending machines for soft drinks and coffee.
Lovely garden to spend an afternoon, strolling and enjoying the plant specimens. A lot of good picnic spots and benches to enjoy the views. The rose garden still had plants in bloom (early July) and the air was fragrant. Situated on a hillside, it is pleasant to walk the interconnected terraced paths through its bushes and enjoy the view of the garden and Rome stretching beneath you, framed by colorful petals. The Japanese garden is small but well planned and has a covered gazebo perfect to enjoy the waterfall and relax. Awesome palm collection in the palm garden. We were there on a Sunday and it wasn't at all crowded, a wonderful respite from the busy attractions we also visited. Bring a parasol on a sunny day: there is a lot of shade but also a lot of gardens without cover.

Great spot to see the Colosseum away from the crowds, also provides a little shade on a very hot summer day
This this the location of the Roman forum, get an audioguide or a tour. There is so much here that needs an explanation. It's so beautiful and soaked in history. Be aware there is little shade on sunny days, but there are water fountains located around the area. Bring water bottles.

La struttura del Giardino che più salta all'occhio quando si entra un esso, è la parte centrale o Teatro Massimo. Venne realizzato con tufo, granito e concrezioni calcaree e arricchito da enormi sculture e obelischi che sovrastano le essere sovrapposte. Venne realizzato quasi interamente da Carlo Simonetta verso la fine del 1600. In cima al Teatro si trova una statua di Unicorno 🦄, che rappresenta il simbolo del casato dei Borromeo, cavalcato dalla statua dell'Onore e affiancati dalle statue di Arte e Natura. Ai lati si trovano anche quattro Obelischi che rappresentano i quattro Elementi. All'interno delle nicchie sottostanti si trovano le figure allegoriche del Lago Verbano e del fiume Ticino e Toce. Posta dietro l'unicorno si apre una Terrazza aperta al meraviglioso panorama del Lago Maggiore e dello stesso Giardino che, dalla sommità più alta di circa 37 metri, domina la visuale senza ostacolo alcuno. I gabbiani fanno da cornice a tutto questo.

Probably the most PERFECT place to take romantic photos or get engaged as we did. I hired a professional photographer, Alina G. Vicenti, and she discreetly took video and photos of us talking and then when I proposed. You can see from the photos that you are very close to the colosseum yet there aren’t many tourists around. It’s a city park open to the public, yet not too frequented. You will be so happy with your personal or professional photos of you, a couple or a group of people with the famous and beautiful Roman landmark The Colosseum there.

Very nice place you can visit to have a wonderful view of the Colosseum. Not very busy, beautiful and totally free!
You come here to take photos of the colosseum! This is “the spot!” Luckily it’s not too far away from the colosseum, the only down side is the crowd of people. Even here if was full of people and crowded during the midday. It you want photos without all the people, either come early in the morning and photoshop them out if you really care about that kind of stuff.
We could have spent all day there. We were just three hours! Such an amazing place. In my opinion so much better than the Colosseum. Note that this comes as part of the deal with the Colosseum tickets if you select the correct option.

È la parte meno famosa e più intima del famoso palazzo ma non la meno interessante. Conosciuto anche come viridarium o giardino segreto e fungeva da loggia per ricevere gli ospiti papale, regalando belle e serene vedute. La sua sistemazione è la stessa delle sue origini quattrocentesche e anche le essenze arboree sembrano essere molto antiche. Ho notato un cespuglio di rose a guisa di albero, mai visto così alto. Anche qui una sorta di lapidarium con reperti romani a decorare il portico. Più bello per certi versi del giardino esterno. Meriterebbe maggiore attenzione. Went during the Christmas markets. Great gift shop, but beware the Pisgeon Photgraphers. They have a strong hustle. Do not under any circumstances take their corn/bird seed. From then on you're either robbed or roped in. Or Both.....
Amazing building in the center of Milan, Italy. Its a must see if you visit Milan. The building is magnificent, such a beauty and definitely a great place to have awesome and memorable pictures taken.
A fountan that's easily missed as something noteworthy, and probably due to the fact that the main satyr statues around the fountain walls are no longer there. It needs some degree of renovation to bring it back to how it once was.

My beautiful neighborhood!
Ma ti pare che nessuno l'ha recensito? È un luogo molto particolare e suggestivo e non sembra stonare con le antichità delle quali riproduceva ambientazioni. Regalo dei Farnese venne pian piano dimenticato e abbandonato fino a essere riportato alla luce da Boni e, dopo un bel restauro, restituito un paio di anni or sono al pubblico. Pare che funzionino ancora i giochini di acqua e gli scherzi che bagnavano gli ignari spettatori. Ora, un po' fuori la portata del passaggio dei turisti, è un luogo di pace e riposo. Guardate le foto e i video che ho postato e le altre recensioni sui fori e su Roma e le sue meraviglie che ho fatto e se sono stato utile cliccate su utile.

Posto meraviglioso
Tenuta storica del del papa della mafia siciliana Michele Greco, veniva usata pure come tenuta di caccia per fare divertire gli amici del proprietario. Viene citata innumerevoli volte nel maxi processo, per le sue frequenze. Luogo incantevole alle porte di Palermo. Peccato che è stata abbandonata.
Uno degli ultimi polmoni verdi rimasti alle porte di Palermo. Una vasta distesa di agrumeti perlopiù coltivati a mandarini tardivi di Ciaculli attorno all'antico casale settecentesco del Fondo agricolo Favarella.

Dort befindet sich die Haltestelle für die Stadtrundfahrt. Diese ist NICHT zu empfehlen. Es gibt mehrere Sprachen zur Auswahl die aber nicht funktionieren. Wir haben an ca. 10-12 Sitzplätzen keine deutsche Sprache über die Kopfhörer anhören können! Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis verdient 0 Sterne
