Enjoyable place for a stroll along the Rock River! Picturesque views, beautiful art pieces outside of the multiple museum campuses. It's a great place for kids to explore the outdoors on your next visit to Burpee Museum of Natural History along with the Discovery Center. The park is free to enjoy by everyone!
This is such an outstanding organization and the Director is an STAR in every sense of the word! See the movie LIFT if you can and learn about their program which teaching ballet to children living in shelters and how it changes their lives.
I was there for the Greenwich Village Art Show.
I couldn't be happier with the ballet school where my daughter attends. The corrections the teachers make are both insightful and constructive, helping her improve with each lesson. What's truly heartwarming is the strong friendships she's formed with her fellow dancers. The teachers are not only incredibly skilled but also kind and approachable, always willing to assist both students and parents. It's impressive to see how involved the kids are in shows from such a young age, fostering confidence and a love for the art.
This school has truly been a wonderful experience for our family.

I highly recommend La Clave Cubana's casino, rudea de casino, and bachata courses as well as their styling and Afro-Cuban workshops. Reinier, Daniela, and all of the instructors create the most welcoming dance community. Their instruction is in English and Spanish. Their performance teams are spectacular and they throw an amazing party!
Great salsa/latin dance lessons, awesome parties, friendly partners to dance with and my first trip to Cuba all from one place: La Clava Cubana Salsa.

I recently had the pleasure of attending La Clave Cubana salsa studio, led by the incredibly talented Reinier and Daniella, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. The first thing that caught my attention was their emphasis on teaching original Cuban salsa. This is where the dance truly comes from, and you can feel the authenticity in every step. The atmosphere they've created is special, amazing, and uniquely Cuban.

Reinier and Daniella's love for teaching salsa shines through in their greatly structured step-by-step lessons. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced dancer, they know how to guide you to success. The way they break down each step makes the learning process a breeze.

What's even more astonishing is that this top-quality instruction comes at a very affordable price, especially when compared to other studios in the Seattle area. It's evident that they're committed to making salsa accessible to everyone.

Last but not least, the vibe at La Clave Cubana is just amazing. The community there is warm, welcoming, and filled with friendly faces. I've made a lot of new friends and feel like I've been introduced to a vibrant and engaging community right here in Seattle.

I wholeheartedly recommend La Clave Cubana to anyone looking to dive into the world of salsa. With Reinier and Daniella leading the way, you're sure to have an exhilarating and enriching experience!
To access the park, there is an admission to the museum. Outdoor recreational Park is weather permitting due to safety precautions.
Great hidden gem, especially not being from this area its absolutely a great day for all ages. Clean and tons to do. Definitely an A+

The Seattle Cuban Dance Fest 2023 was truly an amazing and unique experience. Reinier Valdes and Daniela Gallardo, the host, were very attentive, friendly, and wonderful. All maestros were incredibly talented top notch teachers. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Thank you!
My very first dance class ever was five years ago with New York Theatre Ballet. I joined the adult beginner ballet class not knowing what to expect, but I quickly realized that I had found an amazing group of people and dancers.
The teachers are fantastic! If you ask for help, they will guide you with focused suggestions that are specific to your body and skill level. I have grown so much stronger and more flexible over the years, all while gaining an appreciation of the artistry and athleticism of classical ballet.
If you have ever considered giving ballet a try, or want to restart after some time away, don’t hesitate to join a class. I wish I could give them ten stars!
A gem of a ballet school. Our family is so grateful for the exceptional quality of instruction and training our daughters receive at NYTB, and for the nurturing and empowering environment that Ms. Byer and all of the teachers and staff help to foster.  We've been with the school for over a year and a half and it has been nothing but a great experience for our daughters, and their proud parents. We love being a part of the NYTB family!
Ms. Diana Byer has taught my daughter ballet for over a decade. Ms. Byer, exudes professionalism, excellence, and passion. She is very dedicated to her students, and genuinely wants what is best for them. Through my daughter's time at New York Theatre Ballet, she has developed my daughter's technique, provided her with great opportunities, and opened many doors for success.

I recommend this school and all of its staff who are dedicated to furthering the world of dance and extremely dedicated to what they do. More than anything, this school will prepare your child to be a professional dancer should they want to pursue dance as a profession.
This legendary school, performing arts center, refuge for young and old alike is among the country’s greatest contributors to society. Artistic director, Diana Byer, is a wonderful instructor / leader and feeder of talent to the arts of NYC and Hollywood. Very highly recommended.
My daughter has been a student at the School of NYTB for five years, now returning for her sixth. Diana Byer has created a one-of-a-kind school for young dance students in NYC. For over forty years she has fostered a safe and caring institution where older students take pride in welcoming and caring for younger students; where Ms. Byer and her staff treat our children not only as young professionals but part of the NYTB family. We have always appreciated the serious ballet training that is offered at the school as well as the opportunity for young students to perform in many NYTB performances, building confidence on stage and in life. Along with their LIFT scholarship program, NYTB is a small arts organization that is vital to New York City and its families.
GREAT PLACE TO TAKE YOUR FAMILY
been going since we were kids and it keeps getting better. love this place!
Would not recommend any student (actor or dancer) looking to learn attend school here. Staff regularly engages with unsafe practices with students of all levels (adult to child) in their studios. There is no level of responsibility or accountability from higher management, either, when sensitive issues are brought to their attention discretely. 0/10. Do not recommend.
My kiddo had a great time here

Great place for ballets! Come say hello, and buy something 🙋🏽‍♂️ watch a performance. Easy to get to, plenty of things to do in the area either beforehand or afterwards.

Best version of the nutcracker I have ever witnessed. The orchestra seats left me stunned and impressed with their fluidity, teamwork and kind smiles.
I’m a old fan of ballet 🩰 I grew up watching Swan lake, Giselle and many others. But I’ve never seen the Nutcracker. For a few years I’ve been trying to get tickets to NYC ballet but was unfortunate to get tickets cause it’s a seasonal event only during Christmas time. So be prepared to look for tickets in September. Tickets are pricey it’s around $200+tax per ticket for orchestra sitting.
But it is totally worth the money. You will enjoy every minute of it. The decorations are beautiful and no words can describe perfectionism of the ballet dancers.

Our teenage son started at Colorado Ballet Academy (CBA) after experiencing a wonderful summer intensive with the school. CBA's Director, Erica Fischbach and her entire staff & faculty are amazing with the students. I would highly recommend CBA to other families looking for a high caliber ballet studio for their children in the Denver metro area.
We always have a blast! We've been to different children's museums around the country and this one is still in our top 5. Unexpected charm of Rockford
Amazing school. My daughter is in Pre Pro. First year. Teachers and staff truly concerned about the well being of the whole student. Very attentive to technique, bring guest teachers, attention to choreography as well as dance competitions. A true school to ore pare for the professional career in dance.
I've been taking Cuban dance lessons (mostly Rueda de Casino) from Reiner and Daniela for the last two years. I've enjoyed every minute! They are professional and they challenge their students while keeping lessons light and fun. They've helped to create a wonderful community of salseros!

I only wish I had more time to attend classes and socials. The opportunity is there to dive in....there are multiple classes every week, plus meet-ups at bars, clubs, restaurants, and outdoor venues to practice rueda and salsa.

Reinier and Daniela also host an annual Cuban dance fest that is the best! It's usually in early July...I couldn't go this year, but I went in 2002 and it was phenomenal...with top instructors from around the country! I highly recommend their regular classes, the dance festival, and any workshops they host.
I thought the Seattle Cuban Festival was amazing, well-organized and so much fun! The teachers were fabulous and I loved the variety of classes. I grew in my dancing skills and understanding of the dance genres. Being on campus was great. Housing, food and classes were all easy walking distance. The teachers and attendees were all friendly and welcoming. I felt very comfortable. Thanks so much. It was a transcendent experience. I'm already looking forward to next year.

Fantastic training institution with caring and professional educators. They offer classes for all ages, a pre-professional division, workshops and intensives. The relationships a dancer can build here and the skills they can learn will prepare them for a future in dance!

Please note that Colorado Ballet (professional company) and Colorado Ballet Academy (ballet school) are not the same, even though they are under the same roof and they work together. The professional company sometimes gives performance opportunities to Academy students and those students sometimes feed into the company when their training reaches a certain level.

I am seeing a lot of reviews here about the company and issues with the business office or the performance venue, and not the Academy--which is probably confusing and misleading to people looking for information about the educational aspect of this nonprofit organization which contributes to the cultural community in Denver in a number of ways.

I’m not into ballet but the talent here is absolutely amazing. It’s worth it to try something new. And if you’re looking to watch a ballet performance, this venue is the best.
I highly recommend La Clave Cubana! I have done classes with Daniela and Rey and learned so much. They are each highly skilled dancers with a wide breadth of knowledge with respect to Cuban dances and are above all patient, encouraging and effective teachers. Furthermore, they just know how to create a really fun environment in which to learn. Great for dance newbies or seasoned latin dancers looking to add some depth and flavor to their dancing.

My husband and I went for the first time to the Center for the Performing Arts at 255 Almaden Blvd, San Jose, CA 95113 on Saturday Dec 11th 2021, to enjoy the Nutcracker, when buying tickets, we selected the green area, 2 seats that were about 3 -4 rows away from the stage, but when we arrived, our seats said they were literally in the first row, it was the worst position to appreciate the performance, since there is a wood wall in front of you, small people can not even see the floor of the stage been sitting on first row. We realized everything that was happening behind the curtains, which distracted us. A row is so close to the other, so every time people passed behind us, made us uncomfortable to feel them touching our heads, it is not pleasant to have to experience that situation paying the price we paid, we value the effort and performance of each member of the Nutcracker, but it is also necessary to share our experience so that future viewers are not surprised!

We went to Nutcracker ballet today.
It was a matinee performance. We go to Colorado Ballet Nutcracker every year. This was the weakest version of COVID-19 Nutcracker. I think most of dancers were kids from the Colorado Ballet Academy.
The costumes were not as beautiful as they were at pre-Covid years. We paid $400, the most we paid for Colorado Ballet Nutcracker, but we were disappointed the most.
Hopefully, regular evening performances better.
Three beautiful ballet pieces! Everything was perfect the costumes, music, and dances. Really joyful!

Beautiful. In my mind, beauty and romance looks very different than ballet. However, every time I witness a show, I am proven wrong. The ballet is beauty and romance and it brings me to tears. So beautiful, you have to admire the training and dedication of all the dancers, and the production.

The ballet never fails, it’s a perfect week day event. Get a nice dinner, treat yourself to a show. It’s unforgettable. Balanchine + peck is beautiful.
Wonderful Summer Stars program. Second year attending and my daughter loves it everyday she goes. The fact that it is all inclusive makes it a great bargain!
My daughter goes to this ballet school. They have amazing teachers, very professional and patient!

If you want safety, respect, and utmost quality of service then choose ferocity. There is no doubt Kat (ferocity owner) is one the most talented dance directors in DMV area. She also has the most skilled dance coaches who work along side her. Like Carolina, Juan, Eli, and many others. I have been now part of ferocity for 6 years now. I had the pleasure to dance with many amazing dancers and learn most amazing dance moves. I have experienced many dance classes or company’s and by far ferocity studio is the only one that stay true to their customers and their safety during COVID. Don’t believe go check out one of ferocity weekend intensives, I am sure will be back for more.
Reinier and Daniela Valdes are excellent instructors who really know how to teach, not just dance. Steps are introduced gradually working up to the complete routine. Even beginning dancers feel comfortable. I dance much better after every class. Their Seattle Cuban Dance Festival in July was the highlight of the year with excellent visiting dancing stars teaching and performing. The music and dancing at the fabulous Club Sur each night were very memorable. I highly recommend them!
I found ferocity through my good friend Saul who when I shared with him that I really wanted to be on a dance team, he immediately with NO hesitation directed me to Kat. From that point on, it’s all history. Ferocity has become my home, my family, and more importantly my safe place. Idk what I would be doing if it wasn’t for ferocity. It’s a special place for me, and will always be. It’s really true when Kat says fierce is for everyone. Even though I am not your ideal dancer on the scene, she makes me feel like I belong every single time I step in the studio, and it’s truly a great feeling ♥️
Amazing studio in the Northern Virginia area! Check it out for yourself. You will find more than a dance studio though, you will find a family. I enjoy the amazing techniques I have learned over the last year. This was my first attempt getting more serious about dancing and I believe I came to the right spot. I learned about Ferocity through a recommendation, in which I am very grateful for. That is why the is review is important, so I can let the rest of the world know what a gem this studio is for all of us living in the DMV area. I have not looked back ever since. I started taking lessons with Kat, as part of the Ladies Team and I am happy because I have seen much improvement. I was able to experience why this is one of the most respectable dance studios in the area. I feel love, commitment, professionalism, confidence and courage after every practice. Thank you Kat and thank you Ferocity! So grateful for you and ll the work done here.
Ever since I met Kat, the director and owner of Ferocity, and being apart of her studio, I have had nothing but a pleasant and professional experience. This is a great place to build proper technique and a solid bachata foundation. Not only will you become a better dancer but also a better member of the dance community! Highly recommend!
So ferocity has been my home for over a year now and every time I step into this studio I cant help but feel alive and refreshed from a long day. It means the world to me to dance and I love sharing the experience with everyone I've had the pleasure of meeting. Not only is this a home to me but a place I can safely enjoy my time of active relaxation!! I've come a long way and learn so many new things with every teacher. Especially Kat Arias I hope you take a chance and check it out when you can!
Currently the studio is doing VIRTUAL CLASSES to keep it running! ♥️♥️

This studio is more than a place to dance! It feels like a family with how coach/ instructor Kat Arias keeps it running!

Kat is very sweet, funny, and fierce 😍
She delivers her critiques in the most perfect way where you’re left only wanting to improve more!

Same for the rest of the instructors!!!
Ximena - stunning styling patterns
Carolina- phenomenal technique
Juan- the drill Sargent you could only dream of

And much more for all!!!

Hope you try it out and find a new place to call home like I did ☺️♥️

The instructor/owner is truly a wonderful woman! Her experience and professionalism shine through! It is an all inclusive dance company where literally EVERYONE is welcome! I've been training under her for a while now and I encourage anyone interested to give it a go! Your experience will leave you happy and full of confidence! Her professional and competitive teams are warm and welcoming to new people and beginners! Check out her teams and their performances!
My daughter is loving her ballet lessons. She is coming along quickly with friendly instructors and great home advice/assignments for rapid learning.

San Jose Dance Theatre's Nutcracker is a San Jose tradition. While other companies have come and gone San Jose Dance Theatre has always been here for us. They bring in high caliber guest artist in leading roles and the students of the academy make up the rest of the cast. I am always impressed by the caliber of dance in the show and the storytelling that is woven throughout the ballet. Highlighting the talent of our community in a family friendly setting while presenting a professional performance has made this a holiday tradition for our family for over 30 years. Whenever I've tried a different show with students, I'm disappointed in skill or presentation. The sets, lighting, live orchestra, costumes, and dancers are worthy of the Center for Performing Arts!
I've watched the Nutcracker here many times. First as a parent of a dancer and now as a family tradition. Always top-notch world-class professional ballet dancers combine with local Bay area dancers to put on great show. Highly recommend for family fun!
Needing to really improve her ballet technique, my daughter attended SJDT’s summer open classes and another ballet academy’s summer camp prior to her senior year in high school. She then accepted Miss Linda’s invitation to join SJDT for her entire senior year. That was absolutely the right decision! My daughter’s ballet skills improved to the point where she won an award for ballet at a multi-genre dance convention and was accepted into multiple college dance major programs!
My wife and I are grateful to amazing instructors Miss Sian, Mister David, Miss Mariana and, of course, Artistic Director Linda Hurkmans for helping our daughter succeed in her dance goals.
My family and I highly recommend San José Dance Theatre!
A must-see when in New York. Arrive early for champagne, the views and enjoying the lobby space with its incredible marble sculptures and crystal lights. Inside, it’s like a jewel box.

Excellent dance company for classical ballet training for kids and adults. I have two girls dancing here for 3 years. They both love the teachers, friends and staff in the studio. Teachers are caring and experienced. They learn a lot ranging from ballet techniques to professional ballet production such as the Nutcracker performance.

Worst experience ever.

I paid over $200 for tickets that were completely wasted had to walk out of the venue because of the people surrounding me.

Barely able to follow anything going on in the show because of people with unruly children.

Walked out at first intermission, talked to a door person and they didnt even care people were walking out.

Sorry but if the venue cant sell tickets appropriately for ages so people can enjoy the show. Then I simply wont return.

If you cater to children please schedule accordingly to time slots so that people that want to actually enjoy the show can enjoy the show I have children myself but my children can handle a public event without causing a disruption to the public.

There were children kicking the seat backs babies crying, and children that couldnt sit still.

If you said a word to the parents it was almost like I was a criminal, sorry but I came for a cultural experience not for drama and distraction.
A great Studio!

Just so bummed that we weren't able to get in when we arrived 12 minutes late to the Nutcracker. We left home in plenty of time, but due to 4 accidents that showed up on our GPS, sitting in traffic 45 minutes to go 6 miles, then waiting and waiting to get into the parking garage, then waiting in line to pay for parking, then walking the 3 blocks, we arrived late. Our seats were at the top, free-standing seats in the Loge, so there wouldn't have been any problem to let us in except the usher would not let us in. When we were seated at the halfway point intermission, she stated she allowed "about 15 people" who were late comers before us to go in and view the ballet from our seats. Those were OUR SEATS!! While waiting the agonizing 30 plus minutes from the lobby, you could see the TV monitor by the bar, but the quality was terrible and you could only hear the orchestra if you stood against the wall, far from the one TV. I was beside myself with anger and disappointment that we could not just slip in and sit in our seats. There were at least 60 people who were late walking in with us, and those we hung out with in the lobby all stated how early they left and how accidents impeded them getting to the ballet on time. What we did see was great, and I still am so very disappointed that our night ended up the way it did because of an inconsiderate usher and some car crashes.

Great ballet company in Colorado. As someone who loves ballet but has only seen the Nutcracker several times, I was happy to learn upon moving to Denver that they have a ballet company which every year comes out with a full season comprised of classics as well as new works.

I first saw the company perform at the Arvada Center for their "Evening Under the Stars" in which they danced selections from past seasons as well as some teasers from the current season. I finally got the chance to see a full performance when I went to see Alice in Wonderland at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Amazing show, funny and entertaining while also displaying the amazing talent and athleticism of the dancers. The sets were very creative and the orchestra was great too. It was great show for both adults and kids and I am not surprised to learn the performances were sold out. Now I can't wait to catch Swan Lake for next season!
Our daughter, who is 10 now, has been going to the academy for 1.5 years. She had very little experience from before. Everybody were very welcoming and nice. It felt like family from day one. I like their main values which are about learning through very supportive environment and family matters the most. Corrections and guidance is given in a way that it's understandable and age appropriate. I have seen huge growth of confidence in my daughter. She came in as rather shy, but is just smiling and fully enjoying herself on the stage now.

We love that the school is providing wide variety of trainings which all support becoming even a professional dancer. Linda Hurkmans is excellent classical ballet teacher, Kim Gardner is very knowledgeable in conditioning and injury preventing and Sian Ferguson is giving contemporary classes which are adding much needed broader skills to the dancers. I'm just naming the people with whom my girl is working with right now, but there are many other excellent teachers there. Occasional masters classes add even more variety to the mix.

The school has great new facilities. There are large class rooms and appropriate equipment for the dancers. I'm enjoying the big break room where I can work while waiting or dancers can do homework and eat, too.

The school has also great performance possibilities. They have at least 2 performance a year and the occasions increase as dancer grows to higher levels. The legendary The Nutcracker which is held at San Jose Center of Preforming Arts is excellent change to part of something bigger. It's running two weekends with 9 shows in a theater for about 2500 people. As a parent I totally love that I can actually be part of the school by volunteering. I have been helping as stage crew volunteer which has been so much fun and I get to share my experience with my dancing daughter.
This school offers high quality adult ballet training. They really focus on the technical details which I highly appreciate. I am very happy to have found this school.

We have been here for 2 years and we love it! I very much appreciate the classical ballet training they offer and the warm and professional staff. Best school for classic ballet in the area, we are lucky to be a part of it.
San Jose Dance Theatre's ballet academy is THE place to study classical ballet with exceptional teachers whose attention to detail is matched only by the care given to each student's progress. After many years of searching for a studio that teaches all levels with exceptional technique and artistic nuance, I am thrilled to study with Linda Hurkmans and her faculty.
I cannot speak highly enough of this studio (which is hard to find but worth the search). Located on Brokaw between Coleman and Martin, near the Quakes new soccer stadium off Hwy 880.

Definitely a place to stay and grow. The studio is beautiful, clean, and well-mirrored (new word)? I met Kat at a restaurant she was giving dance lessons. I was impressed with the class she taught and asked if she had a studio. Fortunately, she was just opening one up and gave me her card. I made it out to a class and instantly felt like I was a better dancer afterward. Her classes are fun and informational. Unlike some places, she's patient and gives you constructive criticism in a way that makes you want to do it right to make her proud and not because you're afraid of the reaction.

Her classes are a good mix between Dominican style and modern. I've always wanted to get some Dominican footwork in, but also didn't want to be left behind when I go out because a lot of people do more modern stuff. The classes have been a perfect mix so far. Prices are also great ($10/class, $85 for 10 classes). I'm they'll go up after more people start discovering her studio, so I suggest going now.

Extremely glad I found this place.
