I got married here and this place is beautiful and the process was quick and organized. Please do not order your marriage certificate via mail because it will take an unnecessarily longer amount of time than they say it will. I still haven’t gotten mine and it’s been well past the 5-10 business days I was told it would take to get to me. There’s no tracking number with no way to track it and there is no electronic form for it to be sent. If you, can pick it up.
Meter parking that accepts coins and credit cards. Museum is on the entry level, you go upstairs for the recorder. Was able to get our marriage license and the entire process (with an appt) only took maybe 20mins.

Lets start off with where was dowgins concern when a pipe bomb was thrown down our cast iron stove 3 a.m. while I was being incarcerated contempt since refused to participate in their scheme of unethical behavior? Judge Dowgin does not represent the community. Dowgins plays dirty politics!

So brunswick never denied the horrible acts, they just called it no wrong doing. REally??? That is like robbing someone and calling it no wrong doing. Judge dowgin is so corrupt. I can prove beyond all doubt that he smeared me in the court system so that I would be guilty before I even step foot in court. Judge Herman was told negative false lies about me before I appeared in court by Judge Dowgins. judge dowgins needs to be charge with obstruction of justice.

Then the fake capitol would be out of the picture. And technology with its bias coded that way by the engineers placed into those schools and jobs by a biased society like baseball can all be easily rolled up categorically and discarded

This temple of justice is a beautiful piece of classic architecture, just across the the Capitol building. If it is not closed with fencing, definitely go up the stairs and check out the detail and beauty of the main door. Views of the Capitol building from the top of the stairs is incredible through the columns. Two beautiful statutes frame the building. Well worth a visit.
This court house was such a fun vibe for a Valentine's Day Elopement. All the staff was friendly and efficient. There are a lot of pretty little spots for taking photos.

Great to visit the Supreme Court if you’re in DC. the entry is not ticketed and there is about 30 min wait to get in

- Masking is no longer enforced.
- Couples can have 0-2 witnesses sign their marriage license.
- Couples can bring guests for their onsite ceremony.
- Ceremonies take place in front of an altar again (room A or B) or at the superior courtroom if you pay the additional fee (highly recommended if you have a larger group).
- If you get married during a busy day (Friday or the one Saturday a month they are open), allow extra time in case you need to park at the nearby parking lots or structures since the little courthouse lot does get full quickly.
- The city contracted a third party, and parking tickets *are* being issued.
- You can pay with coins or credit card but need to be careful about the expiration time.
- You can use the convenient phone app, but you will pay 20 cents extra per hour (whyyy).

It is true, this building the Supreme Court of the United States is the real “Marble Palace”. Excellent architecture and design seen all over. Through wikipedia I learned associate justices make salary of $268, 300 and the chief justice is paid $280,500 per year according to the year 2021. Like any-other county justices are nominated by the president in power and confirmation by U.S Senate. This building is open to the public from 9 AM to 4:30 PM on weekdays and closed on weekends. There is a Cafeteria and a gift shop inside. Visitors can get seated, there are about 240+ seats available.

The female clerk who answers the tech line instantly takes an abusive tone when defendants state they can not join the zoom call. Remote hearing instructions state to call this number if you have problems appearing remotely. They will blame your equipment and claim No one ever has issues and only you have a problem yet time and time again in court it is voiced there ARE equipment issues and it is well know that zoom has serious issues.

This court doesn’t follow covid 19 protocols and it has no respect for the covid tenant relief act. Multiple laws are ignored. The Covid 19 declarations by law were to be served to the landlord and the landlord was required to provide that form to the tenant. But one judge in the bench lies and states you must have filed your declaration with the court and that you submitting it to the landlord doesn’t apply to your case. At least one judge just ignores filed declarations completely and does not dismiss the case per law.

my sister was treated like a criminal after she had a jury duty notice the chubby lady with the blond hair drilled her worse than the immigration dept and what work does she do her English is ok but broken and does not understand what a grand jurist should made her so nervous before the supervisor released her she had no reason to ask so many personal questions she is from Poland and a tax paying U.S. citizen
If you are a defendant or litigant with a case pending before this court, you’ll appreciate the most recent batch of retirements and new appointments. For the last twenty or so years, many judges from this court engaged in quiet non-decent. What this is….these moral-less judges would strike a pact, “if you don’t decent my opinion, I won’t decent yours”. As harmless as such practice may seem, in actuality, it’s very bad. As used historically in this court, it becomes a “if you don’t decent my bad opinion, I’ll not decent your bad opinion”. Judges guilty of this behavior, though now retired are Fybel, Ikola, Aronson, just to name a few. Interestingly, any panel having O’Leary as a participant would be devoid of this bad behavior, because she was and is always willing to write a decenting opinion. Sadly, one member of non-decenters remains today, they being the dishonorable Eileen Moore. You’ll recognize her as being the jurist boasting a questionable degree, from a diploma mill university she never attended, obtained after more than twenty years on the bench, “achieved” solely to get a raise in pay from the state. Sadly, she will likely remain on the bench till her death. Her belief that she is superior in skill to her peers makes her reluctant to seek part-time retirement work from ADR. Simply put, she’s too good to work amongst her peers. Also, her reverse mortgage won’t support her lifestyle, and her many failed marriages mean she will always remain a single income existence. All we can do is wait for nature to take its course. Till then, hope and pray she’s not on your panel.
The museum was empty because they have not placed displays out yet during the reopening from COVID. Not sure when that happens with the timeline. Beautiful building! Luckily, I had a OC Parks pamphlet from before COVID that provided a lot of information that I might have missed. It might be a better trip to wait for when things fully reopen? UPDATE! Please take picture of the stamp court date when dropping legal documents in the drobox at 500 Indianan Ave. NW. If they can't find your documents, make a complaint with the Director's office or the mayor's office. This is the 3rd time I am having problems filing my legal documents at drobox. I STRONGLY FEEL SOME of the clerks and supervisors are intentionally losing documents when you have a large number of documents to submit. Also, I STRONGLY BELIEVE they are doing this so you can be forced to e-file; however, they forget that they have to accommodate the disabled and seniors who cannot use computers.
Called to get info on a motion and an African American employee answering the phone for the Civil Branch by name Adrienne or so started talking smart like she was in a club and hung up on me. A court employee being rude and hanging up while offering legal services that may be critical. If she is not fired that facility will have serious work issues.

I'm in New Jersey. I'd rather hear the recorded phone messages then talk to reception. Their tone is as if they have an attitude. ALWAYS! I asked a simple question about my case...the rep says, "Well I'm home your welcome to call tomorrow." Her tone though! I just hang up and hopefully I can talk to someone who isn't ignorant. If you don't like your job quit!!! And let civilized people handle it.

Well this court system is broken you can see when they have a preference. I had a case in which one I was accused of domestic violence against someone when was not, when we present the proof The prosecutor name Tonya, was not accepting my evidences and she was making fun of me when I was asking for a translator she was one of the many in the court system that is corrupted. I had a order of protection for me and my daughter and the person violate this order many times and none of them they want to see the proof that I was presenting the prosecutor Tonya didn’t want to take it so you can see the preference on the favoritism that they have and maybe also he was being paid for...
This past Friday 2/5 was my first time photographing a ceremony at this beautiful courthouse. While still under Covid guidelines, we (couple + myself) make the most with our surroundings. I was able to capture a first look, gorgeous portraits on the staircase, and we even did a petal toss. Their COVID-19 precautions are seriously lacking. If you get assigned to a case in this building, do everything possible to get out of it.
I called for help with a question regarding a concern I have and a woman named Susan (I do not know her last name) was so nasty. I couldn’t believe how rude she was. She had a horrible attitude. Very upset with how I was treated.
The clerks that work here are very rude and unprofessional and never on time. I have a written notice to be here at 0830am and I arrive on time. I walk to the courtroom and the door is locked I waited until 845 when I noticed the clerk walk back inside. I then approach the door again and its still locked however this time the clerk is sitting in the chair and states she isn't ready. Its not my fault you are late but not only that but unprofessional as well. It was an appointed time for me to be here so therefore someone should be here ready and available. This is what happens when you have black unprofessionals in office and there actions of being tardy are not held accountable
We missed the oral arguments but still got to tour the ground. Its the very center of the interpretation of our most important laws and I got the feeling of awe entering here. Many great social decisions were made here. Decisions that make me very proud of the direction we can get to and not the direction we left behind. Even got myself a nice coin from the store.
I’ve been coming to the outside of SCOTUS for years as a place for silent reflection. But never have I gone inside. Wow! What an amazing building.

The Court had to use dark old basement rooms and former senate chambers for decades! (See attached photos)
And finally when the land and funding was given to this 3rd Co-Equal Branch, it got buried behind the Capitol structure and the mall. Not a prominent placement like the Whitehouse or Congress.

I got married here on a Thursday and it was really busy in the late afternoon but since I made an appointment check in was really easy and quick. We got to have a larger room that was very nice and the officiant was quick. They let you exchange rings and recite your own vows if you want to well.
I got married here way back in 2014. Decided to walk thru on my lunch break when I was serving jury duty. It really brought back many memories and the place looks just like it did then. Also, fun fact this is one of the filming spots for legally blonde

the upper floor of this decrepit building holds a secret, the nyc trash museum. curated by a hoarder (how cruel it must be to be a hoarder working for the department of sanitation), there's rows upon rows of strange finds, arranged thematically. you have the obligatory creepy dolls section, but also beer steins, bad art, motivational posters, appliances, and so much more. you could easily imagine this as the backdrop for a MGMT music video.
👮any building that house law enforcement is a safe trip for bandits to go to jail..😱 with out law is no order 😚😌 🙊
According to wikipedia this is the "Old City Hall" building which is now DC Court of Appeals and in front is the oldest statue of Lincoln in Washington DC and John Marshall park forms a great public plaza in front all the way to Pennsylvania Avenue.
Despite working out of condemned building this garage does it’s job above and beyond. They have very little help on repairing this building because other sanitation garages takes precedence over it. The guys here are still one of the best I have seen at getting the garbage off the street and plowing street during storms. If the neighborhood would be respectful enough to stay off the road when plowing and park unselfishly then I am sure this garage will have an even more productive fight during storms.

Historic Courthouse and 4th oldest building in DC with a storied past.
Magnificent modern building! I did not do any business here. I was just taking a leisurely stroll after getting off the ferry, and this building caught my attention.
Gorgeous architecture. Very informative museum style displays Highly recommend for families. Impressive sculptures and portrait paintings of justices. High quality food in the cafe
The new building is very modern and clean. Their staff is great
The escalators are often broken, forcing a large number of people into the already crammed elevators, which only makes service slower. If you're able-bodied (that includes not having a chronic pain/fatigue disability), please take the stairs. Also, pro-tip: the front door is super crowded with long lines. If you're in a rush, consider going in the back door (you still have to go through security of course, but there's usually a much shorter/nonexistent line).
Unfortunately the case here was dismissed.
