Beautiful 1940 chirch, build in 14s architecture. New, splendid frescoes and icons. Works in progress, but it is open. Easy to find, climb the hill behind the post office on Parliament sq. Tram terminus. Free entrance. Candles outside.
Visiting this historic city was a journey back in time. The well-preserved architecture and fascinating museums make it a must-visit for history buffs
Best place to chill and sit in-front of the sun,,
You can see the whole city from an amazing point near the castle..
The entrance is free.

This is the biggest cathedral in the Balkan. The view inside is stunning. You might see people praying; so you should be respectful and not make loud noise. It feels peaceful being inside the cathedral.

Outside of the cathedral is a park with fountains. I think it’s definitely a must see in Belgrade

A good place to relax with a brain teaser.
Nailed it, indeed.
It is one of the most beautiful churches in Belgrade and pretty much walkable if your hotel is in the city center. You feel at peace the minute you enter. If you're new, spend some moments in silence, and there are sheets of paper where you can write your petitions. Have a blessed trip.
Magnificent building
Nothing interesting inside
They charge money for taking pictures inside, but there is nothing to photograph there.
The view of this cathedral is stunning - when you get inside you feel so tiny

There is an underground level - you should see it too - this area is very vivid and picturesque and these frescoes tell about the history of Serbia and history of faith in Serbia

I like the surrounding area of this cathedral - a nice park with fountain in the central square
An amazing spot where you can have a bird's-eye view of Novi Sad and the Danube River. Inside the fortress, there's a museum, cafes, and restaurants. Lovebirds have hung padlocks with their names on the railing of the observation terrace. The garden features some beautiful sculptures. You definitely should visit. I recommend coming at sunset.
The museum has so much potential, especially for interactive games and attractions but the space is so much limited. It is still worth a visit but it could be much better if they had more space. There are guided tours every one hour so check their website before you go. They have tours in English and Serbian and some of them are full. Also, they accept only Serbian cash!
The museum is interesting but small. Limited people are admitted on the hour for a 45 minute program. Reservations are not accepted so arriving early is likely necessary. The program starts with a film, followed by demonstrations with a huge Tesla Coil lighting long bulbs we held. Then, with a small coil, I elected to feel the shock. (Note that only local currency is accepted for admission.)

Thank this beautiful place for all the concerts it hosts!
An amazing Serbian Orthodox Church that is a must visit. I did not know about the catacombs below, so be sure to check that out if you go. Please be thoughtful and wear pants. No one bothers if you don't, but it is the national church of Serbia, so if you can, you should. The park around the church is a nice place to relax for a bit before you continue your tour.
Nice view of Novi Sad and surroundings. For the customers of Terasa, there is a staircase leading from their terrace dinning area directly to the clock. Parking is a nightmare during mealtimes.
Church was closed on Sat afternoon but I managed to snap some photos of the interior.
Beautiful church in Belgrade located in the middle of a park. The serenity inside calms your heart and many worshippers are sitting in silence praying and contemplating.

A must do for visitors to Belgrade.
Center point of the city, great touristic attraction! I was just disappointed that we couldn't go inside.
A beautiful Orthodox Catholic Church. The area also has a wonderful park for relaxation. The church itself has wonderful relics and beautiful artwork. It is a must visit while you are in Belgrade. It was built in the Serbo-Byzantine style by the Krstić brothers, completed in 1940, on the site of a previous church dating to 1835. It is one of the largest churches in the country.

A very nice museum dedicated to Nikola Tesla. Mandatory guided tour takes 1h. There is an English and Serbian version. You can see many personal belongings of Nikola Tesla including his shoes. Entry ticket costs 450 RSD. The staff is friendly and helpful. Don't be late otherwise you will want another tour.

A small nation made something big, although briefly. That feeling of greatness that passed and nostalgia(if you are a bit older) is so strong here. Accepting one's heritage is a thing to see. Beautiful.
Even if you disagree with the politics of the time, etc, Tito is a part of history and heritage not only to Serbia but to the whole region.

The fortress is located in the park and it is really very convenient because you can take your time to enjoy the beautiful views of the river and the city. There are outdoor cafes inside the park for snacks.
The territory inside the fortress walls is divided into two parts - the Lower and Upper City, each of which is literally crammed with monuments: here are the ruins of a Roman settlement, and the remains of a Byzantine castle, and a reminder of the true purpose of the fortress - artillery platforms. The Military Museum was founded on the territory of the Belgrade landmark, numerous exhibits of which represent different types of weapons from medieval catapults, crossbows and cannonballs to modern missiles and bombs used by NATO.

I liked this small but impressive Tesla museum.
That would be great if you could buy the tickets online, but it’s not possible. Also, they don’t accept any other currencies and debit or credit cards, except Serbian dinar. Bring cash with you.
Also, it has a waiting people always in the entrance and you should wait for sure.

My visit to the Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade was an absolute delight and a journey into the mind of one of history’s greatest inventors. Here’s why this museum is a must-visit:

From the moment I stepped into the museum, I was drawn into the world of Nikola Tesla. The museum’s design, with its vintage charm and scientific ambiance, pays a fitting tribute to the brilliant inventor.

The exhibits are a treasure trove of Tesla’s inventions, documents, and personal belongings. Seeing his original notebooks, early inventions, and iconic Tesla coils up close was an experience that left me in awe. The museum’s collection is comprehensive, offering a deep insight into the life and work of this visionary scientist.

The guided tour was informative and engaging. The passionate and knowledgeable guides shared anecdotes and stories about Tesla’s life, his pioneering experiments, and his enduring legacy. They made the complex world of electricity and innovation accessible and fascinating for visitors of all backgrounds.

One of the highlights of the museum is the demonstration of Tesla coils in action. Witnessing the crackling electrical displays and the power of wireless transmission as envisioned by Tesla himself was both educational and exhilarating.

The museum’s emphasis on Tesla’s humanitarian ideals and his dream of free energy for all humanity adds depth to the experience. It’s a reminder of his vision for a better world through science and innovation.

The gift shop at the museum offers a variety of Tesla-related merchandise, making it a great place to find unique souvenirs and mementos.

In conclusion, the Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade is a true gem for anyone interested in science, innovation, or the life of a remarkable inventor. It’s a place where the past and future converge, and where you can gain a deep appreciation for the genius of Nikola Tesla. I left the museum inspired and with a profound admiration for his contributions to humanity.

Overall, my visit to the Nikola Tesla Museum was an enlightening and enriching experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Belgrade.

Amazing park within a fortress. Enjoyed walking around and taking in the views. Make sure to visit all of the gates and the church. Has something for everyone: museums, walls, dinosaurs, cafes, towers, church's, gates, wells, playgrounds, walking paths, views and parks.
Beautiful church. Really enjoyed walking around it and through it. Beautiful gold with amazing depictions of Jesus throughout the interior. Not too crowded even when I visited on a Saturday. It is open for most of the day. Make sure to also walk around the park that is right next to the church. Would recommend to anyone if they are visiting Belgrade.
Thoroughly enjoyed visiting this church. Beautiful exterior and interior. Would recommend a visit.
A great space to take a leisurely walk and look at the city from above.
There are several restaurants near the clock tower where you can eat with great views.
For a walk, wear comfortable shoes, because flip flops or high heels will be uncomfortable due to the paving stones.

It was really perfect. If you are a tourist in Belgrade you have to see here
Visited the Nikola Tesla Museum during COVID times and it was still a fascinating experience! 😷

Despite the mask situation, the museum managed to captivate us with its intriguing exhibits. It's a smaller space, but the journey through Tesla's genius mind was both educational and enjoyable. ⚡ Definitely a must-visit.

Beautiful inside. Beware of pick pockets. One of our group nearly had his wallet stolen from his pocket. Luckily someone spotted it and was carrying a walking stick to fend him off. It was 3 men who appeared to be tourists.
Even those who are not religious will find it interesting to visit. The church is quite large-scale, with detailed mosaics. There were no clothing restrictions when entering, everything could be photographed and entry was free for everyone.

We left our car just below the fortress after the bridge from Novi Sad. There seemed to be free parking. Entrance to the fortress is free. There is not much to do there, but there are a few nice places with beautiful views of the Danube river and the city of Novi Sad. The fort itself is actually huge and runs beyond this main area.

Very cool place. There is so much greenery and comfortable space in the park that everyone can find their place, either on a bench or on the grass. In the middle of the park there is also a pond with ducks and turtles. Unfortunately, it seems that this water is not kept very clean by the locals. But otherwise, it's a perfect place for a walk, a picnic, or just hanging out.
After a long day walking under the hit this was the perfect start for our evening. We got dressed up and went to see the sunset. Didn’t get too much of a view but as the night falls the view seems magical. Be careful with the taxi drivers. We had to walk a bit to get back into town.

The house of flowers is really unique and well maintained, but the museum contains quite worthless things because the most valuable ones were stolen by the politicians who came to power after Tito's death.
Really nice experience. Beautiful nature!
It contains a lot of corners where you can set a barbecue, hang out with family and friends, bring a kids etc.
Ecology tax is 300din which you will pay mostly on weekends.
Here you can find beautiful lakes, churches, cool places for a coffee or beer and similar.
Magnificent! The Temple of Saint Sava is grand, well decorated and a true masterpiece. It’s hard to understand just how big it is until your standing in front of it. The interior is beautifully decorated and the architecture is beautiful! Recommend checking this Temple out and make sure to really appreciate all the detail.
wonderful experience, free to enter, can walk around freely and see so many sites. Roman well was 170 pp and worth it! tower was 100 and not worth it, you get a better view from the victor monument. people are friendly, easy to walk around. do not use the trolley, it’s just a ride around the park without narration.

Very neatly organised exhibit with loads to see for any history and culture lover.
Nice museum of the history of Nicola Tesla. Every hour a small tour is given to max 60 people. A small exhibition, a video and some interactive experiments with the famous Tesla Coil. Also fun for children. If you have a group of 10 or more tickets are cheaper but you have to book tickets in advance. Tickets at the door can only be payed in (local) cash.

This a great place for a long walk through history, comfortable shoes, water and a picnic would be ideal. Perfect place for a panoramic view of Belgrade, don’t miss the military museum.
Brilliant museum! A comprehensive tour of history of the area and human activity since the year dot ! Really well presented exhibits in chronological order. Leave yourself about three hours to study everything. I had to leave after two and a half hours to catch the train back to Belgrade - so plan carefully if you want to make the most of the information and enjoy the artifacts. A little bit of everything but with enough detail to learn from. Contrary to what other reviewers have said there must have been enough information in English, certainly with 19th and 20th century displays there were English flyers to read, the curator also introduced himself - probably thinking we had got lost or locked ourselves in a cupboard as we took so long to study the artifacts - and talked to us in English and to my wife in Serbian. Yes, my criticism of all Serbian museums is there isn't enough books and literature to buy at the museum shop in English, as most Europeans will have this as their second or third language. (Tesla's Museum in Belgrade is another example of overbooked tours for English speakers, but no printed material at all to buy in the shop- a marketing nightmare and lost income from tourists, who will spend more) . The best displays for me? . .. neolithic stone tools (rivalling the British Museum). .. Roman display and helmets (a world first in quality and quantity) even though I live near the old Roman City of Exeter, England, where we are all 'Romaned-out' . .. Traditional costumes, which seem much more vividly displayed than in the basement of the Belgrade Museum . . and of course the traditional pre-war farming implements. Out of ten, I would award this museum twelve points in a Eurocontest. . . . and of course I will return, if only for that missing half hour needed to walk down the traditional 'Serbian Street'. Many thanks to the team who put these exhibits together.
One of the most important places in the city. Although it is a Christian Catholic cathedral, it still shows the influence of the Christian Orthodox style and it is stunning.

Veri interesting exposition. The core of the mixed culture of Vojvodina is represented
Entrance is allowed for donation if security is in good mood. Be polite and friendly to get in, please. Usually the entrance is closed, so you need to ask.
Visited Muzej Vojvodine, to go back in the history. Learned so much about the Serbian history. Got to know about the wheat variety grown here and its evolution. Must visit.
Beautiful and historic place to visit. If you have time, visit the surrounding areas. There are numerous fig trees and delicious mulberry trees scattered through the fortress if you can find them. In times of warfare, the above ground fortress and it's extensive underground catacombs were strategically designed, giving the defenders a superior advantage.

Excellent! The museum is small but enough for learning about him. They organize a tour with fixed price for tourists every hour. We were there around 10.30 am and did not wait so much to get in. They don’t accept credit card so better to go there with Serbian dinar. Since there are 50 people in the group, better to be in front to listen better the guide. Overall, definitely worth the visit!
Most romantic and iconic spot for taking pictures, expecialy in sunset...

This is a great place to see - inside and around you can admire a lot of historical items - tanks, canons, swards and other types of arms from old times, clothes, glasses and a lot of other objects. The fortress is impressive and the view is really great. This is a place where I'd love to return.
If you see my dog, please follow the information on the photo. Loads of easy walks, bit muddy on the trials, with a few nettles and don't forget your mozzie spray. Bring some water and a hat. Powerful monument to go look see.
Very nice view. I'd recommend using the stairs to go up and live the full experience.

Also, there's a gallery in the top where you can buy shirts related to Novi Sad. Heads up: the shirts are a little bit expensive and they only accept cash.

Beautiful park with an artificial lake in the middle. You can hear the frogs, and see the ducks swimming. Perfect to sit, chill, read a book and enjoy a great time.
A super pretty church. It’s a Serbian Orthodox Church located in the Tašmajdan park in Belgrade. The church has three altars. There is one mosaic which depicts the Annunciation.
Absolutely wonderful place to visit. You can embrace the sublime ambience there and also learn about history of Yugoslavia.

Guards demand money or no entry. It was sketchy and felt unsafe and not legit. We left. Not sure if this is usual or a scam but they ened a more formal ticket entry if it is necessary. Outside has some nice info about the building itself.
Very pretty place to take selfies
This synagogue is just awesome. It's beautiful. There was some orchestra having a rehearsal when I entered. Jews of Serbia definitely need more that kind of places.

Perfect place for taking a photo 😀
A wonderful sacred place in the heart of Novi Sad. Worth visiting if you wish to see a landmark of the downtown and are a believer.
The Name of Mary Catholic Church in Novi Sad is a magnificent structure that combines both historical and religious significance. This awe-inspiring church is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the city and a must-visit for anyone interested in religious architecture and history.

The church's most striking feature is its beautiful facade, which boasts an intricate blend of Gothic and Baroque styles. The intricate details and ornate decorations of the exterior set the tone for the grandeur that awaits inside.

Stepping inside, visitors are immediately greeted by the soaring vaulted ceilings and beautiful stained-glass windows that bathe the interior in a warm, colorful glow. The church's interior is richly decorated with beautiful frescoes and ornate sculptures that highlight the skill of the artists who created them.

One of the most impressive features of the church is its impressive altar, which serves as the centerpiece of the interior. The intricate details of the altar and the beautiful artwork that adorns it make it a true masterpiece of religious art.

Aside from its aesthetic appeal, the Name of Mary Catholic Church also holds a significant place in the history of Novi Sad. It has served as a religious and cultural center for the city's Catholic community for over 300 years and has survived many trials and tribulations throughout that time.

One of the highlights of Dunavski Park is its well-maintained pathways, which are perfect for a leisurely stroll or a brisk jog. The park's winding paths also make it an ideal location for a romantic walk with a loved one, or for a family outing with children.

Another standout feature of Dunavski Park is its numerous benches and seating areas, which are strategically placed throughout the park. These spots provide a perfect opportunity to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, watch the wildlife, or simply people-watch.

The park also features a number of beautiful fountains and sculptures that add to its aesthetic appeal. Visitors can relax by the water's edge or take in the stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

Overall, Dunavski Park is a wonderful destination for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing day in the great outdoors. Its serene atmosphere, stunning natural beauty, and wealth of recreational opportunities make it a true gem of Novi Sad.

Nearly didn’t go here, thankfully I decided to. Really interesting and varied collection, I loved the Boško Petrović exhibition. The permanent collection was well presented, and there was plenty of interpretation in English. Worth a visit.
It's a beautiful park by the banks of Danube in Novi Sad. The park has various areas to enjoy your time outdoors. During winters, there's a Christmas Market and Ice Rink for skiing. The park is well maintained, has a little pond with lots of ducks and is perfect for a stroll or a day out in the sun. There's also a lovely Café at the entrance.

It is an art and natural history museum in Novi Sad. The collections are beautiful and rich. As you know, once upon a time this region was controlled by Austria Hungarians and it was the border with the Ottoman Empire. Today there are still differences between northern and central Serbia. You can see the difference even in their traditions clothes. If you come to visit this beautiful city, add this museum to your list. Entrance is 200 Serbian dinar per person.

Note: For the ones criticizing the lack of English translation;
There is no translation on the walls. In each room, there are some brochures somewhere in the room. Find that and match the titles with each brochure. On the walls, titles are translated.
Beautiful church in a wonderful location. Lots of tourists flock this area. Amazing place. The streets are lighted with Christmas mood.

In 1891, the city council made a decision to demolish the old church, and to build a new one on the samelocation. Hungarian architect György Molnár designed the church in 1892 for free. The old church wasdemolished the same year, and the new one started. The main construction was finished in November1893.The 72-meters high bell-tower with the golden cross was finished in October 1894
The church is a three-nave building, with neo-gothic arches. There are twenty stained glasses depicting saintsand church fathers. The church has mechanical pipe organ with 24 registers.
The church has four altars. The main one in the apse is made of the carved wood from Tyrol, the windows withstained glass from Budapest and the roof tiles were made of Zsolnay ceramics. The church has fourconfessionals and a marble baptistry. It is the tallest church in Bačka region and dominates the city center ofNovi Sad.

Its a place praising dictator, which made us feel uncomfortable to say the least. Museum itself is very disorganised and has bad layout. No clear signs. Felt like all artefacts were dumped in one place.
Very educative museum. Recommend! You get to see parts and a bit of an atmosphere of communism times, especially when Tito died

Kochasz słusznie miniony ustrój i socrealizm? To koniecznie odwiedź to mauzoleum jedynego wodza Jugosławii. Widać, że pamięć o Broz -Tito jest ważną częścią nie tylko serbskiej historii, ale to nie krypta z Wawelu (jak dla Lecha). To też muzeum nostalgii za dużym, wspólnym krajem wszystkich południowych Słowian.

As a New York jew, I had complicated feelings. A bit sad this is no longer used for services BUT so happy that Serbia and Novi Sad have decided to maintain it. As a concert venue, this may very well be one of my favorite places I've ever seen a concert (it helped that the musicians were fantastic). The acoustics were exceptional. I look forward to visiting again.

Awesome! Serbia is beautiful
The historical and oldest part of the city. A large fortress with many famous gates. A must-see for every tourist and even better if you have an expert guide with you. The park also includes a Zoo, a Dino park, sports fields, children's playgrounds, restaurants, churches... The fortress offers a beautiful view of the confluence of the Sava River and the Danube.

Small park in the center of Novi Sad. Quite a nice place to walk. There are beautiful trees and bushes, little pond and a statue.
Half the park is closed now because of some reconstruction works. There is little shade, most benches are in the sun except for one alley. No children’s playgrounds are available, keep it in mind if you want to go with kids, they might feel bored.
For those who want to grab a bite there is a little cafeteria.
What synagogues miss in terms of murals paintings, they make up for with architecture and stained glass windows. The Novi Sad Synagogue is no exception and charms you with its conventional good-looks. There are no tickets but you’re encouraged to make a donation depending on the size of your group, which we readily did.
I absolutely adore this church! I love gothic style and could spend a whole day just sitting at the square admiring and contemplating it! It doesn't have to be religious, one can just enjoy and admire the beauty of the arhitecture and ambient. Inside is also gorgeous. Although I was on a short vacation, I spent most of my time in the sqaure here, looking up.
One of my favourite places in Beograd is Ada Lake or popular name "Beograd's Sea. Except swimming, you can do a lot of things, walking, sports, there are mini trains going around the lake. There is a water skiing, even a nudist part. And of course a lot of cafés and restaurants. You can enjoy there during the day or in the evening. Worth a visit!
Beautiful National Park of Serbia. Not high mountain, but very spreaded. With a lot of hiking trails, forests' paths. It is wine region, with 16 monasteries from medieval time. You can go to the different outdoor activities there or just go to sightseeing of all places across Fruška Gora.
Fruška Gora is a good place to relax, walk and run away from everyday reality. There are marked walking paths for us who are not going that often or don't have a guide.
If you like history and culture, you can visit some of the many monasteries. If you like to enjoy food, there are nice places to eat local food.
Surprisingly amazing museum. Has a great ethnographic collection dating back from the Neolithic. The collection has as key elements three fully decorated Roman helmets but the other elements like dresses, books and tools are also really good.
Fruska gora is close to Novi Sad, easiest way to get to trails is to drive to Popovica which is around 15 minutes away from Novi Sad. Trails are marked so it is really hard to get lost 😀. Fruska gora is popular on weekends when people are getting here for some nice walks in the nature. It is also popular place to do BBQ with friends.
Perfect place to escape from city bustle, to take walk on one of many well marked rutes, where you can enjoy in wood silence, see wonderfull landscapes, lakes, monasteries of Fruska Gora.. You can find many places with traditonal Serbian food, coffee restaurants with bautiful views..
Very nice mountin with deciduous trees not far away from Belgrade and Novi Sad. There are many nice and organized paths. It is good for walking tours and bicycles as well.
