Went to Yohanna (who was amazing). I always hate going to get waxed but she made the process easy and painless! Truly was a great experience and when I go back, will definitely be going back to Yohanna - she was skilled, kind, and attentive! Could not recommend her more!!

Gym itself has a lot of great equipment but the staff here are predatory in their sales pitch, rude and condescending. I was laughed at for stating that my fitness goals did not align with the predatory and unrealistic goals of the trainer (an attempt to get me to sign on for very pricy personal training). If you can avoid the sales pitch, maybe this gym is ok. They also charge a sneaky and arbitrary cancellation fee.
A great place to work out. State of art equipment and they always keep everything clean. They even have tanning beds! Their tanning beds are actually good for your skin, something I'd never heard of before but their great. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and their prices are fair. If your looking for a new gym give planet fitness a try.
My favorite gym, bar none. Lots of locations, massage chairs and beds, awesome hours. Friendly staff. Can get crowded at certain times but hey when you are this good, everyone wants a piece of it
They had a deal for 99 dollars for a year. So I decided to give Planet a try and I am very pleased with the facility. It is 24 hours and always clean.
It's great. I'm super comfortable every time I come work out. Don't get me wrong like anywhere literally anywhere. There's some weirdos here and there harmless for the most part so it's nice. I feel comfortable going anytime of day, evening or night. Very convenient to pop in to any location and get my sweat on
First update. Thank you, planet fitness owner. Plus one star ⭐ for a quick response. You asked if I shared with the facility manager. I asked the attendant how I could share my comments with management. She told me that she had put it ticket in for the lack of CNN channel and lack of volume on the other CNN channel. The answer is no, I do not know how to share a comment with management. I will be happy to and of course I will update my review at that time.

Today's experience was less then stellar. I usually leave five stars for everything I rate. Please see my notes There was no CNN on the main bank of TVs. The volume did not work on the secondary bank of TVs. Minus 1 star. This is important to me. I got little, very little help from the staff. She wouldn't even agree to report the TV problem. Her point was that Somebody else comes to set up the TVs. After she didn't answer my question as to whether she would report it, I asked directly. Will you report it or not? She agreed to report it. Minus 0 points anyone can have a bad day or a bad attitude so what! It was very difficult to sign up for the hydro massage. I had to scan my card five times, she asked me to keep it out cuz I had to scan it again. She asked multiple times if I had a black card, clearly I did since I was able to sign in. 😞 , I usually get great service. Today, not so much. Maybe next time. Minus one point on the difficulty hitting a hydro massage. That is also important to me.

Jennifer is amazing! I’ve seen her for a few years now and she always takes the best care of my skin. She’s kind, thorough, uses top quality products, and does an impeccable job every time. I even saw her for my pre-wedding facial—my skin was glowing! I can’t wait to return. Thanks again, Jennifer!
Planet fitness is a great place to start exercising. The machines are organized for each muscle group, and I love they always keep the machines updated and the space clean.
Every morning I walk into the gym, I get greeted by the most friendly smile and laugh from Sam behind the desk.

Had my first visit at the EWC Southport location and it was great. My ethstie, Angel, was really nice and made me feel comfortable throughout. Aimee at the front desk was also nice and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back.

I moved neighborhoods and this became my new closest xsport. This one did not offer the same priced membership as my old one. I was gouged into a premium membership from $10 a month to $500 for two years ($21 a month). But whatever. The equipment is fine and the that's all that really matters. Friendly folks , Issac can keep it in his pants and their are some weirdos but that's every gym. The worst part is the radio station that makes my little baby ears drip blood hyperbolicly. But they did play AJR today and I had to finish my set early.
I’ve been coming here for almost a year now and the only person I’ve ever gone to was Andrea. She is the most down the earth person. She makes you feel comfortable, she listens to you and she works fast and she REALLY good. I’m telling yall go to Andrea. She’s the best waxer there.
no one cleans off or wipes down their equipment at all. The amount of men I saw leaving a machine DRENCHED in sweat was absolutely disgusting. Especially when they were right next to a sign that says to wipe off the machines you use. I get that we aren’t super heavy with the pandemic but that’s so disgusting when someone just sweats and leaves.
Ran to write this review and that’s not something I typically prioritize. I had the pleasure of Patricia doing my facial at the spa and it was the best one I’ve ever had. She was phenomenal!! Highly recommend.
Gym is good in most regards except the whole place is smelly, and the locker rooms are especially gross. I would not use the showers, or steam rooms since it looks like that whole section is never cleaned. The smell alone is awful.

This specific gym charges a late fee after you already paid and canceled your members ship several months prior to today I have been out of town for the past 6months and could not deal with this as you HAVE TO COME IN TO CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP. ALSO THIS MANAGER WAS INCREDIBLY DISRESPECTFUL BLAMING ME. for not paying saying I have a credit card never had a credit card in my entire 33years of existence. Where the gym itself is nice it is not consumer friendly neither is the company planet fitness. Theu want to steal your money and entrap you to having a line of cash flow for themselves. I will get my money back.

Very nice gym. I think I visited here 2 years ago but its an upgrade from alot of PF. Its huge, has all new equipment. The large machine that has the adjustable platform and large core, stretching area. Will try to make my way to this gym more often. Staff was also friendly too

The steam room never works, and its walls, ceiling, and floor are covered with nasty, slimy stuff. Nobody ever cleans the steam room, and the tiles become dark from mold. I think that it's unsafe to be there. One of two lights there doesn't work.
The locker room smells like sewage. It's been like this for more than a year, and complaints don't do anything. All my emails are unanswered.
Also, the price has been increased twice already.

My brother and I have been going to Planet Fitness for a couple months. I have seen a significant change in how it operates and the cleanliness. Angel has been a great addition in that. She has been awesome! . Angel has been one of my favorites. She had a welcoming smile, greets us with enthusiasm and makes coming into the gym enjoyable. She’s a keeper!
I've had a membership here for about a year and I've enjoyed my time. They have a wide array of machines but not a much in free weights. The atmosphere is comfortable, pretty relaxed, and I like they are always open. Only suggestion I have is, repair equipment that has broken with a little more haste. The chest/delt fly machine was down for a couple months before it was finally repaired.

The cost is usually pretty good if you join during a promotion, locations are convenient and the space is big with most machines or free weight equipment that you’ll need. But my one star review is because it seems like everything is always broken: TV’s in cardio equipment are frequently non-functioning or impaired, showers and sinks don’t work or have poor water pressure, machines are worn down or out of commission for extended periods. The thing that really gets me though is that that the locker room is usually disgusting. The gym itself is dirty and sweat covered but that’s the case at most places. The locker rooms are always a cringy combination of wet, dusty, garbage in the floors and over flowing trash cans. The pool and hot tub have mold and the steam room drips water or sweat on you from the ceiling.

I’m giving 3 stars as a member primarily because the gym is not very clean relative to other gyms I’ve been a member of.
The equipment is fine but it’s a very small space for the membership levels.
Amenities are basically zero but the benefits of the gym is that it’s very neighborhood centric and is only $60/month.

I had facial- loved the massage portion and how attentive she was. I didn’t care for the constant leaving and washing up, banging the metal bowl at the sink, and sighing of the esthetician. You advertised 60 minutes, was done in 50. Definitely not coming back. Also, before you rush out of the room, put the legs down so the client can climb out of the chair. The devil is in the details…
Why can this Planet Fitness not allow members to cancel online or over the phone! I have gone in and canceled only to continue to be charged! I call to get it straightened out and am told I still have to go back in to cancel AGAIN! This place is so outdated! I am switching to Spokane Fitness.

This gym is perfect for my needs. I’m beginning a weight training journey and it has all the tools I need to get in my workout so I can meet my goals. I like that it is a gym that is focused on enabling individual workouts geared toward gym users vs offering classes. Patrons are friendly and I don’t feel intimidated as I explore weight training. Overall clean and modern equipment.
Super clean and super efficient! This was my first experience getting waxed and my specialist, Jessica, was super patient and explained every step of the process. She was honest about how much it would hurt and made sure I was comfortable the whole time! She also gave great recommendations for products to use afterwards! So excited to be back!!

I wanted to love it but with the ultimate facial having a price tag exceeding that of their full body massages of the same length and winding up with breakouts from the products on my face and chest, I just can’t. All the products felt nice while it was being done and the aesthetician was very nice so for that I give three stars. But there’s no way those products are worth the price. Within 24 hours I was developing new acne on my cheeks, chin, and forehead/hair line. Now, 2 days later I noticed bumps and clogged pores on my chest (above the bra line) where the products and oils were also massaged into.
Love this gym, the price is great for the amount of equipment and availability of 24/7 access. Much cleaner than our previous gym. My ONLY qualm is the lack of 45lb plates for the leg press and smith machines. If all machines are occupied the chance of one or more ppl not having enough weights becomes an issue.

Now that this gym has gone through some renovations and added some new equipment, I can say that I am satisfied more than ever!! Yesterday was my first time going back since the new additions and I LOVE THEM!! Makes me feel like I am working on a lot more and I feel comfortable with the new equipment! It was time to toss out the old stuff lol! All I ask is that there is regular maintenance on them so they are not out of order for so long.

I’ve been going to the downtown and valley locations for a few months now - I really love the intent behind these being gyms for every body. So far I have had minimal interaction with staff but they all seem nice. Check in is easy with the app, bathrooms and lockers have been clean and there’s always enough equipment for a good workout. I’m giving it four stars because I’d love more space for using free weights. There’s one corner with mirrors on the wall and it gets crowded fast in the evenings.
Jeena is the best! I've seen her a few times now and have never had any issues like ingrown hairs. She is professional, efficient, produces great results, and bonus - she's fun to chat with!
Judgment free is a joke , from the loud alarm to the rude employees. I have a routine wake up shower gym then shower then work. When I was there, I had a hulking meat head next to me grunting 3 other members that did not understand personal space. A smell was emanating from this over crowded work out area. 20min into my work out I went to get water and was aproched by this sed smell. I was not even sweating, so how could anyone make this assumption. I felt insulted by such an assumption and left shortly afterward. If anything they should have automatic air freshnor. With this being said this place was great at first , it is not evolving to accommodate its membership load. And I am now seeking other places to go to

Gabi is absolutely fantastic! I see her regularly for waxing and she also gave me my FIRST FACIAL EVER…what an experience. Gabi is knowledgable, kind, and caring. She never rushes through your appointment and always goes above and beyond to make sure you leave feeling refreshed and pampered.

Gabi knows skincare, and as someone with frequent eczema flair ups, she has provided more detailed helpful information than most dermatologists I’ve worked with. Her space and vibe is very calming, but she’s great to chat with if you’d like that as well. I love the products and techniques she uses, the glow my skin has after a facial, and the new knowledge I often leave with after.
Gabi is fantastic! I have been a client for years. Sugaring, facials, eyebrows, she has taken care of me. Gabi is a bundle of knowledge and always make me feel completely comfortable. ❤️
This PF location is kind of small, but still a great fitness center for a quick workout session. Equipments and locker room are clean and well maintained. Usually not too busy.
Dirty and maybe a hygiene risk. Here’s a pic from just an hour ago of the drinking fountain. Yes, I am also calling the number on the sign. But this is so disgusting that it also merits public shaming with this post. Drinking fountains should be cleaned EVERY DAY. I’ll increase my review once if it gets rectified quickly.
Update: I posted originally one star based on the review above. It’s two months later, and I’ve changed it four stars. They immediately cleaned the fountain after my complaint posted and have kept it clean since. Seems like real progress. They seem responsive to customer feedback.

Amazing experience. I would highly recommend. Their attention to detail is very impressive. From the time you get to the front desk the staff take care of your every need. The service providers are very professional and enjoy what they do.
Diamond gave a fabulous massage! She was attentive to feedback and helped work out some tough spots. Good experience and will definitely try to book with her again.
Visited the spa at Trump during a work trip. As a massage therapist myself, it was time for some self care. I booked a 90 minute therapeutic massage along with 2 add ons. My therapist, Cynthia was great at the consult even though I felt as if my intake form was not read. Pressure was inconsistent, duration on each limb was different, hamstrings needed attention as I flew & because of the work trip. Was shocked the neck/shoulder area received 2 strokes & a stretch after mentioning those are some areas of concern. I did let front desk know that I’ve had better service. By the way, front desk associate was amazing along with the spa room attendant. I can at least say I visited.
I received a PERFECT Trump Massage from Caesar on my birthday during my stay at this hotel! I would DEFINITELY recommend the spa and all of their services to anyone! I would also HIGHLY encourage you to request Caesar for your session, because he's an exceptional masseuse!
Best massage I think I have ever had (Jana was my masseuse) and the space is beautiful, calm, and therapeutic! Jasmine had me sip tea and relax in the whisper room before my service and then Jana brought me bubbly after! The whole experience was lovely and I can highly recommend.
I had my first session with Belle this afternoon and she was lovely. Quick, efficient, and friendly, and it was the least painful wax I’ve had yet. I’m plus size so I’m always a little apprehensive initially but I felt at ease with her immediately. I’m not sure what the girl at the front desk’s name was but she was very nice too.
Reasonable package pricing if you are there for a special occasion, I would look into it. It was about 100 bucks for an hour massage.
Jennifer has been fabulous. My eyebrows get compliments daily. She is that good. Life changing actually. Transformed my whole face. Her facials also outstanding. she is the only person that has touch my my face for at at least five years. Micro needling is the best and I can say say I look 10 years younger, honest review and I appreciate her.

I have been a client of Lustre for a few years and my skin has never looked better. Jennifer is incredibly professional and kind- she really cares about her clients and never puts pressure to buy products. The studio is always very clean and I love the product lines. Jennifer does great work with eyebrows- I went from having none to very natural looking brows through the micro blading and powder process. I would highly recommend Lustre!!!

I’ve been a member at NW Blvd for over four years and the condition of the gym right now is worse than it ever has been. The door on the only private dressing room in the ladies locker room has been off its hinges for almost a year. There are machines down that have been down for months, and it’s becoming painfully obvious how little attention is being paid to maintenance. All that happens when you email in to discuss this is you get told to talk to the manager. I have talked to the manager who does not have a clear timeline on any repairs. Some of these repairs are as simple as replacing bolts. Two machines were missing pins and were down for over a month. Speaking to the manager doesn’t work, emailing concerns doesn’t work. How is a paying customer supposed to justify a gym membership at a gym that no longer maintenances equipment. So disappointed in the continued lack of response on this issue.
Ironically as you can see, the owner yet again requested pics emailed to [email protected] even though I posted them directly in the review. It’s as if the intention is to keep the customers pointing out the concerns about the condition of the gym in an endless loop of useless communication all while the maintenance of the equipment continues to be ignored. This is an absolute joke.

Southport Fitness has consistently impressed me! The place is always clean, compared to other gyms I’ve been to, staff is super helpful, and it has all the necessities for me to get a great workout in!!
I have no complaints about this gym’s cleanliness or accessibility but I do see need of improvement concerning the staff. Recently I went wanting help with change of membership & while the staff member “tried” to help me out, he didn’t problem solve whatsoever and ended up referring me to another gym.
Not to mention he had what appeared to be “clash of clans” on his phone the entire time & and would glance at me and then back to the screen frequently… I left feeling unheard & really disappointed. Hopefully his score was worth it.

This place does not include all the perks of the black card membership. They do not have any of these select drinks at 50% off it’s very sad. The crew here is great, but the owner is about false advertisement and not holding all of the standards. I will be switching gyms or switching memberships as I do not like supporting businesses with false advertisement. Please take this sign down thanks

My boyfriend and I got a therapeutic Couples massage on 12/14/22 and I 10/10 recommend! We were guests at the hotel and decided to treat ourselves to some self-care. The massage had a lounge with amenities where we were able to have tea and macaroons. There was serene music playing throughout the massage and it was very peaceful. My masseuse got all my knots out and helped me to relax.
Amazing experience. We took the couple massages and was the most relaxing I could ask for. Christina my masseuse was the best ❤️ The staff was really caring. After the massage we stayed at the sauna and the hot tub. Highly recommended
Great gym for beginners- very inexpensive! The price is the best part of Planet Fitness. Many many treadmills/cardio machines- but they are often used adequately enough to justify the amount. I DO wish that the free weights section was a bit larger- I find that many people are often crammed in this small area and it can be hard to find a spot. Have had good interactions with the staff. The gym, in general, always seems quite tidy! Only two minor issues I’ve found were that the shower doesn’t get warm and the water fountains filters almost ALWAYS need to be changed.
No one to greet us at the front lobby. Waited 9 minutes before I called and someone answered and came out from the back. Facilities were fine. Sauna and steam room were off and had to wait to heat up. My appointment was scheduled with a female and I ended up with a male massage therapist so I didn’t have to come another time. The massage was okay. Not great. Not terrible. When I got done I ask my husband if his massage therapist had put a wash cloth over his eyes when he rolled onto his back he said yes. Mine did not. I asked if she had brought his robe and laid it on the end of the massage table and put his slippers next to it like they typically do. He said yes. Mine did not. All those little things contributed to a disappointing overall experience. The staff comped us two glasses of champagne but the overall experience was certainly not what you’d expect. Especially for the cost.
After researching many gyms in the area, Southport and Wicker Park Fitness are easily the best gyms in Chicago for the price. Always clean with well-maintained equipment, and have everything you could every need at a gym with a great variety of cardio and resistance training equipment. The gym is also 24/7 access for members, which has been greatly beneficial for me. You simply will find no better place to train for your money than at these 2 locations. In addition, the personal training deals are also unbeatable compared to any gym in or out of the city. They offer 3 sessions of personal training for $99 which is a price that no other gyms in the city will even come close to. Would recommend this personal training service and the gyms in general to anyone!
Southport Fitness is a very convenient, clean and well maintained gym! It's right next to the Brown Line station so it's really convenient to get in and out. The staff are also friendly and helpful!
Just finished an 80 min couples massage experience. First, the facility is nice what you would expect from the JW. Jamie was my masseuse, she was excellent. The best I’ve experienced. Very aware of sore spots and just overall excellent. My wife’s masseuse was great as well!

There are so many better spa experiences in Chicago with friendly, honest, and non-discriminatory staff. Even if I was offered a FREE spa day here, I would not go back. Don’t put yourself through the horrible experience I had at the Wit.

I've been going to Gabi regularly for about a year now for eyebrow waxing, facials, & back facials. I love her and would highly recommend her! She is so thoughtful and meticulous, making sure everything is perfect. She has really helped improve my skin. Her room is incredibly relaxing and has an incredible atmosphere. She does get booked up quickly, so be sure to book in advance!
10/10 would recommend. Easy access next to the brown line, extremely spacious floor which makes it easier to move around without bumping into others. Pricing is fair and upfront. All charges are fully disclosed on their website and at the time you sign up, no hidden fees. Very well kept as well.
I really like the spa . you get a nice spa experience. after you can enjoy some drinks or snacks at a beautiful terrace. as of now my favorite spa in Chicago.
I’ve been seeing Gabi regularly for over a year and I can confidently say that she is a skincare angel. I originally found Gabi when I was looking to treat myself to a birthday facial. Since then, I’ve been getting a facial with her every 6 weeks due to my troublesome skin. I count down the minutes to my next appointment each time! Her services are the perfect mix of consultation and catching up at the beginning, complete relaxation during, and teaching and knowledge-sharing afterwards. She is passionate, talented, consistent, and the sweetest person in the world! Not to mention she actually, truly cares about my skin and its progress. I’ve treated 2 friends and my mom to facials with Gabi so I’m totally comfortable giving a 5 star rating here. 1000/10 recommend Gabi to anyone looking for a relaxing treat or hoping to learn more about their skin and all the ways it can improve! Loved my experience in the spa! Everything was so clean and I felt so pampered. I loved using the sauna and steam room after my massage. The massage therapist I had was amazing. Jessica delivered an excellent deep tissue massage and made me feel so comfortable and cared for. I walked out feeling like jello! But in a good way :) I liked it so much I came back the next day and asked for her specifically. Talk about a wonderful pampering experience! Also Marla at the front desk greeted me with a smile and kind nature every time I spoke with her. I would come back to the hotel just for the spa! Thank you for helping this busy mom unwind and relax this weekend.
Gabi is IT when it comes to your skincare. She’s been sugaring and tinting my mighty but BLONDE brows for over a year and I can’t imagine going anywhere else. She knows how to highlight and frame your beauty to perfection! And her facials are AMAZING and include the perfect balance of massage, relaxation, and skin perfection. She truly cares about her clients and loves what she does and it shows!
We came in for a couple’s massage while staying at TheWit. It was my partner’s first time getting a massage, and the ladies we were with did a great job of making us both feel comfortable. We left feeling really refreshed and pampered.

I've been to Gabi 3 times now for brows and a facial. You can truly feel her amazing energy and genuine care for your needs. I really appreciate her passion for what she does. It's such a breath of fresh air! I love that her products are natural and she has a great wholistic approach to skincare. Also, SUCH a cozy space. It's such a treat to relax & unwind there.
Great staff. Good place to work out night or day. I had one bad experience, but they solved the situation well. The cleanliness of the facility is great when it's not packed.
It was just meh. The massage was unmemorable- lots of caressing when I asked for their therapeutic. Plus It is very small. The whisper lounge (which is just three lounge chairs with side tables and low lighting) is equivalent to the size of a walk in closet. The locker room can accommodate maybe two people at a time comfortably. But you pay tremendous prices for the service AND then they hike on a 22% service charge that they don’t tell you about. So be warned. When we asked about the extra charges, we got a very cold response. We got “it is what it is so deal with it” kind of response. It left a bad taste in my mouth after trying to have a relaxing day. I would never go back. I’ve been to several spas so I will tell you there are way better ones with better customer service.

Dr. Michelle Radeka is absolutely amazing! She really made me feel relaxed and answered all my questions. Ive had both Kybella and PDO threads for my neck, and botox for crow's feet and i couldn't be happier. Lustre and Dr. Radeka will forevermore be my go to place to for spa work!
Employees are very friendly and helpful, and the equipment is in decent shape and has variety. My only complaint would be that it is not big enough for their customer base and it’s a hit or miss with the cleanliness of the women’s locker room. Their tanning and massage services are awesome, would recommend a black card membership
Its such a Beautiful Spa...i enjoyed all of the amenities except the pool I didn't get to that and by the time I did there were a number of kids which was fine I went right back into the relaxation room. The front desk staff of the Spa were amazing and Patricia checked on us often to make sure we had everything we needed. The next time I return I will definitely book a service
My boyfriend and I are from Michigan and enjoyed our couples massage. We both have never had a massage before and went with a swedish massage. Our therapists asked about problem areas and areas to avoid if any. They also asked if the pressure was too hard or too light and changed if requested. Very relaxing and what we needed. The one minor complaint is that our robes were a touch too small. We are plus sized individuals and having an additonal fabric to maybe snap inside the robe would have been nice to cover our fronts more. Overall an amazing experience and we would come again!!
I got several amazing facials from Jennifer before my wedding. I love the space, and Jennifer is so helpful and patient in talking me through the best skin care treatments for my sensitive skin. A great spa experience, I can't wait to go back! Plus she has a nice selection of products to purchase and take home - lots of organic skin care and top of the line professional options.

- there is a yoga studio that also holds complimentary fitness classes. The schedule for the spa is emailed every weekend.
- the indoor pool is small but almost always empty given this hotel caters mostly to the business types.
- the bathroom is the spa bathroom so a lot cleaner than a regular gym with shaving amenities, hair spray, hot towels etc.
- complimentary fruits( apples and bananas) as well as water bottles are provided.
- you usually have a lot of room, peace and quiet during non peek hours.
- you get your own personal locker with a code so can leave your stuff there.
- you get a discount for Spa services as a member.
- hot Sauna and steam rooms are included.
Cons:
- I could have potentially taken a star out given the gym can get pretty busy during peek hours (early morning, after 5 and during lunch times) because this facility is also used by hotel guests. This however, does not mean that the bathrooms would be full given the hotel guests don't tend to use those facilities.
I'm paying $89 per month and received a discount on my initiation when I mentioned that I work across the street.
