Like with countless others on here, the Lofts property management team charged us thousands of dollars upon move-out to redo the entirety of the floors even though the damage to the floors was much less than that.

Their stance is that ANY damage to the floors requires them to redo the entire floors and that you must pay for 100% of the repairs. As advice to any future tenant, take your hardwood floor square footage and expect to pay $4 - $5 per sq foot upon move-out as a baseline move-out tax.

While charging such fees on its own is quite predatory, when presenting to us the reported damages and the associated cost to fix, the property management team immediately threatened to send us to collections and reminded us of that threat every time we questioned the validity of their claim.

Renters beware. The property management team does not care about being good to you. They only care about collecting your money.
My fiance and I are looking for a new home. We have searched all over Chicago's downtown neighborhoods and truly love the Lofts at River East. Can't get better amenities anywhere for the price and convenience!
Highly recommend!

I'm so impressed with this building. Top of my list for lofted buildings in great neighborhood in Chicago. Everything is lovely. Had the best experience during our tour provided by Brittany. She really knows what this building has to offer, inside and out. This building has everything I'm looking for. I'm wowed!
My boyfriend and I love living here! The lofty vibes in the apartment/building are great. Because it's a loft you will hear some additional noise from your neighbors. It's not enough to bother us, but just to be aware of. The staff are all great and we are right on the river. It makes us feel like we're in a more residential area but still right in the middle of the city.

This place is so smooth! All the benefits of a loft apartment with the luxury of having a balcony and true communal experience. Most lofts like this are walk ups and hard to find gems.
everything in one place. hair salon, grocery, eat in restaurant, gas, fitness, pharmacy, discount variety store, hardware, thrift store, pet store and fast food choices chipotle, subway, beauty supply...it's great!

Find what you're looking for. Easy parking. Places to eat. A nice pet store and gym.
Just a good grocery store and Aldi store for food shopping when I'm in area . Reasonable prices . Felt safe
Always go here well kept and love going to harbor freight and the grocery outlet best deals

I moved into The Lofts at River East in April of 2023, and my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. The primary issue was a malfunctioning air conditioner that took an agonizing seven months to fix. Despite over 17 maintenance reports and persistent reports of health concerns due to extreme heat in my unit reaching the 90-degree range, the management, led by Lindsey Brewer (who has since rebranded herself as "Lynzy") and Justin Perkins, displayed an alarming lack of urgency and professionalism.

In September, after threatening legal action after going an entire summer without a functioning air conditioner, I was offered a temporary window AC unit, but it was too little, too late as the summer months had already come and gone. Lindsey strongly discouraged and coerced me out of taking legal action, insisting it would hinder a resolution. When attempting to contact Justin, her manager, for assistance in my pleas for help, my calls and voicemails went unanswered, and his office claimed he had no superior for me to contact.

Lindsey assured me that she would "make the situation right" if provided the opportunity. However, when the AC issue was eventually resolved in November--seven months later--she asserted that it had been functioning perfectly all along, even claiming they had installed it in another resident's apartment after conducting a supposed "test". This so-called test, which involved pulling in already cold outside air during November, is inherently flawed, as anyone employing simple logic can deduce that external cool air would naturally skew the results. Regrettably, another resident will endure the same unethical and inhumane living conditions next summer that I faced this past season. I strongly caution against taking the risk of residing here.

This alternate narrative that Justin and Lindsey are claiming contradicted my firsthand experience as if my experience rooted in reality was a whimsical tale. Going so far as to tell me how I was an inconvenience to them for reporting the AC issues and how much money it cost them to replace it. As if I'm the problem for reporting the obviously concerning maintenance issue and wanting a living environment consistent with the lease that I signed.

The gaslighting from "Lynzy" (Lindsey's new preferred alter ego) and Justin, who persistently denied the severity of the issue and its existence only after the issue is resolved, is deeply concerning and unprofessional. Their refusal to acknowledge the reality faced by myself, my dog who fell ill because of the extreme indoor heat, and the numerous other residents raises serious concerns about their competence.

The building's elevators are frequently out of order, you smell (through your air vents) when your neighbors cook fish, go to the bathroom, smoke cigarettes, burn food, and the smoke fills up your unit as well. I had to have maintenance take the light out of my bathroom fan so it can run 24/7 just to make a dent in the shared air smells from my neighbors. I'm not kidding when I say you can smell every time your neighbor goes number two.... The lack of communication, basic respect, and the gaslighting stance exhibited is utterly unacceptable in addition to the numerous other issues with the building itself. I discovered that this management team has faced retaliation cases through an attorney I've been consulting with.

While the maintenance, concierge, and housekeeping staff are commendable, their efforts are overshadowed by incompetent leadership. Lindsey's dismissive attitude, inability to respond to written communication, and her gaslighting tactics are clear signs of a mis-led and unqualified management team.

This review is only scratching the surface of the complete and utter nightmare I've experienced while living here. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for housing.

It's decent spacious living but as many year's as I've been in and out.. I'd much rather Never go again than climb 8/10 Floors because the elevator breaks so often.

We love stopping by these repurposed buildings to shop and eat. Lots of dining options and tons of unique stores. Big Japanese section. Furniture and tchotchkes. Nice courtyard areas to sit, play or eat. Weekends are packed with kids and strollers, we generally avoid weekends.

There's always something fun to do at Industry City. Whether you're into breweries and distilleries, arts & crafts, family activities, free yoga classes, comedy shows, salsa dancing, live music, or just window shopping and eating some good food, Industry City has it all.
I ordered a double baconator meal and it was awful!! The burgers were dried out and tasteless; the bacon was wilted and tasteless; the fries were cold and mushy. The drink was ok. I will never come to Wendys on Tilghman/ Broadway again!
I threw out over half if it!
Great place to shop. Workers are good but the lines be a lil long

I went there on a Saturday at about 10:45am. Found street parking a block away so didn't have to use the parking lot across the street $20 & $15. There are a lot of high end stores. Japan Village is also located in Industry City. It's very small. A dollar type store, tea ceremony place, grocery store, sewing place and animes store. In Industry City, there are different restaurants, patisserie, furniture store and clothing shops. Its a nice place to walk around, they have courtyards. I purchased a bento box in Japan Village for lunch. It was worth the price,$14. Wouldn't make a special trip out there but if I was in the area I would walk around.

Very industrial spa e qs expected. Lots of vendors. I went on a Saturday night after 6pm. Was pretty dead. Lots of families with small children. Most stores were closed. Some restaurants. The Asian market was open.
I wanted to take this time out to thank the wonderful staff . My year is tomorrow & i'm so happy i chose this location very clean , friendly tenants and a secured location. There is always someone at the front desk which helps a lot when i'm not there to receive items from my clients.
I started out using Perfect Office as my virtual office through a different company to pick up my mail. Once I saw this location in person, I was impressed and scheduled a tour. I loved how clean it was, and the receptionist was very professional. I decided to rent my suite there and have been very satisfied with my decision. My clients are greeted as they walk in and assisted to my suite if needed. I've been here for about 6 months and love it. Lise is an awesome property manager. She makes sure we're ok and all of our needs are met. She recently brought on a new receptionist who is awesome as well. She's very professional and helps Lise keep everything running smooth. Perfect Office is a great place for small businesses to start with or keep as a forever home. Our rent is reasonable along with the cleanliness and professional services, it can't be beat. I'll be running my business from here until my business gets bigger and needs more space. I love it here and will continue to refer other small businesses to rent here as well.

Came here for the Brooklyn Night Market and it was a great experience! There were a variety of food vendors with options from different countries. The area was spacious and clean. There was space on both sides for vendor setups and a walking path in the middle. There was also elevated walking areas on both sides. The bathrooms were clean. Keep in mind that not all vendors are cashless so bring cash just in case. Overall it was a great space and experience. Will definitely be back again.

When people are given things for free, they become entitled. This can be observed daily in any of the stores located within this shopping center. There's nothing more frustrating than watching people get free streaks and shrimp with taxpayer dollars, just to put them in the back of a brand new Cadillac or BMW.
Lots of things lots of nice people plenty of parking and overall just a great shopping area.
Decent location and places to choose from. Could use some variety but the Giant Eagle is a nice store here and the gas is always decently priced.
nice, well maintained shopping center. a large variety of types of stores ... auto repair and paint centers, movie theater are in nearby separate buildings. I personally make regular visits to the Goodwill , Dollar Tree and the Grocery Outlet because I usually find decent products at good prices at those stores.

overall really appreciated the visual designs of the park - such a thoughtful and diverse collection with very aesthetically pleasing colors. the orientation and navigating were very confusing tho. it’s one of the places that you have to know where you’re going exactly and make a conscious decision looking for the place and not where you can organically go across all stores / spaces. also not recommend going on weekdays (assuming after work too), shops close early so they weren’t that much to see when i got there. the food was bad too 🥲
Absolutely fantastic solutions for entrepreneurs! Well run, plenty options, amazing staff!

Regal Cinema is here, DC Chinatown. I love every place with a Regal Cinema. There is also a DISTRICT E, a Haggen Dazs Ice Cream Shop, an entry to Capitol Arena, and an interior entry to Clyde's of Gallery Place, American restaurant, having parking, then, outdoor for cobblestone plaza is Smoothie King, just across the street numerous eateries that just opened up. This all is in the same block as METRO GALLERY PLACE/CHINATOWN STATION, and a short walk from Martin Luther King, Jr. Public Library.

Beautiful place to chill with friends, family, or even by yourself. A variety of shops and events to keep you entertained. And with so many places to sit, you can find whatever feels most comfortable to you, especially to work. The prices feel like a bit of Manhattan was brought to Brooklyn. I've been hanging out here for years and have even worked for them for a summer internship. It's really a fun place and you can't forget to check out the game room. Check out their website for their different events that are usually free with some paid workshops, too.
A Dollar Tree next to a big Goodwill that accepts donations next to a Staples that does UPS Amazon returns. I literally needed all three of those places. Talk about efficiency!
A barren waste land of what was a thriving shopping center. Pet store is gone auto store is gone even the gym closed up shop. There are still some neat shops and good will, staples, harbor freight. Still not as awesome as it use to be. I think the rats even moved out.

Beautiful new location of the Aston Martin design center! A must visit in midtown!
We would go back in a heartbeat!
Surprised by the negative reviews for Lofts at River East! I’ve lived a few different places downtown and this has BY FAR been the best experience. My boyfriend and I are going on our third year here soon & we couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. The amenities are updated, the building is clean, dog park across the street, rooftop is beautiful, and there’s an awesome gym! The list goes on. The staff has always been SO friendly to us and we are so grateful! S/O to Karen at the front desk for always being a joy to be around. Thanks Lofts at River East team!!!!

Nice options. Tesla dealer nearby. 2 or 3 good Chinese restaurants. One sit-down Cuban restaurant may or may not be overpriced. Chinese Friendship archway sets the tone. And the Caps play at the arena. GP metro is sketchy, so stay alert.

I like gallery place because I'm a city guy and I love all that the city has to offer. I like all of the good and can tolerate some of the bad. I was surprised at how much open air drug use was going on and being tolerated. Cops were on every corner. Interesting.
A lovely place to start your journey, deciding to become an entrepreneur isn't easy, perfect office solutions has affordable private offices to assist with the where's and aesthetics.
Beautiful environment and lots of resources
very small list of wholesalers, and the ones that are there seem to be more for small $1 items.

It was an awesome experience. I visited the planet fitness the staff were friendly and inviting. The atmosphere was great!
Nice and clean setup but mail forwarding service as terrible, at least in my case. They are supposed to forward my mail every week, according to our agreement. However, not only they didn’t do it in a timely fashion, the receptionist I talked to at this location was rude and hung up on me. She didn’t bother to pick it up after I called back.

This is how the experience was:
The sender sent it on : 1/3/23 (from Maryland)
It was forwarded to me on: 1/23/23 after talking to a few people in the upper management and after reminding them a few times.

If you can live with this type of service, go ahead.
Don’t forget that the set up looks pretty nice and clean.

The Lofts at River East is an inconsiderate, pretentious, overpriced establishment that does not care about the well-being of its tenants.

Most egregiously, when moving out we were charged THOUSANDS of dollars for small scratches on the floor near the desk and kitchen areas. Initial receipt of the bill was accompanied by an immediate threat to turn over the balance for collection. Despite multiple attempts to call the Lofts to clarify the charges, we were never able to get in touch with an agent. Given that we hired a cleaning service and frequently cared for the unit, this treatment was incredibly unexpected and appalling.

Additionally, while living at the lofts, we encountered incredibly aggressive/violent dogs that would snark and attempt to bite tenants. Many of the building tenants were incredibly rude and entitled as well, going as far as to push residents out of the way in the hallways.

Finally, the building itself frequently failed to deliver the “luxury” services that it promised. Carpets were consistently stained by urine and other waste. Often, 2-3 elevators would be out of service. Multiple items of gym equipment were out of service during the majority of our 18 month stay. Despite polite requests to fix these items, management almost never responded.

We were very optimistic after touring the Lofts and loved our unit; however, the way management extorts its residents, neglects necessary maintenance, and enables poor resident behavior is exceptionally disappointing.
Gallery Place has turned into a Gathering Place! People are everywhere. They are sitting on the sidewalk in chairs, crates, bikes, scooters, and wheelchairs. There are also young babies in strollers.
There is plenty of smoking going on here.
There is trash on the sidewalks and in the streets.

Good luck trying to get into the Metro.

There is normally police presence, they are out numbered if a fight or disturbance breaks out.
Now I try to avoid this area, due to safety concerns.

This is where the 80, P6, and the X2 Metro bus stops are.
Best place to dumpster dive for miles. This goodwill puts more in the trash than on the shelves. Everything seen in photos was saved from this Goodwills dumpster

Save yourself the time and headache, id hire a different brokerage.
Very small mom and pop shop, you'd rather list or have representation with a company with more experience. Unexperienced agents throughout the company.
Wonderful operation! Staff is most supportive, enthusiastic, and their knowledge of building industry and real estate in Manhattan is second to none.Extremely flexible on exhibition layout, lighting, etc. Ez access on foot, bike, car or subway.
The office is extremely nice and clean, despite the receptionist who sits on the computer shopping all day and not assisting clients that walk in and have never even been to the office before (Like myself). Like I said overall the setting was nice just ghetto and unprofessional workers and even some of the people who have units.

It's very expressive, you need to make at least 70,000 a year to qualify for an apartment, and this being a low income Community which has been GENTRIFIED, so the rents go up and the people that lived all their lives in Bushwick dont even have access to apartments
Very nice space but not a good place for Professional Business. More Like Salon Plaza than Perfect Office Solution. Came to see with a friend and it was just way too Ghetto/Unprofessional...

Cool space. The event that's being held will really make it!
Parking is tight. Not many spaces close to the stores. Entrances and Exits are not clearly marked for new patrons and traffic patterns are not easily identified due to poor planning. But there is an excellent thrift store next to a craft and antique market.
Beautiful Class A building. The offices are breathtaking. I really love this location! It's close to West Covina mall and many, many restaurants. Not to mention after a long week, I can enjoy a movie right across the lot with family. Thank you for the professionalism and services you offer. I highly recommend this office space agency!
Great agency! They helped me find the perfect office space to fit my needs, and got me a great deal on my office lease!
