Nice skate Park under the bridge. Small kidney shaped bowl and other features.
Very clean and maintained grounds. Plenty of space and trials through the marshes along the river. Great location for sports, large gatherings, and intimate outings

The park is beautiful but the bathrooms are disgusting and bad looking and it smells a lot of urine and then we found a feminine towel in the park that they don't know where the garbage is.🤨🧐🤨🧐😡
Love this park. Would love it more if the ramps weren't black metal that gets molten lava hot in the sun, but still better than half these new plaza style parks. BMX riders opinion here.
This is a beautiful park but the water is completely polluted. The poor turtles and fish are surrounded by empty water bottles and soda cans and plastic gloves (etc) all over the water. Being a Sayreville resident most of my life it saddens me that nobody is doing anything about the trash in the water. The parks are all very nice here, both for skating and playing - but they really should get the water cleaned for the beautiful creatures swimming in it!

Very nice park and the grounds are well kept. 4 baseball diamonds, skate park, basketball courts (6 hoops), kids playground, trails, picnic area, and a huge pool with 2 slides and two diving boards. The pool has music playing, lifeguards, and a snack bar with hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, chicken tenders, and pizza.
Beautiful park and lots of areas to pass the time, barbecue, or hold a birthday. Parking can be an issue as well as people who speed down this road.
Quiet park with some trails. Good for hiking.

This park is now open past 3pm!! They need an attendant over the summer to turn the lights on at night but it is still unlocked. This park is a hidden gem. Probably the best “lot with ramps and shit” parks in NJ.
Very nice skatepark with a lot of nice flat and obstacles
I went last night for the first time. The combi bowl has a coping less section that starts at three and goes to five feet. It’s wonderful for learning roll ins and blunt variations.
An amazing place for skateboarding and cycle sports. Excellent tracks and challenging as well.

Nice park with some unique features. Sheet metal, painted ramps. Asphalt ground. Mix of round and square coping; raised just enough but inconsistent in some places. Big parking lot.
My son Kendall has a way of finding every skatepark near us( Piscataway) to go skateboarding. This was one of the nicest, cleanest, peaceful and versatile. It has bike and walk paths, with benches around the park, a lake, close to food, gas, and eateries. They have lights at the skatepark and the park closes at 11 pm. Had a great day enjoying the weather and the park👍🏾☺️
The park may not be large, but serves the area well, with soccer fields, a football/ open field, baseball fields, a small rec center, tennis and pickle ball courts, and a swimming pool. There is also a volley ball sand pit, toddler playground, and numerous picnic tables and grills. If you walk out the back of the park, you can stroll into the Occoquan nature preserve, that leads into Belmont Bay also.
Was told approx 8-10 skaters are the usuals and city maintains it well. no light though.
Ok was hoping to stop & check this spot out, but all the reviews can’t be wrong, closes at 3!? Who is this park for? Must be 1 of those places you gotta know someone, like some kinda town official. This should be a crime. How do you expect kids or people with day jobs to use the park,Take off???

Great park. Ramps are still in good shape. Pavement is getting a little unsmooth but still completely skateable. Always love coming here for afternoon sessions!
It's an okay skatepark if you're a local. Not exactly beginner friendly besides the upper level ledge area. Google says they close at 10 pm M - W but that is a lie. Why do you close the park during the weekdays like at 7 pm when every other part of the park is accessible to everyone else? Screw the skaters huh. Nice job South Gate.
This park is great! Not in perfect condition, with some patches and cracks here and there, but it's a great set up with a million great lines. The bowl flows awesome with the different roll in spots, so it's great to learn on. Separate street area is linked with a little pump track. Street area has great flow too with a small box good for beginners
It t-stormed 2blocks before I reached it.... No good riding.... Powatan please finish your awning or roof over the entire park.... We all know you have the tax money to doit... We need to ride rainorshine or we get in trouble.
One of the best skate parks in BK. Nice and big and easy to keep speed. Enough space to avoid people when it gets crowded.
Big skatepark with lots rails and ramps. Skatepark located behind swimming pool and tennis courts. Closest parking is on hildreth lot 8
Weird be 5 stars if not for asphalt, very difficult to ride on.
Pretty quirky spot. There are a lot of obstacles crammed into a really tight space so may be difficult for beginners. Both bowls require dropping in to get any kind of momentum--one is actually sloped to one side so...good luck. There are three steep banks and a few ledges with coping. All that said, definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.
Quality place for the youths to hang out and practice their outdoor activities. Memories are made here
My kids loved this park! Great bunch of skaters go there! No funny business as the police station is right there! Great place for all from novice to expert!
Great park for jogging & lake is bigger but no boating.
This skate park has quite a lot of varied terrain! There's plenty to ride for beginners through experts. And a decent amount of shade helps it stay cool.
Don't be fooled by the fancy multi coloured flooring. This is a classic example of cramming so much into a small space, there's nothing actually here worth skating.
That metal skateboard bench is a straight giveaway that this park has been built by the City using the cookie cutter pre fab garbage obstacles you've seen at a hundred other rubbish skateparks.
The raised floor by the quarter pipe is a disaster waiting to happen and why are there 2 ledges next to each other? There's no rollaway from the smaller one heading towards the larger one.
What really takes the biscuit though is the chalky granite style ledge that doesn't grind and doesn't slide. The flat bar is fine though.
You're better off skating flatground on the basketball court I go 10 minutes down the road and dakte Maloof/RFK skatepark.

Playground is fun but no shade, basketball courts, tennis courts, skate park etc. No port-a-potty next to playground but there are others on the grounds.
Best place ever!!! if you ride BMX come slide its really only us on the bikes. Love yall :)
Really cool park , people are nice to each other / leave each other alone to do their own thing for the most part … it needs to get cleaned more often, you can fall really easily on small rocks/debris or sticky stuff on the ground if youre not hyper-aware… they have a broom there sometimes you can use to sweep up if you want to… but the pidgeon poop that congeals into sticky traps theres no way to clean that with a broom so you just have to avoid it… unfortunately thats in a lot of spots. Its still mad fun!! the hbo show Bettys filmed here…
Very cool. Perfect local park. Next to a basketball court you could use to practice handling, etc. Mini pool. Could use a clean up.

My 7 year old son asked me to take him to a skatepark to ride his bike. I googled skateparks near me, and Hazlet park came up. When we first arrived there were just a few young dudes there... within moments they were friendly with my son, and being very considerate of his safety. After an hour or so, many other older dudes showed up.. several of whom were very talented. Again.. despite the speed and space they need for their tricks, they were all real considerate of my son, and were very careful of not colliding with him. Phenomenal place to bring your son ... he immediately assimilated and wanted to impress them. That strengthened his courage and he began taking more aggressive risks, once he realized they were watching him. Very cool day.. very cool place. Thanks to those dudes for being so cool with my son.
Park operator is one of the most unhappy, rude people I have ever experienced and will gladly kick you out if you aren’t on a skateboard. I have been trying to get this policy changed for years but they show no interest in helping the community. MJT skatepark is a disgrace to the skate community and to Freehold Nj.

This is a great park. The ground is a little rough but for a bike it’s money.
My daughter loves skating at the park, and sometimes the entire family will spend Saturday nights here. While indoor venues may not be suitable, it's great to safely connect with neighbors and maintain social distance. The park is a wonderful investment in the community

Wish it was open more, 10-3 really makes it difficult for anyone who's in school or works a M-F day job. Seems like a great park, but only got to experience it because I took a day off work for another obligation and had some time in my morning. It's not like it's watched anyway, so the hours are a joke 🤷
Love Edison! Although they randomly close it from time to time. And don’t go there if it super hot as the ramps are metal and it hurts to hit that in the heat.
Fun! Plenty of shade. Wish there was a dedicated 6 and under section but the place is otherwise awesome.

Such a strange park. It's a good sized space but what they've done with it makes no sense. There's a giant bowl at the back which is good if you can skate it, but the rest just seems like a waste of concrete.
There's zero flow and zero lines, and if more than 1 person skates it you'll probably get in each other's way. Basically zero street aspects to the park. It's also in the middle of nowhere- I got the bus here from a metro station!

Skatepark is a joke because it is never open! Every time i have tried to go it has been closed. Its a beautiful monday afternoon the park is filled with people and kids enjoying every field and playground, but the skatepark is closed?? Can anyone explain why??
A decent skatepark with a good variety of obstacles. It's surrounded by trees so lots of twigs, leaves and branches were on the park. Bring a broom! It might be a bit crowded with 10+ people using it.
It's okay the concrete isn't smooth. Lots of speed is soaked up by that alone. Flow of some sections isn't too good...

Lots of obstacles to challenge your skills and ot gives skaters a place to go. It's also safe because it's across the street from the Edison Municipal Complex.
They need to fix the times, why even bother if it is only open during the week. Other than that the park is fine.
The park looks great, however the only downside are the times. It would at least be better if it were open during weekends, but there's not many days off of school so it's a bother not being able to go there.
Tight spaces, ground is not smoothe to ride on, unstable. Very little variety, with one small pipe. No half pipe , all steel ramps
It should be bigger because there is a bunch of space in the parking lot. The parking lot is to big they should make more ramps but overall it’s good
It's a very fun park, I think it's more geared for pool skating and bowl skating but the street sections still really fun!
Park needs to update skate park hours. Showed up thinking it was open because the site says 24hrs and it was closed...
Cool State Park made out of steel ramps for bikes, scooters, skate board ,rollerblades

Found this skate park in 2012, chill place, in summer theres a lot of shade so u can skate in peace.
Very nice skate park. Everything was well maintained and clean. Pavemant was free of debris. There was a portable toilet at this location as well. Many different ramps, slides, and rails to use. The area also has several parking spots for convenience as well as a large lot across from the skate park. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the passing trains. Highly recommended.
It has most of the things a skate park usually has. Pretty cool people hangout here in the evenings showing off new tricks! Must visit if you are into skateboarding!

I would give this park 5 stars but the facility associated with the park has large water vats for collecting storm water. It's become a breeding ground for mosquitos and a health hazard. I wish there were laws against collecting runoff in our area. Mosquitos are carrying zika!
It’s pretty dope and it has a nice kinked rail and a bunch of flat bars and ledges and a nice mini ramp, also bring a helmet because sometimes they have staff there that won’t let you in without a helmet. No scooters or bikers are permitted in the skatepark.
The website says that Team Pain came through to resurface this park at some point in the last few years. But it's like fixing a pothole - it gets worse and worse until you totally repave it all. Surface suffers from shoddy cosmetic surgery with lumpiness and mismatched surfaces the rule rather than the exception. Only the hips and ground level Crete is intact, with every tranny looking like Frankenstein. It's better than some parks in the area so I didn't give it three, but there's no way this is a five. Great place to cut your teeth as a grom, but not on or with most public parks like it.
Transition skater. This tiny skatepark hides a big pool. 7' drop in at the shallow end, 12' at the deep end. This is the best pool in the northern metro DC area. The concrete has aged and is no longer smooth. Worth the trip if you like to skate pools.
It's a nice place to chill. Layout is HUGE vert bowl (vert doesn't mean simply ramp, it means it has a completely vertical/ straight up and down part on it, as in not horizontal side to side. Normally not much more vertical surface on a vert ramp, than 1 foot. Think "Danny Way"). Also has a smaller bowl (not very) and some very random ledges and things. Lots of shade is nice but more I'd personally suggest sunny side or melrose skateparks.
Awesum. Shaded. Right down street from melrose skatepark. Street plaza type park, means u might have to Ollie n stuff.
What a waste of perfectly good space. Great park never gonna get skated . Sad but true. Everyone else has freed up the parks. Give it a try. Membership and safety equipment is played out!! Still has paint on the spine. Its a sign.
