My son attended Creative Minds Child Care from age ~5 mo.-8 mo. We had a great experience and we would not have left if we hadn't moved out of DC, and dearly miss the teachers and care providers at CMCC. Everyone there is friendly, cares about the children, and constantly supporting their development. He always seemed very happy to be there! For our first daycare experience, we felt very grateful it was with CMCC and highly recommend it!

Our very energetic son started here at 5 months old and our experience has been wonderful. The teachers keep the children on a good routine while providing lessons and activities. The love and care our son receives from the staff is best in class.

We highly recommend Creative Minds! All of the teachers have been amazing. We started our daughter there when she was 4 months old and they worked with us through all of the adjustments. She wouldn’t take a bottle prior to going to CCMC and they were so patient with her while she adjusted (and now she’s a champ!) We are also a cloth diapering family and the whole staff had been very helpful in using cloth diapers even while at daycare. We have so many positive things to say about CMCC!

Our 1yr old daughter has been attending CMCC for 6 months and we've had a great experience. It brings me so much comfort to see how excited she is to arrive each day and wave goodbye to each teacher as she leaves at the end of the day. Each teacher from across the classrooms fosters an individual relationship with each child. The director, manager, and teachers are communicative, accommodating to request and forthcoming with feedback and updates about our daughter. We couldn't be happier and are happy to be a reference to other parents considering enrollment.

Creative Minds is a great daycare and has been great for our son's development. He has been there for almost a year and we enrolled since he was 1. He comes home with so many different skills like saying new words, phrases, signing and dance moves. The teachers and staff put a lot of effort to ensure they have great activities and curriculum for the kids throughout the day. I can tell the teachers care about my son and all the kids and want to see him thrive. I definitely recommend Creative Minds and our family is very lucky to have found them.

CMCC is great for our son who has attended for 9 months now. His development progresses every day whether it’s through communication, motor skills, or otherwise. The teachers and staff are caring and attentive to the children and very sweet with our son. They are also quick to respond to questions from us parents and keep us informed throughout the day with pictures and updates. The cost is comparable and the hours work perfectly with our schedule. We’ve been fortunate to have CMCC in our lives and recommend them to other parents looking for quality child care services!

Our 9mo old daughter has been going to CMCC for 6 months now and she is excited to go to ‘school’ every day of the week. She just loves all the teachers in her class and has learned so much, including Spanish and sign language. We love CMCC and are grateful they’re a part of our lives!

Our daughter has been at Creative Minds since she was 8 months old and is now nearly 2. She absolutely loves it and we are so happy with how supported and cared for she is! They give great updates through out the day, they are communicative and responsive, and they very clearly care for all of the children. I am grateful that we can send our daughter to a place like this :)

Both of my boys are in this daycare. My oldest since he was 2 and youngest since 6 months. They’re now soon to be 11 and 5!!!! I wouldn’t leave my kids with anyone else!!!! They pick them up from school, feed them, do many activities with them and treat them and each other like FAMILY!!! Anything I’ve ever had questions of Josie has always been PROMPT in answering and getting things done. If you want your kids in a safe, loving, helpful and warm environment, this is the place! FYI, she also has cameras which I love!!

I’ve been coming to this daycare for 6+ years. This daycare goes all out For Anybody in the daycare. They also pick up your kids From school. I recommend you bring your kids to this daycare. If your kid is 6 weeks Old - 13 years Old they are able to be apart of the daycare.

I have been calling to try to enroll my daughter since July 12th. On my first call, I spoke with the owner and she said she would send me a zoom link for the virtual tour. After the discussion, I did not receive a zoom link! I have called and called and cannot get through to anyone nor leave a message. I have sent emails through there website also with no result. I just had my Caucasian friend call and she got someone one the phone after the third ring!!!! They told her there will be openings for October and November! Very suspicious to me that I could not get through to someone on the phone! I thought maybe my phone was defective, so I called from my husband's phone. I called from my sister's phone! I guess the caller ID showing my friend's name, a more eurocentric name, versus my African name was acceptable! Keep your daycare! Just shows that if my child went there how they would treat my sweet baby!!!

If your a picky and annoying mom when it comes to who watches your children then this is a place I recommend is a safe zone . They take care of the kids so we’ll and they are very well fed and have a schedule assigned on daily basis . They keep them active and are always teaching them educational curriculum activities. I am very satisfied my son was very happy to start his day . The caregivers are very responsible and well communicating.

My child is so happy here at daycare. She looks forward to going every day and is thriving! She has been enrolled here for over a year now. All of her teachers and all of the staff here are very caring and loving towards the children, and we feel very safe here. Also the value is amazing. I highly recommend.

My daughter was at this daycare for 7 years , their more like family now! Josie & her staff welcomed me & my daughter years ago with open arms! Always made sure to listen to anything I had to say & always so loving & kind! The staff are phenomenal with the kids! My daughter loves each & other last one of the ladies at Friendly Faces! My daughter learned so much over the years! Anyone would be lucky to have 1 of them as their kids teachers for sure! Keep up the great work ladies, your work never goes unnoticed!!!

My son attended CommuniKids in Tenleytown for the 2021-22 academic year and we could not have had a better experience. The teachers and staff were caring, patient, and invested in my son’s development. My son’s social skills and language developed immensely over the year. We loved CommuniKids and look forward to sending our younger child when he is old enough.

Additionally CommuniKids was clear and consistent in carrying out their COVID protocols and adjusted them over time as response evolved. I appreciated the professionalism and dedication of the staff in regards to their COVID response and general teaching responsibilities.

We enrolled our son Gabriel in the preK 4 program in the fall of 2020. We were nervous but excited to be back in school in person. Our son's experience has been wonderful, from the communication of the teachers and staff, to the fun, nurturing environment Communikids provided. In our parent teacher conferences it was clear that his teachers cared about Gabriel as well as his success as a student. In the midst of such a challenging year, Communikids was such a wonderful gem.

My older child attended summer camp at communikids and this motivated me to enroll my younger child. They have their fingers on the pulse of the latest in early child pedagogy (appropriate, challenging, varied activities/ games/ toys) on top of being incredibly kind/ affectionate/ caring. My children have always wanted to come to communikids in the morning. Communication is also fabulous; weekly videos and newsletters, teachers willing to chat with little notice, etc. I have seen my children thrive in this caring but challenging environment. They also don't have the turnover of staff I've seen and heard about from other schools, or the issue that if you don't get teacher X, you're not in a good situation. Instead, they have consistently good teachers always, who stick around (kids needs dependable care givers)! I give them my highest recommendation.

We absolutely LOVED having our daughter at CommuniKids. The teachers are amazing. They are dedicated and smart. Our daughter loved going to class everyday and she learned great Spanish. The teachers and administration work hard to make sure parents are informed and involved. I can't recommend CommuniKids highly enough.

Our son attended Communikids Wash, DC location last year for PK3. We were thrilled with the administration, staff and teachers. This was our son's first school experience and we could not have asked for a better experience for him! His teachers were welcoming, understanding, patient and caring. He LOVED going to school and especially his teachers!! We were in awe with how quickly he picked up comprehending and speaking Spanish (he had never been exposed to the language prior). In addition to learning a second language, he left PK3 with the necessary academic and social skills he will need for PK4. Our son will continue to attend Communikids next year for PK4 and we tell everyone we can about it for their children as well!

We had a wonderful experience at Communikids and were incredibly lucky to get a public PK3 spot. Our son learned a LOT of Spanish, had warm and caring teachers, and enjoyed school. Both he and we wished there was a better facility with windows and more play space. I hope those things can be improved in the future, but the curriculum and teachers and admin were first-rate.

My wife and I couldn't be happier with the teachers, administrators, and program at CommuniKids, and our son has been having a wonderful experience there. He's really taken to the language immersion program, and the teachers have been wonderful partners throughout the year on language skills, toilet training, social development, and pre-reading skills.

I've been especially impressed with how well CommuniKids blends the play-based curriculum with results-oriented learning and developmental progress. I've also appreciated the program's NAEYC accreditation and the staff's focus on current scholarship about early childhood education.

If the quality of the program and our great relationships with the teachers and staff weren't enough, CommuniKids is the only school in Ward 3 (public or private) that offers DC-funded preschool for three year olds through OSSE's Pre-K Enhancement and Expansion Funding Program.

We have had our child enrolled Communikids since the day he turned 2.5 (as per the enrollment requirements) otherwise he would have been there sooner! We were so thrilled of how his transition from an at home caregiver to a school environment was so easy and smooth due to the amazing staff and environment at Communikids DC! The teachers are kind, patient and very skilled at how to teach young children. They communicate with parents on a regular basis and are always available by email or in person. We receive weekly schedules for what students will be learning about which allows us to ask questions at home based on the theme, or book or activity. We also get daily reports which gives a window into the day (meals, sleep, toilet, play etc.) The staff is also responsive and very accommodating and accessible to parents. At any time I can email or call the school and will get a quick response.

I am a longtime educator and know what quality looks like. In addition to the amazing Spanish immersion program, the play based focus was very appealing and aligned to my beliefs about teaching and learning. I have only positive things to say about the program and my only stress is where to enroll my child for Kindergarten when this program ends!

Blandis has been a phenomenal experience for my kids. They love the teachers so much. The program really goes above and beyond to ensure that children are being engaged, and it is clear that the staff love what they do.

My husband and I feel so lucky to have found Blandis. Our 13 mo/old has been there since he was 4 months and we have been so grateful for the care they have provided, and their flexibility. There are several stand out teachers and staff that I adore and I never worry about him being well taken care of.
