Very popular place as it was really busy when I visited in the morning. Good service. Roti canai with kuah banjir spicy 🔥.. with teh tarik...

Located at the shop houses around Bukit Indah Recreational Park, with the Da Si Xi restaurant located behind them and the larger landmark will be Bukit Indah Aeon Mall.

This is a spacious halal restaurant that serves dim sum and comfort food with a team of efficient floor staff, all you need to do is to locate an empty table to sit and order by scanning a QR code on the table. Even though it's a halal restaurant, their food and dim sum is actually not bad. The only items I would avoid on the menu would be soup based items. The noodle soup in the photos attached is horrible and I would say it's actually quite bland.

This place could be an option for breakfast if not, there's another choice that's right behind them.
Got there around 9.30am. Very fast service and the food are good. The only thing i dont like is that they didnt check our order properly. We ordered two roti canai biasa and got roti canai telur. It is impossible to know what kind since it is drenched in kuah.
It's not the first time I've come but it's one of the restaurants I'll come to again and again.... all the food is delicious... this time because we're dating, we only order 3 dishes... another menu that really needs to be tasted is curry laksa, yee mee with thick sauce, chicken rice balls, Portuguese egg tart, all the toasted bread... for me in this area, this is the place to eat I like to visit the most.

Staff:
They are friendly and patient, since it took a lot of time for us to choose what to eat.

Ambience:
100% clean we have seen how they thoroughly clean the kitchen, dining area and the staff wearing hairnet and mask👌.
The place is also quiet enough to enjoy the meal and a good conversation.

Location:
It was just near to our hotel👌.

100% Recommended
Roti canai and the teh tarik was okay. The roti canai, chicken curry it came with was not warm. The roti bakar was good. All three item was at different stall with different guys taking orders. The place was small, so it was hectic. Overall place and food, its average.
Big breakfast Roti are so delicious, the owner suggested us to order toast and fried chicken as well as coffee, they are all good
If you're prepared to wait 30 minutes just to place your order and an additional 40 minutes for a plain roti canai, while being encouraged to choose their expensive menu items and experiencing subpar nasi lemak, then this establishment may meet your expectations. Unfortunately, the overall experience felt more like a scam than a genuine dining experience. I would not return. It would be beneficial if Google implemented a zero-star rating option for such overhyped restaurants, which seem to be driven by misleading food reviews.
Food was flavourful. Service was fast. Clean environment.
Located walking distance from AEON @ Bukit Indah. This cafe outlet serves local food from nasi lemak, Tim sum, chicken rice, dessert and chendol. Their fried carot cake is a must try. Will recommend many to try.
Tried nasi lemak chicken but it was nothing special, rice was tasteless and one chicken we got was uncooked inside.

Dont order nasi lemak chicken, just stick to roti canai and teh tarik / teh ais. The dhal is super flavourful, sambal is the less spicy type

Fortunately, I tried this dish and survived. I was concerned about the cleanliness of the food, as I noticed feces sticking to the egg they used for cooking. We only came because it was recommended as tasty, but for me, it wasn't, and the price was high as well.
Last time was the cashier attitude I make it 1 star but these days I came it didnt happen again also maybe base on luck. Anyway, the food ngam us especially the creamy pumpkin mushroom rice it was delicious to me. The nasi lemak they use new plate Im surprise also they place the food in good look. Also it took me almost half an hour to wait for my creamy pumpkin mshm wrc but its ok the waiter very humor so its ok.

To be truthfully honest, I'm just curious why this place is so "highly rated" among foodie influencers. The roti canai is just, normal at best. Dump some watery chicken curry and skinny chicken drumstick on top and ta-daaa charge you arm and leg to sit at some alley like place. Even other mamak places can do better. The dhall has some burnt taste too (probably someone didn't watch the fire).

The toast bread with soft boil eggs on top also is a cut throat price, i had some nearby rm2 cheaper and tastier.

The best was probably the nasi lemak, but even that came with very skinny overfried chicken. Don't think the chicken in Penang diet so much right?

Come once if you're curious.
Breakfast time at Bukit Indah Tea Garden! Order the Nasi Lemak and their chicken is very crispy with the combination of their pickle and sambal, I would say it a must try item.
Also tried their carrot cake. Nice n great!

For the fried chicken, I was give chicken part which has more bone than meat, hope my next visit if given chicken part should give more abit.

I recently dined at Irama Dining and had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent, combining traditional Malay flavors with a modern twist, creating a unique and delightful fusion cuisine. The ambiance was elegant and sophisticated, perfect for a fine dining experience. The service was exceptional, with the staff being attentive and friendly. I highly recommend Irama Dining to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

Bright, Clean, Spacious, easy to park, food are nice, price is reasonable. But little interaction with staff. Try the curry Laksa and curry noodle.

Plenty of food options. Cosy corner to rest. Love the ‘green’ wall and natural ventilation. Dry Mee siam is always good. But the solid sambal chili (in mee siam and Nasi lemak) deserves special mention. They have plenty of dessert options too. Coffee and tea is decent. Dim sum so so. Will visit again.

Another hidden gem in Mount Austin. We skipped to a bad Korean restaurant for lunch next door instead of here due to long queues. However, we finally managed to get some seats for desserts and drinks during the high tea timing. Everything tasted GREAT and affordable! The ambience is relaxing and we could have stayed there for hours! (although there is a bit of rubbish smell due to rubbish chute nearby) Will definitely come back again for lunch/desserts!! Their signature milk teas/drinks are must-try!!
Nothing here resembles service. We asked them to repeat our order and they got it wrong 3x. Point at a picture on the menu, still not enough. We decided to leave when the waiter continuously showed no interest in taking the order.. apauling

Honestly, it was a Dream to come here. I've been wanting to come to this place for a while. The food is absolutely delicious. The fish was so good! The salads and spices were heavenly! Must come, ya!
Above George Town in the Chinese Chamber of Commerce lives a fine dine Malay style restaurant.

Classy decor and presentation, with decent taste (except the dessert) and pizazz. A nice blend of fresh ingredients and styles, chock full of lemongrass and local herbs and spices.

Loved the baked 🐟 and pandan 🐔, and the kerabu was mighty fine. The creamy grainy dessert was a little sour and textured like curdled milk.

Service was fair and space was a little small, and parking is tough any day of the week.
Service so slow, food is okay but shisha service so slow.. requesting for charcoal change take almost 20minutes,no customer but the waiter not doing his job properly.. person that serve me was wearing the black cap,not gonna post his picture due to respectively.. hopefully the owner take responsibility for this place, reviews so bad.. wishing the owner take a good care of this place..will come again for sure.. thank you,
It was important to me that service was prompt and came with a smile.
I had the Assam Pedas and it went well with my tastebuds.

Nice food and affordable pricing. Soya bean with gula melaka is interesting
Nice coffee…always done perfectly to my liking! Rojak is superb. Paper baled chicken so succulent. Lou Shu Fan a myriad of wonderful sesation to the taste buds.
Sad but true. I hope I can help them build their income and economy, unfortunately the food is tasteless. I had my sotong goreng tepung, 40% remaining in the plate is the tepung. I ordered kerang bakar, and the kerang is very tiny yet too pricey. You can come but be careful with what you order.

Great location! Nice ambience and super tasty foods! I have food coma here since everything is perfect! Luckily they also have a branch in KL. Definitely will be my favourite place to have dinner!
One of the best kedai toye that I ever been. One of the best in Mount Austin. Highly recommended, kind staff, tak bising bising macam kedai tomyam lain. Harga pun okay. Lurve!
I see many of the reviewers give 1-2 stars for the slow service. But for me, the service is great and fast. The view is beautiful. Love the sunset. My wife very likes the tom yam chicken.

Spacious parking. Many activities for kids and family at nights.

We were lucky to get a seat for two very last minute. This is a restaurant you will missed if you are not looking as it is at 2nd floor. We just happened to be in the neighbourhood and decided to rely on Google Map to find us good food. What a pleasant surprise to find this classic Malays cuisine, the palette is well balanced, plating is beautiful, service is top notched and price reasonable for such a setting. We enjoyed it so much and definitely will come back for more !

Nice place, a little bit secluded so its easy to find parking spots. food tastes great, just that the dish that i ordered (butter chicken spaghetti) took really long.
Pls read this before going here 😹 .this is my first time in JB .btw, kind of expensive. Even Mac&cheese RM22+ ,for what . I don't mind spending so much money on good food but this one is really 👎👎👎 .i order tomyam seafood .very salty . The chicken is hard ,the clam & shrimp is uncooked. The lala is hanyir . The tomyum prices didn't show in menu and I have to pay RM40++ for lemon ice tea +2rice +tomyam seafood .the tomyam is not big portion to charge RM 19++ Very not worth it . the view & atmosphere is perfect .better buying outside food & Only order drink here while watching the view. think twice before eat here ,hehe Tq
My favourite place to eat in Taman Universiti. Highly recommended
Ambience very nice for breakfast or brunch with family. I like here more than BBU branch. Their mi goreng special and mi siam very good, large portion. Can whatsapp the owner to order online also. It’ll be sent by grabexpress. Food preparation also very quick. Will always be my go to restaurant!

I chose take out due to long queue.
Been at penang 4 days and everyday I passes by, there is a long queue at the store. I thought it must be good.

Didn't went to the store so didn't know what's the atmosphere like but 100% your patience is needed to get to enjoy their tasty food.

Recommended, lamb shank, murtabak and their biryani rice. Really big portion of rice for me just for RM6. Lamb taste good, would go for another try again.
Food was good and price is affordable. You line up, take food and pay at another lot. Then u dine-in at another lot. A bit inconvenient but very efficient and fast. Service when order drinks a bit slow to arrive but understandable. Recommended 👍🏻
Be careful when u ordered food here. They will simply order large for u even when u come with a small group (2/3 people). They didn't even ask if u want it small or large. When i noticed that ans told her that i wanted it small. She made a face and was rude. The food tasted just ok.
The food was excellent!! Gotta try the lambshank, the fried squid with nasi beriani! This place or rather the business itself represents a Penang longggg history.

The letdown was the long wait standing in queue, just my pet peeve to wait in line for food but over at this restaurant it's a common thing to do. Be prepared for a much longer line and wait during peak holiday season.

You queue for food, get to where they display all the lauk, make your choices and walk out... to like 3 or 4 doors down the block to where you eat either on the ground floor premise or walk upstairs, hands full with plates and stuff.. if you're not the careful type or have difficulty walking up narrow stairway, ask for help from the servers to carry your plate(s) up. This was the real bummer.

Read so much about this place. Have to try it.

Surprisingly short queue at about 7pm considering the popularity. Quite systematic. Pick choice of food, prices on the board, items taken entered into the computer, then bring over to the counter to pay. Dinning tables a few doors away where drinks are selected and paid.

At RM50.50 for nasi bryani, mutton curry and 2 pieces of sotong, it is rather pricey. The spices, flavour and portion of the food is undeniably good though. Not a regular of nasi kandar. No sure how it is compared to other places though.

Service is efficient.

one of the best steak! RM97 for three course so worth it. however i dont fancy the berry milkshake. it just doesnt blend well.
I lined up for the famous Hameediyah, and I was surprised not only by the number of dishes available, but by the high price when it came time to pay. Over 20 ringgit? Wow, an unexpected shock from the bill. Especially because the meats were so dry and tough to chew. The highlight was actually the cucumber and pineapple salad served on the side.
Once was enough for me, but I encourage others to keep lining up, because for every person in line here, there's one less person standing in front of me at my favorite shop just down the street :)
I didn't realise I was in for a treat.

I just wanted to go get some simple breakfast with my family; I didn't realise I was in for a treat. The ambiance was good, the staff were great, the food was amazing! We ordered some dim sum, tea, Kaya toast. I particularly loved the flowy salted egg custard bao. Would recommend.

This is probably my best meal in Penang. After my previous lacklustre nasi kandar, I am glad I came to Hameediyah at 11am to be customer #3. The RM 7 fried fish (cross-section think slice) is the best I ever had, lightly seasoned fresh ikan kurau. The RM15 mysore mutton is a little spicy (I have pretty high spice tolerance) has good cuts of mutton & is also one of the best I had.
New owner. Food is good. The environment is nice.
The kopichino is a MUST TRY!

All the toasts and foods are good too.

This is an institution. With 5k+ good reviews I need say more but suffice to share a few mouth-watering photos. They are immensely proud & passionate of their food. Pure heritage & quintessential peranakan.
Good food and service. The kambing fried rice was delicious and their Van Helsing platter was also good. The serving was huge and the meats were well-cooked.
As a customer at Chamek Kopitiam located at 21, Jalan Kebudayaan 1A, 81300 Johor, Malaysia, I would like to share my experience and write a review.

Chamek Kopitiam offers a charming and cozy atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a meal with friends or family. The rustic decor and comfortable seating arrangements create a pleasant ambiance.

One of the standout dishes at Chamek Kopitiam is the Horfan Kuetiau. This delectable dish features kuetiau noodles cooked with a flavorful mix of diluted cornflour and stirred egg. The addition of succulent squids, prawns, and fresh green leafy vegetables adds a delightful combination of flavors and textures. It's a satisfying and hearty dish that will surely leave you wanting more.

In addition to the Horfan Kuetiau, Chamek Kopitiam offers a variety of other local dishes that are equally delicious. The menu features classic breakfast options as well as traditional Malaysian delights, catering to different preferences.

The service at Chamek Kopitiam deserves praise. The staff members are attentive, friendly, and efficient. They provide helpful recommendations and ensure that every customer feels welcomed and well taken care of.

When it comes to pricing, Chamek Kopitiam offers good value for the quality and portion sizes of their dishes. The prices are reasonable, making it a wallet-friendly option for a satisfying meal.

In conclusion, my experience at Chamek Kopitiam was delightful. The Horfan Kuetiau stood out as a flavorful and satisfying dish, showcasing the culinary expertise of the establishment. Combined with the charming ambiance and attentive service, Chamek Kopitiam is a recommended dining spot for those seeking a taste of authentic Malaysian cuisine in a cozy setting.
At another outlet of this cafe chain, so I had the Dry mee siam & shared some dim sum! The mee siam was simple but flavorful, & the spiciness kinda creeps up on u towards the end. Overall, a great choice for breakfast coz it opens quite early too!

I've been a frequent customer of this restaurant since I lived in Ampang, and I was disappointed to have to miss their food when I moved to Johor. However, I was thrilled to discover that they now have a branch in Johor and decided to book for my Iftar.

Overall, the food was still very good, except for the Nachos. In my previous visits to the Ampang branch, the Nachos looked and tasted amazing. However, at this branch, they were dry and the gravy lacked its usual deliciousness. I believe there's room for improvement in this area.

Despite this, I still enjoyed the other food items, which were tasty and satisfying. I would recommend this restaurant to others looking for a delicious meal.

The food and beverages was good and average to me. Friend of mine introduced this place to me and turns out to be SO-SO taste.

But it worth the money you spend here. For me the portion is large.

Thanks to the busker who entertaining us with the songs. They all so talented guy.

I come at 8:30 pm. Not so crowded at that time. The service was good.

I enjoy every bite here 💕
The management changed. It’s now Mr Plate Cafe. Butter chicken is more like brown black pepper chicken. Ordered some kaya toast but the kaya doesn’t taste edible. Ordered geprek chicken too but the sambal is just spicy, no sweet or savory taste.
Believe the hype. Crazy queue on a Sunday lunch time. Awesome selection of food with excellent flavour. Would definitely return. They need to improve on their toilets though. Quite pricey if you order seafood. Expect to pay about 60RM per person

Good food. Looks like the famous Mamak restaurant in Tenang area.
Went there with family. The foods are good but waiting time is more than 1 hour. Hope they improve this one. Pls manage how to prioritize orders between dine in customers and grab/foodpanda
The Food here always delicious..4th time coming here and eating..nothing to complain.. staffs are okay but not friendly..the place quite clean too
if it’s your first time here and not sure what to order, order their Nasi Goreng Seafood with telur mata cair. Simply heaven on earth.

nasi sendiri without lauk pun dah sedap. my go-to order.

5 star For mamak restaurant around this place...tmn tenang
Ordered sweet & sour chicken large & got some kind of spicy dish with pieces of chicken which I can count on my fingers. Their large portion is barely sufficient for 2 pax & it cost RM21.00 ! Given it's a place where travellers like myself will frequent...it's a bad impression for all Malaysians & a huge disappointment ! Worst service & food quality I've experienced. Even request for non spicy food was not entertained. My family consisting of 5 children & 2 adults ended up still hungry with that amount & quality of food which cost RM106.00 for 3 dishes & 2 sets satay!!
