Great time here at the Rock Club.
Purchased a Groupon and decided to visit on a Friday morning. Called ahead and the front desk staff were very quick in getting back to me to confirm that a belayer was available at that time. They also confirmed the Groupon over the phone. I went ahead and completed the required waiver forms online prior to our visit.
Adequate parking was available at that time. The Rock Club (downstairs) shares its space with a with a tennis club, so make sure you follow the ramp down toward the Rock Club entrance and NOT the stairs whih leads to the tennis club.
We arrived at around 10am and it was fairly empty. The Rock Club staff explained the process and set us up with climbing shoes.
We were then introduced to our belayer who was awesome. Over the next hour, we tried climbs ranging in difficulty. The wall heights range from about 35-40 feet and the peg placement and wall angles vary throughout the climbs, making some more difficult than others. We even had some time to try some bouldering. Our belayer was great at explaining techniques and technical terms. She was very patient and very encouraging...though not "pushy" at all.
After we finished, the staff was nice enough to show us around to see what else was available at the facility: childrens area, common areas, training rooms and weight rooms.
May go without saying...wear comfy clothes. As a regular gym-goer, but someone who has NOT climbed before, this was a welcomed challenge. Certain muscles, particularly the forearms and core, may not be part of the typical gym regimen...but are very important in climbing...that being said, I was definitely feeling it the next day.
Overall we had a great experience at the Rock Club. We will deinifitely look into other classes.

Súper nice place to climb, a lot of boulders to try without a harness but also the possibility of using the auto-belay. The cave is awesome!
I've been going here for three years. The walls are a little outdated and grading can be pretty varied, but it's a fantastic gym.
The top rope is fantastic, and I believe it better than several of the other gyms in the nearby area. There are walls of varying height, with hugely varied geometry, including a massive arch for lead climbing. I don't lead climb, but the top rope routes are always fun.
The bouldering isn't fantastic, but there is a large variety of climbs in whatever wall surface area there is. There are two small slab walls and a significant portion of the rest of the walls are large overhangs. They grade by a color system, with each grade being a range of V-rating (example- purple tape can range from v0-v2). If you don't think too hard about the rating system, you will enjoy many of the routes that are set.
The staff is very friendly and create a comfortable atmosphere to make you feel welcome and at home.
While I occasionally check out other gyms in the area if I feel like mixing it up a bit, and have friends that go elsewhere, I keep coming back here and is the only place I've been a member.

Rock gym is great. All ages. Staff is friendly and helpful. Really great place for kids or adults !!
This place ruined my friend’s life permanently from irresponsible safety features that led to permanent suffering and multiple bone fractures and other I juries. If you care about your life or safety do not come here. I also know of another person who had a similar experience where the safety mats below the climbers was moved by a staff member and the person ended up falling and breaking both femurs. These clowns should not be in business. Do not play with your life. This business is shameful and should be shut down..
First time being in this indoor rock climbing place and I absolutely loved it. Well maintained and structured. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. There are different kind of climbing walls from easy level to upper lever so you can practice your climbing skills. Nice place to spend some quality time with your friends and family. There are events rooms to book for your special events like birthdays etc. Bathrooms and locker rooms are clean , some gym equipments around to warm up before you start.
Very cool and good gym. Well set and solid grades. I brought my 6 five year old children for their birthday and it was a blast. There was also this guy with a cool mustache who was very helpful I think he climbs v9!
Amazing party for my 5yo at DG. HUGE open space with plenty of room. Love how they don’t cram 5 parties on the floor at once. We’ll be back!!
Yesterday was our first time here, I was looking for a good place to take my son and my nephew nearer to the nephew's home then our local. I called ahead to try to get an idea how many auto belays they had to know how much of our time we'd spend belaying each other. What I didn't expect was how much bouldering there was. There's some nice routes auto belayed or top roped and an interesting lead wall. But the whole center of the place is bouldering problems of many levels. The boys were very impressed. They even have an inclined cave you can try to solve the roof of, up to a different bouldering area (I took the stairs). I even highly recommend the torta place next door when we were ready for a break. Though I was done climbing after that lunch. Now I wish this place was closer to my house.
It’s a good space with a number of good climbs available. The reason I’m giving it three stars is for two reasons. First, the top roping area is very tight and we saw a few close calls with kids almost hitting each other. Second, the staff wasn’t particularly pleasant, I got the impression that we were more of an annoyance than welcomed customers.
Unpretentious, casual vibe, good for an older crowd. Sometimes the music sucks, but you can always request to have it changed. Sean and his immediate team are great.
Best climbing gym in New York! Very friendly staff, I worked with an instructor called Kemmy Ortago. They were very knowledgeable, my seven nieces and nephews had a wonderful time. Kyle Folks Douglos was also very helpful at the desk and he did a human flag.
Great place to climb. Still has the small town climbing gym feel, something you can't find at the corporate gyms. Grades are stiff for a gym, you earn every climb.
First time coming here and it was amazing, I wish I got my teachers name but she was the nicest and had the best attitude. Rock climbing is awesome, definitely left with some battle scars but that’s what it’s all about, also way more peaceful and clean than the gym I currently go to lol it’s a nice breather.
Fantastic staff and lovely members. My son Kenny was having difficulty on a challenging climb and when one of the front desk workers Ivy saw they came up and gave him individual attention (they called it "beta" !) and he finished his climb and couldn't have been happier! Will definitely be returning.
We hosted our daughter’s party here, and it was a big hit. Staff was great, and it was one of the most well run parties we’ve ever experienced. Thank you, Benjamin and all the other members on your team that made our daughter’s day special!
Quite possibly one of the best bouldering gyms in the area. The staff were as friendly as they were professional. The facilities were clean, orderly and everything you need is within reach. If I live closer I would definitely be a regular member.
Fun climbing gym staffed by friendly people. Method is known for their boulder walls and routes with a few and I mean few top rope routes. Overall a great place. There is also a cafe on the ground floor.

My daughter, normally don't like anything, loves this place.
This is a great place to stop off at if you're looking for a cozy and intimate climbing experience. Everyone at the gym was friendly and helpful. We were shown around by Connor, he was fun to talk to, easy to get along with and just in general very helpful for this being our first time to this gym. The cave is one of the cooler features I've seen for bouldering, and worth a trip here for just that. This gym has a great selection of differently designed bouldering walls that really encapsulate many different wall types. Plus the new addition is a welcomed one with their cool high ball type boulder wall. All in all I would definitely come back when we are in the area.
Nice place, kids had a blast… prices could be more reasonable though and the front desk staff was rude. Hopefully they will be more professional next time.
I’ve been going to this place for a bit now I can tell you all that it’s such a wonderful environment. Everyone is so kind, attentive and considerate. I’ve personally never taken a class before but my friends have told me that the coaches are amazing. Unfortunately as I am moving I will no longer be able to attend but Daniel at the front, super kind and patient, even helped me cancel my membership when I wasn’t able to access it. Highly recommend for anyone of any age!

It’s an amazing experience! Celebrated my child birthday there and everyone had fun. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They even encouraged my daughter when she became frightened in one of obstacle course above ground. We had great time and will be back.
Pretty cool gym. Decent boulder setting so far, nice lead walls and even has a range of single pitch permanent crack problems.
Just got home from my first climb there and it was a lot of fun! it's definitely a harder gym, their v0's would be v2's in other gyms but they have some super interesting routes set up and everybody is so friendly and helpful! can't wait to come back and conquer more of their boulders!
We had a great time. It's not too crowded in the evening which is a nice time to go. Jay was awesome! He was super patient and friendly. If it wasn't for him my daughter who was petrified on the rope course wouldn't have been able to make it through. Hapik has a great staff! Will definitely be revisiting again.
This place is horrible. The system crashed. I spend $300 dollars and my bracelet said I had no time. Asked for a refund and they offered me a gift card with 300 on it. This was labor day weekend and still can't recieve my refund. This is the thing that happens when you hire the youth of today. This place is not my favorite. Stay away. Your better off spending the gas money and going to Six Flags. Probably cheaper.
It was a pretty cool place for all ages to climb! My niece and daughter had a great time. Only wish there were food options here.
At $248/month for a family of four, which doesn't include equipment rental fees, a membership at Movement is expensive and really only grants you access to climbing. You still have to pay for climbing instruction. The cardio/weight room is small and inadequately equipped. The fitness classes are few and far between. All in all, there isn't enough value here to justify a membership.
Friendly place, great staff. Peter gave our intro class and was great. Lots of easy and lots of challenging top line and bouldering climbs.
Great little gym tucked in a residential area in New Rochelle. For novices: friendly staff, lots of instruction, places to sit and hang out. For climbers: grippy walls, new holds, interesting routes that seem to be mostly 5.10 and up. Both old school and modern, somehow. Will climb again.
I love Movement’s location in Hampden. I spent a year in Remington, and came here almost 5 times a week, both to climb and to workout.
For climbing - the routes are reset on a great schedule. Just frequently enough that the whole gym always has something new, but slow enough to give you plenty of time to project. It is bouldering only - no top ropes.
For the gym - big enough area to work out, even for someone that doesn’t climb at all.
The yoga is a great bonus as well. Fun variety of classes throughout the week. Instructors are super fun and accommodating for newbies - don’t be afraid to get in there!

My favorite place! Best community, amazing climbing, doesn’t get much better than this. Been climbing here the past couple years and it never disappoints. They’ve got something for people of all skill levels, as well as an awesome fitness facility. Makes me happy to see family owned gyms like this thrive. I’ll be coming back here far into the future!
It's a terrific place to have children's birthday parties! Our group had a gymnastics instructor who had the kids doing many fun things. There was no need to have prior gymnastic experience; however after today, I am sure several children will be signing up for lessons. It was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend it.

We just left the adventure park and - like always - we are SO impressed. The staff is so kind and especially the patient guy working behind the prize counter. The arcade area is always so clean and spotless. I like the size with small children - easy to keep eyes on them. Music is kid appropriate and just the entire facility is very well run. Very happy to have this spot in lubbock for a fun time with kids
Fun! Literally spent the entire day at the adventure park going from one thing to another. I wouldn't definitely recommend a trip here.

Love this place I could get a daypass for $17 and some shoes for 5 and leave for an hour to eat and come back still able to climb and have my rentals. Bouldering is super enjoyable here very few kids in that area. But the auto belays have lots of kids if that bothers you. Cave is awesome and so is the second floor. Lots of helpful climbers and staff and the place is clean
We recently visited this location and it was my daughter first time claiming, it was difficult at first but at the end she loved it, the guys here were very helpful at all times will definitely be back soon
This is a great place for family fun! We spent most of the time playing putt putt golf and a good time on the go carts. The boys got on the jungle gym and tried the rock wall. There was overcast so it helped with the hot sun. The buckets of beer were a good price and were nice and cold.
Brought the kids for some fun. Zipline is only open on Saturdays weather permitting. The Lazer maze is real small. The arcade games area is also small. They have two mini golf areas. The rockwall climb is a challenge as well as the rope climbing. The water buggies are fun with the family shooting water at each other. And the go-karts are also fun.
As of now, this is my favorite climbing gym in Maryland. They have a lot of good climbing services that give a good collection of challenges for all types of climbers. The route setting is amazing. The 5.11s felt accurate for indoor climbing levels. There are many routes set up, so you will never run out of climbs.

I've heard about this gym for years, from YouTube videos and friends. I love the architecture, the spotlights. They have all the best climbing holds, many of which I've never seen before. The routesetting was excellent, on par or better than other local gyms. There were a lot of fun climbs made with expensive holds, which is rare to find in the lower grades. There was plenty of hard stuff, some comp style problems, a wide range of hold types and textures. There was not much overhang, except for a more bare bones old school room in the back with a 45° and maybe even steeper overhang.
The people at the front desk were very nice.
I had a negative experience signing the waiver, It was a very long complicated process and the front desk person had to help me navigate the iPad.
Parking was disappointing. There is a garage across the street, But the gym charges $4 to validate the ticket. Not sure how much this ends up saving you, but for the price of a day pass they should include parking.
Overall the gym was cool to visit. I would definitely visit again.

The energy here is fantastic and the climbing is top-notch.

Bouldering gym only. The facility was clean and staff was friendly. My problem with it is that it’s not a great place for beginners or people getting back into it like myself. The V0s were fairly easy then going into V1s we’re a bit defeating. As well as every time I’ve come it’s been packed with people. Maybe it’s just me but I’d enjoy some more beginner routes.
Great rock climbing gym! Plenty of routes for beginners and advanced climbers. Friendly and efficient staff members make it an enjoyable experience. Wednesday nights are buy one get one free admission, and they have other specials as well. I feel very comfortable in this gym and enjoy the variety of bouldering and top roping climbs they have.
We went as a group of 5 and had such a great instructor !! His name was Daniel. We really enjoyed the experience!

This was the third birthday party we’ve attended. This place is so much fun for the kids! I would definitely recommend.
Very cool! The bouldering walls were great. There wasn't a lot of climbs suitable for semi newbies, it seemed to go from Intro climbs that were super easy to V1's that were pretty agrressive, but the gym was clean, well lit, and we loved playing pool, too! The yoga class I attended was also great. We would definitely go back if we lived in the area.
What a fun place to challenge your climbing abilities! I had a great time with my friend and her children and will be back. Not just for kids-very adult friendly and challenging.
What an amazing place in Lubbock! We had fun all day! It was great and there are many things to do ... Best arcade ... Really cool miniature golf and climbing center. The go carts where super fun ... Same track that's always been there ( if your familiar with putt putt ... Great atmosphere !!
Great bouldering gym with a really solid weightlifting area and yoga studio inside it as well. Didn't realize how good it really was until I went to 3 other bouldering gyms out of state. The facilities are kept incredibly clean and organized -- and the style of routes (same color holds for each problem) make life incredibly nice.
Staff are also incredibly friendly and more than happy to help out. One staff member spent upwards of an hour helping me find the perfect first pair of climbing shoes to buy, giving me lots of great advice.
I've brought multiple friends and family here to introduce them to bouldering, and plan on showing it off even more.

Nice climbing gym. Large bouldering set-up plus traditional fitness equipment and weights. Appropriate for all ages and experience levels. Also have food available and a pro shop. Convenient location.
We came to Hapik to celebrate my son’s birthday and it was a very positive experience. Kids loved it (grown ups too) and we will definitely be back.
It’s clean and spacious, staff is nice and helpful (although I think more staff would be helpful especially on busy days).

Update 9/1/2023: We went back recently and I was happy to see that they were very attentive, patient, and kind to all the children. There were two large summer camp groups right before us and they handled it very well. The kids were able to go on all areas to their hearts content. We went in the afternoon so I can't speak to if they limit areas right before closing. Looking forward to bringing them back again.
We went when they first opened and continued to go because my three children loved it. However stopped going bc of an incident. Took off two stars because the staff helping seemed to be inconsistent. Depending on who is there, they can be very kind and attentive to help with the areas that need assistance: the obstacle course above and the slide. Other times, I have had staff seem annoyed if the kids want to go in the assisted areas more than once and they’ve had to wait a bit to be helped.
One evening we went in during the last hour and 30 minutes into our time, they told us and another family who was there that we could not use the assisted areas anymore. Two of my children had only gone on the obstacle course once. And one of them didn’t get to go. They were more concern with closing and cleaning up. Wish we were at least forewarned. I was upset because we paid for the full hour and my children were disappointed. We haven’t been back since. So maybe don’t go during the last hour.
As a previous review mentioned, I did notice some inappropriate music being played as well.
We will try it again and see if any improvements have been made. This place has potential to be a 5 star if the staff is more consistent from person to person. Today was my first time going, and I'm going to give my honest opinion. As far as the park itself, it was nice and fun, it was pretty clean for thr most part the water boats were a bit dirty from previous rain, a nice spraying would do justice. The indoor arcade is nice, the Go-Karts were fun, a bit of a wait, but need to make sure no one is allowed to cut in line, it was some teens that cut in front of us to be with one of their mother and it kicked us back hafting to wait 2 more races, should put a sign up or something other than that it was fun. The climbing set yall have at the very top and the 3rd story part, some of the floor is a bit week, and some of the railing needs to be tighten a bit, especially from thst height but over all the quality was good. The golf course is nice, some of the courses that have tunnels are cracked so the ball gets stuck, that could easily be a dress with a patch of cement. The paddle boats shouldn't even exist untill that water gets cleaned up it's very filthy but lots of potential. It's fun for the price point we managed to stay out there 5 hours, how?i have no clue, bathrooms were clean overall good experience EXCEPT WITH THE HISPANIC GIRL CHECKING PEOPLE IN, AND THE WHITE GIRL WORKING THE PIRZE SECTION. I understand they are around kids all day, some bad, some annoying but that doesn't mean you hafto be rude, both young ladies has very bad attitudes and it's like you were bothering them and shirt tempered, and I didn't like that. If you need to chill out go take a break, but don't be rude to people or catch attitudes because it's not going to fly with all of us and if a parent seeing you being rude to their child, could put yall in danger. All I all it was good and fun if the 2 ladies hadn't of put us in a bad mood when we got there, it probably would of been more enjoyable. That's the only reason I'm giving 2 stars.
Great place to build your child confidence while having a great time. My little one enjoyed it immensely. Staff was great! Myaa was wonderful with a postive mind set and Xavier was very helpful. We chose the 2 hour package . Price point was excellent.
Our family had a book-a-climb today. Basically a coach will help you put on the harness and guide you to different rock climbing sites. Brian was a very good coach. He accompanied us the whole time, patient, and focused, and made sure we were safe and had fun. Overall a very good experience!

one of the best gyms out in the tri-state area. community's at 110%. i <3 the staff. location is accessible with public transportation with NJ transit & broad st station. parking is near. there is climbing gear for sale in their cafe.

Great experience. The kids and the adults had a blast. We all want to go back. The team was so helpful and supportive when kids and adults need help. They are welcoming and answer all questions. If you're nervous, go out of your comfort zone and go for it!!

Amazing boulder sets and great rope climbing. Awesome gym even more awesome staff. Inclusive and knowledgeable climbing community. They don’t have a gender neutral bathroom, but do have hygiene products in both rest rooms.
YES MA’AM!!! This place was AWESOME! I was fortunate to be there on a Friday midday, no one was there so I could go wherever I wanted and wasn’t bothered. The staff was friendly and followed orientation rules TO THE LETTER. Eileen is friendly and is clearly passionate about her job/company. The coolest feature of this place that sets it apart is the cave!!! Sooo cooool (see photos). Routes were well set/graded, autobelays are brand new so a little stiff, no big deal though. I could’ve spent 5 hours here but only spent 2 because I’m working in new shoes (ouch ouch ouch). Highly recommend, if only just for the cave.
One of the best gyms I've been to. The facilities are 💯, the community is very welcoming and there is always something happening if not at the gym but also at the cafe. Photos are from the very first day the gym opened, we eventually became members because we just keep coming back
An amazing climbing gym with an awesome community! Joined in August because the fitness area was enticing, but ended up spending nearly all of my time climbing. The staff is incredible - always willing to share tips. And the additional classes are also top notch - yoga, capoeira, etc.
This place is very good for birthday parties. Kids love be here.
And during the day they have classes for different age of kids. Kids are jumping, rolling, running, hanging, hopping... So much fun. I love all activities what they do.

Beautiful new climbing gym with great setting and friendly staff! Mostly bouldering with some top rope. The Cafe is lovely and offers variety of drinks and some pastry. One of the best cllmbing gyms we've been to.

Great place to climb. Friendly staff. Setting is great. I always forget how much I like the setting until I visit again and I am like ohhh I have missed this. Feels like a small community here. Where everyone knows each other. It's very nice. The gym is older but they keep it updated . The mats cover the whole gym, which makes you feel real nice and safe. Also have yoga, children team events, learn to climb, and workout equipment.
This is a rock wall for kids, but it’s not advertised that way. There are many routes and auto belays. There is a small bouldering cave. Many of the holds spin. They have reasonable pricing for 1 hour,$10, but honestly we did not want to stay the hour . The staff was friendly and professional, they let us see the walls before we decided to stay.
Facility is huge and clean with adequate staff and equipment. There is separate viewing area for the parents and visitors to watch over their kids practice. I was able to enroll my daughter for the spring session online on a weekly basis(slots filled pretty soon). But unfortunately I had to drop her from the class after the first session and reached out to the management over an email. They were pretty quick to respond and understood my position and helped me with a refund. I would definitely recommend this place for your kids.

Amazing experience. Our instructor Rashad was great. So well tempered and just reassuring guy when your up about 18 plus feet in the air with a rope.
I highly recommend anyone tired of being stuck inside due to covid and itching for a new experience. Give this a chance its worth it.

Came here with my 5 year old daughter who had never rock climbed before. She absolutely loved it and keeps asking to come back. The staff was super helpful and very friendly too.
I bought a groupon for two and it was honestly a great deal! Ben, our instructor, was very helpful and nice. We had lots of fun and I hope to be back again soon.
Great challenge. Variety of levels for beginning to experienced climbers. Staff was very helpful and made us feel at ease.
Bought a Groupon for $20 (valued at $40), only to find out that this is the same as the regular rate at the gym for a full day pass and belay training. We specifically went on a weekend day as that is the only day they provide belay training. The training lasted a total of 5 min after which we were left on our own to figure out how to climb the walls ourselves. There is no proof of belay certification provided.
There was no staff member in the climbing area to keep an eye on equipment safety (i.e. multiple people were using the equipment and nobody ever checked that it was still safely harnessed). Interestingly the gym never asked for our name, age, any health problems, and they never made us sign a liability waiver for safety. There was no signage in the facility indicating main safety rules.
While the facility was clean, we felt very uncomfortable with the lack of safety and training. We did eventually figure out how to climb and had a fun experience, but would never go back to this facility for the same purpose.

I might be biased cause I work here but OA is a wonderful place, there's a whole lot of really amazing gear rentals and classes/trips that you can take. Love the outdoors and OA is pretty much my gateway to get there.
It’s a damn nice place for bouldering. I’ve been to other rock gyms and they were fun but this one has a great diversity of routes and holds. It’s not just like a few walls with some small cheap holds, there’s a bunch of walls with a ton of unique holds big, small, and in between. the walls are also all different angles and rounded so their much better then just straight 90° walls or whatever. There’s this hanging island thing with a peg board, horizontal grip ladder, and those half ball grips which is fun to try and climb as well. There’s routes for all skill sets and even if you don’t want to climb there’s a gym attached and nice places to sit and watch or shop; and right next door a nice ice cream shop and craft brewery. Even though there were a lot of people kind of on the Saturday afternoon I went we still had barely any trouble finding a bunch of open routes and most climbers are like most Canadians, polite and helpful. Staff, walls, amenities, and all are enough for a solid rounded up 5 star review.
Great place for affordable guider rafting, sea kayaking and hiking trips as well as equipment rentals.
Great experiences climbing here! The staff is great, the vibe is chill, and facility is clean. It is safe and people are courteous. There are a variety of different climbing paths for different skill levels. The bouldering is fun as well. It's not the largest climbing gym in the area, but definitely offers a great space and nice facilities.

The Cliffs for $29 deal was included with a harness and climbing shoes. The staff were very friendly and informative. They give a first time climbers a short introduction and then have fun. Well worth trying at least once.
