Was told they don’t take trades after 8 cause it “takes too long” even though it was only 4 minutes after 8. And I have done trades after 8 before so this is either a new policy that isn’t stated anywhere to be seen or the workers are liars. Thanks for wasting my time game xchange.

Inviting, knowledgeable staff, good selection of current mags and plenty of trades, with a kids section and they host plenty of in-store events. No back issues really, but they don't have the space for them.
I'm a 90's kid who got back into comic books now that I have my own kids. I was glad I found the best comic book store on Long Island. Especially, for someone growing up and getting their comics at Genovese in College Point when we didn't have any comic book stores.
They run several events throughout the year, have their own social media platforms to keep you informed, and can even give you advice on where to go locally to find a good spot to eat (I mean, which Comic Book Store does that?).
All in all the best part at this store is that they keep a "pull list" for you to pick up your comics all at once at your convenience at the end of the month... So no "Comic Book's Unavailable" or "I have no clue about what you're talking about" like their competition that is poorly mismanaged or just plain rude.
One final advice, next time you're there get a gift card for one of your friends you've grown up with to pay it forward. Win-win for everyone!

The exchange still has horrible prices the covid tax died down for instance Metroid prime on GameCube is worth 20 bucks they want 40 for it Pac-Man world is 15 bucks they want $25 for it legend of Zelda wind waker is 75 bucks they want 100 for it. I'm pretty sure their paper Mario was 120 bucks it's worth half of that now because of the remake at 60 bucks. Just don't waste your time here even VHS tapes are overpriced try iron blast games in Washington PA instead they have more complete in box stuff and better prices.

I absolutely love this place. Its the only place near me that sells both comics and figures. I will admit, I go here mostly for the figures as I’ve never been much of a comic fan, although I can tell you that they have a wide selection and for those who are comic fans, you will not be disappointed. As for their figure selection, they have a wide selection of Funko’s, Star Wars (both of the Vintage Collection, Black Series, and others) and the more typical DC and Marvel figures. As you can probably tell, I go mostly for the Star Wars figures but from what I can tell, they have a wide selection of figures regardless of franchise. Some can be quite pricey but that is typical of any figures and most are reasonably priced. The staff are also extremely nice and are willing to help you look for anything in particular or any questions you may have
Huge inventory, friendly staff, and good prices. I always appreciate how well organized everything is, making that one niche item you’re looking for super easy to find. The selection of used and new games is great, easily my go-to game store now.
Always love visiting here. It’s different every time. We also take people here who are visiting from out of town and they always comment at how unique it is.
We bought a $100 mystery box from them at a convention that they said would have at least $150 worth of items in it. Clearly was not the case, very disappointing. I’m not sure even $75 of value was in it. Be careful when buying mystery boxes!

We came in looking to see if our comics were worth getting graded and worth selling . We met with Anthony who was extremely knowledgeable and 100% honest. We’re definitely coming back.
Cute space with very friendly and helpful staff. They have a small Yugioh selection (3 TCG sets), as well as Pokemon and MTG.

I brought in a few things to sell at the Dormont store. Although they could have done way better, it was actually more than I thought that they would offer. I brought some things to the South Side store last year and they came back with such a low offer that I thought they were joking. I didn't realize that the Dormont Exchange was the same company until I got to the store in Dormont. As such, I really wasn't't expecting much this time. Surprisingly, they were a bit more reasonable. I definitely recommend going to the Dormont location if you are looking to sell and do yourself a favor and just steer clear of their store on the South side.
Great comic book shop. Two things really stand out here--a small section oriented to younger readers and a back section of indie comix, small press labors of love that you're not likely to find in too many places. A few boxes of older comics are here, but mostly it's current issues and graphic novels. Some popular manga available as well. Kid friendly, fun to browse/shop.
Lots of options for all tastes in Comics, Manga, games, etc. for all ages and interests. Had a good variety of collected editions from major publishers, and they had all the newest comics on the rack to buy. Was disappointed with their back issue selection however, and was confused over the pricing on them. Not much different in size than Big Planet Comics six minutes away, which seems to cater more to comic fans than the more broad selection at Fantom
I needed to find games and another controller for a SNES. The Exchange had everything I needed. Dylan was very helpful and gave me recommendations for some games that I am already enjoying. Great service and will return.
Great selection of manga, kpop and all things geeky. Comics are in the back, mostly trades and omnibuses.

This place was a trip down memory lane that had so many cool things. You could easily spend a day here and not see it all .Everything you can think of was here stop by and get lost in the past present and future.

Staff is extremely helpful and courteous. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is lack of selection, in terms of music CDs. One of the smaller Exchanges I've been in.
The staff is nice and they have cool stock, however the process to trade things in takes far too long and the trade price they’re offering is flat out insulting. Their main competitor gives a significant amount more for modern consoles and games.

Chris and Kevin did an awesome job handling my transaction today. They handled the items I was trading in with great care. Kevin even took the time to look up a couple other items that I had with me. Thanks to him, I’ll definitely be selling that original RE for the PS1 privately.

This was such a fun store we happened upon. My favorite part was looking at all the Barbies/dolls from yesteryear. So many memories were unlocked in this space. They sell things that are used or vintage, but never opened. Come here for a nice trip to nostalgia.
I gave it 4 stars because some of the things here were on sale, but shouldn't have been due to it falling apart.

Such an incredibly cool store that surpassed any possible expectations I could had have regarding it. So much vintage of anything you could imagine and then a whole bunch more! Staff were super friendly, selection as vast as the universe and most importantly my kids left the store happy as clams. Staff member even gave my kid a freebie Pokemon card after she purchased a single & grab box. If you're shopping the Old Market you gotta stop here no doubt.
This place is nostalgia overload, mixed with modern favorites, and vintage weirdness. They truly have a little bit of everything from Star Wars to Marvel to Looney Toons. They even had an officer Big Mac head.... the giant one from the old McDonald's playgrounds. One booth is solid Hot Wheels cars. They offer mystery and themed boxes for $3-50; you don't know what's in the box until you pay for it.
It's definitely worth walking through there. Literally, there are surprises around every corner.

I can't say enough good things about this place. I love the Exchange! Every store is just as good as every store, just some stores have better collections than others and that changes all the time anyway. As far as the staff, they are the most down to earth people who have some of the best personalities and attitudes of any group of employees I've ever met. So intelligent and helpful too!! Love love love The Exchange!!
If you're looking for a fun afternoon grab your kids(Or just yourself if you're a big kid) and go wander through this place. Toys, video games, pop culture memorabilia, they have tons of fun stuff! Even if you don't have a lot to spend go look at the goodies and get you a sticker or keychain for a few bucks. Love this place!
Man, some of these reviews are pure salt. I was in last week to bring my kids and exchange some stuff. I was given what I thought was an extremely fair price for exchanging the items. There were three guys on staff and two of them were extremely helpful. One guy seemed a little moody but he may have been having a bad day. If you don't get that you've never worked retail. My only problem was the PS1 selection was limited. That's not exactly their fault, however, because everything in the store is based on what others sell them. As I mentioned before, they paid pretty well. I'll probably go out of my way a few times a month to stop in. It's a fun store.
Theres plenty of the worlds most unique things to shop for here. Several different sections showcasing the most amazing unique products. No wait for checking out. Great service. Family friendly. Not hard to find with lots of eye popping Halloween/fall decorations outside. Would love to come back!
Inside the Smith Haven mall, Newbury Comics has a large selection of anything in pop culture.. Funko Pops, action figures, records,tapes and t-shirts. .. Stop In !! 5 Stars !!!

Really enjoyed to browsing in this shop. They got wide variety of comics and stuff. Selling Mtg and got some ineresting sales. The staff was helpfull and friendly.
I don't have a great memory for names by cashier #13689 was a delight. They commented on Mario Kart shirt along with the rest of my outfit. It was a fun conversation & funny, too. Made shopping there yesterday really nice. 🥰

Lovely, well organized store with a helpful staff. As I have only shopped there once (I was short on time), I will return to do some serious shopping. I have young grandchildren and they have an excellent selection of children's books.
Great selection of new and old albums including my favorites Taylor swift and Ariana which you had some older albums which you don’t normally get to see often. No idea why thank u next was twice the price of the other albums though
I love this store. Huge variety of things, friendly employees that don't hover over you trying to push a sales quota, giant selection of books and pop figures, etc. If you're a collector of anything under the nerdy umbrella, I think you'll love it here. They have a lot of licensed video game and anime merchandise as well, among other popular characters like Pusheen. This is one of my favourite stores at the mall, and my boyfriend loves it too.
Great store.. you walk in you feel like you are a more than just just comic book junkie. The original Newbury comics in Boston is a million times better. But for a mall store.. this is the coolest place to go and be seen if.you.are a teenager in high-school.

Amazing bookstore. Made me feel like I was in a movie. So many treasures waiting to be found! Also, found a copy of my relatives book for sale. Made me smile. :)
The owner was friendly and helped me find the books I wanted, but I'm bad at finding books, so don't bother her if you don't have to. The sci-fi section was plentiful. I wish there were Trade Paper Back comics but there was a selection of single issue comics. Everything I bought was fairly priced.
Nice shop with a great selection of current comics and graphic novels. Some nice displays and thoughtful art on the walls. Not a back issue store, per se, they had recent issues, and a solar box, but ample to enjoy and find, excellent selection for kids.

Wonderful little book store. There are categorized by genre, but after that, YOU have to go through the titles. I found that this will have titles of interest you never counted on, jumping out at you to pick up and read.

It was great, they have such a variety of things from collectibles to socks. I'd highly recommend them if you're looking for unique gift for Christmas! Especially Pop animation characters!!
Awesome little comic shop. Friendly staff, comfortable environment to look around, read a comic, and explore. If you’re in the area and looking for a space to check out some of the more recent interesting comics, definitely a good spot to check out.
The store smells like old books but for some of us that is EXACTLY what you are looking for. Since Hastings left the area book vendors are in short supply. I'm glad that we still have this last one. I have never been disappointed by the service I have received. Good books at good prices. Matt is great when you are looking for board games. If they don't have what you want they will order it. Plus there is a bookstore cat and that always makes a store better.
The best comic book store around, the guys know their stuff and will do what they can to help you find what you want. Always ready to answer questions and could not recommend a better shop around.
