Day 1 you think the team is great, helpful, kind, etc. I’m now 45 day post sale and this has been the worst, sloppiest team I’ve ever worked with. My guess is they are overwhelmed and overworked but you are basically handed off to a half wit assistant (in my case a Carmin Newman) who could literally not read and struggled to get anything correct. I constantly was triple checking what she said always to find out she was wrong, she would call me back to back even after I had repeatedly said I was in meetings. When I got my final paperwork it was all incorrect too, none of my numbers matched and they had sold a loan with no mortgage ins then tried to force me to accept mortgage insurance language the day I was closing. Sloppy Carmin kept saying this like “it’s ok to just sign it, we won’t charge it to you, we just need it to go like this to the approved.” Huh, that’s mortgage fraud? Fortunately my incredible realtor stepped in and got the language removed. Then, after they sold my loan immediately (so it’s clear they can’t even be trusted to get you the best rate) they didn’t pass any of my info correctly to the new lender. When I asked this team for support, sloppy Carmin immediately replied that my payment wasn’t due for another month. I asked her again to confirm that and she says “oh ya, my slip up.” Still haven’t been able to make my first payment.

they do late work , don't get back to you when needed , doesn't do paperwork i. time waits till last minute to handle things , And after they got the money they left and went on vacation when they supposed to be doing the closing for the house close next week this are so unprofessional

They got me the best rate possible in this economy. Thank you for going the extra mile!

***STAY AWAY FROM SPECTRA CREDIT UNION***This company is a complete clown show. They apparently took over other lending companies and didn't tell anyone THEY are the new lender. They call you with a strange unknown name, but won't say who they took over. I think they are Purposely acting like scammers so you block them, and then jack up your credit and fine you when you miss your 1st payment. VERY SHADY COMPANY

Website says it opens at 8am. It's 8:15 am and doors are not opened. There are no operational hrs posted on their doors.

She was with us through the mortgage process and was able to turn things around immediately which is key in such a competitive market. She was able to close in two weeks, which made us even more competitive and it’s rare that a lender is able to guarantee a two week closing. If your looking to be competitive in the DC market, make sure Hillary is on your team. If you’re looking for a mortgage, be sure to call Hillary. She also came highly recommended by several agents.

This is the second time I’ve worked with Chris Washburn. With my experience with various lenders, I realized how much difference it could be when working with a good lender and versus a mediocre ones. Chris and his team is unbelievably responsive, thorough, and an outstanding communicator. I always know exactly what’s going on and how the process is unfolding. On top of that, both times I’ve gotten good rates! The system of Caliber is intuitive and easy to use. When the market is hot and there are competitive offers for bidding a house, Chris’s faster underwriting timeline is great competitive factor. Overall it a very smooth process from start to finish and I would absolutely recommend this team.

So shady, don't trust these people. They (Adam and Co.) screwed over a buyer, spewed straight lies, and were totally incompetent when "attempting" to close a loan for a legitimately qualified buyer. It was abundantly clear they don't care about the sellers and buyers impacted by their actions (or lack thereof). Once the buyer jumped ship from this joke of a company and went to a REAL company, the loan was closed in FIFTEEN days. Maybe if Adam spent less time at Terps games, this loan would have closed. You are not a priority to this company. Treat yourself better and look elsewhere!

They are not trustworthy. After giving a "clear to close " as the families involved were packed in there moving trucks ready to drive to their new home and was told by this LENDER that the LENDER made a mistake. Neither family was compensated for their loss. DO NOT USE THIS LENDER

Chris and Jeff were awesome to work with. Not only did they keep me in the loop every step of the way they also took the time to explain the entire mortgage process. Chris should teach a course on the mortgage industry, he is patient and thorough. I have used them 3 times so far and have recommended them to my parents, many friends and clients. I would highly recommend the Washburn Mortgage team to anyone looking to purchase or refinance. I value a company that services their own loans. It means a lot that I know I can make one quick phone call to get an answer instead of getting transferred 5 x before I get to the person that can help. This is been a very lengthy process. 1st my loan was late. My first draw was late. And my second draw is wrong. Through all of this Jordan has been very nonchalant about help and assisting. Will not answer phone or call me back. Will not respond to emails. Very unprofessional!!!!. They made Great money from my deal and I'm treated like scum!!! Will never do business with them again or Recommend!!!! Still trying to get my second draw correct with out Great Jones's Help (Jordan). What a cluster! I WISH THERE WAS a No Star as a choice.... As I'm Completely Unsatisfied as a Customer! This is my first review of any company as a 1 Star review just so you can understand the Frustration I'm Dealing with. I hope this will help someone else not go through this as I did.

Jordan closed the loan in 7 days!! He showed great attention to detail, the company (Great Jones Capital), has a unique and personalized service and they mean what they say! Not all loans or buyers will ever be the same, Jordan understands this. He demonstrated creativity in closing the loan, that was otherwise difficult to close with other lenders. Again, only 7 business days to close the loan, he made this happen for us. Three previous lenders promised to deliver and no one could deliver! Thank you, Jordan at Great Jones Capital, you have a client for life. We will refer you to others without thinking twice!
