Good location. Buses aren't on time, the bus drivers in Malta are appalling to the point of dangerous at times. Could do with screens with updated live arrival and departure times. Did I mention how bad the drivers were..
Clean busstop and , small horeca stands, public toilet and easy to find your next connection .
We are from Canada and this transit system was 100% the easiest to navigate we have ever encountered. Price is very reasonable and we purchased a multi day card. We were able to use it on the island of Gozo and the mainland of Malta. You can get every where you need to go and you can relax!

The small size of the Maltese Islands makes getting around easy and hassle-free. The public bus service on Malta and Gozo is a good way to get around as buses serve the major tourist areas, go practically everywhere and are inexpensive and efficient.
Greatly organized, very easy to follow and navigate to other parts of Malta. All routes are displayed with departure time. Of course always first you should check if you can reach some place via boat or ferry since it would save you a lot of time.

Very nicely managed. It is the main bus stop in Valletta known as Valletta bus station. Valletta is already the capital of Malta. Here you can get almost connection to every place in Malta. Considering this, I would say, Malta has really really good connectivity with respect to buses. As trains don’t work here only buses. And Malta has maintained it very well. Great experience with buses in Malta
Valletta Bus Station is a major transportation hub in Malta. It serves as a convenient gateway for travelers like myself who want to explore the island. The signage is clear and informative, making it easy to navigate and find the right bus. Sometimes the buses are delayed, but there are plenty of local tea shops nearby that offer a variety of refreshments and snacks. I especially appreciate the ones that serve Indian food, as it reminds me of home. The bus station is also well-maintained and offers scenic views of the city. It connects to almost all destinations in Malta, making it an ideal base for sightseeing.
Definitely buy a talinja explorer card and don't bother with buying tickets. Buses are not entirely on time, and sometimes mismatching the numbers and their directions, and that is mostly because of people who buy tickets.

You should not make time-dependent plans with Mata transport. You WILL get there, especially if you're boarding from a central or first station, however if you plan to take a bus somewhere in the middle of the road, keep in mind in busy hours they may not have space for you and just pass your stop. So never wait for the last bus.

Also, most stops have no shadow whatsoever, having a hat or umbrella may save your day. Buses are very cold compared to the outside.

Most times buses leave a bit earlier, so be there 5-10 min before the scheduled departure.

I take one star out mostly because of having to ram through all the people to get on and off. Really not well thought and most times people have to shout to get off. But it did do the job and I did explore whole Malta using this transport system, so 4.5/5.

For the bus station itself 4.8/5, as there are many places to buy pastizzi a eat while you wait for your transfer.
