We booked the Grgich wine tasting and lunch option. While the service from staff was excellent, the food and the single wine tasting left a lot to be desired, especially for the price (>$800/couple). We requested a vegan option when booking, but the options were minimal for our party. The train travels the same way there and back (therefore you don’t get the opposite view on the return trip). I would choose a private car winery tour next time and visit 3-4 wineries. The train was beautiful and the service was the highlight of the trip.
Hands down, absolutely the best dining experience in the Napa area! We went aboard the Vista Dome for dinner. The service was very informative about not only the food but the wineries in the local area. They go above and beyond in every way to make sure each of their guests are comfortable and well taken care of. The food itself was top notch in every way, from taste to presentation. They also offer a wide variety of wine tastings and tours. I highly recommend this establishment for a great experience, whether passing through Napa or visiting this wonderful town.
My husband and I treated ourselves to THE LEGACY EXPERIENCE 4 course dinner, all day train ride as part of our Anniversary celebration. We were a bit hesitant to spend $1400 on it…but it ended up being worth it. The food was very good. Kind of wish some wine was served with each dish but the wine tasting at the stops (and the train) made it up for it. You can order cocktails/wines for separate pmt. Nick was an amazing guide/entertainer during the train ride and wine tasting (he was very attentive to our needs w/out us asking for it - like having water during the tastings and just being there when needed). His sense of humor and elegance just added charm the entire experience. You guys are lucky to have him. Our server Betty was very polite, kind and attentive. Her attitude toward us as clients is what also made it special. So yes, spending so much was worth it because the staff cared about their representation of the train and its’ experience for us. And yes, we danced on the train! And once again the staff made it more fun. Keep it up! And thank you for treating us like we were that special ;) even though you do it day after day.
My friend and I went to Napa for a day trip to celebrate her birthday. The wine train was such a great experience and I can’t wait to go back again! We did the afternoon tea and it honestly had us so full we canceled our dinner reservations. Everything tasted delicious and the staff were so helpful taking our pictures.
There is almost never for payment in cash and when there is a lot of people pile up to be able to buy a ticket and the machine is damaged.
Just had a fabulous experience on the wine train. Five of us, ladies of a certain age, met in Napa to spend a few days together. We chose to sit in the glass car and have the four course meal. Our server Hannah did a great job making sure we had everything we could ever want including specialty drinks. The food was amazing. Whether you're deep into wines or not this is an experience not to be missed.
We planned this trip in January for May. It snuck up quickly and I forgot what the Wine Train included. It was just wonderful. The atmosphere was great, the staff was great, the food was great, the wine tours were fun, then there was dancing on the train. It was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend the Wine Train if you plan a trip to Napa!
We did the wine train for my wife's birthday and we both loved our experience! The food was gourmet and excellent. the staff was so engaging and fun and gave lots of great details about the different wineries and the area that we went through. We started with a late breakfast of eggs benedict over round hash browns and a wonderful little salad. Maria, our train host, gave us a lot of unique facts about the places we were seeing out the window as we ate our brunch. We then stopped at the Napa Valley Sign and Jorge explained the different wines we were having during the wine tasting. Then we sat down for lunch as we watched the valley go by. Both the vegetarian lunch option my wife had as well as my pork tenderloin were beyond tasty. The two vineyards we went to were unique and the tastings were fun! Finally, as we went back down the valley we were served a rich dessert and had a dance lesson from Jorge. This experience was top notch! It is a six hour experience that is well worth the money. Additionally we have nothing but good things to say about the staff as Maria and Jorge shined and were very lovely!
My husband and I just took the Napa Train with the Vista Dome Lunch. We had a fabulous time and would highly recommend it to others. First, the staff was knowledgeable and we learned a great deal on our trip about the various wineries. Tammy gave us a lot of her time and was a wealth of information. Next, the food choices were great. My husband and I ordered different courses and both were delicious! We left very full and totally satisfied!
Cold and over priced. Just a slow trip thru the woods.
Update: I appreciate the Railway's response and the services they offer. Yes, the only tickets left were open air. I believe the cost for 2 people was over $50. I'm sure some people had fun. And maybe being from PA, I'm not sure what I expected other than to see the local wood. Thanks for your thoughtful reply.

Very safe and clean in the station but in the 🚆 🚉 some times is very dirty
There is a reason gridlock was reported trying to get into Jim Thorpe, PA on Oct 28, 2023. The train ride during Fall leaf season is incredible popular. According to the people selling tickets after Saturday, they sold out the day within 90 minutes. The ticket window opened at 9 and by 10:30 or so they were sold out. During leaf season, it's a 45 minute ride leaving every 2 hours from 11 AM with the last train departing at 5 PM.
Outside of leaf season it's a 2 hour ride.
That staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable - outstanding, even. Highly recommended.

This was one of the coolest experiences we had when visiting Napa Valley! Everyone should do this when you come as you not only get to visit 2 awesome wineries, but they also do a tasting and a great lunch on the train! Food is delicious and the service is great and a lot of fun! I highly recommend the beef! We did the whole day one so they also gave us breakfast and dessert. The train has a really cool, unique, back to the 40s kind of vibe. Was cool to see the vineyards on the side and not have to drive as well! They have a high tea one that I want to go back for….
Now this was an awesome experience! Three of my friends and I went to Napa for a girl's trip and this was one of the highlights of our trip. The check in and boarding experience was seamless. There was a store in the waiting area that sells maps of Napa, chocolate lollipop sticks for hot chocolate, and other souvenirs. I purchased the chocolate lollipop and had it with some hot oat milk once I got back home from my girls trip. It was delicious. The wine train had a classy old world ambiance. Our reservation was made a few weeks before we all traveled to Napa. The tickets are sold in pairs so two of my friends purchased two tickets each and then they requested that we be seated at the same table. No problems with that request being granted. There was a complimentary glass of wine with each ticket. I don't drink alcohol so I was given sparkling cider. All other drinks/bottles of wine had to be purchased separately. The food was great. I am usually not someone that likes pumpkin based or flavored food but I chose the pumpkin soup for an appetizer and the pumpkin creme brulee for dessert. Both were yummy. The pumpkin was not overpowering. For my entree I had the Salmon. Everything was very tasty. The bread was warm🙂. The views from the train added to the experience. You can't beat a great lunch, views and spending time with friends. As part of our wine train experience we opted to stop at the Grgich Hills Estate for a wine tasting. It was a $75 tasting but it was included in the ticket price of the wine train. I learned after the fact that when booking the wine train they offer an option for non-drinkers. Mental note for myself if I return to Napa and want to experience the wine train again. As part of the tasting at the vineyard you can take home the two wine glasses you do the tasting with. There was also a short presentation anout the vineyard and how the grapes are grown and harvested. We were at the vineyard for about an hour until the train returned to pick us up. Those who did not do the vineyard wine tasting stayed on the train.
On our weekend fall trip to the Poconos mountains, this was surely the most beautiful experience!
Parking: On weekends, unless you reach very early, there is almost zero chance of getting parking close to the train station. If you don't mind walking for about 30 minutes, the best place to park for free would be close to the Lehigh Gorge trail bridge. We walked past the most wonderful views and fall colours!
Train: The train leaves every hour, starting from 10am and we picked the open trolley. The tickets cost us $24 each and you have to purchase it in the station (not available online). For best views, do sit on the opposite side of the train station from where you board although you can move around in the open car. The ride lasted 45 minutes and we were awestruck by the pretty views!
Others: The Jim Thorpe Fall festival (food, live music, shops) also happens right next to the train station!

The whole experience was fantastic. We decided to buy a bottle of wine before we got on the train. They did charge a corkage fee, but still a better deal than buying a bottle on the train. We did purchase a glass to pair with our dessert. The server was great and super informative about the wineries we were traveling past. I would recommend for sure, even though it is a little pricey.
We always come for the very first ride of the day, and there is plenty of space and seats to choose from. We always get the middle cost experience. Which I think is called coach or something standard? Which has always been a great experience. And in case you didn't know the seats can change. So that way you are facing each other instead of all facing forward like a school bus. We have been here several times and also for some themed rides. Like the Christmas one and Easter one, and the kids always have a great time. This year, we went for the fall to see the changing leaves, and it was very pleasant. They do offer a large variety of types of rides and different lengths of time, which is perfect. Because my son as a toddler has a short attention span. So it is nice to have an option for a shorter ride. Overall, the staff is always really nice. And they have some talking for educational purposes. Which is also nice, but it's not too much. We have a great experience and try to go at least once if not more a year.
The four of us thoroughly enjoyed the open car (NO windows) - it really was invigorating! The breeze combined with the movement of the train made for a bracing wind & it was great! But the varying colors of the leaves was breathtaking! The view of the river & occasional rapids below, and the crisp blue sky above - cannot be beat. Loved every minute of it! Many of us waved to pedestrians & bicyclists who waved back. The camaraderie was exhilarating.
Long lines to refill the MetroCard. There were so many working machines. Most of them for one trip only. Only ONE for cash in the entire station!!!
Lovely! The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, the views were gorgeous and it was nice to hear the fun facts from the conductor. We got standard coach tickets for 22$ and the seats have the ability to turn around so you can get the best of both directions on the train. Open window tickets with outward facing seats are 24$, which are perfect for people who like a breeze or are planning on taking photos of the area.
I would do this over and over again. The service was amazing, the food was amazing and the WINE has me feeling nice. This was so relaxing and romantic. This is perfect for a night out with the girls as well as a night out with your spouse or partner.
Well-organized and nicely-appointed train cars. Choice of three options: closed cars with windows that open and seats like a school bus; open cars with sideways-seating on wooden benches; and plusher seats in climate-controlled cars. We selected the last, but wish I had gone on the open car with the sideways seats. I found that if you are taking photos, the flash will reflect off of the windows and ruin your pictures.
While the experience was enjoyable, we expected a ride that showed more scenery at or above the treeline. The out and back trip seemed pretty short. I didn't care for the constant narration -- it was difficult to hear, and therefore, it was somewhat annoying to me. All in all, it was a nice experience, but could be improved.

We took the 45 minute fall foliage ride on an open air car. Absolutely breathtaking views! I wish it were longer. Enough narration to give some history and point out scenic spots, but also time to just enjoy the sounds. We went the weekend BEFORE fall foliage festival starts but the town was still pretty crowded. We took the last train of the day and there was barely anyone on it! No problem walking up to get tickets. I imagine during the festival it’s a lot harder. I would recommend waiting until the afternoon when the crowd dies down a little
Wonderful trip that took us to two vineyards for some amazing wine tasting. The breakfast and lunch served on the train was excellent ,and I love the overall view you get from the windows as you pass by Napa. Definitely the ambience was nice!
The Napa Valley Wine Train is a Lifetime memory. My wife and I were fortunate to celebrate our 35th Wedding Anniversary in Napa Valley.

Such a spectacular experience! Our hosts (J, Miguel and Rosa) were amazing and the chefs were wonderful. Our tour stopped at two wineries for a tour and tastings: the Charles Krug winery and V. Sattui -so sorry for the misspelling- winery. Set course meals: breakfast, lunch, snack, and a dessert.
What a great experience. The staff, especially our waiter, Freda, were super nice and willing to help. The scenery really was beautiful and the food was solid. I thought at times it could be improved (more flavor, color) but overall the package was great despite being on the pricey side. I recommend the Gourmet Express.

Major transportation hub alert! Bring the terminus of the IRT#7 Line is a definite positive for this busy station. Situated just blocks from the LIRR, and smack dab in the middle of the Flushing Shopping District, the Main Street Station is just an all-time necessity for any working class neighborhood. Between students, workers, shoppers, and just average folks trying to get along in this fast-paced city, stations like these are a constant reminder of the good that comes with city life. It serves its purpose. Nothing more, nothing less.
Be careful walking up and down stairs to subway because perps May slip their fingers in your bag/pockets/etc. brace yourself for the clouds of second hand smoke when you emerge onto sidewalk because there is a high proportion of smokers in the community who linger at the entrances or are ahead of you on the steps to sidewalk and light their cigs before they reach topside.
Getting to Main Street Flushing train station is a breeze by car and bus. The trains run express in the morning Rush hours and there is always a train pulling in and out so there's no wait time at all. The station is super clean and well lit.
Enjoy Fitness weight lifting machines you need boxing and mixed martial arts at the gym you can definitely lose weight and stay in shape
It's ok. It was better. Lots of homeless take shelter on the trains (it's both the last and first stop). A majority of the police stationed within the station do not wear masks.

Crowded and one of the up escalators was cordoned off so everyone was trying to go up on one side. In wee early hours it is also home to the homeless and one sleeping person can occupy the whole bench. UPDATE 12/4/23: Didn't ride the MTA in over 3 years; and, this ride reminds me of why I stopped taking mass transit. Left Chinatown at around 8pm but didn't get to Main Street Flushing till 10pm. Even if I rode a bicycle, I would have been on Main Street before 10. There's still the homeless hanging out and it is worse now. Before they wouldn't smoke openly but they do now.
