Highly recommended for light taste eater! I’m a Cantonese felt the taste very suitable for me!

Pyongyang style naengmyun. This is one of the famous places in Seoul where you can get a legit bowl of this stuff. It will feel bland and mild, but that’s how it’s supposed to be.

One of the old noodle houses. Can't resist the simple taste of the cold noodle soup. Cold pork cut was also very yummy.

When you first try it, it doesn't seem particularly delicious, but after a month, you start craving it again due to its addictive quality.
The warm broth that comes with it doesn't have a particularly special flavor.

The food was very delicious. Especially the bulgogi was impressive. I will visit again next time

Pyeongyang cold noodles were too bland for my liking, and I'm someone who usually eats pretty bland stuff. But can tell that it's still really good quality stuff.
Dumplings were really big and juicy.
Pork slices were also good quality.

They have a review event where you get a free soda if you leave a review so some of the reviews may be fake.

The environment is very clean and well decorated.

It's the same building with Olive Young and the elevator is next to OY and it's on the 3rd floor.

Food are awesome and the owner & servers are quick and helpful. A must-go place in Myeongdong!!!

This is a rare restaurant where you can taste North Korean-style cold noodles. While there are many places offering cold noodles in Korea, not many serve the North Korean version. The flavor is very mild and not at all intense, which may not appeal to everyone, but it does have a dedicated fan base. Some people might find it too bland, so I wouldn’t highly recommend it to everyone. However, enthusiasts are willing to wait in long lines to enjoy this dish. It may not suit the taste of foreigners.

The food is well presented and has no flaws. The food is perfect for a light but full dinner. We had bulgogi and dumplings and it was a nice dinner paired with the open relaxing atmosphere. The owner/staff is friendly and guiding to children and foreigners. They also have this robot that brings you your food which made it fun and unique to see.

Neungrado‘s Pyongyang Naengmyeon is a clear naengmyeon broth with buckwheat noodles and, as a topping, boiled pork, scrambled eggs, pickled radish, and pickled cucumber.
The noodles did not have a strong buckwheat flavor, but the buckwheat flavor was distinct and went well with the broth.

Cold noodles served in a lighter-style with more subtle and delicate broth. The serving sizes are huge so bring a great appetite. I tried the cold noodles and the dumplings that were both great. Ask for the noodle water which they serve as a drink. It's unusual but refreshing.

I only had the cold noodles, so this review is mostly based on how poorly done the noodles was. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was very clean and in a good location. But the noodles was pretty sad. Side note, the kimchi wasn't nearly as good as that of the other restaurants in this area as well

Good cold noodles. The dumplings is okay. Their hot tea/soup taste like instant noodle.

If there's something that's definitely not good, I do not write reviews, rather than leaving bad or malicious reviews.

If my past reviews of almost 10,000 contributions are referred, I try to see and find only the good things as much as possible, because my time is valuable just by looking at the good things.
So, there is also a disadvantage that my review ratings tend to be high.

While trying to be humble and passionate like Chef Kang Min-cheol and Chef Son Jong-won, It's a pity if somebody forget their initial intentions and fall into arrogance or conceit just because they are listed onto Michelin guide. So these days, sometimes Blue Ribbon Survey may be less political and honest.

Still, if you go taking your time, I recommend eating Binnaeng.

Quick service and great food. Good value! I've loved Korean food and I'm glad I got to try this restaurant. I came here during just before the peak dinner time. Didn't have to wait for a seat even though it was sat.

The Bibim Nengmyun and Galbi Tang are so good.

Nice beef tatare! Well marinated and very fresh! Meat cut is free from tendons and hence tender. Also good amount of marbling! Cold noodle is nice too!

In the side street away from main traffic, the place gets the job done when you're looking for some great noodle dish (cold noodles-물냉면 or spicy mix noodles-비빔냉면). They serve beef broth instead of tea or warm water which is also very hearty and tasty.

This is a not foreigner friendly restaurant so avoid it and go to another cold noodles shop you will find plenty of good ones around Seoul ! I’m really disappointed with this restaurant. I’ve been a regular visitor with my mom for over 10 years and it’s sad to see how they are turning really bad and especially since I visited alone and my Korean isn’t well. One of the staff was so rude and insisted I’m Chinese or Japanese and talked to me in their language even though I clearly told her I’m not both till I told her where am I from and she’s not getting it as if I’m an alien. The other staff stood there doing nothing and at least one of them staff came and told me the price and I gave it to her. After I finished my meal she asked me where am I from and told her my Korean isn’t perfect but I do understand a little if you were not rude. But I saw this rude staff how she’s dealing with the other Korean customers and she’s pushy and as if someone forced her to work. I don’t see how this restaurant is still keep the Michelin star and with this attitude to any customer they will lose many regular ones including me. Also the noodles weren’t good and lacked many things and because I wasn’t disturbed by the rude staff I should’ve just left but I wanted to give them one last shot and they proved me wrong.

Had the warm beef noodles with dumplings on the side. Really hearty and delicious meal. The star for me was the chilli sauce…can eat that by itself with rice 😛 Top notch service too

It was good to find a specialized cold noodle in Myeongdong area. I ordered a spicy one and dumplings soup. They are great combination for me to eat cold and hot together. The soup was also really tasty 😋

Food is great but do not expect any hospitality. Make sure to visit with at least 2 people to enjoy their non-noodle menus (dumplings, pork meats...) as well. They don't serve them in half portions but bigger portions only.

You may want to bring a Korean speaker or translator apps to avoid troubles or misunderstanding.

The restaurant has been since year 1953, specializing in cold noodles in North Korea, Hamheung style.
It has been listed on Michelin Guide in year 2017-18 and 2020-2023 and it was also introduced from the famous TV programs like, "Is it your first time to visit Korea?"

Cold or Spicy buckwheat noodles with sliced beef (14K KRW): The noodles are not so much tough and have proper good chewy texture. The broth is savory and it is good to get refill in the Kettle for cold broth and hot broth separately.
Price at 14K may look expensive but the taste is worth the price.

Steamed Large Dumplings (10K): It may not be extra special but tasty with the inside full with meat and vegetables.

Excellent buckwheat noodle place. My mom is from Hamheung, so I know what a good buckwheat noodle is. This is possibly the best in Seoul. Noodle tasted the same as 20 years ago when I first tried. Very consistent and good. It's a hidden gem in Myeong Dong district

Supposedly one of the top restaurants specialized in Pyeong Yang Style Cold Noodles.

They serve you water from cooking buckwheat noodles in stainless steel cup, it was very much enjoyable, almost tea like, nutty and slightly salty. I ended up asking for more.

Cold broth for noodles were nicely seasoned, noodles were cooked well.
Homemade dumplings were excellent.

As expected the place was busy. We were lucky to get a table.

Random find. really cold and chewy noodles. meat very thinly sliced. fish was a bit crunchy and hard, not sure why. but overall really good.

Service was fast, they have 2 shops now that’s really close to one another. Get the raw fish cold noodles (회 냉면) and also the regular soup beef cold noodles (물 냉면)

Ham Heung Nang Myun restaurant since 1953.
one of the oldest restaurant in Seoul and registered on Michelin guide too.
valet parking is available, if not you can use public parking lot near there. Nang Myun taste is good to visit again and need to wait in a que. but not a long time, will go inside soon.

Service was fast. Ordered the spicy fish naemyeon and cold beef noodles. The dumplings are fantastic. They have English menu.

The spicy buckwheat noodle with sliced beef was good.The cold buckwheat noodle with raw fish, the fish have a bone it's quite chewy. They provide a soup pot, it's a beef broth, Korean people drink this soup after had dried noodles. The soup taste good. They said if you added all the sauce in the table ( sugar, vinegar, mustard, Chili paste) you will get some different taste. They do have a self-order machine also.

We went out of our ordinary route and comfort zone to give this place a try based on decent reviews. Average.

Overall, not a bad place to eat nangmyun (Korean cold noodles) if you're in the area.

Before I go any further, however, a quick tid bit on nangmyun: Two types - (1) "Hamheung" nangmyun noodles are VERY chewy, but that's the attraction and (2) "Pyeongyang" nangmyun noodles are much SOFTER.

Pros:
- very quick service (food comes out within few minutes)
- simple, one side dish (radish) that's fresh
- decent tasting hway (raw fish) nangmyun
- very good steamed dumplings
- decent parking space/guide in front

Cons:
- a bit off the beaten track so not easy to grab a cab, but a bus station is about a 10 min walk
- they rush you a bit to order
- average taste
