Ordering here during lunch time is like solving a puzzle. You are not allowed to order more than 4 different types of dishes in any sort of rush hour for example. We as a group of 8 people had to order same 4 type of dishes. Some of us wanted to have something different but no it was rejected because it violated the "ordering policy". Plus, they have impatient and unprofessional service staff who makes you feel uncomfortable when you need support to help understand their ordering policy.

We had the pleasure of spending a delightful afternoon indulging in delectable food and wine tastings. This special event spanned from Thursday to Sunday, attracting a bustling crowd.
Despite the cold temperatures, we were fortunate to have clear blue skies and no rain. The weather seemed to be in our favor, providing a beautiful backdrop for the event.
Despite the busy atmosphere, the experience remained very enjoyable. The large property was decorated with numerous stalls, each offering unique food products, delicious breads, clothing, bags, and, of course, a wide selection of wines. It was a truly pleasant afternoon, filled with culinary delights and a vibrant atmosphere.
As we left the event, a delightful surprise awaited all the women. Each of us received a small present, which added an extra touch to the experience. It was a thoughtful gesture.

Wunderschöne Natur, tolle Einkehrmöglichkeiten! In den Cafés gibt's auch Toiletten. Es gibt Wege für Radfahrer*innen und Wanderwege, beides ist gut ausgeschildert.

Went there last year for Rammstein. Was awesome and would love to go again. The only downside of the venue is that it doesnt matter if you wait hours in the heat or arrive just in time before the show gets started. We were on the rather early side and had to wait hours in the heat rather packed and with no openly water fountains or other solutions. You had to pay 2-3 euro's for water to survive

I love that it provides plenty of options for visitors to take short and long routes. Direction is also easy to follow.

Review about beers in souvenir store. Has a souvenir store which sells Kasteel Duivenvoorde beers in a nice 3-pack: blond, tripel, pale ale. Beers are brewed locally, in brewery Cavé Voorschoten (they have their own website). The castle website mentions it but not which beers and if you can buy them to bring home. Very cool and thoughtful as a present for a wedding anniversary, since Kasteel Duivenvoorde is a wedding venue too and used often for wedding shoots. The beer pack shows a large picture of the castle on the back.
It is a nice place to hike with your friends. We hiked for 10km and places tends to vary from sand dunes to dense forest. We enjoyed the hiking
If u want run away from city sounds, busyness, routine this is the place where u can enjoy silence, nature and long walks.

Leuk wandelen!
A cute castle in a silent place. Good for a walk. Parking, walking routs.
First of all you need to update your schedule. Wednesday appears open but it is not.
The location is great. Recommend a evening weekday, because during lunch or in the weekends the road can be quite busy.
The food could use a bit more touch, especially the stake. Deserts are also a bit sad as is the wine. Could use a better assortment.
The service however was fast and very friendly. And the location indeed is great.

You can spend an afternoon, or even a full day here. I have visited this place in all four seasons, and it is always beautiful. You can choose different routes and walk 5, 10, or 15 kilometres. It is also a great place for biking, with plenty of climbing opportunities, which is unusual for the Netherlands. This is one of the places in the Netherlands that is unique in its landscape. Sometimes, it can be quite crowded, but not to the point where you will be annoyed. There is a parking spot at the beginning of your route, as well as a small museum (mainly for kids) and a restaurant where you can eat. There are several restaurants in the surrounding area. Additionally, there are several playgrounds for kids of all ages.

An absolutely picturesque location that justifies a visit in and of itself. Fortunately, the food is also excellent. However, expect to book a table beforehand and slower than usual service, as the place is absolutely filled with guests. Good vibes.

Wir sind mit den Fahrrädern im Nationalpark Veluwezoom gewesen und hatten uns eine Strecke von ca. 27 km vorgenommen.
Wir hatten keine Vorstellung von dem Nationalpark, vor allem nicht von den steilen Anstiegen und Abfahrten, die hier vorhanden sind. Am Ende waren wir froh nur die 27 km Strecke gewählt zu haben, weil es bei ca. 30 Grad im Schatten recht anstrengend war.
Wunderschön ist, dass man während der Tour an frei herumlaufenden Pferden und Hochlandrindern vorbeikommt. Die Natur, die Pflanzen und Tiere sind sehr schön und malerisch.
Bei einer Rast an einem Restaurant haben uns die happigen Preise etwas irritiert, aber schön war der Ausflug allemal.

One of the oldest National Parks in the NL, it was built in 1930. Located at the eastern part and near the city Arhem, the park covers an area of roughly ha 5400 and is renowned for its diverse landscapes like sand dunes, forests, rolling hills and heathlands. It also offers recreational activities like hiking, horse riding, and cycling.
Mooi bosrijk gebied. De bioloog zou hier gek op zijn. Veel natura rivieren plassen dicht bosrijk. Dassen ,reeen,veel flinders. Moet je natuurlijk wel beetje geluk hebben om ze te zien. Maar is altijd leuk om te kijken naar sporen omdat het een behoorlijk nat gebied is. Heb me er goed vermaakt en goede kans dat ik er weer kom.
Nothing special and not worth a visit
Such a splendid estate that carries centuries old history of several families. A castel of love that passes on through the generation. The forest walks and the coffee are also very nice.

Great experience. It is really nice to see the inside of such a beautiful castle. There are a good part of the rooms that are not allowed to visit and I wish they let us go there as well.

Excellent park for walking with family. Especially beautiful bridges through river.....

This castle is a 20-25 minute drive from Den Haag. The estate is located in Voorschoten. During the winter months, the castle museum is not open. However, Musica Antica holds baroque music concerts on the premises and one has access to two of the rooms in the castle.
The rooms are ornate with intricate patterned ceilings and large-scale paintings hanging on the wall. The floor-to-ceiling windows give a stunning view of the estate grounds and lake.
The estate itself also has a restaurant, a small farm area and a pasture. There are many walking paths, both paved and gravel, for longer hikes or walks. One can push a stroller, wheelchair or walker on the paved paths.
The parking lot is paid at times when the museum is open. In the winter months parking is free. The paths are open year-round for walking and exercise.
This is child-friendly and family-friendly. It is a beautiful environment to be enjoyed at any age.

Schloss kann man nur von vorne besichtigen, der Rest ist verschlossen. Es gibt einen Rundweg durch den angrenzenden Wald, zum Friedhof und an einem Reh Gehege vorbei. Am Wochenende stark besucht, sodass es schwierig ist einen Parkplatz zu finden.
Jammer dat het kasteel niet te bezoeken is. Het landgoed zelf is prachtig met een heel mooi loofbos en diverse wandelpaden. Gratis parkeren. Je ziet er heel veel honden bezitters. Mooi om de damherten te zien. Deze waren super tam.
Prachtig nu helemaal in die mooie herfst kleuren. Altijd fijn om even rond te lopen. In het bos tegen over het kasteel mag de hond ook nog los lopen!
We hebben gisteren de herinneringsbank van onze vriend Hans Bouwers bezocht. Goede keus van Hans, wat een mooie omgeving, prachtig.

Eine sehr gut Organisation wie mit Menschenmassen umgegangen wird.
Über 60.000 Personen dort gewesen und hab mich die ganze Zeit sicher gefühlt.
Toiletten, getränke, essen waren mehr als genug dort und über das ganze Gelände verteilt. Auch zum goffertpark hin und zurück Perfekt organisiert.

I visited the Goffertpark to attend to the concert of Rammstein . A concert which was due to Covid more than 2 years postponed.
Stood in the fuerzone quite close to rhe stage. Pity that the fuerzone was completely covered with rusty steel plates which made it rather impossible to sit down otherwise your clothes would be ruined. Concert was marvelous what a performance they gave.

Very beautiful castle in South Holland! Interiors are very beautiful and good green space around for a good walk. Currently this is a museum and open for visitors! We used our museum pass to visit. We loved the garden, green spaces around!

Auf dem Gelände musste man Tokens kaufen zum bezahlen. 10 Stück für 17,50 € . Wasser, Cola, Fanta etc. Kostete 1 Token, also 1,75 € , das ist mehr als fair. Pommes kosteten 1,5 Token, also 2,50 Euro. Wir standen direkt vorne in der Feuerzone, ein absolutes Erlebnis. Die Toiletten waren sauber und man musste nicht lange warten. Um das gesamte Gelände waren die Stände etc. Verteilt und wir mussten nie lange warten. Es wurde nicht gedränglet und war sehr angenehm. Ein super Konzert!

It's a great venue to have a concert. But it's nasty to get in and out by car. So park on the designated parking spots and take the shuttle bus. The place is great! What's not to love... it's outside and your favourite band is playing amongst the trees. Enjoy!
The show I went to, was amazing. I went to Red hot chilli peppers show. There is a shuttle from Nijmegen Centraal to the park. Entrance was quick and efficient. The token system deserves its own article basically its a way to mask the insane prices and make transactions more efficient. There is a shuttle from the park back to Nijmegen.

Achterhoek / Gelderland
Bij Doetinchem ligt Landgoed Slangenburg met het bijbehorende kasteel Slangenburg. Dit landgoed heeft een lanenstelsel uit de 17e eeuw in de vorm van een trapezium; uniek voor Nederland en Europa vanwege zijn schaal en authenticiteit. De lanen zijn daarom aangemerkt als monument. De oprijlaan is 1,5 kilometer lang. Met de trapezium wandeling loop je een deel van de route onder de bijzondere monumentale lanen. Het landgoed is bosrijk. Door de oude bomen in de bossen voelen dieren als de boommarters, spechten, vleermuizen en de bosuil zich hier thuis. Deze hebben gemeen dat ze leven in boomholtes van oude bomen. Daarnaast leven er dassen en reeën op het landgoed. Hebben deze zich niet laten zien? Dan zijn er altijd nog de damherten in de hertenweide om te bewonderen.
De wandeling is 11,2 kilometer lang maar er is ook een mogelijkheid de wandeling te verkorten, de verkorte route is 7,7 Kilometer. De lange en verkorte wandelingen lopen gedeeltelijk door het hondenlosloopgebied.

Leuk wandel- en fietsgebied, maar zeker geen park te noemen. Daarvoor zijn veel wandelpaden te slecht onderhouden (overwoekerd en ondergrond). Helaas rijdt er ook teveel sluipverkeer over de fietspaden.
I was walking around this castle during the night time with my local friend. If you like historical places and “time machine” feeling so I highly recommend you to visit this place when nobody is around
It is a pretty place to have a walk. The nearby forest is relaxing.

Beautiful castle for a short visit. When we were there with 2 young kids, the castle was closed. we took a nice stroll around the park. Good to spend an hour or two here.
Mooie omgeving rond Winseler- en Overste Hof. Goed om te wandelen en, tot slot, bij SnowWorld, even de trappen op te lopen. Prachtig!
It is a pity we were not able to visit the castle but we understand that when people stay here for rest and quiet the tourists would only distract and disturb them.
We had a nice coffee and tea, plus a nice piece of Dutch apple pie at the coach house and visited the local products shop

It looks nice and interesting, but when i visited it, it was close. So the reason to give it that low mark is because it is part of history but unavialable
Excellent view over the hills here in the south of Limburg, not overly crowded and they have multiple spots available outside. Certainly worth a small stop.

It was nice walking around the place. The garden is not spectacular, it's just a garden. It's nice walking around the property. However you cannot visit the castle because it is privately owned.

This place is just like many other historical places a sort of destroyed by the way we are today. While it was officially build as a status building for highly important people it now takes place as a hotel for anyone.
Thanks to the government it belongs to list with monumental buildings so that no one may customize the outside of the building. Also the gardens around are owned by the government and opened to the public.
It still is a beautiful place to go someday to visit the gardens and take a look inside the castle. Notice that it can be busy at sunny days and that parking is free.

Lekker wandelen hier. Alleen jammer dat er vaak hangjongeren zijn zodra het weer een beetje goed is.
The food was good and also the staffs are super friendly. The ambiance is amazing and you will enjoy the delicious food with an amazing view.
