Best Fish restaurants in Portugal

Perfect place if you want to be in nature. The view of the sea is beautiful. The food is so tasty and the staff very good.

In a bush on a cliff top we ate tasty Brazilianish food, drank the worst caipirinha in memory, and laughed at the bizarre service. For reference, the caipirinha tasted as if it either forgot its cachaca, or sat on the side for ten minutes while the ice melted, or both. I took a first drink just because, a second out of disbelief, and a third for confirmation. My (Brazilian) girlfriend also tried it and then complained for me (I can’t complain - I’m English). The waitress removed the drink to the bar, then returned, placed it back on our table and said, “it’s a caipirinha”, shrugged, and walked off. We left the remainder sat on the edge of the table, watery reminder of the bitter taste left in our mouths (of the service that is, not the caipirinha - the caipirinha didn’t taste of anything). The mushrooms were very good though.

We couldn't have something to drink if we didn't order food, we were 14 people and everybody had to order. Another thing they refused to turn up the volume for the fotball game.

Worst experience ever. Could not order anything because it was a minimum order price. They yelled at us and make leave. Horrible experience!

It is a wonderful place to sit and relax in the middle of a beautiful forest. The environment is peaceful and has great vibes. They offer tasty food and drinks, and the view is absolutely amazing. The staff are really kind and make you feel welcome. It's a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy nature.

Very nice place place for drinks. Food is good but not my first choice.

We were at busy hours with live music and service was not veryfast.

Amazing place. Not giving it full 5 stars just cause there aren’t a lot of vegan options. But everything I tried was super delicious. The foodl is a mix of Brazilian and Portuguese, the view is amazing and you can sit outside. It’s located inside of a shopping area. I would love to visit it at night for the music and cocktails as well.

The space is very fun. We were there on a rainy day but I can see that there are many fun evenings here. The food was mediocre for the price but the staff were very friendly.

Very different and interesting experience of the restaurant. Location was great, close to see and beautiful sea view with a sunset. Food was good and staff were kindly. Price was a pretty high of food what we ate. It was nice experience and if you are looking for just something different, exotic and sustainable choices, maybe you should try this one.

I went to this place a few times and ordered online a couple of times. The main problem with it is that they are not consistent with the cooking. I got a perfectly cooked and delicious gilt-head bream (Dorada/Dourada) a few times and got the same fish burnt outside and raw inside a couple of times (first time at the restaurant and second time when I ordered for delivery). On my last experience I've ordered online, the price for Dourada was very high in the delivery app, they selected probably the largest fish they had (1kg+), but it still was not at that high price by weight, so they added some additional, totally tasteless mix of rice and beans, which got trashed right away, but the main problem was with the Dourada, it was burnt outside (like black and missing skin) and raw inside and because of the way it was cooked, the taste was altered, they totally ruined a fresh fish on my money. Will never order food from them again.

It's a nice place, but the value for money ratio is not good. It's too expensive. 25 to 30 euros for a random entrecôte, WITHOUT any side dish, which you need to pay apart, 8 to 10€, and the sauce paid extra as well. So the main dish is a total of 40 euros. I love meat , it was OK, but not soooo good to justify such a price. Also, for a meat place, it would be recommended to serve with hot stone, or something to keep it warm.
Quite noisy inside by the way, so the atmosphere does not compensate.

Probably here is the worst restaurant I visited in Portugal.

Ordered two medium rare and well-done, but medium rare were completely rare steak- Steak was undercooked and basic trimming of muscle was missing. This is basic for steak restaurant though, So steak was like a rubber. Staffs never check our table or bring the menu. Every time we had to call them. Pint cup was stinky, so I gave up to finish my beer pint..

This is the place for the meat lovers!
Excellent food. The entrecote was perfect grilled and the fries with truffled mayo was amazing.
The portions is big and good for one person.
The service was also great and very patient even being a tourist.

For sure I’ll come back again.

the seafood was amazing but we had to wait for our order for 40 min which is way too long in my opinion, the ocean view is nice tho

Nice atmosphere, great view. Unfortunately, it was full of annoying flies sitting on the food and on me.

The burger looked great, but sadly was very bland. Also, the burger bun was a bit stale/boring and could have been toasted for better taste/feeling.

The waiter had issues understanding a simple order in English.

I paid 37 € for one person (cheese as starter, burger as main, 1 coffee, 1 small water).

Overall, I don't recommend this restaurant. Adding more taste to the food would change my opinion.

Had a great meal at Coal. I had the Grilled Picanha (Rump Steak) with Fried Polenta. The Picanha was tender and full of flavor, as picanha steaks should be. The Fried Polenta had the expected crispy outside and soft interior. It was very good. The plating was simple but elegant even though it was just a stake. I also tried the Grilled Salted Cod with Caramelized Onions and Potatoes, which I thought was good, but lacked a little bit of salt. We finished the meal with a dainty Red Berry Pavlova. Staff was very friendly and receptive to any questions that we had. The restaurant has an elegant ambiance in dark hues, making it a perfect spot for a dinner.

This was definitely a wrong choice, I shouldn't have come here, I showed the bug to the waiter, he didn't say anything, he wanted to let it go, I think this restaurant should be punished, and in the end I paid in full bill. Big joke, expensive and dirty and poor service attitude.

Coal is a stylish restaurant with nice staff and verity of delicious foods.
I tried so many foods in Coal and I enjoyed most of them.
My favorite dishes are starters and side-dishes which you cannot find anywhere else.
Also code dish liver is something very interesting and delicious which I’ve never tried before.
Chicken heart, portobello mushrooms and baked potato with cheese are my favorite side dishes.
Other fishes are good but I didn’t like steaks.
Highly recommend this place especially to finger food lovers.

Awesome food at this restaurant. The customer service was delightful as well. The olives and bread were tasty in addition to the good food. We all had different food options at the table, so we could enjoy each other’s food. The baked potato was really good and so was the tuna steak. I recommend you trying the restaurant if you are in the area. They have indoor and outdoor seating available as well. The waygu steak was superb.

Excellent food and wonderful hospitality in a fresh and comfortable atmosphere. We started with a cocktail and the outstanding couvert, which featured perfectly brined olives and delectible pork rinds. We moved onto wine and grilled bone marrow, both of which were delicious. We then shared the wonderful chuleton, and I savored my first baked potato in Portugal. Our desserts were the perfect finishing touch to a fantastic meal - we'll be back!

Nice Location. Quick Service. Fish Restaurant. Soup was really great. The chief came out and ask, how we want the fish done.
