Avoid the chicken from this place absolutly trash
Belachelijk duur! 29 euro betaald voor 6 worstjes, ciqkofte, broodje grillworst en 300 gram kipblokjes. Daarnaast geflasht met ciqkofte. Dacht dat het door hun zelf vers is gemaakt, blijk het een kant en klare variant te zijn die ze zelf ff hebben gekneden. Dat verklaart waarom het geen zoete inval bij hun is. Gewoon vertrouwd naar de buren iets verderop. Vers, eerlijk en goedkoper!

I found this place by accident. Got some fantastic steaks from them. Will visit again.
We hosted Thanksgiving dinner in Amsterdam this year and because of space issues decided to do turkey rollades instead of a whole turkey. I walked into the Slagerij a few days prior asking if they could make me two rollades to prepare at home and that was no problem. I picked them up a day before Thanksgiving and also got excellent instructions on how to prepare them properly.
On the day of, it went beautifully and everyone loved it. I don't usually like turkey but this was really good, tender and flavourful. My American husband even said it was the best turkey he ever had. Highly recommend this place for quality, customer service and price.

Always friendly service and good selection of meat. They always try to help with suggestions and help to cut the meat per our request.
Lovely local supermarket. They have literally everything and more. I am so happy we have this supermarket near home. Fresh fruit and vegetables and great meat corner.

Topklasse vlees voor minder geld dan op de markt en in de supermarkt.
Niet met water geïnjecteerd om het zwaarder te maken, zoals in de supermarkt, waardoor je vlees eerst 5 minuten kookt, voordat het begint te braden.
Je wordt zeer vriendelijk geholpen, en staat nooit lang te wachten.
Enorme sortering in kruiden.
Probeer eens hun rib-eye of gehakt halfom (rund/lam).
Topklasse vlees voor minder geld dan op de markt en in de supermarkt.

Great range of products. They have fresh olives, fruit, veggies, stuffed peppers and loads of stuff you can use for a nice borrel or spread if friends are coming over. Their staff is also really friendly and next door they have a package service for a lot of companies which is great if you have packages from several curriers.

Super!!! Voor onze werkgever (school) een BBQ pakket vopr 16 man laten samenstellen. Iedereen was super enthousiast. Ook de prijzen zijn schappelijk. Personeel zeer vriendelijk en denken met de klant mee. Groot assortiment en genoeg parkeergelegenheid

I bought this meat on Sunday afternoon, it was red as blood color. After 1 day in the fridge, it turned brown! Very weird, it’s the first time to see a brown meat!
This is the best grocery store in Oost - prices are great, service is fantastic. I do recommend to try their deli selection - the salads and hummus are fantastic; veggies are fantastically prices (especially greens). There's also a huge selection of sauces and condiments for everyone's liking. I frequent them almost daily and I'm never disappointed.

The grocery shop to go in this area of amsterdam (east, amstel, weesperplein, pijp, rivierenbuurt). Best range, quality and price of the area (not tried all javastraat shop but better than few I did).
I mainly go there for fruits and vegetables but you can buy meat and condiments also.

Loads of chicken breast 4Euros yes. EDIT: the chicken breast is a bit weird , I did not like it. All slimy and soft and weirdly big… guessing pumped up with water and chemicals or something. The other meat like lamb chops and steaks are amazing ! Not sure why the chicken is so weird.

Only surprise was 3.99 for a pineapple … seems more than I’ve come to expect.

Today I went to the shop in West ordered wagyu, which was fine. I also ordered ribeye Australian, and Uruguayan I was given Ocean New Zealand instead and was charged for Australian which is 7 euro more expensive.
I specifically talk the butcher to give me what I asked for and don’t give me just anything else if so t have it don’t give me an alternative which he did exactly while charging me more!!
I am not happy with this treatment and the idea to just give me anything that I did not order is cheating and disrespectful !!

A little bit disappointed because meat was not fresh but frozen. We go to this shop from very far and arriving at home we usually freeze our meat for the month but if it is already frozen, it can not be frozen again. We brought also sausage sandwiches and roasted chicken but there was a smell and a taste of old meat so please try to enhance products because this is what we come for. I will not return there.

Onlangs lamsboutjes gekocht, die liepen het zakje uit, waren verrot. Gebeld met de eigenaar, die zei: Dat kan niet! Maar wij de volgende dag terug, met de gratie god ons geld terug gekregen. Schandalig behandeld. Hier komen wij niet meer terug.
Wilde mijn man verrassen met een lekker ossenhaas biefstukje, en dat mag dan best wat kosten. Bij de kassa kon ik voor 308 gr ossenhaas € 24,49 aftikken. Voor die prijs verwacht je iets héél goeds. Smaak en kleur vielen erg tegen. Aardig personeel dát wel, maar veel te duur voor de kwaliteit die je ervoor krijgt. Naar deze slagerij ga ik niet meer.
I love the meat from this shop! They have homemade sucuk and it tastes absolutely amazing! They also have very very affordable prime cuts of beef. I bought a whole ribeye which they imported from Spain and it was tender and very flavourful! Also, the service is friendly and fast. Thanks! Salam!

Ik haal hier altijd me belegde broodjes, echt heerlijk 😋 echt een aanrader ! Goeie slager en klantvriendelijk zoals het hoort . Ik vind de producten er altijd goed en mooi uitzien , moet k echt aan vroeger denken als ik met me vader boodschappen ging halen en daarna naar de slager
This is the best place in the neighborhood to buy fresh fruits and vegetables. I often just go in to see what they have and discover something new. They have a great selection in general dried spices and herbs, lentils, some asian products and olives and dips. Also all of the people that work here are super friendly, great service always!

Slager is denk ik een oplichter lams shoarma gemixt met andere vlees wanneer ik dit klaar maak zie 2 verschillende kleuren en wel even zoveel geld incasseren
Wij zaten vorig jaar kerst in tijd nood met gourmet schotel , bij kaddour stond er een rij vn hier tot Tokio, toen zijn wij deze slager tegen gekomen en die had voor ons een hele mooie gourmet schotel gemaakt waar ik bij stond! Geweldig kwaliteits vlees!!, wij wonen nu niet meer in Amsterdam maar wij denken er toch aan dit jaar weer bij hun te halen!

De lams shoarma is echt de bom nergens zo lekker te vinden.. en ik ben zeer kritisch te noemen. Fruit is heerlijk zoet, hier ben echt zeer moeilijk mee omdat ik niet zo van fruit houd. Kortom fijne winkel behulpzaam en aardig personeel.

Vernieuwd, het is wat groter geworden en de slagerafdeling is uitgebreid. Ik ben erg tevreden over het aanbod en de prijzen.
Being there for the first time after years, we were looking for a roasted chicken made Italian style (here in nl they put too many souces - like honing, sambal or whatever, even when they say naturelle is not natural at all - and stuff that really does not make it taste like chicken). Is the first chicken we had in Amsterdam pretty close to Italian rosticceria, so we are happy now! We would been happier if they would make a full Italian roasted chicken because is more crispy! I hope this feedback will help because I see they read reviews! Forgot to mention: they might do the Fiorentina cut because I have seen it in the fridge!

Ik kom er al meer dan 10 jaar, heerlijk vlees van top kwaliteit. Ook in het assortiment Italiaanse vleeswaren. Zeer de moeite waard om even binnen te stappen.

It's usually busy, but with good reason: fantastic meat for very decent prices. Everyone in the neighbourhood that knows their meat goes here. Sweet staff that works hard and diligent.
Klein maar fijn! Je hebt ook grotere islamitische slagers/supermarkt maar bij deze is het goed geregeld. Afstand, bijna nooit lange rijen terwijl men wel binnenloopt en koopt. Het is gestructureerd, een pluspunt en ook de service is goed als de prijs!

Ik heb hier paar keer vlees gekocht wat erg duur was en wat betreft smaak niet lekker maar het ergste is dat ik oma's stooflappen kocht dat ze de jus ook lieten betalen voor hetzelfde geld als de prijs van de . de stooflappen bah echt n et normaal. nooit ooit meer

My one and only butcher
What a lovely butcher, this store brings you back to a time when you where greeted politely and given assistance and advice, but it still can be done in this modern day and age. The meats are beautifully prepared and presented. Along with a excellent choice of pork, lamb, beef, hamburger patties, mince and homemade sausages, the beef ones where superb and the pork ones very tasty. I haven’t had as nice sausages ( worsts ) from anywhere else in Amsterdam and these are superior to any from a supermarket.
There’s well cut steaks with minimal fat, and lovely cuts of lamb. Over Easter I bought a full leg of lamb and it was one of the best roast I’ve ever had. They have a good selection of cold cut meats and a section of cheeses still in the large rolls so you can select from Edam, young to old cheese and the size piece you want cut to your wishes, wedge, sliced or my favorite a rectangular block.
The service is wonderful and very friendly the butcher came out and said hello as well and the team say farewell. It’s all how it should be, and everything that supermarkets are not. They are service and customer oriented and everything is fresh as it can be. Marvelous just how it was and still obviously can be.

This is the best butcher in Amsterdam no question about it. If you appreciate the highest quality meat (beef, pork, chicken) and prepared meat meals (meatballs, meatloaf, burritos, bbq chicken), plus a huge selection of deli meats and dips, visit them. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely worth the trip. Everything here is delicious. Plus, much is from free range animals.
