We stayed there for the Neversea festival. Very nice design, clean spacious rooms. Our apartment had nice seaside view. The check-in process is easy and you access the room via code. There are many nice restaurants and coffee places around. We parked on the street of the hotel.
Amazing place & design. Better prices during the week days, not that affordable but definitely something different with great quality. We were disappointed that they did not offer us a cot for the baby, they should have this option included + no breakfast options.

Me and my family stayed for 3 days 2 nights. We found the apartment with complete amenities. It's clean and organize.
They allowed us to leave our luggage without any extra payment. Will choose it again when we come back in Bucharest. And I recommend it because it's affordable in every pocket.

Rezident Tomis Marina is a beautiful place, with great location with many bars and restaurants walking distance. The design of the rooms is amazing and you cand find anything that you need for your holiday: washing machine, iron, coffee machine etc. Most of the rooms have sea view and you cand wake up every morning facing the little port and the beach. It is also close to the beach and it is perfect for a weekend getaway or a summer vacation stay. Totally recommend it!

Very nice and humble place, for a few days trip to the sea. The rooms are minimal and clean, the staff, welcoming and helpful, close to public transport and about 10 min from the sea. Coffee / tea is on the house.
Beautiful place! Next to the downtown and the seaside. The only problem is that there is no private parking, but in 300 m. there is a free public one.

What a wonderful hotel, Sauna pool, gym, people who work there are good, but the restaurant has something to be desired. We waited 1 hour for a fish and my husband ordered potatoes and steak, too much salt in the food, terrible service. After eating the fish I vomited.

Had a great stay at Continental. Our room had a spectacular view. The staff had met all of our needs and responded to all of our inquiries.
Definitely recommend trying out the indoor pool / spa services.

We love Hotel Pestera, we come here since 1991 and every time it's a unique visit.
Rooms are nice, clean and with everything you need. Yes, some can say they are small but at the end of the day you don't come to a hotel in the mountains to stay in the room, you come for all the amazing places surrounding the hotel. :)
Staff were very friendly and happy to help, always with a smile on their face.

The hotel is outdated and undermanned. To request something is wishful thinking, mainly because the staff won't understand you as almost nobody speaks English but everybody knows how to be a mime.

We got told that extra towels are with extra payment... the little shampoo in the room also with extra charge... We didn't want any communication with the staff, so we asked for them not to knock and just put the towels and amenities near the door after they somehow understood us. But with the sign that says do not disturb, the staff knocked a few times, waking us in the process when we only fell asleep.
The lift didn't work on the last two days, and we had to wait with our entire group for just 1 elevator. They had 3 elevators, but the third is just for decoration..

We had an amazing experience of peace and relaxation at next level.
My family together with my sisters family enjoyed a true Romanian Gourmet Food week with total peace and relaxation at next level.
We had La Grotta Resort referred by a family friend and he was correct!
We have chosen a la carte menu every evening and the Pork Neck with Porcini along with the BBQ Rips were our favorite. The dishes were very generous and everything was cooked fresh - thank you Chef!
We recommend our favourited dishes to all meat lovers

I had an overall satisfactory experience with the room considering the price I paid and its location. The room was clean and had fresh towels and bedding, with a comfortable bed. The spacious bathroom was also clean and well-stocked with amenities. I found the receptionist, Alida, to be exceptionally kind and helpful, and the housekeeping staff was also efficient (5 stars for them). Considering the price, it was a good experience.
While definitely past its former glory, it still retains its main advantage (the incredible views over the whole city) while compensating for the downsides (e.g. lack of modern amenities such as well thought out power plugs for charging devices) with the charm of something representative of a different era - you half expect to find a framed photo of Ceausescu on the wall. That said it has an amazing traditional breakfast, and the staff is very accommodating, so overall well worth the price (in money and calories spent climbing the hill).

The hotel is very good, the service is amazing the location is in the old town, the center of everything but the hotel is pretty small but it isnt a really issue

The staff is super accommodating especially the boy on the reception with the broken phone. We had no Romanian money to order take away as we were travelling to Bulgaria from England and they were so helpful even exchange money for us and help us with everything we needed! And we wish we had some more day to stay there the city looks so nice 👌🏿 definitely recommend 🥰
The standard (business) room is very basic and looks outdated. Value for money is very poor.

Some of the friendliest and welcoming hosts I've ever met! This is a pet-friendly location with an awesome sunset view, very good spa&pool facilities and great food. It's easily accesible from the main road and it's also close to a few wonderful hiking opportunities (Vadu Crisului Cave and Waterfall). I particularly appreciated how kind the hosts were with our needs, the pastry on the house, the fact that the pool and spa are open during the night and the friendship my dog had with Blacky, a local dog. I definitely recommend their experience!

Had a team-building organized here, very expensive, bad services, small rooms and on top of everything, the staff was constantly looking to rip us off.
Paid for multiple coffee breaks, but they refused to bring us water before the coffee break and had to pay separately for botteled water. The coffee break was 45 lei per person - water and coffee, all they brought was tap water and and old espresso machine.
Paid specially for a camp fire for the team, they lit it at 21:00 and extinguished it at 22:00, saying the staff supervising it had to leave.
Paid for an open bar with soft drinks included, they charged us for tonic water saying Pepsi and 7up is all what is included.
We paid 12.000 euros for 30 people, friday through sunday.

The room was very clean but with a significant smell of smoking coming in from the balcony. Staff is helpful, view is excellent - especially if you manage to get a room on the south side of the building. Sauna/gym/swimming pool of good size.
Stayed Hotel Belvedere, classic solid socialist architecture, on the Citadella hill overlooking Cluj; 5 minute taxi ride from station (15 minute down - 20 minute up walk).
Check in was fast, the room was fine 3rd floor, two single beds, good balcony view, tv fine and wifi too; guess within a few years there will be an upgrade on furnishings & fittings.
Breakfast is served back of the ground floor in the restaurant, all good, standard breakfast buffet and you can also dine on the terrace (service all day with coffee, drinks and menu).
One also had dinner in the evenings with a standard menu (saves a trip to town), grilled chicken and vegetables one evening, then pork schnitzel and chips the other; service was relaxed and friendly enough, though tables were very big, fitting 6-8 people.
Did not use the pool etc. in a separate ground floor area, you just need to ask reception for an access card and buy a cap (think bathrobes in rooms).

Absolutely terrible service at both the reception and the attached restaurant. Incredibly rude and incompetent staff. The “non-smoking” rooms smell VERY strongly of cigarettes. The food at the restaurant was microwaved, late, missing items, and the manager couldn’t figure out how to work the pay machine and didn’t seem fussed to figure it out. It took us about 40 minutes just to pay because he kept walking away with the machine mid-transaction. Also, half of the menu was unavailable. Would not recommend staying here and would avoid the restaurant at all costs. Everyone was very rude to us.
Regarding the offer of the Timisoara Hotel, it is worth paying attention to several aspects. The hotel has a great location, breakfast is at the European level, and the service is excellent. The hotel has a swimming pool and SPA. The biggest disappointment was that you could only use it once for four days of our stay from 2 to 8 pm.
Had a relaxing short stay with time in the sauna and pool and enjoying the sunshine in the grounds. All the staff were lovely including especially Ligia on the reception. See you all again soon
Lack of option at the terrace. My family climbed the stairs and when we reached the terrace, they only offered us drinks, and not even all of their options were available. When we entered the main lobby, every light was off, it was like it was an abandoned cave that we worked to get to. They wouldn’t even offer ice cream, or anything to eat, for that matter. None of the staff knew how to answer a simple question. It took them 20 minutes to come back with our order of water and a small coffee. When the coffee came, and the spoon that we were given to mix it up was used, the spoon melted. The bartender didn’t even give a warning as to how hot the coffee was.
This is a joke. Parking is not included in the price. The heater on my room was malfunctioning. The bathroom had a small slippery bathtube making shower almost impossible and very dangerous

Where do I begin? Our stay at this hotel was an absolute nightmare, leaving us sleepless for five consecutive nights. Allow me to outline the numerous issues we encountered:
The overpowering stench of sewage permeated our room, reaching such an unbearable level that we had to complain and request assistance. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, the problem remained unresolved, and we were left with no option to switch rooms.
The non-functional air conditioning forced us to keep the door open in a desperate attempt to cool down the room. This, however, proved futile as the noise from the surroundings made it impossible to get any restful sleep.
The door lock was completely dysfunctional, compromising our safety and peace of mind throughout our stay.
Hot water was a luxury that eluded us for over 16 agonizing hours. The receptionist repeatedly assured us that the issue had been rectified, only to discover their words were nothing more than empty promises. Their lack of accountability and failure to assist us further exacerbated the situation.
Dilapidated furniture plagued our room, leaving us with limited storage space for our belongings. The state of disrepair was simply unacceptable.
To our astonishment, we learned that other guests were also facing issues with the hotel's cleaning staff, as some reported missing or discarded personal items. This lack of professionalism and integrity is deeply concerning.
The beds in the hotel were incredibly small, barely accommodating two people comfortably. It felt almost cruel to expect guests to endure such cramped sleeping arrangements.
The sole silver lining in this ordeal was the pleasant demeanor of the lady working in the breakfast area. She was the only staff member who displayed genuine courtesy and professionalism.
Given the multitude of problems we encountered and the hotel's evident disregard for its guests' well-being once payment was made, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this establishment under any circumstances.

Super Hotel at 1600m altitude! Nice luxurious rooms, very clean! A litle bit smaller maybe, but it is a mountain top hotel. A bit pricey'er for Romania, but if you count the 3 meals all you can eat buffet it is fair price.

Very good hotel, with a lot of functionalities offered to the guests.: spa, swimming pool, very good wine tasting bar with "1000 chipuri" wine, very cozy patio and a good breakfast.
My room was on the 4th floor towards the main roads in front of the Hotel. The noise from cars and ambulances was awful even with closed windows as they are not sound insulating enough. The room was very nice, just the 2 single beds were quite small and could not be joined completely and were too short for persons over 1,9 meters. The city centre was in close walking distance. Probably the rooms on the rear of the Hotel towards the park are OK noisewise. The personal was very efficient and friendly.
Unfortunately, I had to cancel my booking at very short notice due to a strike that made it impossible to arrive. The possibility of a cost-free cancellation was no longer possible according to the booking, yet the hotel has agreed to a free cancellation. Grandiose service and for me is not self-evident. Very big thanks! The trip will be made up and the hotel is fixed for me. Likewise, I will recommend this hotel very gladly. Once again: thank you very much!

Whatever fish it has been used + the seafood, I can tell you that it was not fresh.
We have paid 58 RON for one soup and we ended up with food poisoning.

It’s my second time in this hotel, stayed there for 14 nights. Rooms are big, nice and clean. Hotel is located inside the downtown and other happening spots. Bathroom could have been added with more beauty care or cosmetics.

The owner was very hospitable warm did welcomed us sending us driver to pick up us from the train station until the resort.

Great hotel, lovely staff. The rooms are modern, with a slight funky twist. Wonderful. The one remark is the default temperature in the room: 26-28 degrees Celsius. As soon as you turn the aircon off, it warms back up. Otherwise wonderful and recommended.
Excellent location and only that. Very small room for two persons, the toilet smells, I asked for new towels and they told me to come again tomorrow! I stayed for 2 nights and they cleaned the room and throw the rubbish only once. Very poor breakfast. The lady at the breakfast is very kind
Well if you like taking shower in a moldy enclosure then it’s great. Mold in the grout between the tiles all over the place. Looks like these showers never been really clean. Too bad they don’t allow pictures to show you guys in the moldy room I slept in. Lobby smelled like sewer this morning..
A good place to stay, fine breakfast with excellent fried eggs (sunny side up). Nice gym is free to use for hotel guests, room is cosy, but during colder times you want to avoid rooms on the first floor as insulation has some challenges perhaps due to the building's visible concrete structure. Excellent beds, large blankets, comfy pillows. Overall, a good place to stay. Situated in the old town area, so a lot of restaurants are in just a couple minute walking distance.
Great hotel room, friendly staff, not much choice for breakfast. It was very loud airh noisy guests coming in late abd loud music outside.
I liked it a lot. Modern. With great green territory, a playground, a waterfall, a conference hall, a swimming pool and a fitness center.

A 3 star experience with 4 star prices: small room, even smaller shower. The pool was really crowded, way too many people for such a small pool, sauna also crowded. The iceskating was a bit larger than a room :) the food was good, a bit too salty. All in all far too pricey for the services provided but very nice if the prices would be lower. The view is spectacular, also many alternatives to enjoy the outdoors and the mountains.
It's on ok hotel but could use some updates in terms of design and comfort. However the pool and the spa area is pretty good. Hotel location is great, within a few minutes walking distance from the main squares and tourist areas. There is a parking lot in front of the hotel and for the hotel guests it's pretty cheap to park there so you don't need to worry about parking and car security.
After 15 minutes of waiting, waiter came back to tell us they don't have neither soups (apparently they finished them before lunch time) and not even a plain lemonade.

The place is amazing. The view is breathtaking, the rooms have all the necessary amenities, the food is delicious, everything is clean, and the host is extremely welcoming and pays a lot of attention to details. We had a great vacation and we can't recommend it enough!
The room was spacious and tastefully decorated, the service was prompt and the breakfast was tasty (we had continental and english), and the location was perfect - right in the heart of the old city near all the restaurants and visiting sights + really close to the beach.
What we also liked was the AC which kept on going so when we came back the room was nice and cold.
The only minus that we had was in our bathroom - the shower easily flooded the floor, but that ain't such a big deal.

The location is superb, the rooms, although small, are clean, we didn't get to the swimming pool, taking into account that we came with a baby of only one month, unfortunately, the less pleasant things also appear here, but which with a little attention can be easily improved. I specified from the reservation (by phone) that we were coming with a baby and I thought it was clear that we needed peace, by the way the motto: you, peace and the mountain don't really match at this time, taking into account the construction next door.
The food, although the products seem to be of high quality, leaves a lot to be desired, more rushed canteen food or push the tray than restaurant food. The icing on the cake is the first time I go to a hotel and am woken up by the maid cleaning at 7 : 30 above our room...
In conclusion, with more organization and attention, 90% of the unpleasant things would not have happened.
As a suggestion, announce on the website that you are building a 5-star hotel nearby and that there is noise specific to construction sites

Second time, after one year, I was using this place for a night. Unfortunately, this time the room was not at the same level. The floor was destroyed (after a flood), and, the room was under 2 stars.
A top 10 plus resort! From the time of booking until departure. From the first phone call, the hosts were kind and gave us all the information we needed for a dream stay. But images and comments can only cover 50% of reality. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the hosts and the service staff with a big smile on the lips. Throughout our stay we were delighted by their availability, the quality of services, the menus offered, but also everything that this location can offer. Situated on a hill, it offers a wonderful panorama throughout the day. In the resort you can permanently use all the facilities mentioned on the site: swimming pool (heated and covered), tub, spa and sauna. The menus are impressive and diverse, even for those who want culinary delicacies. From breakfast (containing traditional products), lunch (where the famous bob goulash is worth tasting) and dinner (the offer is varied, I recommend you to try all the proposals, but the BBQ ribs is in my opinion the best tasted ever. But you must taste the pork variants with different sauces, but also the trout. Last but not least it is worth trying the famous „papanasi” - doughnuts with sour cream and jam, which I tasted every night). Please note: Breakfast is served from 08:00 to 11:00, lunch from 14:00 to 15:30 and dinner from 18:00 to 21:00. The rooms are spacious, clean, with a refrigerator, smart tv - led, and wifi is available throughout the resort. The hosts facilitates participation in rafting sessions on Crișul Repede - including transport (departing from Șuncuiuș and arriving in Vadu Crișului). Upon request, it is possible to facilitate the participation in Trekking or Via Ferrata tours on the Crisul Repede Gorge. The mountain trails in the area have different degrees of difficulty, depending on the availability of effort of each. However, it is very easy to reach the Vadu Crisului Cave and Waterfall.

Nice friendly staff, tasty food, good wine and nice atmosphere overall. We couldn't pay by card, which was a bit unconfortable, but had a great evening there. The waitress and the bartender, both very nice and friendly people.
Employees (especially the ones from the restaurant) need a hospitality course. Customer service is poor. Sat 45 minutes at the table waiting for the breakfast. AC in the room didn't work. Electric windows with no instructions on how to actually use them. Very hot in the room. Will definitely not stay at this hotel anymore. Too pricey for the offered conditions.

Awful and unhelpful waitresses, too busy chatting and smoking instead of taking our order (we had mentioned we had a train to catch so we wanted to pay quickly). I ended up marching up to pay, but I was subsequently ignored because I do not speak Romanian. First time I do not leave a tip in Romania.
I have only been to the restaurant and I must say the food was amazing!! Staff were fast and friendly even though it was very busy, so I give them credits for that. Also the atmosphere was nice.

Locatia este superbă. Apartamentul este facut cu foarte mult gust. E facuta investitie de calitate. Terasa face toti banii. Cam înghesuită zona, dar noi am fost in extrasezon si nu ne a prea afectat aglomerația ci mai degraba utilajele care lucrau la drumurile din zona. Recomand cu incredere si sigur voi mai reveni.

They do not care about their customers. At dinner I wanted to order some soup from Menu (they had like 6 types) but they did not want to serve me as they stop serving soups at 17.00. Having some dental problems I have insisted. They told me that a soups have been thrown at garbage. Which was not true. I could not leave as I had already order a bottle of wine. Really bad experience.
