Buyer beware……My daughter was slotted to take skiing lessons during mid-winter break. Unfortunately, she ended up sick the day lessons were to start. She had a 104 fever and we ended up in ER when she started vomiting blood. When we got home the next day I called Maple Ridge and asked about either a refund or credit to use at a later time. They said since I signed a waiver, there was nothing they could do! While I do understand that, I also feel that there should be some exceptions for things beyond our control, especially when you have documented paperwork from the hospitals stating COVID or positive test for the flu. Buyer beware.
Our recent visit left me with warm memories and a newfound appreciation for this charming ski spot. We will be back next year!

Overall good experience. The tubing is great for kids I'd say but in general it's lack luster and wastes so much time trying to go down the bigger hill with the slow lines. Tubing use to be more fun back in the days. Now there's a lot more safety protocols and stuff like that which makes it pretty boring. I didn't try the skiing so can't comment on that

Don't go tubing here. They sell as many tickets as they can with no regard for customer experience. Got total of 5 runs in 2 hours. $8 a run for tubing is ridiculous. Went to customer service after 3 runs and 1:15 to see about a refund or voucher for another day. They said too bad so sad and claimed it's advertised on the website how few runs you'll get in. I'm still looking for this info detailed on the website but have yet to find it. They said if we wanted to get more runs in we needed to use the hill meant for toddlers. They told us we should head back out and get in whatever runs we could with our remaining time. No concern for the poor experience. Still unhappy with the experience afterwards I called the mountain looking for someone to speak with. Girl on the phone said that all management had left for the day. I detailed what my issue was and she stated she was one of the two people at the window when I was there earlier. She reiterated what the guy at customer service had said earlier in the day. I advised I still can't find the information on the website and just curious where that would be found. I mentioned that most mountains restrict ticket sales to provide a good experience and she basically told me that they're there to make money and try to sell as many tickets as they can because they're a popular mountain. This was also confirmed when I asked a lift operator if it's always like this and he said "they really pack them in here during these school breaks". The lack of concern for the poor experience led me to say that my 7 year old had a real $htty time today and that was the first time I heard an apology but it came with attitude when she said "Well, I'm sorry you had such a CRAPPY time." You would swear from the attitude these people think they're working for Vail resorts. This is a destination of convenience only not a real destination. Not the usual experience you receive from the Adirondacks. Will not be going back.

Great old school ski area that is in the Capital Districts backyard. The ski school has taught countless people how to ski over the many years. Our skiing days are over but you can still enjoy the outdoors at Maple with their Nordic Nights, very cool to snowshoe the various trails while under the lights

Who knew there was a ski mountain so close to lake George? Now I do. This was a terrific family ski area. To be honest we only ended up going here because we snoozed and Gore mountain tix sold out president day weekend. But we didn’t feel bad. This place was great for my 4 year old! Who struggled down the bunny slope. But loved the tubing. I recommend reserving everything as far in advance as possible. I only found out there was another lodger/side of the mountain after I left.
First year at Maple Ski Ridge for youth lessons. The 6 week program @ 90 minutes per class was excellent. The instructor, Elise, seems like a natural with kids. Great oversight by a man who appeared to be in charge throughout the lessons. I went yesterday with my son to reinforce what he learned, and he is doing so well. Thank you. Also, much better than West Mountain’s ski lessons. Hate to compare the two, but it was like night and day between them.

This place is amazing views and great skiing.
Kid friendly
Had the most fun tubing here! The slope is just a straight shot down, and goes super fast. We went on a Sunday so we got plenty of play time, and the lines were not long to go up and down multiple times.

Super fun resort, only 30 mins from SLC. Altitude is definitely bearable compared to Breckenridge, also the town is so cool!
Only downside is weird alcohol laws for those who like their drinks.

Best place in park city for learners! 3 hour lesson and lift ticket is cheaper than a lift ticket for park city! Strongly recommend if you're coming to town to ski for the first time. Shout-out Eli the instructor!
Maple Ski Ridge is a fantastic destination for families with young children. My kids absolutely love this place! The mountain is perfectly suited for smaller kids, making it less intimidating compared to others in the upstate area.

The staff is friendly and helpful, ensuring that everyone has a great time on the slopes. The family-friendly atmosphere makes Maple Ski Ridge a top choice for a fun day out.

I would highly recommend Maple Ski Ridge to anyone looking for a welcoming and enjoyable skiing experience for the whole family.
If it weren’t for this gondola & parking I wouldn’t have a pass to DV. Living in Heber- w the drive & accessibly of the 🚠, it doesn’t get much better.
White glove service. They take your skis and load them onto the gondola and take them off at the top.

Great resort. This is basically 3 resorts in one. 3 distinct sections with 2 "entrances" the Iron Mountain - the middle section is underappreciated by most. If you want to escape the crowds - head there.

Good Place for your Sking, Snowboarding and Tubing fun. You can pre book your tickets to avoid wasting time in ticketing que. Had to spend more time to find car parking space as it would be house full all the time.

Way too expensive for such a tiny mountain. Over $150 for 2 people for rentals and a 4 hour pass. But it takes 45 minutes to get your rental so it’s more like a 3 hour pass. They really need to improve their rental process. They were letting people they know cut in line. Also, for some reason, every employee is really rude and very intolerant of beginners.
Maybe worst of all, the parking lot is just a field full of 6in deep mud. Don’t even try to come without an AWD vehicle and definitely don’t wear expensive shoes. With the prices they charge, a parking lot like that is ridiculous. How cheap can you be? With our ruined shoes and a car wash, it ended up costing us several hundred dollars to go on 4 runs down the world’s smallest mountain.
It’s obvious the owners here don’t care about improving any of their facilities. There’s even a warning sign to be gentle with the toilets because they’re old.
Also, all the trails are too steep for beginners. The only green circle is the bunny hill with the worst rope tow I’ve ever seen. This mountain might be small but it’s not the place for beginners. I’m not really sure who it’s the place for.
You’re way better off spending your money at jiminy peak or west mountain.
This used to be the hidden secret of Deer Valley. It's a great parking spot without dealing with Park City traffic. Unfortunately, it's no longer a secret. They have a shuttle if you don't get there early enough to park close. I won't park anywhere else for Deer Valley. That being said, the actual ski run for Jordanelle is not great 😒. That's the only reason I won't give it 5 stars.
Totally unnecessary lift for the privileged. Destroyed a mountain for poor snow conditions and ok skiing at best during the best years. Rest of the year it looks like a scar on the hillside.
our first time at Woodward Park city. Mostly snowboarding. Some skiers. Lots of people having fun. And lots to do inside. Trampolines. Skate parks. Bikes that can jump into foam pits. Crazy.

Had 2 hours private class with Hanna to practice different turns! She is so knowledgeable and so encouraging!
Staff members are very kind, from checking in to rental shop and the supervisor is too :)

I am very new to the tow bar ! It’s a challenging !!!!
The two seater lift was very scooping ! Had to get to the seat quickly or you get pushed off lol

The lodging area is small and cozy ! My friend got a burger said it was delicious ! We arrived when it just opened during weekday at 3pm. It gets busier after the dark.

A cute local hill to learn and practice ski for sure.
Thanks Hanna and everyone in Maple Ridge Ski !

West was a fun mountain. Due to the rough start of the year terrain was limited. When fully open this place looks awesome for an affordable price. Great INDY Pass stop too.

Awesome! The food and resort was amazing! It had many choices of food, and places to go! The skiing was great; it had ski runs for all levels. It is a little pricey but it was worth it!

For December/early January skiing, it is important to find out if the runs that allow you to ski down to the Town Lift are open. Else, you will need to take the Town Lift down at the end of your ski day. They load every other chair going down and it is very slow with long lines at the end of the day.

Had I know that this would be a factor, I’d have stayed someplace else. Staying next to the Town Lift is highly valuable but not if the Town Lift runs are closed.

Took the city bus from the end of one of the other resorts one day. Disappointing. Not what we paid for.

I am disappointed. For management and west mountain they don't deserve any ⭐. For instructor I will give them two stars.
I have to spend $100 for one person only to get gear and entry for bunny hill. Most disappointing part is in the counter they told me that I have to buy lesson to enter bunny hill and I paid $47. And when my son went to the instructor they checked with office and told no. That amount is for entry only. My 6YO went up the carpet and started crying as no one was there to assist( I was told about lesson) . The situation could be worse until some kind instructor went up and got him down. They were very nice people and also gave tips to my kids as they did it for the first time.

This was our 1st trip to PC and since we aren’t big skiers, we were looking for alternative things to do while here. We went snowtubing for 2 hours and did the indoor adventure zone for 2 hours also. It was a great day! It is on the pricey side- but I think totally worth it. We did have to wait a few times at the top to slide down- but in 2 hours we definitely got to go as many times as we wanted to. Our boys had a fantastic time at the indoor park as well. The staff even organized a huge dodgeball tournament at one point. The food selection was also really good. I had an amazing salmon quinoa bowl and my husband had a burrito- both were excellent quality. We would definitely come back here again.
Took 3 kids here for tubing. Had an excellent experience and really want to say how pleasant the staff are. It was our first time snow tubing and my 9 year old was pretty anxious; Sam was on the conveyor belt and he was awesome. He calmly explained the process to my son, stopped the belt, made sure everyone else waited, and cheered him on for the rest of the time. 10/10 recommend !

Woodward Park City, a snowy slice of heaven, where I took my dynamic duo, ages 14 and 5, for their first ever mountain and snowboarding escapade. We booked half-day group lessons for a Thursday, but like any eager beaver, we previewed the scene the day before.

Quick tip: the website says it opens at 9, but that's also lesson time. I discovered the rental shop opens its doors at 8:15, just in the nick of time. The staff? Absolutely top-notch, treating us like VIPs from the get-go.

We couldn't resist the tubing on Wednesday afternoon. The little one, on a micro pass, conquered the smaller slope and, after a few tries, was all in for the most daring spins. Despite the indoor micro area's size, it still managed to capture her attention and joy.

Lesson day arrived, and we were ready and raring at 8:25. The fitting was smooth sailing, thanks to the helpful team.

My youngest, paired with the legendary Coach Hans, had the time of her life, embracing every moment on the bunny slopes. The elder one had an equally fantastic time, with tailored attention in her group setting.

Let's be real- it's a pretty penny for visitors, but the memories crafted are absolutely priceless. Hats off to Woodward Park City for delivering an unforgettable experience. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

The ski rental process was great. Staff was patient and knowledgeable. The equipment was pretty new, boots were clean. Snow was well groomed. Tubing was too expensive considering the lines were held up, because the conveyor kept stopping. Tubing for 4 people was 270.00 4 two hours. I will probably go back for skiing, but not tubing.
Beautiful breathtaking resort. We had gone early December, so more than a few runs and lifts were closed because of how early it was. But there were plenty of blues and greens to keep us busy and challenged for our level.

Bus system was straightforward from the main mountain to the canyon side, but was fairly confusing to get back and accidentally went the wrong way. If all the lifts were open though you could get there via lift.

Not crowded. No waits. Well maintained slopes. Overall, really great

This snowboarding facility impresses with its high-quality slopes, providing an enjoyable experience for enthusiasts. The staff offers excellent service, ensuring a smooth and safe environment for riders. The pricing is reasonable, offering good value for the quality of the snowboarding experience provided. A recommended choice for those seeking a well-maintained facility with a blend of great service and affordability.
Great customer service. I got locked out of my account, and they got me back in immediately. The slopes are great and there are a lot of tracks. I've had a season pass here before and I'm happy with the variety of park, tree, and regular runs. This resort is huge.

Winter. 23/24 updated

First of the ski season and we are looking forward to seeing 👀 what the ❄️ will bring!!
I posted the early season prices.

Absolutely 💯 amazing.
I'm coming up to the largest ski area in the United States. The lifts are top notch and the crowds are mitigated by the express online order and outside expedited fulfillment.
On the high valley transit system, you can visit the rest of the best ski resorts in America.

Family friendly, plenty of facilities that use zero waste toilet 🚻s.
I recommend you go see for yourself.
I'm sure you're done with any other resorts.

Summer is not a down time for the resort either. Just went with my girlfriend to the adventure park.
Longest Alpine Slide in the country with a mountain coaster as well!!!!
Brutal singles line, quads nearly empty and singles easily 15 minutes longer as they NEVER loaded four singles to make the waits at all even. Very little parking. If you don't get a spot it's a painful drive over to the other lots. I waited over a half hour for a ride up while the quads line was less than 15 minutes. Avoid. Update 2024 Had a better experience in the singles line on a crowded Saturday. Maybe new ops now or just my bad luck last time. Adding one star... still not enough parking and not enough upload capacity for the parking they do have.

As far as East Coast ski mountains go I can only give maybe 4 stars. But for the experience my family just had, with 4 yr old and 2 yr old first time skiers, this place was priceless. The staff is down right attentive, from tickets, to rentals, to lifts, to cafe, like they're a big family taking care of us.

Pros: lift/tow rope operators, not busy or crowded (on Sunday), hot coco and blue cheese burger,

Cons: tow rope is difficult to navigate with toddlers (was hoping for a conveyor belt), cafe could use a little work,
Parking very difficult and scarce. Get towed and you will spend $500. No place to seat in the building. No drinks or food available. Convenient from Heber. Good access to Dear Valley.
Omgosh! We had so much fun at this park. The mountain roller coaster was our favorite, but we really enjoyed the mountain slide as well! Our visit was during off season, as we were in town for a wedding, but there were no wait times for anything. Such a fun stop for anyone in town.
Someday, maybe, you will get as lucky as I did and park the closest you've gotten to a lift. Great view along the way and Deer Valley employees are the best around.

Pretty views on the way up, pretty steep on the way down
Very lovely and well maintained! The historic lift has an authentic silver mine cart and a short description to go along with it!
the view tho. nothing short of spectacular. like wow. sad because writing this review from bed with a broken collarbone trying to believe my season isn’t over. always take the gondola. it’s a experience
Staying here was an overall great experience. Darrell was easy to communicate with and flexible with our budget. As far as location goes, you couldn't ask for much better. The views of Park City are incredible anytime of day and it's still only a 5 minute drive into Main Street. There are multiple hiking trails right out your door. We even spotted a moose on an early morning hike. The rooms are spacious, kitchen is stocked well enough to cook for the family, and all appliances/utilities are in great working order. Only complaint we had is we wished there were more towels and extra sheets. Overall great experience and would recommend to friends and family.
Nice rental... some highs and lows.
We stayed in October, 2019.

THE AREA-
Most importantly, the view and location are fantastic. Close access by quick drive to all the fun on Main Street in Park City, the views from Guardsman Pass, and more trails than anyone can consume on one vacation. This particular house is very short walk away from the 23 mile long Mid-Mountain trail which weaves from the Deer Valley all the way down into the Park City Mountain system, as well as the shorter Deer Valley trail and challenging Boulder summit trail. Not enough could be said about how magnificent the area is for adventure, and Larkspur is right in they middle of it all.

THE HOUSE-
The house itself leaves a bit to be desired. It seems as though the owners aren’t paying much attention to replacement of old and worn down things around the house. Sorry to be very specific, but the owners can show their mettle by correcting these items for upcoming guests...
-The living room couches are very very poor. Most cushions are completely collapsed, very uncomfortable. Throw pillows haven’t been cleaned... maybe ever. It’s particularly sad with such a pretty gas fireplace that just begs to be enjoyed.
-The washer and dryer should have long since been upgraded. The washer did not get the clothes clean and drying clothes takes three to four cycles at times. Pretty frustrating to have to pay this much attention to washing/drying clothes on vacation. This problem is exasperated considerably when you find out that there are no extra towels in the house. Only the minimum for each sink and shower, so we had to wash towels almost daily to compensate.
-Dishwasher soap dispenser doesn’t close, so there is a good chance that all the soap rinses out before the cycle actually starts to clean the dishes.
- Some bathrooms don’t have locking doors (this was an interesting one, still scratching my head).

I did give 4 stars instead of 3. I think the house and deserves 3-1/2 stars at this point. All of these items could be remedied by the owners very simply and at reasonable expense... Time will tell what they are made of. For now, the owners don’t seem to be making the investments that they need to make to guarantee that this a 5 star location.

SIDE NOTE-
-It’s unfortunate and cannot be changed, but the kitchen is extremely small. Just a note for those of us who like to cook... if you plan on cooking this might not be the house for you.

it takes about 90 minutes to ride the town lift because they slow it down every time someone gets on or off. It is just brutal. Riding Town lift in the summer is S L O W!!!
Things go so smoothly on crown point. The sun hits just right and these hills sing. Quick access down to snow Park and to silver lake lodge. Are you looking for a great view? Look over your shoulder at tower 7 for a panoramic view of the jordanelle reservoir.

Stayed at a home in this community, great views. The house was spacious and included in there price was shuttle to park city town and PC resort and deer valley resorts, the ride down by road is magical at night, almost christmassy. And this was in March!
This home also is a block and a few steps away from the midmountain slope on deer valley mountain...
