Haven't been there for 5 years, but it's still one of the best places for brunch in Amsterdam. I guess we got a walk-in table only because there were some roadworks in front of it on that day. Usually, I would see a line of people standing outside. Also, on that they had some technical issues, so it was cash only. Lucky I had some cash on me, as you rarely ever need it in Amsterdam anymore.
The french toast and the pancakes were just perfect, and the service is as friendly as always.

Very tasty lunch! Try the healthy shakshuka with mushrooms and the fried eggs with potatoes and cheese! They were both very nice! The atmosphere of the place was ok but not sth special. The lunch dishes are quite expensive though. The service was friendly but not very attentive. We had to wait for 20 min to order.
I had a really good brunch there with my friends. Food was good, but the only thing is, they took wrong order few times. And as one of my friend is pregnant I ask several times to have the eggs well done, but still they served runny eggs to her 🥲 we had to send back again to have it baked properly.
I’ve been to factory girl sooo many times now. It’s not a brunch place where the vegans are stuck with avocado toast. There’s an insane amount of options.
The food is always amazing in regards to quality and consistency, the staff are a breath of fresh air and so friendly. The coffee is so good and the coco angela is 💯

Really great breakfast spot. Good size portions. The pancake and eggs looked the largest. But I ordered the Amsterdam eggs Benedict and the French toast. All very good
Lovely quaint hipsterish cafe vibes, lovely authentic feel to it. Breakfast was delicious - only slight point was with the choice of two eggs, both have to be same type - scrambled, fried or poached.

A beautiful café away from the hustle and bustle. Here we enjoyed a vegan breakfast and one with egg and salmon, that was prepared with love and creativity. This is how vegan food is fun. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not justified. Even though high quality ingredients are used, it was too expensive.
TLDR: Good food experience that is detracted by rude staff, meh atmosphere, and half the menu missing.

I mean, they didn't dump food on me, but while I tried to get out of the server's way so she could place plates, I dropped some baked good crumbs on my lap and she rolled her eyes before dumping the plate and disappearing for 15 minutes. Look, I know it is the Netherlands. I know it is Amsterdam. I don't expect "nice" or "kind" anywhere in Amsterdam. But for breakfast at the price of some of Amsterdam's higher end vegan dinner restaurants, I do expect just a little respect and present staff that I do not have to stand up to ask for more drinks.

Everyone was warm and personal, asking us if our meal was alright and whether we needed anything else.
The food was always amazing and timely prepared! A caveat, i have an eye for choosing good items on a menu so usually, i tend to end up with delicious choices. This is something that I have learnt over the years... I personally recommend Turk's mom and their Asian noodles, both are delightfully delicious. They also have a good variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes, just enough to allow considerable choices AND to ensure delectable quality in their dishes. Furthermore, the prices are good for the quality and portion, which is relatively generous!
The atmosphere lends itself to a hippy, alternative, with a rustic touch, vibe. Definitely more attractive to the younger population, and also a more international clientele.
Overall, everything was great and we had nothing to complain about. Food is delectable, just enough so we are just about full while our wallets stay happy. Service was warm and sweet. Atmosphere was great. 10/10!! Absolutely GREATLY recommend!!

The tasting menu is amazing. Well worth the price
I went there after hearing a friend raved about the terrific food. I went alone and didn’t have a reservation, but they were kind enough to accommodate me. I chose the Sultan and I, 4 course meal option. Each of the food items were perfect size, wonderfully flavorful and beautifully presents. The Indian surprise was in the dessert.
What made the experience even more enjoyable was my server, Abu, he was attentive and patiently explained what each item were and how to best to eat them to experience the full flavors.

This was the best breakfast we had in Amsterdam. Our party of four order four dishes and agreed that all were excellent. The freshness and flavor stood out. The restaurant is popular, as it should be, so there was a bit of a wait but well worth it. We hope to visit their location in Scotland next. I highly recommend Greenwoods for breakfast.
I had the pleasure of dining at this unique restaurant that combines Indonesian, and Dutch flavors. The rijstaffel was a delightful journey through various dishes, and the grilled watermelon was a surprisingly delicious highlight. The edible flower Szechuan in the dessert was a delightful touch that added to the overall experience. What truly stood out, though, was the excellent service. The staff's attention to detail and friendly demeanor made the evening truly memorable. I highly recommend this restaurant for a one-of-a-kind culinary adventure.
Beautiful spot for breakfast, very busy, we had to put our name down and come back for a table. Worth the wait, we got 2 full English breakfasts, they give you an option of how you want you eggs cooked, and what bread you would like. We had poached with sourdough, and our drink of choice was passion fruit orange fizz I believe. All together this sat us back £44.02 for two people. Only put down was the eggs tasted as if they had vinegar poured on them, other than that it was delicious.
So very well worth the wait! The coffee was world class and the bloody Mary was also excellent. Loved the food and the staff too. Highly recommend.

Amazing food— each dish had its own unique flavor and was seasoned to perfection. We ordered the the Magic Mushroom, which was marinated in a tasty sauce, but be ready to eat a lot of mushrooms. It’s perfect to split this dish and another dish with someone. The Turk’s mom dish had an amazing yogurt sauce— so good that we ordered extra bread as to not miss a single drop :)

Het is altijd een feestelijke gelegenheid wanneer ik daar gaat eten. De meze selectie is heerlijk en biedt een scala aan smaken om van te genieten. Maar het hoogtepunt is ongetwijfeld de verrukkelijke lamskotelet. De sappige smaak en perfecte bereiding maken het een absolute aanrader.
It was a hell of a wait to get a table - almost an hour in the cold wind but my quesadilla was immense. Food is served up beautifully and the flavours were a mix of Mexican and Middle Eastern. Service was chipper and fast.

I had to visit 2 nights in a roll so I can appreciate more of their magic. Have confidence to order their soup/meat/fish of the day. You won't be disappointed. Reserve your spot or try your luck for an 8 pm dinner. This place cooks and serves from the heart.

Small little bistro (mb seating 40) with wonderful Indonesian food. I didn't have the rijstafel as usually you can't when dining solo in Indonesian restaurants. Nicely decorated. I had the rabbit satay with grilled watermelon as an appetizer. Delicious and inventive. The main course was sumatran spicy prawns, served with yellow rice, vegetables and pickled vegetables. Dessert was Indonesian cake, spices with cinnamon and cardamom, sides of fruit and fruit ice.

Staff could not have been better. Warm, friendly and welcoming. I have a food allergy and my dish was modified to make it right for me. Presentation of food is very special and most importantly, every dish had so much flavour. You can tell the chefs takepride in their work. Three of us had a farewell dinner in Spijshuis De Dis on a weekday, almost full house, cozy atmosphere, very friendly staff, each of us had three courses meal with some wine and beer, food is delicious, price is reasonable.

Lovely Mediterranean restaurant close to Amsterdam downtown yet away of the busy parts of downtown. The restaurant is serving halal food.
Food was great, atmosphere was nice, our host was friendly and helpful. Food was served in short time, presentation was good and food was delicious! I loved the music tracks they were playing and loved that music wasn’t so loud so we still can talk to each other!

We had the loveliest experience here for a family dinner. Decor and details are beautiful. Service was amazing. Menu is inclusive of different ages and eating requirements. Food was high quality, well prepared, presented nicely and tasted delicious. Will definitely return.
The food was delicious, and a very generous amount, specially for such a price. It was very well plated too. The waiters took our order in spanish which was very nice of them (we are spanish, of course) and were very attentive. I also loved how almost everything could be ordered gluten free, and it had many vegan options too. I recommend it a lot

Good restaurant just outside center of Amsterdam. They have a wide range of dishes not limited to Italian food. Staff is friendly and service was good. Food was good as well, smaller portions (but good size) when compared to US means. I had the lamb (grilled) which was good (not perfect), we also had the lamb stew which was actually better. The rice was actually very good. Greek yogurt as dessert which is already a pleasure., which was nice. In general good restaurant.

Incredible! Service was so friendly, attentive, and warm. We loved the food, especially the seafood stew and the three mains for the 75 euro set menu. Can’t recommend this restaurant enough!!
The food is very high quality. Meat is very delicate (I ate lamb and chicken), all the side dishes are aromatic. Sitting outside was a great choice, inside it was a little hot, not too much air.

The higher waitress met me when I was getting the table and ignored that fact, so I had to wait 15 minutes, then go inside and ask somebody for a service. Visited this place by recommendation from Instagram. The food was just fine with standard price. Personally don’t find it exceptionally worth visiting unless you are after a canal side meal or tea.

Brought my friend for a brunch and I was very impressed with the vibe and food. In 21st century is all about the vibe and this place is on point. You can relax inside and listen to the sounds of the city. When the food arrived it was delicious and very interesting. We need more places like this to remove the stigma of boring vegan food.

I had an incredible experience at this restaurant and wanted to share my positive review. The staff went above and beyond to make my friend's birthday celebration unforgettable. They were extremely accommodating and surprised us by placing candles on the cake. Their assistance throughout the evening was invaluable. Additionally, the food was absolutely fantastic, leaving me thoroughly impressed. I highly recommend this restaurant to others seeking a memorable dining experience.
My Turkish friend recommended we go here, and we weren't disappointed. Authentic Turkish food, with many dishes we were not used to seeing at other Turkish restaurants. Very friendly owner. Lamb especially was excellent: perfectly pink and tender. Also recommend the white bean meze. Very good baklava: not overly sweet, you can taste the pistachio

Very nice option for a brunch in Amsterdam! I think my group was not lucky because the waiter made a mistake with all 4 of the orders, but it was a busy day and after all, the food was great and yummy. We got a table outside and the staff provided us with blankets for the wind. Fast service and nice meal, but be ready for a big waiting line to be seated.
We stopped and only waited 20 minutes for a table but the wait was so worth it! The samplers were amazing. The mixed grill and the grilled chicken salad were fantastic! My meal was topped off with an amazing chocolate mousse! This is a great option for dinner outside the center of Amsterdam!

Place is a bit small and crowded. Service is amazing and staff is very friendly. Food is nice and portions are big but could be nicer.
Beautiful food and service. We came here super hungover from the endeavours of the night before, but nothing cures hangover like a little hearty food and a glass of mimosa 😉

We had a very good dinner twice in this nice restaurant. I can recommend the surprise menu with matching wines. The young enthusiastic staff are very friendly and they explain the plates and the wine very well and professionally. We enjoyed this place and we will definitely come back again.

We checked out @greenwoods.amsterdam for breakfast this morning and tried some of their diverse options. We went for the Full English breakfast, which included white pudding - a unique British and Irish dish made from oatmeal, suet, and pork meat.
We also had pancakes loaded with blueberries and bacon, and an unconventional Eggs Benedict topped with pastrami, sauerkraut, and pickles. Kudos to the chef, the eggs were cooked to perfection across the dishes.

Probably a bit underrated. The food was excellent and the service was even better! The staff here have a very positive and engaging energy! Would definitely come back.
This restaurant was a nice surprise! The location in very pleasant! The inside really transports you to the old times, but if the weather allows, choose to sit outside. I strongly recommend the mushrooms entree. I definitely want to came back and try other plates from the menu.

There is the best turkish restaurant in Amsterdam! We came two evenings in a row because it was so delicious. All dishes are individually very tasty and attentive. We felt like we were in Turkey. Got here right when they opened but it took them about 10 minutes for them to get all set up for customers. After getting seated, we got some bread, olives and some sort of dip for the bread which was really nice. Then we got a round of beers. For food we ordered Guvec which is a lamb stew with eggplant, garlic, tomato and bell pepper. My friends ordered the Baked Chicken which had cubed chicken fillet, mushrooms, onions, garlic, bell pepper, tomato in cream sauce and the Dutch steak which was steak baked in butter. Good food, a little bit pricey, service was nice tho, they kept the bread going which was nice!

Delicious, fresh, authentic food. Great atmosphere with many native Spanish people. Super friendly staff.
We arrived about 10 minutes earlier than our reservation but it was no problem. One of the workers, Marco, was great company. We had a nice conversation in which he also mentioned what dish we could try and how you share the food with the other person.
The dishes were delicious and fresh🇪🇸! Great portions to share and enjoy with someone. Recommend ordering different dishes to do this.

Lovely restaurant, recommend to go. We had the 5-course menu. Can be had with matching wines, also half glasses. Good selection of wines; they went well with the dishes. Food was tasty and service very friendly.
My colleague had raved about this restaurant, so I decided to take my team there for dinner. At first, things didn't seem to be going too well as the staff appeared a bit curt, but it soon became clear that they were just under a lot of pressure during the busy hour. Once we got settled in, the staff was fantastic! They were friendly, suggested some amazing dishes, and catered to all our needs, considering we were a large group.
And the food... Oh my goodness, it was divine! Every dish we tried was better than the last - the starters, mains, drinks, and desserts were all mouth-watering. I cannot praise the food enough. I'm already planning to return to the restaurant for another fantastic experience.

Best restaurant we had in a long time. Food was excellent (best lamb cotelletes I ever had), the wine pairing was surprising and very good. The staff did their job very well. Price were also not bad given the quality of food. We will definitely return.

Had a very great experience at this place with a couple of friends. The food was good, bu the service was outstanding. The owner told us some jokes told us stories and explained in detail what Turkish coffee was. I can recommend you to visit.
So happy that my wife and I found this place in Groningen. Wonderful food, and great conversation with the owner of the establishment. As soon as I get back this will be a regular spot for a great lamb stew.

Another fully vegan cafe❤️ Ambiance is so vibing and full of plants! I loved the beetroot juice with ginger touch. The oysters mushroom sandwich was tasty and dessert - special lemon apple cake was so delicious. But scrambled tofu sandwich can have a bit more flavour and salt! The banana bread was tooo healthy- could taste figs more than bananas. Besides food, the staff was really friendly and welcoming. The place also has good wifi and you can work as long as you like! Overall great experience ;)
After moving to Meern just one day, we're lucky to book here kinda last minute for the dinner on 2812 evening. Only pity that we don't have much time to enjoy more dishes so only choose 3 courses dinner, but the impression is more than good to for sure to come back and enjoy more!

The food is good, but the way this place is ran it’s really not. It took more than 30’ to get our order and almost two hours to get our food. Until we finished eating it was too late for us to get desserts. They don’t serve water - no tap, bottled, nothing, even if you ask. You get tap water only if you order a jug of wine too (only wine, other drinks don’t count). We insisted a lot for some water and they eventually gave us half a glass each, and charged us 3 euro for it. It’s not much, but it’s the gesture. Water you give even to strangers if they are thirsty and you don’t give to your guests?

Some of the best tapas I ever ate! As a reference, I had a lot of great tapas in Spain in my life. Lume offers fresh, modern and tasty food at good prices. Also the staff is fantastic.

Lovely experiment of food👌👏👍. We were here for "High Tea" & every course surprised us.
The restaurant has very few vegan options but those dishes are delicious. I had the vegan mousakka (veggies - carrots, squash, zucchini, lentils, chickpeas, eggplants - steamed and prepared in spices). The dish came along with aromatic and flavorful rice and a bowl of freshly prepared salad.
For dessert, the chef prepared vegan balls for me that were made of dates, fig, maple syrup, nuts and dark chocolate.
My food and the dessert were both excellent!! I messed up the picture of the main dish but adding a pic of the dessert.
PS- they do not accept ‘visa’ credit cards. You will be fine if you have a MasterCard though. I had to make payment via PayPal to the chef directly which is not something I prefer but appreciate that they were accommodating.

The best "zwarte rijst" in the Netherlands. Very good Spanish restaurant with tapas and paellas. It is a must if you visit Nijmegen. Cozy place with friendly staff.
Alles an diesem Lokal stimmt. Schlichte und gemütlichiche Einrichtung, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, ausgezeichneter Kaffee und eine hervorragende Küche zu moderaten Preisen. Sechs Gänge für 55 Euro (ohne Getränke) scheint mir echt preiswert. Was für eine grossartige Entdeckung.

An amazing dining experience! Greeted by the friendliest owner I have ever met, he made us feel at home. The menu is in dutch but was translated for us and dishes adjusted to how we wanted. All responsibly priced apart from the bottled water but altogether a great dinning experience. Would recommend to everyone. Thank you so much for a great evening!
