Nice place, it is go to place who have some knowledge about history. The place looks good the surroundings are great, you can see many things there like war memorials that are on walking distance. It has museum at the lower level good to see that too. There is no ticket you just go and visit.
Amazing to see the Lincoln Memorial! Seeing it books, shows, or movies doesn't do it justice. Absolutely breathtaking and ambiance of seeing Lincoln in the chair is just something else.
Amazing experience, I have visited twice and each time I feel a peacefulness by the Potamac with Dr. King overlooking it and Washington monument.

A very beautiful Memorial to a war often forgotten. The names carved in stone remind you real quick of those that gave their lives in this war. The wall of pictures and faces is beautiful. Take your time here.

This poignant national landmark and memorial to the veterans of the forgotten war is one of the most breathtaking memorials on the national mall. It features a wall of honor, listing by rank, all the dead from the different branches of service, another granite honor wall showing the faces of some of these veterans, a flowing water feature, and a squad of giant soldiers on permanent patrol. The message is clear, and despite propaganda movies and TikToks to the contrary, one only needs to do a quick current comparison between the twin Koreas to see the reason behind the war; furthermore, if additional info is needed, you can run over to the Wilson Center Digital Archives and see declassified telexes between Mao and Stalin to see what the grand plan was all along. This memorial stands in contrast to others on this mall - it’s a remembrance of these veterans and why they sacrificed, but it’s also a stark warning for those unprepared for tomorrow.
Great park, plenty of room for kids to enjoy exploring and adults can keep a good eye on their little ones.

Really cool memorial, very close to the Lincoln Memorial. Free to the public, no tickets needed. The memorial has life size soldier statues in the grass area. If you’re walking down the path from the Lincoln to the Korean War Memorial, look to you left once you arrive and you’ll see the Washington Monument.

Visiting the Lincoln Memorial is always an awesome experience. Designed by Henry Bacon (1866-1924), it was constructed between 1915 and 1922. This is the closest the US has to a secular shrine. Perfectly located at the end of the Mall on the opposite end from the Capitol, the views across the Mall and the Reflecting Pool are epic. The Gettysburg address inside is a must read.

I'd rate the Lincoln Memorial in DC with four stars. While it wasn't my absolute favorite monument, I must admit that the view from there is undeniably pretty. The grandeur of the Lincoln statue and the historical significance of the location are impressive. It's a great spot for reflecting on American history and enjoying the view of the Reflecting Pool and the Washington Monument in the distance. However, the crowds can be overwhelming, and the interior space can feel a bit cramped during peak times. Nonetheless, it's a must-visit for anyone exploring the National Mall.
I had an amazing opportunity to watch a movie on the grass across from the MLK memorial in Washington DC, and it was an unforgettable experience. The setup was incredible, with a large outdoor screen set up against the backdrop of the MLK memorial, creating a truly unique atmosphere.

It's an awesome place to visit and the Big Bus has stop here too! It's just on the shores of the Tidal basin and there are other memorials close by to visit including the Franklin D. Roosevelt memorial, and the Vietnam War Memorial.

My visit to the Lincoln Memorial was truly great! The grandeur of this iconic monument is awe-inspiring. The peaceful reflection pool in front of it adds to the overall tranquility of the setting, making it a perfect place for contemplation and taking in the significance of Lincoln's legacy. If you're in Washington, D.C., a visit to the Lincoln Memorial is an absolute must; it's a profound and memorable encounter with the nation's history and values.
This is a definite don’t miss when walking the mall. I viewed it during the day and did a night bus tour that stops here. Unfortunately I did not have my phone working (battery 🙄) so I could not view. I believe there is an elevator but if you can do it I recommend the stairs. Seeing Lincoln for the first time is pretty amazing. Once you are at the top the view of the mall is breathtaking. It never gets old walking the Mall.

While visiting the City of New Orleans, we stopped by Mt. Olivet to take care of some business and to visit our family grave site. We had the pleasure of meeting the General Manager, Albert Delaney, who found it not robbery to escort us personally to their new office which we could not locate (the old office building had been torn down while the site was being renovated). He could have easily given us directions or had a staff walk us over but he added that personal touch by escorting us himself. That let us know that he knew the importance of providing excellent customer service. It didn’t stop there, after interacting with the front desk, Paula McFarland, continued to provide that same type of “excellent customer service” that we experienced from the GM. I would tell anyone who needs this type of service if you don’t go to Mt. Olivet, where not only do they show you that your business is greatly appreciated, extend compassionate and caring service, and treat you as though you are part of their family, you are missing out. Thanks Mr. Delaney and Ms. McFarland, you two made our day.

Gallery pear tree that survived the 9/11 attacks. According to the plaque, the wrecked tree was moved to a nursery in the Bronx where it was taken care of. It recovered and has been planted once again on this spot, proudly standing still as a symbol of American resilience with a small American flag stuck inside of it.

Mount Oliver was extremely helpful working with Norman was a pleasure. He made this broken heart situation easy. The two Gentleman that put my Mom's Casket inside the Mausoleum was very customer service friendly.
A true symbol of American resilience - this tree survived the attacks on the Twin Towers. It is a captivating and must-visit part of the Ground Zero area.

After 33 years, we are seeing the June 4th sprint in China again.
This is a tree that was heavily damaged during the collapse and fires. It was nursed back to health and replanted. A true symbol to me that is what we as Americans do.. we get back up and try again. We fight to get back what we lost. When the odds are stacked against us, we find a way to beat those odds. Making us stronger.

Family services at Mount Olivet was handle professionally with dignity of loss love one and surviving family. Ms. Lectikia Johnson our assigned coordinator can to the ending service to assure all went well this may be a part of her duties but it does add a personal touch to the process!

Good place to hike... The park is pretty big.. they have a play ground for kids.. they also have a picnic area.... Really nice park
Love this place... very clean, family friendly and lots of parking. Love hiking here. Always gives me a run for my money. Totally drench when I am done. Completely beast.

John Marshall Park is a spacious public park in Judiciary Square just off Pennsylvania Avenue next to the Canadian Embassy and the courthouse. It's named after the longest-serving chief justice, John Marshall, and there's a statue at the top of the park in honor of him. Nearby is another statue of two men playing chess, John Marshall's favorite game. There are plenty of benches making it a quiet place to enjoy lunch or a rest from site seeing.
Nice place to rest after walking the national mall. Warning *** the homeless like to sleep on the benches here. There are also a lot of skateboarders in this park. It is appropriately shaded here.

The John Marshall Memorial Park is a small stretch of green space on Penn Ave. between 4th and 5th street. It is a quiet place near NGA and Newseum to grab a seat if you need a rest from sightseeing.
A neat attraction you can see here is the seated and robed statue of Chief Justice John Marshall. This is a recast of the original which is located at the Supreme Court. There are also two bronze figures seated and playing chess, an apparent favourite hobby for Marshall.

The John Marshall Park is a great place to sit down and have lunch with a friend. We were there for the March for Our Lives rally, what a great experience for my family and me!

A great monument with an amazing view of the beach 🏝 Sunset 🌅 is great as the sun goes down over the ocean. Some nice seating around with grassy areas and pathways to walk along.
Short, but steep trail hike behind the Veterans Memorial Park! Gorgeous view of the valley at the top. Multiple ways to get there. One is to follow the cemented road for a more comfortable path or you can take the steep hill which can be a bit more challenging. If you do take the latter, make sure you wear a pair of non-slip hiking shoes. Running shoes may not give you enough grip. Highly recommended for a 1 to 2 hour comfortable/intermediate hike. Kids and elderly welcome to go through the cemented trail. Parking available at the Veterans Park.

Great shrine for the 1989 heroes of China, a world away from this place. A giant cry for DEMOCRACY! Best time to visit is early morning when there are less chance for photobombers to show up for that selfie of yours.
John Marshall Park is dedicated to one of the most prolific public servants in U.S. History. The Park features a Statue of Chief Justice Marshall, seating, sculptures, and small fountains. The park could use some upkeep and freshening up, but it is a welcome place for a short visit, or to linger and eat your lunch.
