Got my suit turned around in less than 24 hours, and hooked me up with my pocket square-tie combo for my grandmother's 90th. One stop shop for formal needs. I recommend!
I had a small repair need on a brown leather jacket where the stitching was coming undone. They are open 7 days a week and when I called my conversation was pleasant. Brought it in and was greeted by the same person(Vinny). My repair was made and was able to pick it up on Wednesday. I could not find any signs of a repair. It was perfect. I may not need a lot of work done, but I know where to go if I do. Thank you.
Stopped in about a month ago. Liked the staff and the selection. We went back yesterday and left with all 6 suits needed for a wedding under $300 each. Staff was phenomenal. If we need more suits ever we will be back for sure.
At the Auburn Hills location ask for Vinny, he provided great service. He helped my guy with 2 sports jackets and a beautiful royal blue turtle neck.

Came in to find my son, who’s a Junior this year, a suite for Homecoming. Vince greeted us upon arrival, was very helpful, accommodating, friendly and flexible with my ideas mixed in with his and we ended up seeing my son light up with so much confidence. We found the one! (This is our second year coming here.) He also discounted a few items and asked his manager Sylvia who helped in the end with an extra discount! The clothing is high quality and they fit it to your size, tailor it and have it back in just a few days. I highly highly recommend this Family Business! Great hours as well. I came in to pick up my order and the woman working was behaving very strangely and aggressively. After a terrible interaction, she approached me with a knife in hand. Pleasant folks but incapable of error... just ask them. Definitely gave them at least 3 Ts. Definitely only got two back. They refused to look because they could not possibly have lost it. I went in with a sealed bag. I left with a sealed bag. I figure it was at least worth a glance.
My husband and I worked with Luis (junior) earlier this year to make a wedding suit for an indoor/outdoor wedding. We didn't know what type of suit we wanted, had never custom made any clothing and didn't know much about fit or style. We only knew we didn't want something very thick and heavy, and wanted something that could be used for many different kinds of occasions.
Luis walked us through fabrics, colors, styles/design options, and fit - everything from A to Z and gave lots of good advice. We learned a lot! Luis even gave us some additional tips on shirt, tie, shoes and other accessories that would complement the suit.
On the wedding day, my husband was very handsome and confident. We definitely recommend Luis for any type of suit custom/bespoke. His price was fair, he was great to work with, and we loved the product in the end. Thanks for making our wedding planning a bit easier!

I ran short of clean clothes, so I gave PDC a try for the clean and fold service. I'm very pleased with my experience from start to end. Super friendly dude at first said maybe today (came in @ noon, they close at 5), but it could be Monday (closed Sunday). Very reasonable to expect that turnaround, but they got it done and called me for pick up around 330. Two more super friendly staff helped me stuff the bag into my backpack. Now I can enjoy Portland with clean socks and underwear... everyone wins!
Was quoted $200 for my dress alterations. The dress is worth less than that, but I needed the alterations (bridesmaid dress). She told me I had to text her to remind her of my appointment.. I find this super unprofessional, but I text her nonetheless. She forgets our appointment the first time around. From that point forward, every single appointment was pushed back, within 10 minutes of the start time, including one where she altogether forgot again. I texted her before each appointment - it didn’t help. The alterations weren’t complete until 3 weeks later, and most of the appointments started by me waiting in the tailoring shop while she sewed the dress for 15-20 minutes. I came to the shop 5 times for one dress. She obviously didn’t have the bandwidth to take on the dress at the start and should have said so. She tried to get me to pay more than the initial quote because it was more work than anticipated. I have refused to pay more as she never told me along the way it would be more expensive. I am really upset with the experience here- definitely wouldn’t recommend and won’t be returning.
Quick, convenient and open until 6:30. The prices for the tailor/alterations were a few dollars more than others in the area, but the ease of pickup/drop off and their location was worth it. Friendly staff.
Wish I could review the work but twice I've been for a drop off and either the tailor isn't there or they are closed completely. And this is after calling to confirm the hours.

Super sweet owners, quick, and great price! They got stains out of items I thought were ruined forever. I’m a student, so I’ll be using them every two weeks for wash and fold. Kind humans. You won’t be disappointed :)

The service was excellent and better than other drycleaning businesses. They even measure your clothes here! This is one of the many reasons that Old Town Alexandria is one of the best places to live where most of the businesses and stores are family oriented people.
I took 2 suits to Luis for tailoring, and he did a great job. I gave them a somewhat short timeline but they were able to complete it in time, and the end result was great, with reasonable prices as well. I will definitely be back!
We used Pearl District Cleaners to launder some clothes while on vacation in Portland because we extended our trip. The gentleman who helped us was so nice and they were able to wash and fold our clothes same day! Wasn’t too expensive for how much clothes we washed, we paid $60 for 15 lbs of clothing with a mix of nice shirts, pants and PJs.
I can’t say enough good about AB Alterations. The work is impeccable. I’ve been going there for many years. They can alter anything from wedding dresses to mens’ suits. I moved an hour away and took some pants in to be altered to someone close to where I live. So disappointed! I happily drive an hour to go back to AB. Just perfection.

They over charge! A small summer dress, they charged me $45 ！ I will never come here anymore. When I put the dress there, I saw the price sheet shows $30, But When I picked up, they charged me $45.

Absolutely wild pricing for garments. I found a new cleaners close by, who did phenomenal work, and cost 50% of the price. Not really seeing a justification to their pricing and seems like a business taking advantage of inflationary times.

I love this Tailor . He does great work at a reasonable cost and it always turns out fantastic.
I got measured for my army service uniform and the tailor did a great job. It cost $20 to get measurements.
They will price your dry clean by the brand
I came with a sticker jacket that have “Milano” in the brand name ( 120$ jacket ) the price immediately bumped to 35.35$
Jacket was with no any special stains or dirt.

Great seamstress! She fixed some uniform pieces for me, as well as did some unusual creative fixes for a handful of things that didn’t quite suit me. She’s very talented and also patient and kind.
Quite possibly the best tailor I have been to. Luis does really great work and for a very reasonable price. I have had a number of suit jackets and pants altered and the quality of the alterations has always been nothing short of excellent. Luis knows his stuff and charges a fair price. Will keep going to him unless I move out of the DMV!

I was scheduled to attend a last minute birthday party. The suit I planned to wear needed alterations. I managed to squeeze in and have last minute work completed which looked awesome!

My husband's dress shirt needed to be pressed for our wedding. I've already washed it at home and it was clean. When I went in, the lady at the front said it'll be better to do wash instead of just doing a press. I followed her advice.
Went to pick up the shirt the next day, only to find they've used too high of heat to burn the glue on the collar, creating a black outline on the collar. The lady kept insisting that 'this is how the shirt is, we can't do anything about it.' When I insisted that doing a wash and iron doesn't have this effect since I've washed and ironed it at home before. She said she'll try again by same day. I came back before closing to pick up the shirt to find that the is ruined and cannot be fixed. I showed the lady the receipt of purchase and she said she will talk to the manager and let me know how they'l l credit me so I can buy the replacement. This was 11 days ago. I haven't heard back from the manager. I also reached out via their chat feature and was completely ignored.
Since we needed the shirt, we bought the replacement the same day and took it to a different cleaners to get it washed and pressed.

Manager finally reached out and provided a credit.

I have been going to Luis for over 15 years and despite moving from Old Town to DC, will still drive back to Old Town to see him. His work is excellent and prices very fair. He's friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. He is an absolute expert in his trade and he has helped me with formal gowns, ski pants, leather, and basic hem jobs. I never worry about buying off the rack, because Luis tailors all my work clothes to my body for a sartorial fit. Best tailor in the DC area!
Why on earth would one not ask for the price upfront? That is how to decide whether a repair makes sense versus a replacement (if applicable). This woman did a lovely job on a diverse set of items damaged in storage in London - sweaters, coats, all sorts of materials. She also gave me a very frank opinion on a jacket that she thought was not worth repairing given the cost. Highly recommended.
I brought some shirts in to be altered before and really liked their work. I brought some items in today and the lady asked me if they were simple and I said yes, she said they don't do alterations here and tried to send me somewhere at the Marketplace. She seemed like she didn't really want to deal with me.
They need to take down the sign in their window that says 'alterations and repair' because clearly they don't. Guess I don't need to come back here ever again.

Believe the good reviews on here. Took my winter coat to get re-lined, they did an Amazing job! The price was very reasonable and now I have a brand new coat. Will definitely be returning with other alterations.
This place cheats you as they don’t give you a price upfront. $180 to alter each suit??? Crazy. Then when I asked for the suits back, the lady wanted $40 before she would give the suits back. She settled for $20. Watch out if you go there before getting an exact quote. Not a place I will be dealing with ever.

I’m so glad I found this tailor. I went to Rome based on other reviews and was not disappointed. I took in 2 pairs of pants that needed hem & to be taken in/tapered. I also took a dress that had a snag (small hole). When I got my items back, the fit is now IMPECCABLE & I can’t tell where the hole was on the dress. He works fast & the clothes are now better than they were when I purchased them. Pricing is fair also. I will certainly be back with other items!!

Definitely go here for all of your tailoring needs. Had my wedding dress taken in for $200-- less than what I was quoted everywhere else. As a point of reference, one place quoted me $600. The woman who you will work with is amazing and SO friendly. Cash only. Trustworthy place that will do a great job with whatever you need. Don't waste your time looking elsewhere. Seriously.
THIS IS THE BEST TAILOR IN THE DMV. I needed to get a suit for a wedding in a rush, the suit i had didnt fit me properly at all. I came to Mr. Larry and he consulted with me about the fitting, measured me up meticulously, ensured that I would have the suit back in less than 3 days, and gave me an amazing price for the service he provided. You can tell he’s experienced because he points out details that one wouldn’t even think of. He is very professional and friendly, he also offers classes to young professionals in order to broaden their knowledge on suits. I will be taking all of my clothes to him, and I suggest you to do so as well!!
New Trio is by far the best cleaners in Tribeca. When I moved to the hood 3 years ago I tried all the cleaners in the area and they did a far superior job on my dress shirts. The guys are always nice.
