This is a huge community center with multiple buildings. They recently hosted an event at the senior building number c. To get around to the building, you have to drive through to parking lots and you can park in the front. Extremely friendly and wonderful staff members welcomed us at multiple points and let us in the correct direction. The center seems very busy with lots of activities and they are fully connected to other non-profits in the area.
This place is disgusting, it needs a deep clean, throw away the broken toys, repair the foam on the jungle gym, so that’s safe for kids, and clean the bathrooms so that there’s not urine on the floor and blood on the toilet.
Love this place! Convenient location, convenient online pay portal and the staff is great. My son has been enrolled since November 2022 starting in the infant classroom and after his first birthday he moved up into the wobbler class. They had him visit the wobbler class to have an easy transition which is so important ❤️ teachers send me photos which just make my day too I look forward to a surprise picture of my baby just having so much fun 🤩 you get a daily report to take home to see what they eat, when they slept and all diaper changes. It definitely shows how amazing this place is when my 14 month old reaches out for his teacher during morning drop off. I recommend lakeshore to everyone
If I could rate Discover Fun Camp 6 out of 5 stars I would! Raven, Ms. Whitley and her crew of absolutely stellar counselors are a rare blend of loving, flexible, and creative, and their camp experience was an absolute joy for our little man who had just turned 4.
There are many camps throughout DC and many parents would have you believe that one needs to spend an astronomical amount of money in order for your child to have fun and receive loving care, but this is simply not so with Discover Fun. Our son had an absolute blast and we found their rates extremely reasonable.
In addition to a nice facility and thoughtful, caring staff, Discover Fun keeps an excellent program every week including a weekly field trip, weekly field day and weekly wet day at a local splash pad/pool. In addition to making wonderful friends while there, our son had so many new experiences, so much so that he was begging to keep going back to camp and not back to school in the fall!

The summer camp was great. It was well organized and they were very responsive with any questions. They offered Facebook group and weekly newsletter to share daily activities. My kids let me know they want to return. This is so nice to hear. Totally recommend it to others.
We truly appreciate the existence of an affordable and fun childcare program as Discover Fun. Miss Raven is the soul of that place and she is loving and very knowledgeable. We sent our son in the aftercare program and he had a lot of fun. Overall we are more than happy with the experience.

We love DFC, we used them for summer camp and our son enjoys it! The staff are amazing and we love the activities that are planned for the kids. We will be using them during the school year as well.
So glad I found this daycare. This place is amazing! They really care and love the children. My daughter has been here since she was two months. Everyone is professional and kind. I’m so grateful for them. They made all my worries about daycare melt away.
The staffs are excellent with my twins. The love they have for my boys goes beyond the daycare walls and I’m forever grateful for them.

Ms. Raven’s camp is loads of fun! She sets the tone with a warm relationship with the kids and super creative activities. She has created a true community!
Don't waste your time booking this place for a birthday party. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had renting a party place. They are very misleading in their rental agreements and the packages are overpriced. They want you to pay for children and adults that didn't even make it to the party due to sickness. I could understand the paying for the children since they had to set up for them but not the adults. They don't cater to adults at all, so why pay if the person is not present. The manager excuse was they already paid for the kids food (what food!!! 1 slice of pizza cut in half and fake iced tea for a package that starts at $599). He couldn't find a liable excuse for the adults (mind you I bought extra food for the adults). The food menu is also overpriced. This place got 1 star because the lady helping for my sons party was very nice and understood where I was coming from. The cherry on top was my son's friend spilled the juice by accident on the table, one of the staff was giving me attitude because I asked him for paper towel to wipe the mess (mind you they charged about $200 for gratuity). He only provided us with 1 ply to wipe the juice off the table. The manager is clueless and very dismissive. All he cares about is money. The place is not even that big for them to charge that much for a 2 hour party. Don't tell me I didn't warn you!!!
Love this community center this is our family's second year celebrating the lunar new year here and it's so much fun for our family. The communitys atmosphere is everything!! It's very welcoming, fun, festive, and educational. We intend to make our tradition ever year to come out and celebrate with the community!! I definitely recommend anyone to stop by learn and see the culture of this community and to bring the family!!

Dark and not nearly as clean as other indoor playgrounds we have visited. Dust and debris all over - there were bits of rubber from popped balloons all over the play area. We went in the morning so no reason it should be so dirty. My son woke up the next morning with pinkeye in both eyes. We definitely won’t be back.
I wouldn’t recommend bringing your children here and I wouldn’t recommend working here!
They keep staff working and running events that have fevers over 99. They keep children with 100+ fevers around other children without sending them home for hours. They ignore your requested dietary restrictions(one parent requested no sweet snacks for their child and the assistant director said “I sneak him sweets all of the time” because she doesn’t agree with his mothers choices). Staff members will work with children while completely smelling of cigarettes and the way the director and assistant director talk about your children is repulsive and sad. Please take your children anywhere else! I have a bit more information, but I will follow up after the lawsuit clears.

Finding this daycare was truly a blessing. As a single mother, I wanted to ensure that my son was in an environment that cared about his learning just as much as I did. It truly takes a village, and the staff members are like family. My son has progressed tremendously since starting at this daycare, and I am so thankful to them. I will never forget what they have done and continue to do for my son.

My daughter has been going to Playspace as a daycare for the past two years, since she was 8 months. It is an intimate space with lots to do, Melissa and Lucy are amazing with the children and give the child personal attention and generally love hanging out with the kids. They are so flexible too and let you add hours if you need. LOVE!
This is the best daycare in MEMPHIS! Very nice and loving ;my kids (nieces nephews and all) have been going here for 13+ years unfortunately/fortunately my kids are in regular school now, and they don’t get to see them till the breaks. I love this school so much and miss y’all dearly.
Very nice and friendly staff. Both my kids are enrolled in the daycare. They enjoy the large indoor playground and hate when I pick them up early! Mr. Steve is very friendly with all the kids and Shannon is very helpful whenever I call to ask questions.
Our two children have attended Lakeshore Learning Center since they opened and have been in every classroom from toddlers to school-age. We have been very happy with sending out kids here, they have made lasting friendships, and we have always felt safe and comfortable when we drop our kids off. Most importantly, our kids enjoy spending time here and talk highly of the fun things they do during the day and in the after school program.
Absolutely the best child care you could send your child to!! I absolutely love the staff! Diane is a pure angel!!! My baby comes home every day saying something new he learned. 💙 So happy I’ve been blessed with them!
Raven is such an awesome educator. She is very hands on with the children, and teaches them so many things. My daughter comes homes everyday explaining things that she learned. We would recommend this summer camp, and plan to send her back next year.
I would for sure recommend Lakeshore Learning Center! Our kiddos have spent time in the wobbler, toddler, and preschool classrooms and they always come home happy. The teachers and staff are so warm and genuinely care about the children's well being and safety which has been life changing, especially during the pandemic.
Communication from the director and owner is frequent so parents/caregivers are up to date. Daily reports are posted so we always know the specifics about diapering/potty times, meal times, nap time, learning and play time. Covid protocols have been more than fair and also well communicated.

WOW!! We just had our sons 3rd birthday here and everything was beyond amazing. The place itself was beautiful, very clean, and so much fun for all the kids at the party ranging from 6 months to 10 years old. Even the adults had a blast!! The staff were FANTASTIC!!!!! Everything was set up perfectly and they were so great with the kids and took care of everything to make the party run smoothly. Honestly this was the best party we have ever been to and we are lucky that it was for our son who had an absolute blast!!! Thank you thank you for a wonderful day!!!!
Raven has been a godsend to our family for the past two plus years. I trust her implicitly. She loves children and they love her. I am happy she is persisting with childcare and enrichment because this is so needed.
As a first time mom finding the perfect daycare for my baby was essential. I visited over 10 daycares around my area and nun of them convinced me till I met Ms. Maria! She is so sweet and profesional, her passion for her job is beyond limits. I feel extremely safe leaving my baby with her while I work. Not only does she give her organic homemade foods daily, she also keeps me updated of everything which warms my heart. With the pandemic going on the health of my baby is my number one priority, with Ms. Maria I KNOW that not only is my baby safe but she is also very well taken care of. From fun activities to holiday parties I know my little one also enjoys being a part of her Pumpkin Patch 🧡!!!
We are very happy with Lakeshore Learning Center! Our toddler has been attending, and very quickly we feel like it's an extended part of our family. The staff is very kind, caring, attentive. The teachers, director, everyone on staff seems to know and love my child. They all help out, and it's a very friendly environment. You can feel the positive vibe in the facility. I'm grateful for the staff there and the program's they offer. I plan on having my son attend until he ages out which will be many, many years!
The Lakeshore Learning Center has a wonderful staff. With a clean and inviting atmosphere for any age. The staff all answered the very many questions I had for them. I feel that my child is in caring and attentive hands.
Our 4yr old son went here when the schools were closed due to covid. They seemed to have a good curriculum, and an app for you to contact the teachers. My son especially liked the yoga they did. I would have went back for the summer session, but we moved!

We love it here and I can leave to work at peace knowing that we are leaving our daughter in great hands. Our princess has learn so much here and I will recommend it here for any parent looking for a daycare.
My daughter attends the Daycare, and so far I been great for her and me because she has become smart and independent at the daycare and the service it excellent.
My daughter has gone to this school since the learning center opened. We have been very happy with the team here at this school. The owner Mrs Dawn does a great job of only hiring staff that wants to have a career in teaching. Not just a job. The school offers great meals that are healthy and nutritious. Mrs Becky makes sure all kids have the meals they need when they arrive to school or at lunchtime. There have been some staff change as people move on with their lives. But Lakeshore Learning makes it an easier transition. I would definitely recommend this school to others.

I love taking my grandkids to The Play Space. Great staff! Friendly, clean and they have been doing a great job following the rules during this pandemic. It's nice to be able to have a place to go.
They are amazing at the playspace; very active and my son loves the space and the caregivers - really a nice gem in Carroll Gardens and highly recommended
My son loves coming here. Melissa is very engaging, and my kid looks forward to go every time. He is often bringing crafts that he made with her. With daycares closed due to the pandemic, and my husband and I back to work, this place has been a blessing. They also have date night hours, and my husband and I were finally able to get a few hours to ourselves!!! Love this place.
Great place to learn about the Asian culture through Asian Lunar New Year festival, Asian Heritage Tour and Chinese class. The agency also offer various quality community programs such as the wellness program for fitness/teahouse/recreation, summer and winter camp, a brand new senior center, financial opportunity center to jump start your career and public benefit assistance.

My daughter is speaking Spanish at the age of 4. Thanks Magic kidz the best place where a child can learn and have fun at the same time.
I've had my child enrolled there for a couple of months and now I'm looking for a different facility as she's been injured there several times by other children and the teachers never see anything happen. She'll have injuries at least twice (from scratches to bites) a week and one of the teachers comments was that I should teach her to defend herself and I don't agree on that that's what the teachers are there for to stop behaviors from escalating especially when my child is not the one that is being violent towards other kids.
Went here for Chinese New Year. It was a cold day, so walking around was not ideal. They provided some food stalls/truck. The event was inside a building though, so I wasn't cold. The people that participated are very talented and there was no fee to get in. I will come back here again next year.
We love Lakeshore Learning Center! My daughter loves Miss Anna and Miss Erin. She's excited to go every day. The center is light and bright and clean. Dawn does a great job making all feel welcome and keeping parents informed. Thank you to the whole team. We are so happy you chose to join our community.

Multiple programs, good after school program, great for neighborhood
I was brought home from the hospital as a newborn to the building behind it, and grew up a block away, so I'm a little biased. But it is a great place for after school activities and parties. It also keeps the neighborhood kids out of trouble.
It is a very good place for having fun with kids! It is clean and cell maintained. The interior is looking better than any other kids fun places I've ever been to.
They have nice cafe, air hockey, two separate playgrounds, three play zones, Xbox with enormous screen and huge toddler area.
The equipment in excellent condition.
Staff is friendly and nice.
Definitely recommend visiting this with kids.
