Not my cup of tea. More like a museum. Prices are high. You know right when you walk in if it's your style or not. The gentleman working was very nice. Check out the photos in reviews and you'll get the idea.
The stuff in there was nice... But the store was packed and way overpriced! We drove half an hour out of the way assuming it was like we are used to. This isn't an antique mall. This is a shop. It's not very big. But if you have money to blow maybe you'd enjoy it.
We saw just an "antiques" banner and husband immediately turned in. There are many unique items, though he was high on what I collect. Ended up buying a couple little pieces just as admission to basically a nifty roadside museum for all manner of cool old things.
I highly recommend Linda Cheney's services. I was on a short timeline to get my deceased mother's valuables appraised and sold. Linda accommodated me, was thorough, professional, and respectful of the emotional side of the situation. Linda also guided me towards several potential buyers, and remained in touch as I had additional questions, an added service she didn't charge me more for. And her fees were quite reasonable, and paid for itself with the knowledge I gained for selling the goods. In sum, Linda's assistance was critical to my ability to sell my mother's items in a manner that would have made her proud.

She explained the process and (very reasonable) cost and we scheduled the appointment for the appraisal. She was on time and was able to turn around the appraisal report very quickly. I highly recommend her!

I highly recommend Cheney Appraisal Services. I have used the service two times now, one to evaluate an art collection for insurance and one for a Steinway piano. She does thorough research and presents a timely, professional appraisal at a reasonable cost.
First visit today. I love this store. There is zero junk. This is not a flea market or Goodwill---the items on sale are scarce, in great condition, and are priced fairly and accordingly. Resellers might not like the prices, but only because they're not going to make a killing off reselling their "scores". Easily now one of my favorite true antique stores anywhere. And the young lady running the place is fun, smart, knowledgeable and funny.
I highly recommend New York Fine Art Appraisers for all your appraisal needs. Well-credential, Danielle Rahm and her team successfully evaluated a work of art that I inherited within the timeframe estimated and I am very pleased with the reportings.

This is a higher quality store with a lot of smalls and plenty of things you won't see anywhere else. For the categories I usually shop in, the prices are average with some bargain surprises. Other unique items are on the high side - but good luck finding another one. These are estate sale finds, and not garage sale fodder. Every item is carefully identified and in good condition. The inventory doesn't turn as fast as a multi vendor mall but I see something new every time we visit. The usual gal is super friendly and helpful. If you want to make an offer, she will call the owner right away and get the deal done. Today we met the owner in person and he was very pleasant to chat with and deal with in person. Its always nice to have someone show an interest in what you are collecting and why. We like to bring friends here and check back every time we are in the area.
We are buyers and not tire kickers, but this place is way overpriced. Nice collection, but the reason the store is packed so tight is because the prices indicate they don't want to sell. The woman up front said they're cheap based on some antique pricing app she has. You need to go by the market you're in, not what some app says.
Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon on a whim. I love spending my Sunday's in thrift stores and decided to stop here. When I walked in there was hand sanitizer to the right and a masked gorilla to the left. I was immediately greeted by Kristina, her daughter and the shop puppy. The shop is a feast for the eyes. There are beautiful chandeliers glistening above and gorgeous rugs on the ground. Kristina humored me by answering all my questions and even demonstrated the difference between Crystal and glass for me. I purchased a stunning gold chain link collar necklace for a more than reasonable, $15 and I can't wait to go back in a few weeks.

I was very pleased to have my collection appraised by New York Fine Art Appraisers (NYFAA). The process was easy, reasonably priced, and well done. Jason, a very knowledgeable and seasoned appraiser, visited my apartment to photograph and take notes on all the pieces to be appraised. He advised me on the artwork and furniture that should be included and what I should not bother to insure. About three weeks later, I received my appraisal report. It had beautiful pictures of each item, full descriptions that were very professional, and the replacement values for insurance. The information Jason gave me about the different markets was also extremely helpful. I highly recommend NYFAA.

As a lawyer, it is great to have a go-to team of experts to best assist my clients. In my experience, Danielle and her colleagues at NYFAA have been nothing but professional, responsive and diligent. They are now an indispensable part of my team and I would not hesitate to refer clients to them moving forward.
There were some interesting things to look at, but over all the entire store was way over priced. The gentleman running the shop seemed very unfriendly and was annoyed at my wife asking questions about the shop and it's contents. While most of the items were of high quality it seems like the items were priced to stay I'm the collection and not to sell.
I recently contacted Linda for an appraisal of a James G.Tyler oil painting. She made herself easily available for an appointment, at which she carefully explained to me the different types of appraisals. Within a week, she provided a fine and thoroughly researched report, much more than I was expecting to receive! She is friendly, obviously competent, and reasonably priced. I will certainly use the Cheney Appraisal Services for future appraisals. (I paid for this appraisal and did not know Linda prior to this work.)
I recently utilized Cheney Appraisal Services to value oriental carpets and paintings. Linda was extremely knowledgable, complete and explained her rationale in detail. She was prompt, provided quick turnaround and was forthright and very personable. Her fee was quite reasonable. I am extremely confident in the reliability of her appraisals. I used Cheney appraisal for an insurance claim. Linda explained everything including the timing ( which was a tight deadline) and it proceeded as discussed. I highly recommend Linda and believe her to be more professional than other appraisers I’ve used over the years.
Linda is a liar. She lied to my boss; stating that she told me (in our initial phone conversation) that her fee would be higher than that of the value of what we wanted appraised. Thankfully my boss believed me and I am still employed. Linda lied so easily, not caring at all if I would be fired. Unethical and without shame. All so that she would not have to issue a refund. Her appraisal was sloppy and lazy and the value she came up with was absurd. My boss requested a refund and that's when Linda emailed and tried to blame it all on me. Linda emailed me instead of my boss so I read the email and I was so shocked at how easily she lied. I let time pass before posting this review as I found it difficult at first to harm anyone's business. But I thought of how easily Linda made it for me to lose my job and I decided to warn others on here. Choose Linda's business if you wish, this post is just to warn you that all conversations should recorded, so choose to email, avoid any form of undocumented communication that Linda can use as she pleases.
