Did a buy online pick up in store. My order was marked as picked up when I hadn't picked it up. I called the store to inquire about this error and was met with the WORST customer service I've ever received. The first lady answered and said she would get someone named Susan. Susan then answered the phone and yelled “what is your last name and what did you order” no hello, just complete rudeness throughout duration of the convoy.
I have been working with Larissa and have had an amazing experience with her. I did not know how to sew at all and she has taught me some basic hand sewing techniques to help fix my children's clothes and stuffed animals. She's an excellent teacher who has a lot of patience.
Great team of knowledgeable professionals. They helped my daughter with her portfolio. Highly recommend this place for any sewing classes, portfolio creation and fashion illustration classes.
I was so disappointed with the fact that you had no dies in stock, no inks, and no embossing folders. Except for the very small area of sale items.
Going in the store proved to be the wrong thing for my day. The cashier was horribly rude and next to impossible to find someone to unlock items. Michael's can be bad service but such a bigger selection. I tried to call and complain and no one answered after many tries. I bet they r out of business soon. Sad. I used to.love that store. Been going for years. I won't be back.
Terrible customer service. Went to pick up a curbside order after receiving confirmation that ir was ready for pick up. Emloyee said it was mot ready to leave and comeback in a couple of hours.

My pick up order was never ready before I left town. I called and they said if I didn’t pick it up in 3 days it would be automatically cancelled. Well today I got an email thanking me for picking up

The old lady at the cashier is extremely rude. I tried explain the issue with my pick up order because they only gave me half of my order. She was not listening and just said I don’t know anything you said. Also tried calling the store before, never pick up the phone. Worst customer service.
This place is a miserable nightmare from which there is no escape. The management abuses and mistreats their employees and the entire store is never properly air conditioned or heated. They underpay most of their staff and try to buy their affection instead through pizza parties. Their systems are constantly down. I hope Joann’s as a company goes down entirely and the higher-ups have to face repercussions for what they’ve done. If you’re in management for the Ship From Store team, you’re going to Hell.
I gave them one star, I actualy love Jo Ann Fabrics Inc honestly but I drove all the way here from Newark to print something... Just to find out Staples had been replaced by Jo Anns.

I have never seen a store in such poor condition. Products thrown all over, everything out of place. The floors are filthy. Shelves are all half empty. I felt like I was in a apocalypse movie looking at an abandoned store.
I fell upon the NYSC looking for a place to fix my sewing machine. This was the best stroke of luck that could have fallen into my fed. I absolutely love this place. And I especially love my private lessons with Amy! She’s so talented I explained my idea and she was able to help me execute it effortlessly.
Lupe was SO nice and so helpful!! She helped us find the right thread/needles for a weird sewing project. She definitely knew her stuff!!!
Placed an online order and walked in 10 minutes before close to pick it up. As I walked in there was no greeting, only a person yelling from near the Cricut materials saying “We close in 8 minutes!” I replied I’m picking up an order. I received the order and half of my order was not in, I asked where other bags would be and checked to see if they had an other options, they did not. On my way out there was no recognition for departure again as she was following me to lock the door. I turned to her and said “Good night and happy holidays, your customer service has been slim this evening and your attitude is bleeding” she continue to lock the door and said “Yours too.”
I get it, it’s the holidays I’m sure she’d rather be home. Yet, I’ll never accept the lack of customer service as you’re representing an entire store and seemed to be leadership during this shift. Disappointed and will not be returning.

First time at a Joann's and it was a pleasant experience! Fabric was 50%off which made my day! The lady who worked in the fabric dept was pleasant to work with as well!
I love Joann Fabrics as a store, but NOT this location. It was a horrific mess. Looked like it’d been hit by a tornado. Also, only location I’ve ever been to where the interfacing is all BEHIND the cut counter. So I can’t look through them myself to read the different weights and usage; I would just need to already know which one I want. Thats probably the most ridiculous thing I’ve seen at any Joann.
Also, all of their sewing machines and some other misc Cricut items are in a locked case surrounded by boxes and junk so you can’t even look at them. I understand locking things for potential theft issues, but at least make them accessible to LOOK at. I don’t want to have to move all boxes out of the way just to look…

Chaotic is the only word I can think of to describe it. The whole store looked like it was being remodeled with new stock still in boxes. Wall displays are totally new (they look pretty good) but the remaining Christmas items look trashy. Won't be back for a while. It was hard to find anything.
Not sure what is going on - my last two experiences have been horrible. The cut table, Naomi was excellent. However the two at the front were horrible. One was the manager
The intro sewing class was very fun and informative. The instructors are great teachers... knowledgeable, patient and attentive. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking to have some fun and gain practical skills. The atmosphere is relaxed and everyone works at their own pace. The projects give you a great sense of accomplishment in such a short period of time.
I had the absolute worst experience today with an online pickup order. My cashier, Andrea, had such a bad attitude and it was clear she just didn't want to be there. My order wasn't ready so I left and came back. It still wasn't ready an hour later. I offered to just go grab the item myself, which apparently I grabbed the wrong color. This time I had the pleasure of dealing with Nora, who was just plain hateful. She brought the correct thread, handed it to me and just walked off. She said absolutely nothing to me, not "here you go", not "have a nice day". Absolutely nothing. I was floored and have never been treated so poorly as a customer in my entire life. I truly don't understand why people like this work in customer service. I won't be back to this location, ever.

Always the best discounts and a selection that can't be beat...even if they're out of the exact product you want, they will always have SOMETHING in stock to keep you crafting.
The shelves have been bare for months, I’ve been watching this one specific skein of yarn just to see how long it will sit in the wrong place and we’re going on two months now. The yarn bag section has been wrecked since the manager, NORA, wrecked it trying to find a bag but didn’t but left it l unable to shop. The customer service is nonexistent. When you ask for help looking for something they just say it should be here but when it’s not they just respond with, “I don’t know what to tell you.” Then they throw the rewards program in your face but when it comes to using it during checkout they don’t let you put your number in and there’s no way to do it retroactively.. I’ve spent hundreds or thousands here but I won’t be going back again after today. I don’t have to be talked to like that especially when I’m there to give them my money. .
The store seems unable to help customers with fabric or specific requests. I wanted a piece of foam cut and the only option was in one yard increments. This doesn't seem to have a logical basis. I understand there is probably a policy, but for a large retail box store the customer experience is the main reason to show up in person.
I went to this JoAnn’s today to return two spools of tulle. They have eliminated the customer service desk and there was no sign of where to go for returns or exchanges. There was a sign for on-line pick up, but no desk or any guidance on how to return something. There was one cashier and a line of people trying to check out and a person came to pick up their on-line order. The clerk helped the on-line person before those of us standing in line. I inquired of the one cashier where customer service was moved to. She said there isn’t a designated customer service, just get in line with those checking out -about 6 people. I had to wait to return things, as I didn’t want them to think I hadn’t paid-I had my receipt from just a few days before. I wanted to get some fabric, so after the return I found what I wanted and went to wait to have it cut. One person working there also. 3 people ahead of me and one couldn’t decide what she wanted. The clerk unfolded a few yards off one bolt and the customer looked it over and said no. Then unrolled another bolt and she wanted several yards. I finally got my two yards cut and went to checkout. I was number 7 this time.

Very pricey, unorganized, the few carts they have you can barely push, very few staff on hand to ask for help.
It may need to reorganize their shelves and aisles it could be better. Other than that the staff were friendly and helpful.
I came today asking for help with fabric. The two ladies working were more than happy to assist the women in front of me with fabric questions. When my turn came everyone was clueless on how to help and one of the young ladies just walked away as if it want her concern. They both work in fabric…. I’m done hobby lobby is across the street anyway soooooo much better!
So I often buy yarn since I crochet as a hobby and I really like jo Ann's because the curbside pick up is so easy. However on Friday I needed to pick up an order of yarn I placed and I put in online that my husband would be picking it up like I have many times before and my husband goes in to pick it up and the cashier was a girl I think her name was Megan and she was nothing but rude to my husband and refused to give him my ordered because she claimed her system was down? Meanwhile my husband was showing her the email he received from jo Ann's that the order was ready for him to pickup. Finally a manager came over took one look at my husband's email and handed over my order. Idk if the cashier was new or just doesn't have people skills or what but hopefully they retrain that girl or something.
I booked a private event for my girlfriends birthday with her friends. They had the greatest time. Wine and sewing. What a great mix. They went on for days about the experience. Thanks again everyone at the sewing center

I went in to use the studio for a personal project while I was in town on vacation and had a great experience. Booking the time was a quick and painless couple of emails. The most difficult part was finding the place since I’m not from NY and not used to businesses sharing buildings/floors. But I got there with relatively little hassle. They gave me my own little room to work in with a sewing machine and cutting table, just had to go to another room to use the iron. They had everything I needed available including scissors, pins, thread, chalk, etc. for no additional cost. I can’t vouch for the classes, but the space was really cute and my experience was great- highly recommend if you need a place to get a bit of sewing done!

I love going to my sewing class. The teachers are fantastic. The machines work great. The center is so clean and they have great coffee! I am having the best time. I started making a pants today. I am a novice!
Joann has always been the place to go when you need to get fabric or fabric related items that you can’t normally find at, say, your local Walmart. They have a ton of fabric in stock! And the ladies that work here are usually very helpful when you ask them for help. The cashier even advised me to use coupons available on the website which I totally would’ve forgotten to use if not for her! It’s just such a shame they are located in the more shady part of town, and I believe the hotel right next door is being used as a homeless shelter (but I could be wrong). Hence, I’m sure they get stolen from often. This is all the more reason why we should support them, and forgive a few minor mistakes they might’ve made, so that they don’t go away! They’ve been here for so many years, it would be such a shame if we lost them. Buying fabric online is nothing compared to being able to see it in person and having it brought up to the counter to cut!
Nice and clean store. The employees are friendly and the sales are great! They have curbside pickup for online orders, which is convenient because the lines can be long at the register and cut counter.
5 stars because they have great prices/sales and it’s easy to buy online and pick up at the store. I feel like they have better prices than Michael’s and Hobby Lobby. I’ve only gone in the store a few times but it was kind of overwhelming to me because everything seemed a little disheveled so I prefer to buy online and either have it shipped to my house when I can get free shipping or pick it up at the store. I get a lot of my craft supplies to make deco mesh wreaths here. I find lots of things I can use for wreaths like these cute dragonfly yard stakes…I cut the long metal piece off with wire cutters then attached them to the wreath and they were only a few bucks! My mom loves dragonflies so I made this wreath for her. I found this adorable dragonfly ribbon which I have never seen anywhere. It all came together beautifully and she loved it! Everything on this wreath is from Joanns (except for the wooden sign in the middle).
Would not recommend for the poor customer service and dysfunctional website. The employee Yessica couldn’t be less receptive and helpful, had 0 interest in supporting, obviously not a sales person (the lady cutting fabrics, Ana, was very kind though). The website is problematic, tried to place an order four times and they were all canceled but I was charged all of them and they replied saying it may take up to 7 working days to release this money.. There are better alternatives to find fabrics and so on
Joann's is a nice little art shop, but not if you're looking for a lot of art stuff because it seems like they get stolen from a lot. They don't really have a lot of crew on the floor. They usually stereotype you the minute you walk in so just a heads up: you could be looking like a grandmother or a 10 yr old. They will still follow you and be on your butt. I think that's because of all the thieving.
My private lesson at The NY Sewing Center was fabulous. My teacher was terrific, helpful, knowlegeable. I had a project in mind and I got some of it done during my lesson and went home with next steps clearly laid out. The space is great and any supplies are there! HIGHLY recommend NY Sewing Cene
Extremely unprofessional staff. FedEx does NOT package Joann warehouse goods. We simply deliver these boxes to your stores. If your staff has a problem with the way Joann products are packaged, send these little notes to your warehouse source. FedEx employees have never worked at your warehouses.

They have a lot of fabrics and when I compared some of their price with other store I realized they over pricing it. A plastic jack o lantern pumpkin head not lighting up is $119 while a bigger which light up is $39 at home-depot… you do the math. I wish they were not so overpricing stuff like that

They got a 1 star instead of a 4 star The pictures frame I ordered turned out great BUT..... I called to check on the status and was left on hold for over 40 min so decided to drive there (17min away still on hold) Got there and was greeted by the same rude lady who had answered the phone I asked to see a manager and she copped an attitude because I didn't want to say why (still on hold) Now the manager comes over with a bit of an attitude and I calmly explained to her pointing at their phone with one little light blinking red as I show her my phone at the same time and say do you see that little blinking red light that's me How long does my phone say I've been on this call 01hr 02min couple seconds It's amazing how quick your attitude change When she realized how much they had messed up Subsequently I did receive my picture that evening but I don't think I would have had this incident not occurred I could go into further detail but I think this is enough I'll never have another anything framed there again
Overpriced, tired of the app holding regards only to online orders so in store shoppers are notified of a 25% total purchase coupon only to find it doesn't apply to them. They used to carry so much more of a selection of everything but now I guess they are more online as most stores cater to customer service wise. But I still go there as a source of fabric just wish everything in the world was what it used to be. Online shopping does not compare to in person.

Omg so it's going under a revamp. Some.of the aisles are a bit messy but everyone was so nice and helpful. I needed some fabric for a project for the holidays and found exactly what I needed. And the employees cutting fabric were so nice. I love the sunflower fabric I picked up.
One of the worst experiences I’ve had to date with a company. They overall conversation and lack of customer service and eagerness to hurry me out the door was truly by far an experience in itself.

It used to have such a huge inventory of a beautiful assortment but they stopped selling the really unique beads and fabrics and jelly rolls I use for making handbags and now there's just bundles of the same ones and strands of beads that aren't as inspiring as they used to be. The prices are even worse and they don't have the sales and coupons they used to have. Overpriced and needs more variety.
I walked in and was immediately greeted warmly and helped throughout the process of choosing a new sewing machine. Manny answered all of my questions, including the unique ones. Highly recommend checking it out if you need sewing notions, machines, or repairs.

I love this place. They got me exactly what I needed at the time I needed it. I bought a female wire dress form from them. The dress form was easy to put together and I love that it has an adjustable height. I put a dress on it posted a picture and it sold like hotcake. LOL!!! I put that same dress on a hangar and the dress did not sell. I'm getting a male wire form next. Michael was extremely helpful, pleasant, and accommodating.
Picked up some Beetlejuice fabric, Willy Wonka fabric, Day of the Dead, and Halloween fabric the other day. This location always has good finds. The people are fantastic

There was absolutely not one soul in this place for help. I needed to find a needle felting project. Couldn't find it. The store was an absolute mess. Shelves were bare, and Halloweens stuff was only 70% off at the end of December! It should be 90% by now.
This is the junkiest retail store that I've ever been in. Looking around, your'd expect that they're either still moving in, or going out of business. In this case, it is neither. I first went to this location in the fall. I thought perhaps that it was so messy due to the upcoming holiday seasons. It's not an acceptable excuse, but I was trying to make sense of the mess. I have since visited this location and it's ALWAYS this bad!!!

Good selection of fabrics, notions, and craft items. Be sure to download the app or sign-up by email for their coupons. I use a coupon every time I shop here. If you need a pattern, try to buy around a major holiday. They usually have special coupons or really low prices on patterns around the holiday weekends. Regular patterns that cost $15-$20 can be purchased for $1-$3 when they are on sale.

Came to Joanns looking for some items I needed for a project. After having gone to several craft stores I found one item here that fit my budget. They only had 6 of the items I needed on the floor and I needed 20. However after looking around some more I noticed a box on the top shelf that had more of the items I was looking for. I did ask an employee if they had more and that I did see a box on the top shelf contaning this item. The employee simply ignored what I said and relied on the computer they carry around which told them they only had 4 available in store which did not make sense, since I was holding 6 in my hand. Would of not taken her no more than 5 minutes to check.
I had chair seats reupholstered and pillows made. The job was done professionally and the price was very fair. We made arrangements to drop off and pick up and turn-around time was lightning quick. I recommend highly!

Wow this place is HUGE! If you can’t find it here, it doesn’t exist. I love their coupons, great for 50% off an item making most everything affordable. I will caution, you might have to wait for stuff to get cut, but it goes quicker than at other stores. I found everyone there very helpful and you could easily spent hours there just looking around.

The lady at the cut counter was clearly very busy but she was still so nice and helpful, the cashier was also nice and helpful. When I look at this store I feel like it has less fabric than what I'm hoping for but then I find what I'm looking for so I guess the have all the right stuff for me. There's always remnants and plenty of things on sale.

I know I will be standing in long lines when I need to have fabric cut and when I am at the front of the store in line to purchase items, it's just a given. I've been trying for a month to get black felt and every time I visit the store, they are out of it. But I do love their sales especially the 60% off deals and the sales people are always nice so I don't shop when I'm in a hurry!

Kayrock is an incredible place, staffed by an awesome group of artists and craftspeople. Their prints and artbooks available for purchase are gorgeous, contemporary and affordable; this should be the first place people look to decorate their apartment! We are having a number of pieces framed by Anna (who is also an amazing multimedia artist); her attention to detail and level of service is impeccable. The framing here is gorgeous; it may seem expensive in comparison to a store bought frame but it elevates the work so much that I think it is VERY worth it when a budget allows. The community of people here is very supportive of each other and take so much pride in each other and their own work. This is definitely a business that you can feel great about supporting, and you'll end up with artwork that will bring joy for a long time.

Kayrock has printed thousands of shirts for me over the past few years and they always do a great job. As a graphic designer with varied jobs for diverse clients, I always appreciate the friendly hands-on staff and the easy conversations I have with with Karl about best approach and how to achieve the highest quality results. I honestly consider Kayrock to be a partner in my production stream and tap into their wealth of screen printing knowledge all the time. Whatever you're screen printing, you can trust these guys to do it right. They are super pros.

Bought a Juki serger from here so I could carry it off and learn to make pants during a blizzard. Couple weeks later, it broke down and these guys just took it back, arranged to fix it, and then I picked it back up within several business days. Fast, no complexities. I'm glad I bought the machine here rather than online because the human tough really helps.
Item was out-of-stock, but they didn't tell me. Contact info on Paypal was wrong, so I couldn't contact them.
Needed the tote bag that cost $10 to ship to take less than a month to get here to send again for a present. They had no interest in paying for expediting after their poor service.

My experience with Karl Larocca and Kayrock Screen Printing has been disappointing to say the least. 20% of the tote bags I ordered were printed poorly and I am still waiting for a refund that Karl said he would issue a week ago. This was after much waiting and hounding via email. I am now forced to take them to court due to lack of a response. They will pack up bags that have an image printed on a crumpled tote, off-centered images, and bags with stray ink marks and charge you full price for them. Then Karl will give you no customer service, but plenty of attitude in return. Save yourself the headache and the money and use someone else.
