Not worth the time or effort.. Expensive for Istanbul, not just the area. Staff seem to have a massive chip on their shoulder, like it's a problem to serve customers. I'm sure as being a yabangi I've been treated differently, so watch out. Any business that doesn't advertise prices should be avoided in Istanbul.

BUT they do not accept credit card and they informed us last minute after we ordered and had dinner. Also the total price was higher than what we actually ordered.

I’ve had lots of kebabs in my life but these are the BEST kebabs I’ve ever had. The Adana kebabs they have, lifestyle melt in your mouth. That’s how good they are. I’ve been here multiple times and the quality of the kebaps has upheld every single time. I simply love them! A must try if you enjoy meat. My only rec is bring cash because they don’t accept card payments. The interior is quite quirky too with a strong vintage vibe. I think this is Istanbul’s best hidden gem.
To be honest, this restaurant is expensive. Looking at the menu and atmosphere, it is not a luxurious restaurant, so it is difficult to make a good impression on travelers with tight pockets. In particular, reading other reviews, it seems like it wasn't expensive before. However, I can say this for sure. "It's really delicious!!" And very friendly. In particular, I initially ordered 2 dishes, the wairess (or owner? I don't know.) who was taking the order said it was too much and advised me to order less. And plenty food was left!

I invited my Turkish friend to the restaurant and I asked about his opinion on how authentic the kebab is and he tried to be polite and said we could have had better. I personally didn’t like the taste of the food at all compared to other restaurants but I was hungry so I had to eat. Eventually, you have to pay cash as they don’t accept debit or credit cards which makes a problem if you are not ready.
We ordered soup, menemen and fresh juices. Everything was delicious, and very reasonably priced. We came back the next day and ordered the same things! They also gave us free tea. The staff are very kind too.
Everything was perfect until one of the servers licked the plate to clean it and then he placed the doner on top of the plate. When I informed the guy that took our order he promptly changed our doner and most likely brought to us a discounted check but come on, hygiene is important. Other than that, the food was delicious and the people there friendly.
The food tastes good! I had the lamb kebab and it was delicious, however the portion is so small for what you pay (plus one of the meat chunks was just all fat)!! It needed more meat, more rice, more pita. I get that it's a tourist area, but the price value was far off. I left still hungry 🥲
We came here because we were looking for Seafood Pasta, lo and behold it was fantastic and I ordered the mix grill and it was delicious.

I can only recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious & the staff is amazing, we really enjoyed talking with Omar, he took such good care of us. We came here 3 times and every time we got some complimentary food & drinks which is sooo nice! Thank you so much guys, can't wait to be back one day!

Lovely food and really caring personnel. Felt like they went out of their way to make our night a memorable night. My partner is gluten free and they were more than accommodating with all our needs. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was really terrible. The chicken was just dried. They supposed to be bulgur but they just put rice and salad with no sauce....not tasty at all.

In the short time we spent in Cappadocia we visited this restaurant twice, and everything was great. Very delicious kebab, we tried pistachio, Adana, and kofte kebabs, I highly recommend the first two, and I also recommend their hummus with kebab. The balloon bread they provide besides the lavash bread is super! We also tried the pumpkin dessert since pumpkin is one of the best products in this area and it was super interesting! Both fresh and cooked honestly I don't know how to explain it, must try!

The food, atmosphere, and staff are amazing! The quantities are large - you will definitely leave full and happy! The staff are attentive, they bring more bread over when you’re close to finishing, and it’s in a bustling area bringing good vibes. Would recommend!

However, 10 minutes later while I was eating the main dish they came and told us: “sir.. you ate this thing but it wasn’t yours.. it was for the next table.. what do we do?” What are you expecting me to answer?.. i said I thought it’s complementary, they said it was not.. alright, I offered to pay for it, they said “oh, really? Ok thank you!”.. as if that’s what they were waiting for, instead of admitting the mistake.
However, the pistachio kebap and the lentil soup were delicious, hence the stars.

Here we had the best lentil soup of our vacation :) by far!
The rest of the food was also really good, with the chicken shish being perfectly roasted and tasty, and we had a few complimentary starters, one of which had roasted vegetables and was reaaaally good!
The service wasn’t that friendly (they were more friendly to groups, but to us they never even smiled..), but it was quick at least.

We came because of the reviews, wanted some authentic turkish food. Asked for some recommendations and the waiter kept pointing to the most expensive option and saying its the best. We ordered the "meat" platter and it was 60% Friess and pita as you can see, it was semi warm microwave

Fantastic place with the loveliest staffs here, Azim is so friendly helping us with his amazing choice of chicken signature dish here. It’s Something I haven’t done in my life. And Can never forget this guy name Metin who is talented with his amazing photography skill that took a video for us not just that he also made a special video for us. Definitely love the food experience here and feel very nice sitting in this place. The vibe is amazing I’d recommend to try to experience in this place. Don’t miss!!! ❤️

We had very delicious food. Traditional Turkish specialities. Very warm service. But not alcohol. Metin served us very kindly!
Can’t say we enjoyed eating here. We ordered the lamb and it came out over cooked and dry. This is also the only restaurant in all of Turkey that doesn’t provide side dishes with your mains. The table beside us received their Testi Chicken raw. Finally after paying cash for my over priced meal. I had to ask for my change. Don’t be fooled by the flashy fire outside. I’d recommend you check out somewhere else before dining here.
A hole in the wall that appears to get good reviews but the food tastes like somebody rolled it around in the dirt on the street and then when you go to pay, notwithstanding the fact that there's a Visa and MasterCard sign right on the door, they tell you cash only. And good luck finding the nearest ATM!

Chicken doner is juicy and tender! Gozleme is not quite the same as I like, not a classic version, but in puff pastry, but really tasty.

If you are in Istanbul. A must try. The food is amazing. The atmosphere is great. They serve you on a big metal platter with different condiments along with your choice of protein.
Best way to eat: Grab a piece of the flat bread, then grab a skewer(it will be hot so be careful) take the meat off of the skewer with the help of the bread in hand. Then put in your fav condiments, roll it up and enjoy.
There is a culture that guests put their currency on the wall and leave hand written notes, its an experience to dine here.

We can into this place looking for something authentic and not overpriced. This place gave us exactly that. We ordered the shared meat platter as well as the minced meat pita. Both were very good with excellent flavors. The shop owner was very kind and talked with us most of the time offering insight about Turkey and what places were nice. We finished our meal with some Turkish Tea which tasted great.
Wow what a great place to eat! We've been traveling around Turkiye for a month and had the best Yaprak Sarma and meat casserole we've tried yet. The meat was so tender! The owner is super friendly and gives great service. He also speaks English very well. We returned for a second night and got the pottery kebab mixed meat...what a delight!! Highly recommended!

Excellent lunch after my workout at the Goreme Fitness Centre across the street. Chicken breast was tender and very well seasoned. So was the rice. Slightly expensive but I don’t mind paying for the quality. I also had my first Salep - made from the tubers of orchids which was incredibly creamy and sweet. Granted, the waiter at the entrance can be a little pushy in getting customers, but service inside the restaurant was warm and polite.

Had the most incredible dining experience with a show here. The food was delicious and the ‘Crazy Chef of Cappadocia’ put on a great show when we ordered the Testi Kebab. Would definitely recommend to come here on your next trip to Cappadocia !

We ordered their special, lamb chops on pottery. It tasted very good. The lamb was soft and the sauce was very good for bread. The service was also good. Thank Adnan for serving us.

Great little place with a lot of potential! Its a small local restaurant, but their food it cooked on the spot, its fresh and delicious! Also, the prices are as they should be and not raised for tourists, so I thank them for that! I think this little place is underrated and its not fair that othe restaurants ( Al Diwan restaurant for example) take food from them and resell it to their customers for double the price!
Gemlik içindeki en iyi pide lahmacun salonu. Ürünler çok büyük oranla lezzetli. Özellikle mekanda yemeyi tavsiye ederim. Kalite yine çok büyük oranla yüksek ve standart. Fiyat konusunda lezzet, görsel ve kalite göz önünde bulundurduğumda çok makul. Umarım aynı çizgide devam eder. Kesinlikle tavsiye ederim.

Gittiğimizde oturacağımız masa kirliydi bir süre bekledik ancak temizlenmeyince kendimiz temizledik. Bunu görmelerine rağmen bir bezle silelim vs demediler. Lahmacun fırından yeni çıkmasına rağmen nasıl oluyorsa soğuğa yakın geldi. Getirdikleri salatada yağ vs hiç birşey yoktu. Kendimiz de ekleyemedik masada yağ vs olmadiği için. Yedikten kısa süre sonra baş ağrısı başladı. Akşam da yine baş ağrısı ve kusma ile geçti malesef. Açıkçası ben önermem. Puanına bakıp gitmiştik pişman olduk.

While roaming around on istiklal street and exploring I felt hungry and wanted to try something local. After taking a look at few restaurants decided to eat at this one . Ordered Cop sis and Adana kebab, both the orders had wheat, onions, reddish, carrot, pita bread, a big grilled green chilli and baked tomato on the side, replaced wheat with white rice for one dish to make it different. Both the items were tasty and freshly cooked!

Ate here last night and the food and service was simply fantastic. The boy and I had peppered fillet steak which was amazing. The chips were awesome and I could not finish it all. The wife had chicken kebab which arrived hanging and again was perfectly cooked. Service was great. Would highly recommend

Excellent first class Resturant Yurda and the boys go above and beyond to make your visit there special and the food is exceptional can't recommend here highly enough x
