I really enjoyed visiting this place. Entrance is KES100. Mr. George is very hospitable and takes you through the museum in a very articulate way. Before you start the tour, you take a seat on the peace chair and he gives you a very detailed tour of every wall. He engages you in conversation and encourages you to share your thoughts. The walls are lined with pictures of that fateful day, there are debris like glass, personal items of some of the victims as well as their stories and those of their loved ones. There is also both a long and short film of the day that you get to watch. I personally learned a lot from the stories. You can also write a few words on the chalk board. Upstairs, they have a conference room and a boardroom. One is named after Wangari Maathai and the other after Nelson Mandela. Their quotes are lined on the walls and there is an African theme. You can rent both rooms for a meeting and the rates are reasonable. Their aim is to promote peace. Definitely stop by.
A very impressive place, very informative and at the same time a warning to future generations that religious terrorism must not be successful, regardless of religion or political orientation.

It part of the August 7th Memorial Park and the museum costs Kshs. 100 for residents to access.
It acts as a memorial spaces for the August 7th bombing that took places in 1998. Clothes from the victims and debris from vehicles bombed are preserved and showcased in the museum.
A documentary film commemorating the bombing is also available if one is interested in watching. Photos captured on the day are also displayed.
