I highly recommend Linda Cheney's services. I was on a short timeline to get my deceased mother's valuables appraised and sold. Linda accommodated me, was thorough, professional, and respectful of the emotional side of the situation. Linda also guided me towards several potential buyers, and remained in touch as I had additional questions, an added service she didn't charge me more for. And her fees were quite reasonable, and paid for itself with the knowledge I gained for selling the goods. In sum, Linda's assistance was critical to my ability to sell my mother's items in a manner that would have made her proud.

I used Cheney Appraisal Services to appraise a piece of art. Linda was a pleasure to work with. She responded to my inquiry right away. She explained the process and (very reasonable) cost and we scheduled the appointment for the appraisal. She was on time and was able to turn around the appraisal report very quickly. I highly recommend her!

I recently contacted Linda for an appraisal of a James G.Tyler oil painting. She made herself easily available for an appointment, at which she carefully explained to me the different types of appraisals. Within a week, she provided a fine and thoroughly researched report, much more than I was expecting to receive! She is friendly, obviously competent, and reasonably priced. I will certainly use the Cheney Appraisal Services for future appraisals. (I paid for this appraisal and did not know Linda prior to this work.)

I recently utilized Cheney Appraisal Services to value oriental carpets and paintings. Linda was extremely knowledgable, complete and explained her rationale in detail. She was prompt, provided quick turnaround and was forthright and very personable. Her fee was quite reasonable. I am extremely confident in the reliability of her appraisals. I used Cheney appraisal for an insurance claim. Linda explained everything including the timing ( which was a tight deadline) and it proceeded as discussed. I highly recommend Linda and believe her to be more professional than other appraisers I’ve used over the years.

Linda is a liar. She lied to my boss; stating that she told me (in our initial phone conversation) that her fee would be higher than that of the value of what we wanted appraised. Thankfully my boss believed me and I am still employed. Linda lied so easily, not caring at all if I would be fired. Unethical and without shame. All so that she would not have to issue a refund. Her appraisal was sloppy and lazy and the value she came up with was absurd. My boss requested a refund and that's when Linda emailed and tried to blame it all on me. Linda emailed me instead of my boss so I read the email and I was so shocked at how easily she lied. I let time pass before posting this review as I found it difficult at first to harm anyone's business. But I thought of how easily Linda made it for me to lose my job and I decided to warn others on here. Choose Linda's business if you wish, this post is just to warn you that all conversations should recorded, so choose to email, avoid any form of undocumented communication that Linda can use as she pleases.
