Came to DC with my boy for a short time. City dog answered my call immediately and was able to get him in. The report card at the end of the day was amazing because I knew he had a good day and was made aware if there was any issues. Would highly recommend!

I will say GiGi is very personable when it comes to dealing with your pups. I can honestly say the staff is amazing and go the extra mile to be sure your pups and you are happy. What stood out the most to me was that GiGi called me to know specifically what cut did I want and what could be done realistically. That there to me is worth more than money. Thank you for making my pups happy and me feel happy about the results.

We have been going to see GG at City Dogs for about 2 years now and I am so beyond thankful we FINALLY found such an INCREDIBLE groomer!!

GG is not only extremely knowledgeable and talented, but she is deeply deeply deeply kind. She truly loves every pup that comes to see her (even the one like mine who used to try and bite her!).

One of our pups is VERY anxious (to the point of biting groomers .. eek!) as a result of some truly terrible grooming experiences in the past, and GG is a literal miracle-worker with him. She let me stay in the room when she groomed him the first few times. Right off the bat, that showed me how truly talented of a groomer GG is - she knew that she was heading into a tricky groom, and instead of shutting me (the parent) out of the room in case it didn’t go well, she encouraged me to stay. Now, I can drop him off and know that he will be loved with abundance! And that he will come home looking amazing!

Our other pup is extremely chill and loves to go see GG! He knows that he will get soooo many kisses and cuddles and, when he’s done, to sleep on some cozy towels in the linen closet that he loves so much 😂 (to be clear, he is not forced or shut in there - he discovered it as his favorite spot to be cozy and now he just naps there after his groom).

I have many favorite things about GG, and one of them is that she will never push a dog past their limit. For me, it is extremely important that my pups have the least stressful time possible while they are getting groomed. And if that means that their groom isn’t 100% to GG’s very high grooming standards? That is hands down what I would prefer, every time. And, because of this, it means that my anxious dog no longer dreads getting groomed. All thanks to GG’s doggy magic!

To be extremely clear, she does an AMAZING job grooming both pups every time! They always coming out looking chic with their tails wagging (and a cute new bandana or bow tie)!

I confidently recommend GG to all of my friends in the DC area, especially if they have a nervous pup and have had trouble finding patient and endlessly loving groomers. Go see GG, and I promise you will find your fur-ever groomer 💕

My dog (and I) had a very unfortunate experience at City Dogs, when my dog went in for a deluxe groom. I had never been here before but wanted to give them a try because my other groomer is so far away in Potomac. Around 5 hours after I dropped him off, and they estimated it would take 4, someone called to inform me that my dog had been cut in the face and was bleeding a lot, his groom was finished and I could get him whenever. I rushed over to pick him up, and his nose was still bleeding when I arrived. I quickly and without thinking paid when they asked me to because I was in such shock from the size of the cut/stab, and we left. When I got home, I realized the haircut hadn’t been finished and my dog’s nails had not been trimmed. I called back asking for at least a partial refund because that wasn’t exactly fair, and they only refunded $20 after speaking to a manager. Meaning I still paid $100.

The more I think about it, and the worse my dogs nose looks as it heals - an entire chunk of his nose is missing, the more I regret paying anything, and the more angry I am.

I know that mistakes happen, but my dog is 4 years old and no groomer or myself have ever cut him, anywhere on his body, let alone stabbed him in the nose like this. I don’t even understand how this could have happened. And this has altered his nose forever. The vet said it will scar/never heal back to normal.

I would not go back, and I would not recommend.

We love GG at City Dogs 18th St NW for grooming! She was recommended to me by our awesome trainer and she even came to my house initially to meet my pup. Within seconds of meeting GG, I could tell why our trainer loved her so much — she is incredibly kind, earnest, and direct and her love for dogs is so clearly evident. All of that was even before she groomed my dog!

We’ve been going to GG at City Dogs for several months now and I could not be happier. We tried a number of different groomers in his first year before finding GG - some were fine, some were awful, but *none* compare to our GG.

If you know what you want in a groom, GG listens and respects it. If you don’t (like me!), she is happy to help and advise based on her many years of experience and training. I love that she knows more about how my 20-month old Portuguese Water Dog should be cut than me! For instance, I had never considered keeping his eyelashes longer but it has made a huge difference! He can see through his fluff for so much longer between grooms this way. She also gives me tips on keeping him brushed and fresh between visits with her.

GG has such a kind demeanor and my dog honestly loves her. She is patient with him when he gets anxious, gives him breaks when he needs them, and always keeps me in the loop throughout the day.

My favorite GG quote, re: my dog (obviously) being spoiled — “I always say, if you can’t spoil them, you shouldn’t have them.”

I could keep going but this is already too long.

TL;DR: GG is amazing all around and I am so thankful to have found her. If you love your pup and are looking for a new groomer, don’t hesitate to book with GG!

City dogs has been our go-to dog boarding and day care facility for over a year now and we love it! The staff is always kind and our dog loves it there - he always seems like he doesn’t want to leave! They’re always very accommodating too, multiple times I have called last minute to extend his stay and they always work with us and are flexible. Highly recommend!

Our dog absolutely loves day care at city dogs. We love seeing his report cards. We can tell everyone there knows him and cares for him. We’ve also used overnight boarding services and boarded him for a long weekend. He always seems like he had a blast.

Brought my cat in to have his cyst drained and was advised there was also an infection. The vet gave me a topical spray for the wound. About 24 hours later noticed he had some swelling and called the office about an antibiotic. I called several times throughout the day while the clinic was open and never received a call back. I was told the vet would be notified and that if he had further questions they would call me back or a prescription would be sent over to my pharmacy. No prescription was ever sent. No callback was received. I was also told that after 4 when they closed, I could still speak to a technician in reference to the situation, but was advised when I called back again after 4 that the technician worked for an urgent care facility who had no idea about the message I left or why they would tell me, north bay would say I could speak to a technician.

In addition to all this, when my cats cyst was drained, it was done in the patient room and I was asked if I would be ok with holding my cat while he drained the cyst. My cats cyst was previously drained at the cat doctors in Tampa where he was taken by the vet and brought to another room to have his cyst drained. It was a more professional experience with the Cat Doctors than what I have dealt with at this facility. I would not recommend anyone to bring their pet here because clearly they don’t make your pet a priority. They did make sure to collect my office visit payment before I left, but they can’t call me back, and to me that says a lot.

I will not be returning to this location for any reason.

I had an emergency this morning with my big man Nimbus and I just want to deeply thank Dr. Mora for the excellent care he provided. He took the time to explain in detail every diagnostic and set realistic expectations for us. He was kind and patient. To the girls in the front I am sorry I did not catch your name but you were all incredible and extremely empathetic. Being in the field myself, just thank you.

Dr Sam diagnosed my geriatric cat's problem 3 days ago. He needed a shot and an xray, and we took home some meds. Kona is eating again and already has his energy back thanks to a Great vet!

After a distressing experience with an overly prescribed medication for my beloved dog, I was referred to this hospital by another clinic. Despite the unfortunate outcome, I can't commend them enough for their professionalism, expertise, and, above all, their compassion.

From the moment we walked through the doors, it was evident that the staff here genuinely cared about their patients. The veterinarian and technicians were not only knowledgeable but also efficient in their approach. They took the time to thoroughly assess my dog's condition, explaining every step of the process and answering all of my questions with patience and empathy.

Despite their efforts, my dog's condition deteriorated beyond recovery. All of the doctors and staff here are amazing! They take such good care of my high-energy corgi and helped my cat who was having urinary issues and prescribed a diet that has improved his health significantly! I highly recommend them if your pet is having any health concerns :)

I can not say enough good things about the staff and Dr. Larkin . The care and compassion was so obvious. Dr. Larkin is professional and compassionate. She had our fosters best interest at heart and took great care of her. The fact that this practice does so much for neglected and abused animals is just amazing! I would highly recommend them.

Sun Surf has the best staff! They're very friendly, caring, and kind. I brought my dog in and Doctors Michael and Meina took amazing care of him and reassured me that everything was going to be okay. My dog is now doing much better and is recovering perfectly.

Dr. Jonathan May has been treating my cat for a urinary track infection. Dr. May is an outstanding doctor, he’s very compassionate, not only does he care about animals but he also cares about his clients, he goes above and beyond explaining what treatment needs to be done and explains everything in simple terms so that you don’t have to be a doctor to understand. I would highly recommend Dr. May for anyone that needs vet care.

Best Veterinarian we’ve ever been to. We love this place. The staff is always so kind and welcoming. They take great care of our Cat, Sheba, & they always work with us to make sure we can get what we need done for her within our budget. The place is great, super clean and remodeled. They have beverages in the lobby & lots of extra touches to make you comfortable. I really appreciate how they take time to make Sheba comfortable each visit before they start their exam. They even put out cat nip for her once to help her relax and let her chill a while before the exam so she wasn’t stressed. I literally can’t say enough good things. We’re just very grateful to have found them a few years back.

My cat get very sick, being new to the area I was a little nervous about a new vet. They were able to get her in so quick and were kind and compassionate toward her. She was handled so gently and I couldn't be more relieved that they tried multiple solutions until one worked. Plus they were always communicative about pricing and expectations. Dr. Johnson even checked in the next day seeing how she was and providing further advice. I'm so grateful, thank you so much Dr. Johnson and team for helping and being the reason my cat is still here.

My dog has loved Train My Dogs…she’s always so excited when we arrive…she jumps out of the car and excitedly waits, wagging her tail, to go inside and join her friends for a day of fun!

I took my tortoise in and I was so happy with my experience! Everyone was friendly, kind and very knowledgeable. From the doctor to the entire staff, they were wonderful and cared for my pet as if it were there’s. I’m really happy I’ve found a safe and friendly vet for my tortoise!

DMAH has been my dog's vet since she was a puppy. The care that she receives is excellent. Beyond that, Dr. Moore and staff are cheerful and concerned pet lovers. I always know up front when the cost for my services is going to be. They keep you aware of preventive measures that can be taken to prolong and improve the health of my dog. The officed is bright and cheerful. They make bringing your pet to the vet a pleasant experience.

In disbelief and heartbroken at the loss of our Finn on Wednesday 11/29/23. I took him in to Sun Surf Vet in Sunset Beach for a routine neuter surgery never expecting that it would be the last time I saw him. He was only 9 months old and perfectly healthy. Yet I still got that call at 1:38 PM that my little sidekick never woke up from the anesthesia.

I drove to the vet as fast as I could hoping I could breathe life back into him. But it just wasn’t possible. By the time I got there he was gone.

All I could do was cry into him so that he could comfort me one last time… letting my hands get lost in the soft fur around his neck.

So now I say goodbye my Finneas Bear Moses, I hope you closed your eyes dreaming of swimming in the pool and all the shoes you’d destroy. You filled a space in my heart I didn’t even know was empty. You were my constant, my shadow, whether I liked it or not. We didn’t deserve you and yet you still loved us with all you had.

We miss you so much already… I miss you… I love you… I’ll see you in my dreams buddy. 💔

As for Sun Surf Vet, I’m not letting this go. I had a Necropsy (autopsy) performed by a different veterinarian and the preliminary results indicate that he was anatomically perfect. Thus, despite your arrogance Dr. Mike (are you even a doctor?) you f’d up. Had you shown some remorse, empathy, compassion, anything, I wouldn’t be so focused on closing your doors so that you never do this again. You killed a member of our family and you were unapologetic about it because he’s just “property”. Maybe so in the eyes of the law, but you’re about to find out how much this “property” was valued.

I recently found out that this isn’t the first time this has happened at this vet and am hoping others will reach out if this has happened to you as well.

Anyone who loves and cares about their pet will avoid this vet at all costs or be prepared to lose him/her. Don’t say you weren’t warned. — 

I have been taking my four cats to Sun Surf for years now and I have always been very happy with the services provided and the care they take for my fur-babies.

Today I took my eldest cat Rufus into the vet to treat an ingrown claw. Sun Surf has recently hired a new vet, Dr. Mc Daniel. He took care of Rufus and I today and I am thoroughly impressed in every way. Dr. McDaniel is an amazing vet and I will be asking for him to care for my cats from here on out.

The Bird and Exotic hospital is amazing!! Sunday I noticed my Congo African parrot had a clear discharge coming out of his nose and I panicked. To my surprise the bird hospital was open for emergencies on Sunday, Mary Ann said bring Rigby right down. I am about 1 hour away and got there around 5. They took my bird right back. Dr. Rue was awesome! Came in and we spoke about Rigby, he had never been sick before and I have had him since 1993. They were so caring and concerned like Rigby was their own bird. I would recommend them to anyone who has a bird or an exotic pet!!

Love Dr. Romo- he took the time to thoroughly explain the care plan for my rabbit. Didn’t push for unnecessary procedures. Had him years ago and appreciated his level of care back then. Office staff was extremely nice. From the front desk/making the appointment to arrival- to the vet tech (forgot her name)- so kind/caring. It is very, very hard to find a good exotic specialist- they are great- well worth the 40 minute drive. Thank you!

They saved our parrots life! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ! She was not able to breathe and they took her in and treated her with love care and expertise. Everyone treated us like we were family and you could tell they really cared …from answering the phone to each visit .

They have the most professional staff and the doctor (Dr Sue) is very knowledgeable and did a great job. She gave clear concise instructions on how to tend to my furbabies wound. I am changing vets immediately and bringing both my dogs here.

We made numerous calls when our sun conures had an accident. They were the only Exotic bird hospital open on Sunday. We brought our Conure in and they tend to him within mins and handle everything in a professional and calming manner. They were very reassuring and explained everything in details on what they did and how to treat him when we take him home. Very grateful for them being open on a Sunday. Not a lot of Exotic Bird veterinary around the Palm Beach county area.

I really appreciate this place. We moved from NH and the costs there are extremely high (for some reason) for veterinary care and several vets that we went too overprescribed/over paneled/over vaccinated/EVERYTHING. I was really concerned after adopting my own dog this spring about vet care. I have seen Dr. Juetten a few times and she has had opportunities to “rip me off” as my family frequently experienced out east. She’s been nothing but conservative and I can tell she really loves and cares about animals. Everyone that works the front desk is super friendly. They got me in today short-notice when I was in a panic about some growths on my dog. Dr. Juetten could’ve sent away for labs, biopsies, etc “just to make sure” but she assured me they were completely benign while she could have really taken that and run with it. I really trust this clinic with my dog and would recommend them to friends and family.

Wow! What an amazing experience! The Bird and Exotic Hospital is the best, hands down! Doctor Rue is extremely knowledgeable, very detail oriented and attentive. The vet techs were amazing as well. The front desk staff were also amazing! I didn't have an appointment, and I called late in the day and they were booked, but the doctor told them to have me come on in anyway. My bearded dragon had been acting funny. They triaged him as soon as I walked in the door. The techs did their part in gathering info about him from me and then a little while later Dr. Rue came out with good news and shocking news..she said " he is a she, and pregnant!" Lmao, I was and still am, in shock! Needless to say, they took very good care of him and me while we were there. I will continue to go to The Bird and Exotic Hospital. They are amazing to say the least. 💯

Very good group of veterinarians in people are top notch. They can usually take care of minor emergencies but will recommend a 24 hr emergency vet hospital such as veg.

Clay Co Animal Hospital have taken care of eight of our family pets, over the 30-35 years we have used them. I highly recommend Dr Sue, Sheila, and the complete staff if you are looking for a loving, affordable, and friendly Vet and Animal Hospital. My furbabies all have lived to 15-16 years old, except our Cat. She lived to 23.

The issue is the vets do NOT tell you when your dog is being looked at how much it will COST. Brought my dog in recently, as he had eaten something off the grass & wasn’t feeling well, however, he was still running around normally & doing all his normal activities , but I was concerned , as he wasn’t eating as much & no stool in 2 days, the final tab, we were there 40 minutes $868, ARE YOU KIDDING ME..we’re getting another vet & Btw, friends of ours left that vet recently for a similar reason & then just this week we heard another negative story about this vet from a professional animal person we’ve known for years & respect .

A million stars - I’ve been to a couple other vets in the palm beach county area but this is the only one I’ll ever take my pets to now! My chameleon had a vitamin deficiency causing eye issues. I took her to a vet ER and they only gave me eye drops that didn’t treat the real issue so they didn’t help. Dr. Romo treated the actual issue and now she’s healthy

They really care and give you tips to make your husbandry and feeding routines perfect. Don’t try anywhere else this is the best vet in the county

I recently had to take my elder sick Beagle and companion of 10yrs in for what ended up becoming "end of life care". From the very beginning, the interactions with the amazing front desk staff, then the "rockstar" vet techs Alexa B. and Fabio Z. exuded professionalism and care which assured me I had brought my doggie to the right place. Then, speaking with Dr. Levengood where he kindly presented options for care but yet confidently stated the sad facts of her current situation, further provided comfort yet at the same time the courage to make the tough decisions needed. For such a tough visit, the entire staff made the process run smoothly yet extended great compassion during the emotional last moments with my companion of 10yrs. I couldn't ask for a better veterinarian staff to handle this situation with my pet and I very highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a vet practice to care for their own pets. I plan on coming to them for future pet care and I remain deeply grateful to them for their professionalism and kindness.

We have had Dr. Romo as our veterinarian for over 3 years now. We have followed him from the previous facilities to his the current clinic he owns, and there is a distinct reason why. He is great at what he does, a thorough and investigative doctor, who is also incredibly kind and thoughtful. He is always striving to do what is right for his patients, and will be honest when the prognosis is not what you want it to be. My husband and I drive 90 minutes to bring our ferrets, and do so gladly because we trust him implicitly. We will continue to do so. His staff are knowledgeable and practical, while also being attentive and warm. Frida is incredible at what she does, always great with the animals and never to busy to stop and ask how the client is as well. We are very thankful to have them as our vet, knowing they are there to take care of our pets has brought great piece of mind.

I had the best experience ever with Palisades Veterinary Clinic. My little baby, Meph, went there for cat boarding over a week. I was concerned as it was his first time boarding. When I arrived, the staff was the nicest ever. Meph is a French cat, and has a French passport. The staff took time to help me and check all the translations for the vaccines, as some of them do not have the same names. Then, they even offered complementary exams, if I wanted to, while Meph stayed there. I was highly surprised by their level of professionalism. When I picked up my cat, after a week, I was a bit afraid as he is very sensitive to stress. But I found a very healthy Meph, who was completely comfortable as soon as we got home. Under stress, he gets a lot of dandruff, and this time there was none. I highly recommend Palisades clinic. My best experience with veterinarian services.

They have excellent communication and transparent pricing. They always got my dog in quickly if she was sick. Better than my own doctor in terms of getting an appointment! Their whole process is great. Picking up meds is so easy. They removed a growth off my dogs eye a year ago. It’s healed nicely. We’re moving, so we have to change vets. We wish we could continue going here!! Thanks to Dr Johnson and the rest of the staff

Careless. Avoid this place, especially if you have smaller dogs. My dog’s last visit turned into nightmare. My dog was bitten here and had a resulting infection. No one on staff notified me of any incidents nor mentioned anything during pick up. My dog was acting slightly off when I picked him up, walking a little off and I noticed what looked like a small scrape on his behind. I cleaned it with soap and water and did not think much of it. I gave him a proper bath 2 days later and discovered a puncture wound underneath his fur, at this point, very swollen and red. I spent $1,000 in vet bills to clean the wound and in resulting antibiotics and anti-inflammation medications, on top of hearing him scream while he was getting medical care. While this was truly an awful experience, I would be less upset if someone had informed me of any accidents during his stay so we could get immediate medical care. I asked several times for video footage, and they kept saying they did not see anything abnormal, no accidents on video. Even then, they still did not show me any video footage whatsoever. If they are so attentive and really care to watch over your dogs, I still cannot fathom how this accident was not noticed at all or how anyone did not hear my dog yelping.

Mochi has been coming to Train My Dogs since February of this year. I wasn't happy with his first daycare as it was a mass free for all of what looked like a mosh pit. His second daycare wasn't a good fit due to their space or lack thereof and a few other happenings. They say the third time is the charm, and it definitely is with finding Train My Dogs in my daycare research.

I will admit I did do an intake of breath when I saw the price compared to what I had been paying. Then I looked at everything that was provided. The increase was only a $13 difference to what I was paying. What I was gaining with this price increase was priceless! I loved how on the first email exchange they sent me photos of the facility to squash my concerns due to my prior experiences. They do positivity training with Mochi when he is there, and he only goes twice a week. It's like valet a dog since they don't have a reception area. I call they come out to get Mochi in the morning and bring him out when I call to pick him up! I love that every time he goes it's like bringing home a new dog with everything he has learned, and it's always a surprise on what he likes to show off what he can do!

The staff is absolutely amazing! There is constant communication, and I'm talking real communication not the blasé “he had fun today at daycare....” where you wonder if they even noticed your dog.

Mochi suffers from FOMO so when he's not waiting by the door on Monday's and Thursday's his daycare days, he is trying to convince me he needs to be going more often. This typically is done in a more dramatic fashion if he was Facebook Famous that week.

I cannot say enough good things about this clinic. The owner Dr. Tim saved my puppy! He brought in a board-certified surgeon Cody Burns, between the two of them he was immediately operated on after he was diagnosed with an intussusception at 13 weeks old. All of the staff that took care of him were exceptional. I highly recommend this clinic for your pet needs. Thank you to all of you, especially Steve and and Skylar for your care of my precious baby.

If I could give them a zero, I would. Total disregard for a safe environment. One of my family members has been immune suppressed. When I was checking in my dogs, I asked Technician 1, "My son is immune suppressed, is anyone sick here?" Her reply was "No, everyone is fine."

Technician 2 takes the dogs into the room. I asked "My son is immune suppressed, is anyone sick here?" She said, "No, no one is sick." "Someone had something awhile ago, but no one else got it."

Technician 3 starts taking the history of the dogs and I ask, "My son is immune suppressed, I can't be around anyone who is sick.
is anyone sick here?" She said "No one is sick."

Vet comes in wearing mask and gloves and I'm like, "Oh great, she's trying to be supportive." I said, "I can't be around anyone sick, my son is immune suppressed, he got a kidney transplant." She said "Oh, that's quite an accomplishment." Then she starts to check the dogs. Half way through, I notice that she sounds hoarse. I ask her, "Are you sick?" She said, "Yes, I'm at the tail end of being ill."

After darting out of the room, I lost it and started screaming at the people at the front desk.

Why couldn't they just reschedule the appointment?

If they can't listen to a simple request like this, I wouldn't trust them to listen to you at all with concerns about your pets.

Our golden retriever developed some reactive tendencies after our move to Austin, so we enlisted help from Train My Dogs. We worked with Michael for 10 sessions, and each time we strengthened our relationship with our pup. Michael was professional, kind, and very responsive — he even took us to different locations to help us get to know Austin. We learned so much as first-time dog owners that we'll be able to take with us for all future dogs, and I'm so thankful for that.

Our pup Harry was obsessed with Michael and was always excited to see him, whether it was at training or daycare. I highly recommend working with Michael and sending your pup to daycare on occasion.

Fired me right before the holidays. Tried to set me up like I didn’t show up but I have all the texts saved. Don’t trust these people. After being behind the scenes I would NEVER bring my pet there. The techs are NOT certified. Only the doctors are. They lie and lie and talk behind all the clients backs, and that goes for the “older” people who work there. One more thing. Don’t board your pet here. Unless you want it to be cold in the dark and alone for most of the stay. Sorry someone had to expose this place….

My fav vet ever ! I have 3 cats and this is the only vet I take them too. The doctor and staff are fantastic, everyone who works here is super friendly and helpful. I needed a last minute appointment and they were able to fit me in just in time ! Take your animals here and they will receive excellent care ! Would give 10 stars if I could !

My first visit with my crazy chihuahua Gizmo went fantastic!! Everyone at the vet office is super nice and very caring.
Even the clients seem very happy.

I have complete confidence in the care my pet receives. You can see from his picture that my dog is calm and patiently waiting to be seen by the doctor. That says alot when even the patient is relaxed and doesnt have anxiety.
My pets have been clients here for more than 20 years and I would not consider taking them anywhere else.

I called last week and explained my situation to a trainer. While I know that this is a unique situation, I explained everything very transparently. The trainer stated with the time frame I have in mind, it may not be possible to get my dog perfectly trained, but that we should see some improvements, which I was very fine with. She recommended an initial training session that I did schedule to have the following week. Fast forward to the day of this appointment, I call for clarification on where training will happen…i get a call back to hear that my appt was cancelled and they could not help my dog. Nobody called to let me know and I had cleared many things from a busy schedule to accommodate the time they had available. It would have been really nice to know ahead of time or at the time I made the appointment, not me hunting you down to learn it was cancelled. Also, just the general tone the trainer used to inform me that she refused to train my dog was pretty rude and abrasive. I do not recommend this company.

Great staff! Very friendly and accommodating. I saw Dr Lisa McNeil and my grumpy cat seemed to really like her and the assistant. I really like how she was with my kitty. Very gentle and talked to him in such a calm soothing tone. She was great! Will definitely be back! Also want to say that the pet desk website is so helpful!! Thank you!

4/3/23 Wanted to update my review to again say how pleased I am with this clinic! I had to take my dog in today on a ‘semi’ emergency visit and I’ll be coming here from now on. I was going somewhere else but this clinic and every staff member I’ve met has exceeded my expectations! Thank you so much!

They saw my guinea pig for skin irritation and he’s already doing better one day later. Dr was so polite and kind. Very good bedside manner. He was very knowledgeable and gave me concise directions with a lot of useful information. The receptionist was so polite, too. You can tell these people really love animals and love their jobs.

Go mobile would be the only thing you guys could do to improve. Service here is already A++++++!!!! The front office is great, the techs are awesome and Dr. Moore is amazing! He makes my nervous girl feel so comfortable. I wouldn’t trust my animals to anyone else. My family has trusted their pets to this office for 40 years.

The Merrick Veterinary Group is such a great place! The doctors/staff are truly amazing people. The way they take care of my dog makes me so happy. They helped him get through a lot. My cat is 20 years old just recently started having health issues. Rushed her there immediately and they took the best care of her. My cat Noel was legit on her death bed the day we took her to the Merrick Veterinary Group. They took her under their wings and gave her the treatment she needed. A few days later we started seeing a big difference in her. But I believe if it wasn’t for them my cat Noel would not be here right now. I’m beyond thankful for them. Xoxo

I have used Merrick Veterinary Group since we got our first puppy "Spike" back in 2000. They have always been there for us. We could call them, no matter what, and they would address our needs. Unfortunately after 17 years we had to put our beloved Spike to sleep back in 2017. We contacted Dr. Villa, it was a Saturday and they were getting ready to close for the day. Dr. Villa and her staff told us they would wait as long as it would take to bring him in! As any animal lover knows, it is the hardest thing in the world to do! We can't thank them enough for all that they did for us during our time of grief. We have since gotten another puppy, "Zipper" and we couldn't be happier having Dr. Villa and her staff as his veterinarian group! I highly recommend them!

They always provide alternatives and tiered levels of diagnostics including imaging and labs. I especially appreciate this, because I have a very good understanding of medical procedures including veterinarian care.

Highly experienced, fantastic trainers here. They run their day care with trainers, and I always knew my pup was in good hands. We’ve since moved out of state, but I feel that the time he spent here set him up for a lifetime of success. They also did a great job of reinforcing skills that he was learning from other trainers. And the pricing for all of this was unbelievably modest - I didn’t really pay more than a few extra dollars a week to have my dog cared for by experts!

I reached out to Train my Dogs to get their take on some specialized training for my, 1 year old, 80lb dog, Loui. Who loved to jump when greeted, pull constantly when walking, and had pretty bad anxiety in some situations. Had some private 1x1 training sessions with Heather where I was taught how to handle/work with Loui to improve these situations. It’s been about 3 months since we started the training and the improvements have been amazing in all of the areas! After the sessions we decided to try him in doggy day care, and he loves it there! Seeing pictures on their Facebook page of the dogs at daycare makes it that much better (: You can tell that Jeannette and Heather both genuinely care about the dogs and that they have their best interest in mind. Which means a lot when you see how much they care about your own dog. I know he is in good hands when I leave him there and that his training is still being applied. I’m so glad I found Train My Dogs Austin.

We have been using the Merrick Vet Group since 1994 - The doctors, techs & staff are excellent & treat my dog Mollie with love (and my dog Fluffy that passed away at 15 1/2, they were her Vet as well) - as she requires special treatment for anxiety from being an abused puppy. They always manage to squeeze us in if we have an urgent matter and I love the reminder emails about her shots that are needed. We are loyal to Dr. May & Dr Villa and trust they will always care for Mollie like their own dogs... I am a real person & am not receiving any compensation for writing this HONEST & TRUTHFUL review of their practice. I believe is giving credit, when credit is due.

I’ve had very positive experiences at Merrick Veterinary Group. They have cared for my two cats for over 12 years. When my one cat got very ill, they handled the situation with compassion and honesty. I would highly recommend!

I have been bringing our pets here for a while, but when I went to order flea & tic protection like normal, and Heart worm protection,
They held it for ransom unless we did another exam, which is costly including 6 months of protection medication. Time to find a better vet. Very disappointed!

Over the summer I adopted a rescue pup. Shortly after I was deployed to Texas to support hurricane Harvey relief. I didn't want to board my dog during this prime time of bonding and training. Beyond that leaving the family for many weeks I wanted the companion support! I looked at a few options and noted that Train My Dog would have pro trainers working with my pet on a daily basis. After I met with them for the trial day I could tell my dog loved the place and the staff, so I immediately signed up. They were phenomenal!! The staff became like my little friends at the end of the day telling me about who my dog was friends with, what he had been learning, tips for how to work with him such as safely going off leash and helping him overcome his fear of elevators. Best investment I could have made. I'm leaving Austin, but my dog is graduating cum laude. I would return here in a heartbeat! Thank you for all who have been patient with my frantic schedule!

We've been working with Heather and she's been great. Our dog has already progressed after 2 sessions and we couldn't be happier with the advice we've gotten and the patience that Heather has. We definitely recommend them no matter what you're looking to train you're dog for.
