I really enjoyed visiting this place. Entrance is KES100. Mr. George is very hospitable and takes you through the museum in a very articulate way. Before you start the tour, you take a seat on the peace chair and he gives you a very detailed tour of every wall. He engages you in conversation and encourages you to share your thoughts. The walls are lined with pictures of that fateful day, there are debris like glass, personal items of some of the victims as well as their stories and those of their loved ones. There is also both a long and short film of the day that you get to watch. I personally learned a lot from the stories. You can also write a few words on the chalk board. Upstairs, they have a conference room and a boardroom. One is named after Wangari Maathai and the other after Nelson Mandela. Their quotes are lined on the walls and there is an African theme. You can rent both rooms for a meeting and the rates are reasonable. Their aim is to promote peace. Definitely stop by.

Lots of history and interesting artifacts in the museum.
The snake museum has snakes (surprisingly) but also tropical fish lizards and crocodiles. Not expensive either. Although I found walking to it a bit weird as it was along a motorway slip road with no path but don’t they that put you off

Its such a good place to relax your mind by the attractive goodies in the museum.history is abundantly present and good fresh air is key.the entrance fee for citizens is 200 and 1000 for foreigners.
Our Christmas at the Museum was amazing. You'll need patience at the entrance because you have to pay through E-Citizen. Waiting time depends on the number of people visiting that day.

A lovely place to learn history and appreciate evolution. Q wonderful place to take your kids
We had a delightful afternoon in the museum. I have been to world famous museums like the Smithsonian’s in the USA, and I’d rank this up there with them. It has good displays on the evolution, natural history and Kenya’s national history. All 3 displays were fascinating, factual yet insightful. We received a tour from museum volunteer Griffin and he was splendid at explaining and answering our questions. We are an inquisitive family.
If you like to visit the place it will be good just pay the entrance fee in cash otherwise you have to go through a bad registration form for payment with your entire information about you they don't have card readers. At the end it even won't work I was not the only one. There is no ATM on side .
Grab a guide and enjoy the rich history you will learn about at this museum. It's a great place to learn about the people & history of Kenya as well as wildlife. I recommend the snake tour as well. There are very knowledgable and entertaining guides that enhance the experience.

It is a very good place to learn about both the history of Kenya and its beautiful nature. Also you'll have an idea about the horrors of colonisation. There's a snake farm and a small aquarium inside and I strongly suggest you buy the combined ticket for all of them as it's way cheaper than buying 3 separate tickets. Also the other two are not so big so it's best to combine all 3 in a single visit. There's a restaurant but it's really expensive and overall the area is really beautiful. Definitely worth a visit.
Good place to go if you want to understand the history of Kenya. You can also hire a guide, payment is a tip, which I did and I think that makes it more enjoyable and easier to go through the rooms chronologically.

A must visit for locals and international guests in Nairobi.
It's easily accessible. Beautiful greener. There is plenty of safe parking
I loved the museum! A great way to learn more about the Kenyan culture and history. I recommend booking a tour with the local guides who are offering their services right at the entrance of the museum. It makes the whole experience even more interesting. I was also impressed to see some of the world’s oldest and most intriguing hominid specimens!

The best place to be. First, it's breathtaking, cool and calm place. Secondly, for those who like to remind themselves of the past or those who want to learn about the past since they were not there, then this is the exact right place to be.
An awesome guide who was knowledgeable and patient with our large and wandering group😊. He was thorough and concise and shared his country’s rich history with energy and pride! The temporary exhibition of a young, talented, and self-taught artist was icing on the cake!! It was a great day of learning about the rich history of this great country!

It's not a big museum. However, remains of some early human beings are interesting. Very good for students of anthropology. Also, the collection of birds here is one of the best in the world.
The place to go if you wanna discover more about the history of Kenya and some of the animals within.
The snake park too is an awesome place to visit, especially if you wanna unlearn some myths about snakes. There's beautiful aquarius with beautiful fish too...

There's so much to Learn. So much to Love here. You could spend days here, weeks and still not finish it all. It's so rich with knowledge.Heritage
It also has amazing sights to behold
A very impressive place, very informative and at the same time a warning to future generations that religious terrorism must not be successful, regardless of religion or political orientation.
It's nice to be back to the museum... 1000s of birds varieties.its also nice they have Sudan, the rhino preserved for history.

Just ensure you have eCitizen access for payment purposes.

The place is rich in history and is the 'graveyard of fossils'.
Easily accessible via public and private means.
A must visit if you are in the city.

I wasn't sure how good an experience the museum would be. But I really liked it. Especially because we got a free guide to take us around and explain to us the animal, humankind, and Kenyan history. I learned a lot about Kenya during this museum visit. We tipped the guide for his volunteer service.
Captivating
It part of the August 7th Memorial Park and the museum costs Kshs. 100 for residents to access.

It acts as a memorial spaces for the August 7th bombing that took places in 1998. Clothes from the victims and debris from vehicles bombed are preserved and showcased in the museum.

A documentary film commemorating the bombing is also available if one is interested in watching. Photos captured on the day are also displayed.

The museum also offers conferencing facilities.
