Unreal experience. Words and pictures can’t even come close. It’s the little things that stand out here and are too many to capture in words ❤️

On our 2nd trip here and we brought our 5&7yo with us. Not only were the kids comfortable, they thrived and were catered to at every opportunity.
Christian, at the kids club, was like a brother to them, took them snorkeling on the catamaran, watched them at our house one evening while we had an amazing dinner date, and made their birthday trip beyond special with extremely thoughtful surprises.
Gaby, our butler, was like a 2nd mother, found every opportunity to surprise and delight, showered them with attention and thoughtfulness, created a very special and memorable birthday bubble bath experience in our house that they LOVED, and coordinated an exciting dolphin adventure with very little lead time.
Of course, all the adult things were over the top luxury as well, but it really was the many little things that made this family trip beyond perfect. They seem to take great care of their teammates here and that is reflected quite well in how they care for their guests as family. The coordination and communication, on your behalf, between butler, bellman, driver, server, etc. is unbelievable and unmatched anywhere else we have been. All vacations and family trips have been, and will be, compared to Rosewood Mayakoba experiences. Until next time! - A, M, H, & E
Tamarindo KNOWS luxury. We flew into Puerta Vallarta (don’t recommend it’s a 4 hour car service to the hotel) (not the hotels fault so I’m not docking them) arranging a car service with FS was incredibly easy and the suburban was a white very recent year suburban which is alway nice when they keep them up to date. Our driver drove efficiently and safely. When we got to the hotel we were immediately met with 3-5 staff personnel doing multiple things like taking our luggage, bringing us cold towels to wipe our hands, bringing my dog a water bowl, and the overall manager who gave us a 10-15 min lowdown on the property. It was incredibly special to be treated with such care immediately upon arrival. They even brought us welcome drinks that had a side Mezcal shot for us to make our drink alcoholic. Then after we were brought to our room via a golf cart. When we walked in to our STUNNING panoramic room they had a dog bed, dog bowls, our luggage and snacks for us. I mean… this is 30 min on the property and they already thought of everything. We got some alone time in our room before we went to dinner at Coyul. The food and service here are just incredible we went back every single night for the same dishes. (It’s unfortunate the ocean side dinner restaurant is closed for now, we would of loved to check out that one). The next day we found ourselves just hanging out in the room ordering breakfast and making reservations via the IPad they have in the room. It’s incredible how quickly staff text you back on the IPad, I mean not one request was missed for the entire 3 days we were here! I love thé iPad text because it’s so much easier than calling them everytime you need a reservation or room service. Moving on to the other dining options, room service was incredible and the staff picks up your plates from your room exactly in one hour after they bring it, although you can request more time if tou need it. Nacho taqueria was delicious and the chefs made some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. We played golf and the fairways were very well kept. The beverage cart gentleman was attentive with the drinks and he was very kind the entire time. The massages were great and the spa staff were detail oriented even putting up umbreallas for us to walk around the spa grounds to our rooms so we don’t get too hot. I literally could go on and on about how detail oriented the staff is but honestly it was just every second on this property they made me feel so special and like a QUEEN. I don’t know any other hotel that does it like this. Best hotel experience I’ve ever had and I wish I could personally thank each staff member for such a beautiful vacation.
If you ever have the chance to stay in a beach side villa, make sure Ernesto is your butler. He’s professional, fun, and will be a part of our story for years to come.
Incredible place! Staff was great, especially Ernesto! Will definitely be back.
One of the absolute BEST places I have stayed. I have traveled here for both business and vacation and was never disappointed. The rooms are stellar, the service is amazing, the food at the restaurant is superb. The golf course is a lot of fun to play. It's a bit of a ride from the airport, but when you come off the main road, you instantly know you're in for a really nice stay. The entrance is superbly manicured and maintained.
Andre Yescas and his whole team were amazing. Thank you. The Tacos at Nacho are not to be missed the Chef is amazing person and cook.

WOW, WOW is my first response for this amazing resort. This is coming from a person who has traveled and who is also an Interior Designer. With all that said I am incredibly picky. Rosewood has nailed it on every level of this resort. To the attention to detail on the rooms, to the food, to the out of this world spa, And last but not least the bad to the bone staff that they have working there. You can tell everyone is treated like family by management. So that love is spread over to the guest.

You will not find any resort like this in all of Mexico. If you want to feel like your in a jungle, with peace and tranquility. Where you ride a bike to get around the resort. To knowing theres a lot of people at the resort but you feel your the only one there. All because the way Rosewood Mayakoba built this incredible piece of heaven.

If I had to write any negative thing, its the beach. the water is dark and the sand is like mush. But after talking to management they have been trying for years to find away to fix this. The seaweed has gotten so bad over the years. And there hands are tide by the Mexican government. But please don't let this detour you from coming here. As I have only ever gone back to maybe a handful of resorts in all my travel. As they. Really have to be impressive to get me to go back. As I feel there is so many places to see in the world you want to spend your money to go see them all. But I will be coming back hopefully before the end of this year to bring the rest of my family and maybe some of my personal employees.

Thank you again Rosewood, I actually cried when I had to leave. You guys are like family to me now. And can’t wait to see all of you soon.
A beautiful hotel in all aspects, enlightening the Mexican culture from the architecture and the food!

Incredible architecture
Location is superb
Beautiful views
Excellent food

A two-star experience packed into a five-star price tag. Service ranged from fine to mediocre, as did the food. There was just no consistency. After two repair calls to fix room toilet, the seat fell off. Room phone went only to an answering service rather than to restaurant, front desk concierge, health club, etc. Only worked if we dialed '0' and were then transferred to the relevant office.

Not the hotel's fault AMEX 'concierge' screwed up our room reservation (2nd consecutive trip), but this 60% full resort insisted there were no other rooms 'equal to or better than' what we expected. Price was not a problem. They seemed oblivious to the fact that anyone who can afford their prices already knows what 5-star service looks like. This wasn't it.

I will say the solo guitarist at the steakhouse restaurant was fantastic.

This was an incredible vacation. The service and entire stay from start to finish was so wonderful and felt like a truly relaxing vacation. The room was so comfortable and the pools were pristine. For future, I would recommend some music at the pools and restaurants. More movie nights and cooking classes or a s’mores night at the fire pits for the kids club!

We loved our stay and can’t wait to be back!
I just got home after spending a few days at the newly opened Four Seasons in Tamarindo, and wow. First of all, it’s now my favorite Four Seasons resort and one of my favorite beach resorts of all time. The resort is located in a private nature reserve and totally secluded. We arrived in the middle of the week, so we barely saw other guests around when we were there.

The location is spectacular and the views are absolutely breathtaking.

My partner and I were celebrating our 15 year anniversary, and booked the one bedroom cliff side pool suite with an ocean view and got upgraded to the suite with panoramic views. The views were insane, even better in person than in the photos. We had everything in our suite: an outdoor shower, hammock, pool, down to a hats at a beach tote.

The hotel has all the amenities you’ll ever need: spa with jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna. Gym with high end equipment including a pilates studio.

There are three restaurants on site: Coyul, Sal, Nacho. We had breakfast at Coyul every day, but they serve dinner as well. We had dinner at Sal, the first night, which satisfied our sushi cravings. And had an incredible late lunch / early dinner at Nacho one evening. The tacos at Nacho, the taqueria, were incredible. Even after spending a few days in Mexico City before Tamarindo, these tacos were still some of the best I’ve ever had. My favorite were the soft shell crab tacos, but you really can’t go wrong with anything here. Every single meal was excellent. For breakfast, my favorite item was the huevos rancheros, which I ordered twice. At Sal, I particularly loved the dumplings and the maki.

If I had a couple more days here, I would have scheduled some water sports and done a boat tour. The beach by the hotel is beautiful, but the waves are too rough for swimming. I recommend getting a ride to Tamarindo beach, with much calmer waves, if you want to go swimming in the ocean.

Bonus: there’s a doctor on site if you end up getting sick for whatever reason.

There were a few things they could improve upon: there’s a lot of back and forth if you try to use the app to schedule activities like spa appointments, so it’s not exactly the most efficient way to get things done. They quoted us $160 USD each way for the private car service to/from the airport, but it comes out to $220 with fees, taxes, service charges, etc. so add 37.5% on top of what you’ve been quoted. Not a huge deal but I was surprised. I recommend checking your invoice carefully when you check out. I found some mistakes on my invoice checking out of this FS and the FS in Mexico City. One last thing that was so annoying was that they kept asking for our last name and room number even if we were just hanging out by the pool and we didn’t order any drinks/food. I feel like people were always asking us to verify our name and room number. At many of the high end luxury resorts like Aman (Amangiri, Amankila) or Rosewood (Mayakoba), I think they know who you are, so we’re not constantly verifying our identity around the resort. I realize this is nit picky but it just seemed unnecessary if I’m just laying out by the pool after breakfast.

Overall, Four Seasons Tamarindo is literally heaven on earth, and I cannot wait to return.
Service was fantastic... and the views and amenities were to die for! Highly recommend putting this resort on your list next time you visit Punta Mita!

A true five star resort with elegant rooms a rustic jungle setting and very good service and amenities. The resort sits on a lagoon that stretches to the ocean and the rooms are situated on the lagoon, over the water and at the beach. The beach is gorgeous and there’s plenty of room. There’s a main restaurant, a Japanese seafood restaurant and a beach club restaurant. The property has a family pool by the beach and adult pool near the lobby. Each suite has a dipping pool of some sort and outdoor showers. It’s an incredibly relaxing property with a warm and friendly staff that is well trained and looking to be helpful. A really too notch resort property.
Wow! If you want a top knotch experience and are willing to spend extra, then this is the place for you! Personal butler service, exquisite food, drinks, atmosphere. All of the restaurants are darn near 4 or 5 stars. They do not disappoint 👏 yes it costs more than those all-inclusive resorts in Cancun, but totally worth it if you're looking for a romantic spot for the special one in your life. I had the time of my life!@
Everything about the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita was excellent and nothing like I have ever experienced. Not only was the environment like no other, but the care and service were always amazing, and everyone was willing to help instantly.
The food and drinks were great. And the most impressive thing I experienced there was a private cooking lesson with Chef Hasan. His professionalism, food presentation, and knowledge sharing of his techniques was the event that put an already perfect vacation into something 100% unique and unforgettable.

We had an absolutely memorable stay. Everyone at the property was so nice and pleasant. We loved riding the bikes across the property! We also loved picking fresh herbs for tea from the herb garden. We strongly recommend a stay at Rosewood Mayakoba to anyone who truly desires to disconnected from the outside world and turn inward into a world of relaxation and joy.
Loved the food. We came here for sunset and it was AMAZING!
Nice band playing live and great staff!
Absolutely breathtaking place. My family stayed at the FS Tamirindo over Easter week and we can’t wait to come back! This place is brand new and clean! The four seasons really chose a perfect location for this one! The whole property is stunning, rooms have amazing views (highly recommend cliff side view rooms), the staff were all so kind and wonderful, so much activities to do on property. We did not leave the resort. We went fishing (highly recommend) and did water sports at their water sport beach. The food was delicious and everyday we felt so so special staying here! We felt very safe from the moment we landed in Manzanillo , throughout the drive to the hotel and the entire time we were there. Of course the resort is new and the staff is still learning and can improve on things, but we had zero complaints! You will learn Spanish. This place is pure magic! Make sure to visit and make amazing memories!

Wonderful experience from the moment we were picked up at the airport all the way to the end at our departure, when we were personally walked through the airport by Rosewood staff. The accommodations, food, and staff were all excellent. We loved the intimate dinner at the La Ceiba Garden - truly memorable! One area they went above and beyond was the attention to detail and activities for our children. The egg-hunt on Easter Sunday, and the craft, sushi and pizza making were all phenomenal. This was beyond our expectations, and we look forward to our next stay at a Rosewood property. Thanks!
Didn't stay but played the course. Spactular views, wide open fairways, well kept and very friendly service. I bet the rooms are first rate
We had a group of 18 that came for a spa day. We stayed at a nearby home, not at the hotel. Easy access by golf cart or car. Upon entering the welcome area of the spa, we received the royal treatment. Guys wee escorted to their side, and the ladies to their side. Lockers were easy to use. Clean showers with eucalyptus water! The area to wait for the massage therapist was relaxing with comfortable couches in shade, beautifully landscaped, soothing music and refreshing tea. The massage was amazing with perfect pressure, comfortable room and massage table, and different types of massage oils. Afterward, hang out at the gender-private patio (shared one for men, shared one for women). Hot jacuzzi, cool plunge pool, dry sauna, and humid sauna. Head down to the private beach that has service after!
Great architecture. Restaurant not yet ready for prime time. Many misses, uninspired execution and poor communication. However, the cured seared hamachi at Sal is delicious. All cocktails need work. Service needs training, tightening up and better teamwork. Tortillas are unacceptably awful.
Beautiful hotel. Only critique I have are the mattress in the rooms. They are very hard (for me and my girlfriend), but others might like it like that.

The breakfast was very good.
Can definitely recomend this hotel.

Super friendly and welcoming. Excellent atmosphere and menu. Caesar Salad made tableside with all fresh ingredients, including raw egg and anchovies. We come here regularly and have never been disappointed.
