I don't recommend family or caregivers to utilize Alvita Home Care for any services. I beg you do not put your loved ones with this agency.. They are disguised to look like a real company but in fact they are not. It is my belief that they are operating as a shell company to look legit. Their customer service is nearly non-existent.
They have a call center located in the Philippines and the chance of you speaking with a coordinator or a worker based in NY is zero. On top of that the recruiter, Jenni, is unprofessional. I have dealt with home care agencies for the last 20 years and this company, Alvita home care has massive red flags. Please avoid at all costs!!! Good luck everyone!!!

In order to rate u I had to click a star my experience was so unprofessional I wouldn't even rate this company!! To tell someone they didn't seem to promising knowing my paperwork was sent is very unprofessional and they don't have a list of caregivers either ! They are very rude for being in healthcare

If someone suggests Maxim, run and hide. They are an absolutely terrible service. They have no aides, my wife has maybe had at best 50% of the time she is allocated. Be prepared to pay for an private aide if you contract with this company.

We could not have asked for better care for my FIL in NJ after ending our contract with a nightmare aide service. We worked to coordinate everything with Kate Feola and she was phenomenal. The communication was fantastic, and such a refreshing change. Onasis was one of our main aides and he was wonderful with my FIL. I'd definitely recommend their services!

I have worked with Alliance years back, and I came back again to work with them, because they are one of the best agency that I know!! Staffs are very friendly. They are always there when ever you need someone to reach out or talk to. If you are a home care aide? This is a place for you to work. My coordinators are excellent. Alvita care provides good care to their patients when and wherever they are. They also have good trained coordinators and care givers as well. Working with Alvita care, gave m e more experience. NANA BROOKMAN although I don't know her in-person but she's a great and a good coordinator who does her job professionally.

Alvita Care gave us peace of mind when we needed to find a wound care nurse quickly for our elderly father's return from the emergency room. Both the administrators and the nursing team were clear and helpful communicators. We are especially grateful to the nurses for being so patient with our father. This was an expensive endeavor, so we appreciated their high level of professionalism and dependability. We recommend them wholeheartedly and would use them again.

Alliance Home care is Amazing. I want to first say that the staff here is impeccable. Marie Helene is one of the most classiest and heart warming individuals I ever met. She interviewed me and I admired her professionalism.Laura at the front desk is always helpful courteous and professional. Jennifer the compliance Manager helped me with all compliance documents which allowed me to work She demonstrated great professionalism and communication skills.Wendy who led my Orientation was very dynamic and very upbeat her expertise was fantastic professional educational and informative and Eileen the Manager in Care Coordination is very professional and efficient in getting work for you. And the Owner and President of Alliance Greg is very friendly and has an awesome agency and because of his concern for the field staff and internal staff and his clients in my opinion Alliance will be here for a very very long time I recommend this Agency to all who are looking for a decent and wonderful place to work.

Very bad experience went to orientation in with a lazy aide for 10 hours she did nothing but talk bad about the company and be on her phone the entire shadow . They made it seem like they had plenty of shifts but in reality nothing never worked a shift after shadowing .I told them I wanted per diem shifts on the weekends only they couldn't find anything after being on call for over 3 months then had me show up for in-service and I never worked any shifts .If you are a CNA go other places sent me a letter in the mail firing me because I they couldn't find me work upon hire date way in August 2021 .The nurses are rude and I wouldn't recommend this home care agency if you're looking a steady cases in rochester.

Iv been trying to get back on my mobile app to punch in and out since last weds. Iv called them every day at least 3 times and no one calls me back. So now it’s Monday April 5 2021 and I’m going to call them again! It seems like no one wants to work over there! I even had my supervisor call Friday and no one called him back either. How in I supposed to do my job and get paid?? I was doing tine sheets and they told me if I don’t do the app I won’t get paid, so here we are having Issues once again!

Most irresponsible people I have ever had to deal with. Been trying to secure payment for two of my aids from hours worked last week of January. By the time I spoke to someone that would actually correct issue, I was too frustrated to communicate issues and confused to be able to resolved anything as I didn't know there was a change in person in charge of my mother as it was never communicate and when there were errors on timesheet simply didn't pay instead of calling to get clarification when the agency was being ran smoothly. I submitted requested to change agencies and will be figuring out how much it is that my mom's two aides are supposed to be paid and slowly pay them the money out of my pocket. Luckily one of them my sister and she will hopefully cute a break. These people are a joke. When you call to get issues resolved they screen your call and depending tell you person is not available, as in EVERY single time. For the longest time when I tried to set up a new aide for my mom no one would return her call nor my calls. Never have I ever in my live been so disappointed at any company. I am glad that I have the people I have taking care of my mom because someone else wouldn't work for that long while still being owed 21 or 56 hours. Sunday just can't come fast enough!!!!

Personalized service and caring staff!! BrightStar was able to fulfill my mothers needs for 24/7 care within one days notice. The owner Toby answered all of my questions and calls personally, and was available to speak at all hours. I will definitely be calling them again if the need arises for my dad. So after reading the reviews I decided to call the customer hotline at the 866 #. Mayor regret! the lady on the other line was even more rude than the people from the Rochester Maxim. She was cutting me off and talking like she wanted to hang up the phone, ultimately she told me to call back after Nov 19th. Bottom line I'm transferring my dad to another company right away, been waiting for weeks to get them to send an aide to my dads who had knee surgery and can hardly move, a family member had applied for the aide position and turned the paperwork plus did the orientation some weeks back but they keep telling us that they're waiting for some approval. Every time I call to get an update it's a different person with a different excuse the most popular one is everyone is in a meeting or that person is no longer with the company. but ultimately saying that they'll have the manager (different name every time) call me back and of course that never happens in the mean time my father is suffering and because of my health I can't go to his place and help him out. Hard to believe this company is still in business!! And now I'll sit back and wait for their sweet go nowhere response...

Unprofessional employees, office does not support aides at all. When calling about payroll questions I was given attitude and told at the end of 4/5 different calls that nothing could be done for an issue with checks and taxes.
UPDATE: Maxim is now trying to deny people copies of their PPD and physicals. You are still able to get them you just have to call corporate and go back and forth. It took me over 2 weeks to get a copy.

I had a wonderful experience with this agency. I wanted a certain type of caregiver for my needs and it delivered. Our babysitter came regularly for 2 months. She was punctual, attentive, kind, diligent, supportive and relentlessly patient. I was so lucky that she helped us. My mind was at ease every day I went to work and the staff of the agency were quick to respond and answer any questions or concerns. A family member has been a client of this service for some time. After we'd gone through the initial approval service (with Lifetime), it took some time for Maxim to get things organized to have us as a client. They called once, and said they'd be calling back in a day or so to get some aides scheduled. A couple weeks went by, and I finally called them.
Eventually got set up with the first aide, who had just finished her training. She worked about a week or two, and then suddenly got replaced. Turns out she didn't pass the background check, but Maxim sent her out to us before the background check cleared. The next aide worked out ok -- she was with us for several months, very reliable in terms of being to work on time and doing job reasonably well. Then she got pulled off the case by Maxim -- she had some sort of disagreement with someone in the office, and they decided to "discipline" her by pulling her off our case. Well, we were the ones that suffered! They sent a different aide every day for a week or more, which was highly disruptive, because I had to take time off to train them in, and then the next day there would be a different aide who needed training in.
For the past couple months we've been in a bit of a flux with aides, and the office personnel at Maxim are going through a lot of changes (several fired, from what I hear). There are three extremely competent personnel in the office (Ethan, who I believe is the manager, Zieda, and Chelsea), and there's another woman (Wanda) who is an absolute nightmare to try to communicate with. She seems to have either severe hearing loss or low cognitive level or perhaps on drugs or something, but she gets everything completely botched -- it takes 5 minutes just to give her a simple phone number, and it's just really stressful to try to give her a very simple message to pass on. For instance, today, our aide didn't show up, but she couldn't seem to understand the situation. She hung up, and then (20 minutes later) tries to reach the aide, but calls me instead. I kept telling her who I was, and she kept asking for the aide. Then she called the client's father to ask if he could pick up the 3 PM shift (and we didn't even have a 3PM shift, and why in the world is she calling a client's father to see if he can work a shift??? The woman is bizarre!!)
So, hopefully things will get sorted out down there, and they'll keep the competent people and ditch Wanda. We're looking around at this time for another agency.
