We had a great night stay with two days of skiing. The hotel was great, good food and the outdoor hot tub was a good end to the evening.

Amazing. Tons of improvements since I was a kid. This is the perfect mountain to learn how to ski and snowboard. Once you're past learning it's a bit small. But still a great place. Very nice cafeteria, rental set up is great, and food and bar were perfect. The instructor that worked with my daughter was amazing. He catered to her abilities and helped her improve where needed. She was on the chair lift two runs after her first lesson, on her first day.

Can't wait to go back! I'm not a skier, but I would try here! Went tubing, had a great time! Great for a date day, family day, any day! Large or small groups, Safe, fun, organized, and you can't help but smile. Tubing lanes are separated, so this avoids injuries. Open rain or shine, so get there. Definitely do this 🙌🫶🙌

Everytime we go to Bousquet it feels like coming home. There is such a good vibe from start to finish and everywhere you look. My kids started skiing here at 5 years old. The ski house is beautiful and new, the gear is also new and the staff everywhere you turn is excellent. Even when there's no snow, their top of the line machines make it so you have enough. It is a small mountain and ideal for families and the food/overall environment is great.

We had an awesome ski and stay late November, can’t wait to get back this winter!

Small mountain but pretty fun for our first time out this season. The carpet lift and a chair were open and tickets were half price!!!

You can still enjoy the beautiful views in the summer. My kids love going up the lift every summer

For the price during off season, I expected more. It’s more of a budget hotel experience than a mountain resort. The location being at the base of the mountain is the only real draw. Rooms are outdated and the outlet next to our bed didn’t work. If the area had any other better option I would take it.

Great experience! Great views from the gondolas, fun ride and then great view from the top, of course on a clear day! At the top you can walk around peacefully, take in the views and fresh air, visit the restaurant (only with reservations), buy some waffles and buy a souvenir at the little shop. Only thing I didn’t like is that the glass on the gondola is extremely scratched up and prevents you from fully enjoying the view.

Now, that was fun!
Gondolas have largely been fun during skiing seasons, transporting the eager skiers up the mountain, but the one in Stowe is excellent even during the Fall months. The vivid fall foliage during the peak Fall season is truly artistic and there are very few words to describe the experience of being in one with the nature at the moment. Those who are keen on catching the Fall at the peak-most time should visit and experience this Gondola, for it justifies your entire pursuit of the yellow-red in one single ride to the top. Do remember that it gets chilly (really chilly) at the top, and those who wing it with just a tee and shorts, might just need special help to return to base. Those wearing thicker jackets and warmer pants should do just fine. Pro-tip: try some hot waffles at the store on the mountain. The pure Vermont maple syrup makes it even better!

Went on the very last day of the season for scenic gondola rides. Unfortunately the view from the top was non existent due to cloud cover and weather. The temperature was very cold and windy at the top. We were able to bring our pup which is an added bonus. At the top of the skyride...there are waffles for sale, a gift shop, a restaurant and a warming hut. There are bathrooms at the top too. The lines move very quickly to go up and down. When we retuned to the bottom we took the free gondola into the ski resort and did some more shopping. It was a fun afternoon and our fur baby fell asleep on the returning ride. Expensive tickets...approximately $79 for 2 adults round trip...wish we got to see more from the top but cant predict the weather!

Yes, it is worth the trip up to the top of Mount Mansfield at Stowe Mountain Resort. You need to take this gondola to access the Cliff House Restaurant (reservations required). Our individual gondola cars were not very clean and we didn’t know until afterward that we could have put down the windows and had put the camera outside and had a clearer view for pictures - duh!

Can't wait for it to start snowing I will be coming back to take pictures even without snow still looks amazing 💯📷

A bit pricey at $37 each. The ride up and down totalled 22 minutes. Views from the top were beautiful. Try to go on a clear day. Don't use the Porta potties at the bottom. They're disgusting. There are clean bathrooms at the top.

We came for the Harvest Fest. Plenty of vendors with lovely items available for purchase. View from the top was great.

A beautiful way to enjoy the fall foliage! Gondolas are spacious but the clear windows are not as clear as what you want it to be to enjoy the view while going up or down. It costs $37 each adult (13+) and $25(5-12). The cost is worth it for the view. There is a restaurant on the top but gets full and if you ever try to walk-in all i could say if you are able to get a spot without reserving is that either you are lucky or you are a person with power or influence. Lol. Parking space is ample. Strollers could be brought up and ride in the gondolas

Lovely gondola ride! I rode to the top to enjoy the fall foliage and the scenic views! The ride did not disappoint! The gondola windows are fairly scratched up. I presume that's from the winter ski season when people have skis and such in there. All of the employees were friendly and kind. They're happy to help you find your way around and make sure you have a fun time! Once you arrive to the top, you can souvenir shop and eat at the restaurant or the waffle place. You can walk around and enjoy more scenery. You can sit and take in the view too. It was crowded midday on Friday, September 29, 2023. Lots of leaf peepers!

Best kept secret in the area! Looking for great food, tasty drinks, and and amazing view? Look no further. How is this place not packed every night? The restaurant should have its own google page, I don't think everyone realizes that the restaurant is there- the food and location are both amazing! Tried the penne primavera and the burger- both were great, even the fries were impeccable. Also tried their Dark and Strawberry cocktail- phenomenal. Go now before everyone realizes it's open and amazing during the summer!

The view at top of Vermont’s highest mountain, Mt. Mansfield, is a view not to miss! There are plenty of gondolas so you don’t even need to purchase tickets in advance though it’s recommended. The kids were given a list of items to hunt for once on top of the mountain and in return they were entered into a prize drawing. That made it fun for them! Many people were also hiking up the mountain.
Where you definitely should make reservations in advance is the restaurant at top of the mountain, Cliff Restaurant, as their hours of operation are limited. Their pricing is reasonable and their food okay. What I thought was awkward was if you sit outside then you have to go back inside and order your food. Waiters are there to bring you the food and pick up your plates. The place is small, but the view is grand!

The best resort that I've been to on the East Coast. It has the best mountain biking I've ever experienced and I cannot wait to get back when the snow comes! It is a Disneyland for active adults, what an incredible place!

Love the outdoor hot tub. No chlorine. It's saltwater, so your "human soup" is preseasoned. ;-)

We arrived last Sunday, August 6th, 2023 and checked it to Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel. Upon entering the room we noticed that to get to the bedroom you had to climb a narrow, wooden, spiral staircase. We called the front desk and told them that was a problem for us, that at our age we didnt feel safe to climb up to the bedroom. We were told there was another unit with no stair’s available but they could not change room because we were there using a RCI exchange (we traded our beautiful mountain timeshare in the Smoky Mountains to stay at Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel). We now know that was a huge mistake. My wife slept downstairs on the full size murphy bed and i climbed the stairs and slept in the bedroom. Many of the activities we were interested in were closed while we were there except for golf. We ate breakfast on Monday at 57North restaurant in the hotel ( I may have the name wrong). Food and service were good; however, the hostress was snarky and rude when she checked our names on the guest list and said to us, “ You do know that your breakfast is not free with your stay don’t you?!?” Of course we did but felt the comment was not friendly or necessary. When we made the reservation were were told there was a pool at the hotel. There is not. They have a pool down the road and charge guests $12 per person per day to use the pool. Late Monday evening it rained and continued to rain all night. At about 4:30 am the ceiling started leaking. Drip, drip, drip the rest of the night. Carpet was wet in the main living room and it was scheduled to rain all day. We felt the customer service was terrible. Very unhelpful. We felt we were treated like second class guests because we had used RCI to book this weeklong vacation. By Tuesday morning we had experienced enough and decided to check out. We did check-out and once again were told because we were Using RCI there was nothing they could do. At this point having been there less than 48 hours we were happy to get out of Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel. We booked accommodations elsewhere and now are enjoying our Maine vacation.

Owner’s daughter was very rude for no reason and made everyone go home for 2 people not wearing shoes even though there was no sign up. I had just driven 40 minutes to come play volleyball and when i got there i already had to go home. Unbelievable.

One of the workers was very rude and kicked us out after having to drive a long distance to get there all because two people walked in with no shoes even though there was absolutely no sign or warning. Her excuse was that it was common sense. It was so unprofessional and me and everyone else there were angered.

I had such an awesome weekend. Went on a zip line, which ended up being 6 zip lines and then took the cha lift to the top of the mountain. The view was incredible enough, so I plan ongoing back in the fall.

We visited in late July and rode the chair lift up Bear Mtn. Got a nice lesson in history of the area from a staff person and hiked around the Alpine loop. We then hiked down to the Base via Twister Cliffs and Trillium Trails. Great views and beautiful forest. We also saw deer, turkeys and various songbirds. We took our time and spent a little over 4 hours total there. A very enjoyable day.

Great ski resort. I started coming to Bousquet about 6 or 7 years ago. More recently, they completely renovated the lodge and the new building is a HUGE upgrade. They take good care of it and it creates a nice atmosphere here. The mountain itself is smaller compared to other ski areas in New England, but this is still a great place for a more relaxed skiing/boarding experience. The runs are fun and have a few challenging spots. Unfortunately you end up doing the same runs over and over due to the limited number of trails, especially when there hasn't been much snowfall and some trails are closed off. But Bousquet is still a nice place if you just want to relax and cruise down the trails for a while. Prices are pretty reasonable for a ski resort actually. Weekdays are cheapest and go for around $50 or so for 4 hours, or I think just a few dollars more for 8 hours, so it's usually worth getting an 8 hour pass. Altogether this is a nice place - nothing groundbreaking, but you'll enjoy your visit.

The hotel is kept up very well. Restaurant on site was wonderful, I had a nice glass of Italian red at dinner, wished I wrote down what it was! Heat and A/C worked great, very comfortable cool nights and warm days. Good bed and bedding. Beware, a resort fee and housecleaning gratuity automatically added to bill.
EV'ers, there are just 2 level two EV chargers in the parking lot. When this place is busy, better have a plan B for charging. I didn't notice any other chargers on the Mountain.

My home mountain, and I've had a season pass for years. So I can pick and choose when to visit. The good thing is, the trails are long enough, you can wear out your children. The day we took them up to the High Peaks for the first time was spectacular, and they loved it. The downside, high traffic industrial skiing on weekends, not helped when sections of the mountain are closed, can be pretty dreadful. Studying conditions on the website before your visit helps. Often though you don't know what you're getting until you get there. So, as with everything, caveat emptor.

On the basis of spring skiing, Killington beats out everyone in the northeast. Despite the super high temperatures the week I visited, the snow has stuck around in pretty solid condition, with tons of trails and lifts open. I can only imagine a day in the winter at Killington is simply awesome.
The new K-1 Lodge is the best base lodge I have seen at a ski resort. It is stunning.
The downsides of Killington? The food prices are the most absurd of any ski resort I’ve seen. $20 for tenders and fries is more than overkill. But I can’t bring myself to dock a star for it.
The town of Killington is… bland. Lacking character and charm. Killington Resort would be smart to invest in a village surrounding the base area, because they could seriously put the rest of the town to shame. Since Killington Resort isn’t responsible for the town, I can’t dock a star there either.

Favorite place on the northeast! Great variety of terrain, enormous amount of skiable area and the best area night life for the ski season in new england. You could easily spend the day skiing the mountain without hitting the same trail. View from the catwalk peak is unbelievable on a blue bird day. Amazing to see in the summer as well. Night life and transportation is more limited in the summer so be prepared for that if visiting. The bars and restaurants do have complimentary transportation though if staying within a certain distance from the main road.

This is our second year in a row here as a family and it has treated us really well bot times. friendly staff, great skiing, no lift lines, high speed lifts and stunning views. The food in the lodges is decent and over priced which is expected. It cost $95 for 3 people for lunch which is a bit extreme even for a ski lodge. But over all it's a fantastic resort and we will be back !

I have been to Killington numerous times over the years; from being a competitor at the J2 Championship in the early 1990s to PSIA exams and events as recently as last weekend; and it always delivers.
This past Sunday was the perfect example; rain and heat on Saturday, that locked up overnight into Sunday; and their mountain Ops teams were able to work miracles for a great surface on Sunday. They had the guests' best interests in mind roping off some sections where a fall would have resulted in an uncontrolled slide.
The food & beverage is expensive, but of high quality for a ski area. I can attest to the salad bar & beef chili being fit for human consumption.
This most recent trip was my first staying at the Grand, for on-site lodging; and it was worth the extra money for the convenience of not having to drive. But I am older than I once was, and if your looking for the full night life experience, and your skiing on your own timeline, then you won't be missing much if you shop for a lower cost room down the street. But, if you've got a group of kids, or are there for an event, pony up the extra cash for the convenience, and save yourself the headache of having to do the parking lot rodeo with kids in tow.
There is ample terrain to test the best skiers out there and lots of room for learners to explore. I love it on the down days, but I don't want to be around that many people on a holiday or busy weekend.

Had terrific spring day skiing (3/30/23). Always go here on weekday to avoid crowds and this turned out to be sunny, high 20s day. Warm sun softened icy groomed trails as day went on and most were wide open with few skiers across their multiple lifts and gondola. Great views of High Peaks region too. My favorite place in New York to ski with wide variety of trails. More Gore!

Absolutely loved this place. My first east coast ride and it absolutely dumped snow on our Saturday morning a few weeks back.
Drive up the mountain was super sketchy, especially in a rental. I was surprised it wasn't more cleared in anticipation of heavier traffic with the heavy powder. Oh well.
Overall I felt like I got a ton of use of the whole mountain. Fairly easy to navigate. I'm new and there was a second peek on the other side of the road I did not get to. Though we did make it over to Pico. (Pie co.)
Every one complains about the ice coast, but we had at least a foot of powder on average and some powder dumps on trails were closer to 2ft, it was amazing!
They were cautious opening due to wind. But kept the lines moving nicely.
Rental experience was mediocre. But half of that is because my wife didn't want to go back for a different boot, so the issue might have been resolved. They insisted it needed to be snug, I'm aware... but I think it was probably a half size too small from that.
I'm suggesting she buy her own to avoid this. Maybe apply the rental fee to a discount on new boots if you buy from your shop?
Either way, highly recommend. The people in town were super nice, all around one of my better vacations.

Gore is a great mountain, really fun to explore! I highly recommend the backwoods trail accessible from the burnt ridge quad. A little out of the way of the rest of the mountain.
There can be a lot of traversing involved and as a skier, I'm fine with it. However, my snowboarder son had to learn where to bomb to maintain speed. Over the years, I've had to tow him a bit!
Food is pretty good for a ski mountain. I like the lodge: big, old, but not run down.

Top 5 mountains to ski/snowboard on the East Coast. Terrain is extremely wide with 5 different peaks offering up 155 trails with 22 lifts to access. Downhill, groomers, tree runs, terrain parks....Killington has it all! The Woodward terrain parks are all designed and maintained by an awesome staff. Peace Park is one of the coolest layouts I've had the pleasure of riding.

Always clean and staff are friendly. They always stock enough cups for water when I take a break from boarding

Been coming here for many years, as a kid and adult. Taught my kids to ski here. Reunited with good friends here too. Reasonable lift tickets. Fantastic ski slopes and glades. Cold beer at the saddle lodge. I'm thankful for the opportunity to be able to come here year after year. Lift attendants are all super cool too!!

My son and I had a blast tubing at Ski Ward! The staff was very helpful, and the waiting times were a piece of cake, even for a weekend. Will be coming back for more family fun!

Great place to eat on the mtn. not crowded.

Gore has lots of different trails to cover, and each run feels like it’s own unique and dreamy experience. I enjoyed their more challenging trails, and my travel buddy took a lesson which really set her up for success as a novice skier. She has had decent lessons before, but this one was far superior. The instructor had her on blues by the end of it, and most importantly, she walked away with great skills to build on and very positive feelings about skiing.
I skied both Saturday and Sunday on MLK weekend and could have spent several more days experiencing all of their trails. There are amazing views from up on the mountain, and especially from the High Peaks Lift. The trails also all have really neat and classic names, labeled with thoughtfully designed signs reflective of their titles. I appreciate those details.
Even though there was a college athlete competition going on, as a single rider, I did not wait in any lines. Plus the competition was cool to see.
We also took Nordic (cross-country) ski lessons, which we had never done before, at the Ski Bowl Lodge area. This lesson was also fantastic, and the instructor really showed us the ropes. We walked away feeling like we had it down, and now want to get some Nordic skis of our own. The lesson was well worth it, and highly recommended.
Gore is all-around charming and fun. The surrounding area is everything a little ski town should be, with great restaurants to hit after a full day on the mountain. I can’t wait to come back!

Been skiing here for 40+ years. It's a great mountain. But I would avoid this place on a Saturday. Expect a 45-minute wait to get up the access road. They cannot handle crowds. And the parking is terrible. Until they revamp "getting to the mountain," I won't be going to the mountain on a weekend. It's too bad. Hey Gore -- you need to be better.

Wow what a treasure. Staff are polite and courteous. The lodge area is quaint, the food it's in some necessary ways. My family and I really enjoyed it all, it's unique to other places as it feels like it prioritizes families. Which makes being there feel like home.

An excellent resort for both beginners and professionals. Lots of trails of different levels, easy access to the gondola, which was very spacious and comfortable for climbing to the very peak of the mountain (according to experience, not all resorts have such gondolas). As for the food, it's mostly fast food that is not so cheap, which is not expected.

Great jumps

Went just to watch the local ski facility. I AM NOT a skier nor an enthusiast but went just to get a feel. They were creating snow and preparing the slopes and runs. Also saw that the children skiing there had adequate supervision.
Interesting.
Interesting.

All positive. I was a little concerned after hearing a few people state Oh Bosquet! Let me tell you the new 2 year old ski lodge is wonderful. The skiing lessons were for 3 people and one instructor. The result was a family aging 59, 23 and 6 receiving 3 instructors for 3 days at NO extra cost. They really wanted to to have a great time and went well beyond to ensure it happened. In fact beside this really quiet resort I mean we were the first people on the slopes when it opens at noon and over 3 days the most people we saw in total was probably 50. Highly recommended if you want a family skiing vacation. *****

My family's favorite lunch spot, on the mountain. Always great food and friendly people.

Stayed here with others for a work trip. Service was very sufficient and helpful to my entire crew. The ski instructor Andrea really made me feel confident on the mountain after just 45 minutes!! So fun, and the hot tub outside was so pleasant. Not to go without mentioning, but the steam room and sauna was also so cleansing and relaxing. Definitely loved the rooms, which included all the essential amenities. 11/10 would recommend staying and taking a lesson for skiing if you don't already know how to ski. Rentals are easy to get to and get provided, staff was so helpful and kind!

Great place to begin skiing and snowboarding without the intimidation of a mountain. There is a tow rope that you grab onto to bring you back up. There is sledding across the street and an adventure zone playground next to the parking lot.

The best place to learn to ski!! My kids and I did lessons and we all loved it! It packs a lot of fun for a local gem! (We have done lessons at two other ski resorts and Skiward was by far the best!!). The lessons are longer than all the competitors, 1.5 hours for little stars and 2 hours for future stars!!! Plus they give you free ski after the lessons and your seasonal rentals are set out and waiting for you! No waiting in line or wasting precious time. Wonderful instructors who put in tons of effort.
Skiward get tons of calls/email so email is the best way to reach them, especially when your signing up.....be patient, they always get back to you it just takes a little time. It's well worth the wait!!!!
Shout out to all the wonderful instructors this season; Natalia, Tim, Shannon, Rylie, Colin, Nancy! You made our season awesome!!!!!!
Women's Clinic was awesome!!

Good ski area for kids and beginners. There is also tubing. They offer private and group classes. There is both indoor and outdoor seating as well as food area. The area for beginners is perfect for novice skier and small kids. The staff could have better customer skills, though. The prices are affordable. Ideal for a low key, family ski outing

11 km of perfect classic only skiing through a serene north shore forest.

Awesome single track classic ski trai- very well maintained with a super backwoods vibe. Scenic and fun!

He had a great experience snow tubing. I was able to reserve tickets in advance online for a group of 4 during the weekday. They were very organized. We were able to tube a total of 5-6 times during the 1.5 we left early because it was getting really cold. Will visit again.

Classic beautiful single track through the woods.

Only reason to go right now is that no one else is in there so you don't have to make a reservation. ZERO food unless you count the chili that's all over the mountain and some prewrapped brownies. Can't wait for the Covid rule bs to be over. There's no reason for these mountain restaurants to sink this low.

Wonderful single track trails winding through forest. Beautiful conditions and well maintained.

Well groomed nordic ski trails. There are a series of classic loops (2,4, 5, 7, and 11 k). Great for beginners and advanced ski talents.
There is an area groomed for skate skiing, but I have never used it.
Great warming cabin, but it is currently closed to COVID-19.
There is no indoor bathroom facilities, but there is a porta-John .
There is no fee, but a donation box, so bring a few dollars to contribute.

Good out of the way location to meet up with your fellow skiers. Food selection similar to Red Pine Lodge. Still gets crowded between 12pm and 1pm.

Location and views are spectacular, food upstairs at silver star cafe. Spectacular

Attended the Two Harbors High School Nordic Ski Meet at the Korkki Nordic ski trails. I was very impressed that such a small ski club could put on a large meet and run it so smoothly. The single track ski trails meandering through dense woods were well groomed. There was plenty of help with timing and parking. Thanks to Korkki Nordic for a great day!

The trails were well groomed. Nice wooded area to ski in

Great Location on hill and less crowded than other on hill stops. Food is better as it's prepared when you order. Full bar of that's your thing.

One of the most fun ski trails in the Midwest. Singletrack type trails with good challenges in uphills and downhills. Please donate to support trail grooming.

Another great place to stop on the mountain, take a load off, and recharge before going out to hit it again. A great location that gets great sun. The one drawback is that the restrooms are downstairs.

Food choice is somewhat limited if you don't eat Mexican food, but they have chicken tenders as well as soft pretzels, otherwise nice.

We're all rented up and ready to go. Now we need some more snow this winter!

We rented this place last skiing season but decided to try a late summer trip. The rent was a little lower than in the winter but it's such a wonderful location. Fantastic amenities and the free shuttle to town was awesome!
