I applied for a loan online. I got approved. I went into the branch District Heights Maryland to bring in my paperwork information. When they finish processing, it came back and told me it was not qualified. I left and one minute later my cell phone was ringing multiple times to come back into the office. There was a mistake with my paystub they apologize. We started the process to get my loan and I got it. Thank you.

I would rather lick a belt sander than go in here. The only thing you can count on is there cashiers coming up with a new way to not be helpful. Sometimes they just don’t take deposits, sometimes they’ll just invent a reason to not make change for you. It’s honestly impressive that they are consistently so bad. What kind of bank requires you to have another account at another bank just to conduct business (shout out TD Bank for being the GOAT). I wish I didn’t have to rate it 1 star, because stars produce light, which is actually useful. If you think I’m making any of this up ask s anyone what they think of this place. It seems like everybody has at least one story like this.

My experience was very pleasant. My loan was processed efficiently and promptly. Ms. Shauntee was very courteous and really made me feel like a valued client. I would definitely recommend Mariner to anyone for financial needs.

He was super responsive with any questions we had (which we all know is SUPER important in this crazy market) and also kept our realtor updated as well. I've received terrible service from Citi Mortgage services. My loan was assigned to Thomas Kamau who went on leave, the person to cover while he was away was supposed to be his manager, and his manager took his vacation at the same time. I tried to get another rep, Ashley Ford who kept telling me she will take care of it, call me within the hour but that never happened, she dodged my calls, refused to let me talk to her manager... Thomas was supposed to return on May 9th at 9:30am from his vacation, the house was to stop accepting offers at 12noon. I called over 50 times and left numerous voicemails, emails, texts and they wouldn't even assign this case to anyone else.
Long story short, we lost the offer due to their inability in getting me the papers required. DO NOT use their service for time sensitive claims, this is a prime example of awful customer service.

My husband and I are so grateful to Joe Dawson and his team for everything they’ve done! We appreciate them making this happen as quickly as possible. The team was able to get all our information together, reviewed, and finalized in under a month, even with a national holiday right before our closing. NEW 4/2024 REVIEW: They get you here to WAIT foreverrrrerer… I’ve been here for an hour and a half. Whewwwww. Finally out the door after almost TWO HOURS. What’s the point of the online application or being a returning customer if they wait to do the work when you get here. THIS WAS HORRIBLE !!!

The least they can do for their customers when asking what time they will arrive is to let them know that the process could take up to two hours. They have NO REGARDS or CONCERNS for other activities SUCH AS WORK, That a person may have to do.

OLD 2022 REVIEW:
I was extremely grateful for the approval in my time if need but having to call back quite a few times just to find out application status was a little annoying especially since when I initially called they said it is usually within a few hours. My approval took 1 1/2 days then i was called 30 minutes before the place closed going into a holiday weekend. I had to call in to confirm receipt of my document upload which they hadn’t even looked at. I stayed on the line while the pulled the documents and was told that someone would call me back about next steps. 2 hrs later I called back and was told that I could come on in. I arrived and had no idea that the process would take over an hour. I had a meeting to get back to which I shared upon arrival. In spite of that I kept being left in a room alone for time spans when I had no idea what was happening. After that, I went to the bank that their check was drawn on and had problems cashing the check even though I bank there too. It took two tellers and a manager almost 30 minutes to ‘verify’ the check. They couldn’t find what ‘location’ it originated from. Although the check was eventually cashed the manager let me know that she’s FAMILIAR with this company and they write A LOT of checks daily so they have to go through this verification process. The bank manager’s implications made me very uncomfortable. I hope things are easy from this point.
