I had a fantastic experience at Carbon Health! From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and attentive. The waiting area was clean and comfortable, which helped ease my anxiety about my visit.

The check-in process was smooth, and I didn’t have to wait long before being seen by a healthcare professional. The nurse was friendly and thorough, taking the time to listen to my concerns and answer all my questions. Dr. Ruben Macías was incredible – knowledgeable, caring, and made sure I understood my diagnosis and treatment options.

I’m grateful for the level of care I received and would highly recommend Carbon HealthCare to anyone in need of prompt medical attention!

Never come here again, very very slow. There was no patients in the lobby, I have been waiting for almost 40 minutes total. Definitely do not suggest to come to this location. But the front desk girl was very friendly!
I had a really bad earache came here and was in and out in like 15 minutes. Diagnosed and prescribed the antibiotics I needed to feel better. Best urgent care experience Rolf my life! Definitely recommend.
I don't know how this place could have good reviews, this is by far the most unprofessional urgent care I've ever been to, I'm sure they'll reply to this with some comment but this is what I experienced going here, I came in for a drug test and my first introduction to this place was the door was just locked at 3:30pm with patients inside looking at me. The door said "door is not locked it just pulls hard", it was locked.... Next thing was the were medical assistants sleeping at the main desk in the back, three of them to be exact. I don't want to be that guy but come on, at least hide in a different room or something. The best part of my visit is my driver's license was lost, I didn't notice when I left but I got home and realized I never got my license back. I called the place and they told me they handed me my license before I took my test, this didn't happen, it couldn't have happened because I checked everywhere and couldn't find it. They told me on the phone and said I put my license in my wallet and then took my drug test, yet I have no license, like I just don't understand. To their credit they said they looked for it and I could come look for it if I wanted but the cost of me driving out would have been more than just replacing my license. So yeah, great times for an annual drug test, I'll never come back, doubt this place will even be around in a year or two with how unprofessional this place is, if you're going here for actual treatment, I don't even know what to say, there are a million better options in the area, avoid it.
Friendly and Amazing staff! I was worried and nervous going in with a hurt ankle. We were greeted immediately. Check in was quick. And all the exams were smooth and simplified so that i could fully understand what the next step was!
They even brought out a wheelchair for me without me having to ask for one. 100/10 recommend!
Scheduling with Solv/Prognify is always easy especially once you’ve done it once. I had no co pay with BCBS complete. The front receptionist was friendly and quick to address me when I was at the counter! The medical assistant with red and black knotless braids was kind, gentle and did fantastic asking questions and answering any I had. The NP with brown hair and freckles was equally as kind and gentle. I felt like all my concerns were addressed and they really did stay with me until I was fully satisfied. They also cleaned my ear which I know wasn’t pleasant so I’m very grateful. I’d recommend this location a million times but I’d hate to see it busy🤪 I’d like to keep it as my special urgent care gem that actually has quality staff and care. However, I’m hoping any extra business provided will go into the staff pockets more importantly. Thank you Prognify staff on Washtenaw!
I came here a month ago for a COVID PCR test. At the time, there was confusion between staff on how to bill this appointment, but I assumed they figured it out. I just received my bill and it was for $300...
I've been calling for the last 3 days with no response. Half the time I call, no one even answers the phone. I've left three voicemails with the billing person now and haven't been called back. I've left voicemail on the main number as well and no help...
I'm beginning to wonder if this is even a legitimate business at this point. Why can't I reach someone to ask my questions to and why doesn't anyone call back?

Friendly front desk. Great experience with the doctor. The problem is that there was only 1 doc on duty and they scheduled 4 or 5 patients for the same time slot. Needless to say the wait was unnecessarily long.
Arrived today at 515pm and they said without an appointment, they couldn't see me because their system was slow... There was only 1 person in the waiting room and while I was there, that person got called in, so no one else was there! They had time to see me.
It's so frustrating when you call your PCP, they don't have an appointment for the week, you're told to go to this specific urgent care because they close at 7pm, I get here at 515pm and get told no because no appointment!!! I'm sick, not feeling well, dizzy, and they don't care. Also want to add that they had their sign saying walk ins here. So you don't necessarily need an appointment for an urgent care. AND, the guy at the front was able to look up my insurance AND tell me I had been there before to another location, AND he was able to sign me up for an "appointment" for tomorrow (I got the confirmation email right away), so it doesn't sound like the system was slow. THIS IS HOW/WHY THE ERs GET PACKED and OVER USED, and then the ppl that are REALLY DYING, GET DELAYED CARE AT THE ER! THIS IS WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE HEALTH SYSTEM!
My grandson was visiting for the summer and became ill and needed to see a doctor. After being given a referral, I anxioualy called Carbon Health Urgent Care and thankfully was able to schedule an appointment that same morning. I am extremely pleased with my experience at this office. The young lady in the front office was friendly and processed us in quickly. The office was .clean and the wait was really short. The nurse was very kind and the physician assistant was awesome (wish I could remember his name). He really took his time during the appointment. I found him to be very througjh, informative, patient, kind and personal. Talking to him was like talking to a friend. And I really appreciate that he educated us on fevers and viruses and how they impact the body. It was enligjtening and he made it a great educational experience which eased alot of my concerns. I left the appointment feeling relieved and grateful that I found this place!

I highly recommend Carbon Health in Cerritos, for anyone in need of urgent care services.
Office was very clean. Front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Back office staff was knowledgeable and saw me immediately. Excellent appointment over all.

First time I went to this location was roughly two and a half years ago to get tested for COVID, and I was in and out within five, MAYBE ten minutes, at most. My second time at this location was yesterday due to feeling lightheaded and dizzy for a full day and not knowing what was causing it. Every single person I interacted with was PHENOMENAL. Everyone was so kind, and the whole experience made me feel at ease in what may have otherwise been a stressful / anxiety-filled visit. And again, I was practically in and out of there, I didn't have to wait to be seen, and whenever someone stepped out of the room, I didn't have to wait long for them to return. I cannot recommend this place enough
Would not recommend. Came in with a few symptoms. Doctor had my paper printed out before seeing me. Told me to take Zolfran for vomiting. No tests done at all.

I asked to cancel it or if I could dispute today’s visit. They canceled it. 1 star for the cancel.
My issue was hard to talk about. The staff at AFC made me feel comfortable. Dr. Lewis was compassionate and easy to talk to. Thank you AFC ...your a rare bunch (in a good way).

Jennifer and Jissel both helped me at my recent appointment. They were friendly, & efficient. No one enjoys getting their blood drawn - but I almost didn’t even know it was happening! It was so fast and easy. They both answered any questions I had. I was very satisfied with the care I received during my visit. Thank you!!
I really appreciate the friendly service and care they have provided. I've gone for myself and my kids several times over the last couple of years when things just don't seem to happen during "regular business hours". Everyone has taken good care of us and called to follow up after the visits. Thank you!
Convenient location. Nice office staff and I saw a knowledgeable physician assistant. The inside could use some upgrading. The doctor ordered me a test, but they did not have it in stock. They gave me something else. The doctor also sent in a prescription for me that was denied from my insurance for some reason? The pharmacy was trying to get a hold of them, but they were already closed. Bummer because I really needed the medication that night. I would go back again if I had to.
I wish that more providers at AFC urgent care provided preventative women's care like Pap smears, which they used to do. I don't always have a PCP and knowing that AFC could bridge the gap was really helpful. Other than that, I highly recommend their services. The locations are pretty convenient, I feel safe, and the healthcare workers are knowledgeable. I also appreciate that the person I spoke to on the phone before I officially made an appointment looked up my insurance just in case. Apparently, not all insurances consider wellness/annual check-ups to be PREVENTATIVE which is totally stupid, but thankfully mine did cover this service. Be aware of that nonsense!
I had my wellness here and had a great experience. The staff is personable and courteous; especially Mackenzie front desk and Daphne medical assistant. Will def recommend to friends and family.
Super easy process to check in. No waiting as a walk-in and the staff was friendly and helpful. The nurse practitioner who saw me was thorough in diagnosing me and ordered the prescriptions to the drug store I chose quickly. Then she explained each medication in an easy-to-understand way .
Easy appointment booking. However I waited over 30 minutes to get called to the back. I had expressed concern over having a headache for 5 days, sore throat and leg muscle aches. Had tested negative for Covid the prior day. NP elected not to test me again and said it sounded like sinus issues. I tested positive for Covid the next day 😢
Smooth process, very kind + attentive staff. We were in and out of there in less than an hour. Very impressed with this clinic.

Edit** I had to return the other day as a follow up from an ER visit the week prior. I wasn’t getting better, so I went here to follow up.
Before I came in, I saw several negative reviews from the NP Karen. While she does have a dry personality, I have to disagree with the negative reviews. We initially disagreed about her first approach, I was kind but firm in my response. She immediately apologized and restructured what she was saying and was completely validated. I believe she is a great woman and a great provider. Just most likely misunderstood from the dry personality. Thank you, Karen for taking good care of me a getting me on the road to better health. 🤍

If I could leave zero stars at all I would. I went in for a reoccurring illness that I am prone too, the NP Karen Thomas
was rude from the jump, she had the audacity to ask me why I came here instead of the ER. Um let’s see like most Americans my insurance sucks I work for minimum wage, and needed to get seen. I’m sorry I brought you business she then had the nerve to attack my life choices, because they did not match up with hers. When I was cracking jokes and using dark humor about my situation she decided to get even ruder. I have worked in the medical field most my life and I have never seen a NP act like that. I am utterly appalled at the treatment I have received at this place.

Clean space, and inviting atmosphere of loving kind smart women. Great Experience from the moment walking in, to being called back by the same doctor to hear my results.

I found this place online and had a million questions about getting same day testing.
But I felt instantly welcomed and relieved when Angelina greeted me checked me in super fast at the desk with a smile , and had Dr. Dianne come to answer my questions directly before even being seen, to make sure I was informed. Nurse Ayesha was also very kind and comforting, She had a can-do attitude which she certainly needed to find and catch my veins. And Last but not least Dr. Dianne & Dr. Alexis were so helpful and gentle with my pap. Dr.Dianne actually educated me about my concerns , in a way that left me assured. Great Bed Side manners. If you get Rick Lee NP… request a new provider. Power trip of a man who even after speaking with a specialist MD on the topic who said clear to work, refused to pass it.
The whole staff was extremely friendly and efficient! The receptionist was very kind and helpful getting me setup. Barely any wait too! Eloisa the nurse was very kind and had great listening skills and patience with me. She was able to get through everything without dismissing any of my issues. The PA Joseph was very attentive and kind. Knew exactly what to try and was fast about it too without making me feel rushed. First portland Doctor experience and I am very pleasantly surprised! I’m so used to having my needs ignored or dismissed it was nice to hear Joseph offer to get a referral for further investigation. Something I’m used to having to almost beg for in other places I’ve lived. Also I was the last patient of the day and everyone still gave 100%! I felt like everyone enjoyed their jobs and wanted to help me. Great urgent care! Highly recommend!

Took off work early , had an appointment . Had uploaded my insurance card and Id before the appointment. When I get there told that they don’t accept my insurance and it would be $165 for the visit . That’s ridiculous. I just had my other son there a few weeks ago ( after the new year ) and there was no issue with my insurance.
Staff was very rude and not a single person, seemed to care how I was feeling and it was almost a rush to see how fast they could get me out of there. I’ve been sick with a soar throat , mucus chest congestion, sinus and ear pain, and a fever for 4 days straight now, and both medical assistant and NP had an attitude asking “what?!” “What?!” Every time I said something. Just got the impression I wasn’t being taken seriously or given the time of day. I work in the medical field and could never speak to patients that way.
Very friendly office staff, very patient medical staff. Clean facility that operates efficiently. I've never been there longer than an hour total for a full DOT physical and paperwork. They even faxed the form to the state DMV for me!
I’ve felt very uncomfortable when my physical was taking place I do not wanna go into detail , but it was my first time ever having a male doctor and he mad me not ever wanna have another !

Always quick and reasonably priced. Staff members are efficient. I have been here several times over the years, and I think other people's low stars come from the patient being rude, not the staff. Maybe the receptionist was changed, because when I went, there was a man out front who was perfectly kind and got me registered quickly.
Worst experience ever had a 1:15 appointment for urine screen and sat so long i had to relieve myself. 2pm still not attended to after everyone after me all came and went. Prepare for a long unpleasant wait.
Very unprofessional . unless you like to get yelled at and belittled please conduct business else where . This company was very nasty towards me , Diagnosing me with things that are false . The communications between the company and us consumers is terrible . I was sent around in circles just to get yelled at every time I complied with what I was asked to provide . The Owner is very rude and made me feel extremely uncomfortable in person and over the phone . Honestly with his level of anger towards me over a simple matter makes me feel concerned for my safety . I was told to come back in and i’m scared to come in just for more confrontation . I was told over the phone that I “Talk more than I listen “ as professionals this is absurd and they need to practice better people skills .
Waiting on the doctor the nurse or front desk employee who had me waiting in the room had the door opened which that’s a privacy issue. After the doctor was done seeing another patient he told me to come to a room across the hall where a patient literally just walked out did not disinfect anything . Do not recommend
So a year or so ago I had accidentally cut my finger (very bad) at work. I put bleed stop on it, wrapped it up and rushed over to get it looked at. They said they couldn't see me because I had gotten the bleeding to stop. I was beside myself that they wouldn't even clean it up and bandage it for me. At that time I left a 1 star with no review.
Don't ask me why, but today I went back in for a bad sinus infection I have. We have top notch insurance, but like many other comments on here, they said it'd be $200 to see a NP.
I'd say fire that snotty receptionist, but she fits in perfectly with the rest of the staff. When your company is rotten to the core you have to cut the head off the snake and start fresh.
My experience was very much like another reviewer's. I also asked about a wait time and was not given a time frame. I understand they don't want to provide timeframes in case something changes, but a rough ballpark estimate would be enough. The rude front desk lady, whose name is Veronica, is clearly an efficient worker and is good as her job in aspects that don't require interpersonal communication. She's rude, sarcastic, and says snide remarks in such a way that they will not be perceived as explicitly rude, but how she conveys it tells all. She's very patronizing.

The PA and medical assistant that helped me were kind and helpful, so the stars I did give are for them. But the receptionist's catty, unwelcoming attitude really ruined the experience.
I went in for a pre-employment drug screening. ( Recently hired) The lady at the front desk was curt and dismissive. Did not look me in the eyes. When I asked about a wait time , because someone was waiting for me and I had to pee really bad. She didn't give me a time frame and when I asked a question about on how to fill a section of the form, she was rude and not informative. I felt like she was treating me like a criminal. Awful experience.
I went to this medical center to do a 5 panel drug test I made sure to tell them that I need this test for the PUC because it’s for a commercial driver they gave me one that was not for a commercial driver and when I called them back they were rude and told me it’s not our fault and we will not send any results to the lab either.
I was very happy with my care at this facility! We travel full time so when we need a Doctor it always feels like a “crap shoot”! I am so happy I chose this Urgent Care. The wait was not very long, the staff was all great and the PA I saw was wonderful and understanding of my condition. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone in need. Thank you
P.A Wood is very loud and lacks patience, It almost felt like she was yelling at me instead of being informative. She came off impatient while listening to my response to her questions. I gave her one star because there's not an option for 0. Horrible bedside manners.
Dr. Buena diagnosed a misdiagnosis of another physician. I will be using him again.

I go to Golden west all the time in fact Dr C is my doctor He's a great guy knows his stuff and will make sure your know what is needed to feel better and He knows his meds I'm sure most do but I had a strange combo of meds when I was with a large medical place that starts with a K, Doctor C took me off of two and replaced it with one and have never felt better !
The office staff has no idea what they are doing. I called to get an appointment however when I got there suddenly they didn't. I told them that they were listed on my insurances website as taking my insurance and was told that they do but they wont take mine. They wasted an hour of my time would not recommend them to anyone.
