Packed with people on weekends but worth the trip! A lot to do and explore now that they have built the new wing underground. The shows are fantastic and intriguing, and the exhibits are interesting and interactive. The views of LA are stunning! Can't say I recommend the cafeteria- the food is low quality and the fruit cups are moldy. Eat elsewhere and then enjoy everything else this wonderful park and Observatory have to offer!
Great place to hike and get your mind off worries. Definitely bring a cold water bottle,sunscreen, and sunglasses. Fresh wind and an amazing overview of the city. Dog friendly

I'm thinking about going there. It looks beautiful, and the pool looks clean. 😍 the children also have access to the Gym and the fitness room. Also the activities there look like they are endless!
I came with my family and it was a great experience. The view is so beautiful, there is a museum inside, a theater, a dinner and a small shop. The many downside to this is that it's all the way to the peak as well it is so packed. There are so many people.

I had no idea how fun this place would be for our whole family! We went as part of our Get Out Pass, but the admission price is SO reasonable that we'll definitely be back. Parents don't even have to pay, although they do have massage chairs you can pay for while supervising your kids. That's great marketing! My 2 year old was in heaven. Even my baby found the scenery exciting. We ordered a 14 inch pizza, which though not gourmet by any means, wasn't half bad and was also reasonably priced. Will totally visit again!
We've been here multiple times throughout the years. My daughter had her birthday here this past weekend, Amy was our party host and she did a fantastic job! She checked on us and helped me with getting some candles (because I forgot them!). Next time we'll do the extreme party package in hindsight it was a much better deal!

Wow, so impressed! I've been avoiding places like this for years because I assumed they'd be grimy and smell like feet. I was surprised by how CLEAN Kangaroo Zoo is. Even with a bunch of sweaty, happy kids running around there is no smell. It may not seem big but there is plenty to do. I appreciate the bounce toys dedicated to kids age 4 and under. The staff were incredibly nice and so helpful with various questions. They went out of their way to give us a nice experience. Food prices are reasonable instead of outrageous. Your admission price is for a FULL DAY so you can come and go. I'm sad we waited so long to try it but thrilled we found a new place to play. Thank you Kangaroo Zoo for running an awesome business! (Please open a location in Davis County)
I was here for a quinceañera and this was a really great venue on top of being a wonderful community center. Each facility is well maintained and clean. I tried the water fountains which were cool and refreshing.
Kangaroo Zoo was the best to work with for a birthday party! They were attentive and thorough when I called to schedule the day and time. Then, day of, we had the best time watching the kids play without worry. The party room was well-kept and set up when we arrived and the pizza was fresh from the oven right on time. The staff was all incredibly attentive. The kids all had a total blast!! Worth every penny for the peace of mind and guaranteed fun! ❤️
Saw this place more than hundred times on TV, but you don't realize how astonishing Griffith Observatory is until you are here in person.
The building of the observatory itself is such an elegant architecture situated up on the hill of Hollywood, plus the story of Mr. Griffith, this is definitely a must visit place when you are in LA downtown area.
Meanwhile, this is also the perfect location to appreciate the night view of the Great LA metropolitan area, just utterly beautiful.

This is a small decent water park. It has a restaurant, bar, free towels, cool area to sit, and it’s fine for a low key wet day. We also rented a room for the day and it was nice.

Great place. However they were supposed to re-open again as of June 1st and it has been at this point 2 months behind schedule and now they have given up giving an expected open date for the pools again which is very frustrating for those like me paying monthly to not even be able to use the pools for 2 months further than what was promised.
It's a great facility and run efficiently. An amazing place for both summers as well as winters.

We spent our last night in LA at this gorgeous, iconic place. What a view! It was crowded but was fine. You can see views from everywhere. Definitely go inside and see the museum. Traffic was heavy getting in and out, so plan for that. We opted to walk down via the trail. Great choice, just know that it is STEEP and dusty, so be careful. Shoes with good tread would be recommended.
This waterpark is amazing for toddlers and young children but there’s nothing for teenagers except the lazy river. The large pool is way too crowded and shallow for teenagers.
Absolutely amazing sights of the entire city, just breathtaking. The museum is very informative and nice. Highly recommend if you're visiting to take this place in. Plan on spending a while here as you take in everything. Do yourself a favor and plan towards the end of the day so you can see the city in the daytime and nighttime. Very beautiful aight to behold.
Very nice park and the grounds are well kept. 4 baseball diamonds, skate park, basketball courts (6 hoops), kids playground, trails, picnic area, and a huge pool with 2 slides and two diving boards. The pool has music playing, lifeguards, and a snack bar with hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, chicken tenders, and pizza.
Beautiful park and lots of areas to pass the time, barbecue, or hold a birthday. Parking can be an issue as well as people who speed down this road.

It's amazing. The park has a little for everyone. The hiking is excellent if that's your thing. The observatory is breathtaking. You can walk pretty much the whole area of the observatory. Great picture moments. You can walk to the Hollywood sign from there. Really a must see if your in L.A.
This place is literally a ship wreck! Definitely don’t recommend. Just spend the extra money on an Airbnb and go to the theme parks for entertainment. Water park entry is NOT included in your stay unless you’re an owner which defeats the purpose of choosing this resort for our vacation. Phones didn’t work from within the rooms to order a golf cart to transport us to our destination or anything else. You get a constant busy sign. Waited forever that you might as well walk. Kitchen is very poorly equipped. Definitely not worth the money.
Nice place great for the community noticing that communities outside of southeast Queens are using facilities as well just got to make sure community residents are not pushed aside !
the customer service is bad very bad a bunch of kids that just don’t know how to run a business, supposedly nothing works as far as being able to joint , you go there and they tell you , that you can’t join with a money order, no cash and no card but there is nothing on the web site so , some one can know but it seemed like all the other folks have f colors had no problem, very unprofessional a bunch of kids that just don’t know how to run a business

Just had a very pleasant walk around the waterfront. I did notice that the pond needs cleaning. There were a lot of trash floating on the water and frankly felt terrible because it is such a nice park and we saw a lot of wildlife in the water - bullfrogs, turtles, duck families, fish - but the trash is detrimental to these animals health and very unsightly! It is not a difficult task for the parks department to have the trash in the water picked up once a week, and I certainly hope they do. Such a beautiful park that needs a bit more upkeep.

This community center offers social activities as well as exercise groups. I started playing pickleball recently and the regulars easily introduce themselves and make you feel welcome.

A nice local park for kids. There are 2 different playground that are appropriate for younger and older children. The small playground in fenced in which is nice.

As a senior citizen I have been to the weight room & I am a computer 🖥️ student, however I anticipate going to the pool, as it was newly renovated.
Posting as a guest who didn't pay for anything. Room was reserved for a birthday party with a 1-1/2 hour time slot. Two tables had seating for 16 plus a special large chair for the guest of honor photos. Employees were efficient in bringing pizza and pitchers of soft drinks. The play area had a large inflatable slide plus other inflatable play equipment. Tall climbing area. Arcades. Seating and tables in the play area is available. Massage chairs. On a Saturday afternoon it was busy and noisy but didn't feel overly crowded. Everyone -- everybody -- adult or child -- is required to remove shoes and wear socks unless you want to wait on a bench in the small outer area. North Salt Lake location seems convenient to a large, growing area.
Well organised competition pool with perfect temperature. Love the giant fan. Friendly life guards, good atmosphere. Other swimmers polite about lane sharing when busy. Great place. Decent gym facilities abd leisure pool for kids
love the pool one thing I don't like is you have to be over 16 to use the hot tub and there somewhat strict about that rule but it's a nice pool got a play area for children and an Olympic pool with lazy river and bigger water slide for bigger kids/adults there locker rooms are really nice
This an Amazing recreational center in South east Queens, incredible staff, great programs and the pool power is real.
We LOVE coming here. Their prices are always very competitive compared to some of the other indoor gigs in the valley. They've recently replaced some of the equipment and bounce houses without having to jack up their prices. We've come here for birthdays every year for the last THREE years and always get our moneys worth. They even allow you to leave and come back with free re-entry! 10/10 absolutely recommend this place!

My grandson had his 2 year Birthday party here today, mist say, it was a success!! We had about 22 guests, arrived the party room was ready for us, they gave us carts to bring in the presents, pizza, cupcakes etc. Provided a few balloons, plates, cups, napkins, drinks as well as party bags for the guests. All of the kids and adults had an absolute blast on all of the rides/ infalateables and games. Keep up the good work!!

Bohrer Park Activity Center in Gaithersburg MD is a clean, well maintained, well staffed and well patroned rec center, offering the community an affordable fitness and recreational facility year round. It is situated on almost 60 acres of parkland, featuring Gaithersburg City's water park, a skate park and an open outdoor expanse with nearly a mile and a half of hiking/walking trails, ponds, picnic tables, a well-equipped playground and more.
Indoors, Bohrer has two full-size parquet floor gymnasiums with basketball and volleyball courts and a continual schedule of fitness-centric courses, classes and clubs. Additionally featured is a moderately sized exercise room, which includes a dozen StarTrac/Nautilus resistance training circuit machines, a full set of rubberized dumbbells up to 85 lbs. and a dozen cardio training machines, such as exercise bikes, treadmills and ellipticals. Facilities are open seven days a week with somewhat reduced weekend hours. Being a city property, Borhrer Park entrance fees, memberships and activity passes are significantly less expensive than typical privately owned facilities.

The park may not be large, but serves the area well, with soccer fields, a football/ open field, baseball fields, a small rec center, tennis and pickle ball courts, and a swimming pool. There is also a volley ball sand pit, toddler playground, and numerous picnic tables and grills. If you walk out the back of the park, you can stroll into the Occoquan nature preserve, that leads into Belmont Bay also.
The park has really went down hill.... there's no swings and I think a homeless man was living there... it smelled like B.O. and found dirty clothes under one of the slides.

Bohrer Park is a lovely place to visit for a walk or a picnic. I volunteered here a couple of weeks ago. I love the train-themed decor!
Many thing to do here. There's a zoo. I have not went in the zoo for a few years. There are more exhibits since then. There's zip lining. There's miniature golf. There's paddle boats. There's a place to eat and drink. There's an ice skating rink. There's a walking path for people and pets. Plenty of parking. EV charging is free for the first 2 hours. This place gets crowded on weekends.
We enjoy coming here for ice skating: the facility is updated, personals are friendly, my son loves watching the ice hockey teams training session. We have been to Mannen arena in Morristown, that place was very old and didn’t feel very clean, we would definitely recommend Codey!

It could use some improvements but the Employees and dedicated and friendly. They MAKE the Community Center. I feel like the city and state ignores it because it's in a primarily black neighborhood.

Great outing for a rainy/thunderstorm day. Kids 2 & under are free, so I just paid the $5 adult admission. For a 2 year old and 1 year old, this was a nice one hour outing (as we were swimming before dinner time since availability for free swim isn’t until 1pm/when my toddlers are napping). They have family restrooms and there’s a shower in them, which was helpful for changing into swim diapers before for the kids.
One star taken off for the one roach that fell from the air duct while we were in the lazy river (which actually had a decent current for us 3, as I’m navigating the toddlers in their puddle jumpers). I brought my own puddle jumpers, but noticed they have a bunch of life vests in various sizes near the kids area if your littles aren’t swimming yet.

Playground is fun but no shade, basketball courts, tennis courts, skate park etc. No port-a-potty next to playground but there are others on the grounds.
This is an awesome location for a pool day with the family. We spent more than 3 hours here. The price was great as well. $4 per kid...
A little oasis of fun and love.
Ship Wreck Island Water Park inside the Westgate Town Center is wonderful with a fun vibe. My family and I really enjoyed it here. The water park is two levels, down stairs is mainly huge pool for people to swim and relax. Upstairs is the main action paction where the water rides and action happens. We went on the crazy water slides, they have two set of two water slides. Two of the water slides, one open and one fully closed curves you down to the bottom. The other two are for the living dangerous people that torpedoes you straight down to the bottom with an instant wedgie, lol. They also have water slides for children and toddlers too. We relaxed in a tube in the lazy pool, you can swim or walk as well. There's a bar here and you can order food from the restaurants inside the water park. I’m giving them a one start. Not Because the Water Park or the Pool or the service on the water park. Let’s make that clear. My ONE star it’s because they don’t got enough chairs to seat. There’s people that come and go from the pool to the water park and leave a towel on the chairs on both places so they can move from one place to the other and still have a place to sit. Mean while there’s more people looking where to sit. They even lay towels on the floor to sit. Been an owner of west gate seen this it’s very disappointing
There is so much cultural diversity on the West Side, and Baker Center had always been a part of that. The hill here is a super fun place to sled. I almost don't wanna tell you because it's relatively unknown and not a lot of families sled here.
Took flu shots today at AC at Bohrer Park. The people are so courteous, and helpful. The process is so streamlined and quick. The station is a little hidden from the view and the sign is easy to miss.
Recreation area is nice. There is an approximate 2 mile walk around the lake. At this time (covid-19), masks are requested too. When we went, there was a police man asking where people's masks were, if they did not have them

Contrary to a previous review, there is usually plenty of parking and the parking spaces themselves are quite spacious. The city goes lots of great employees that work for the department of parks/rec/culture at the activity center. Great culture! Fitness center, activity rooms, basketball gyms, skate park, water park, putt-putt, play structure and lots of open space make this an excellent part of the city.
I ususally go for gym and pool...their gym is very very small..they don't have a lot of instruments...they dont have bar...and many other inatruments...but they have enough dumbells....their pool is ok..but if you dont have proper attire you can't get in...and remember to bring a pool locker lock...

Encourage folks to go to Hampton Clean City Commission meetings here to help make Hampton a better place to live and work.
This community center truly helps the community of Hampton ot has enhanced the life style of all who visit there are many many programs for the kids and adults stop by and ask!!!
Great place and fun for the whole family! The parking is convenient as the arena is a part of the South Mountain complex, which includes Turtle Back Zoo. There is so much to do from the rink, to the zoo and of course, the mountain. Just be careful of when have occur, because then the rinks are not open to everyone. The phone system and website are also not well organized for finding hours. However, this is not much of a problem since there is so much to do in the area. Also the rates are low ( $9 for adults and $4 for skates).

I love the fitness center! It’s got all the equipment you’d want, it’s always super clean. Their building services department does an awesome job of keeping the facilities clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and responsive to any needs or inquiries. The art exhibits are an added delight. I look forward to enjoying them on my way in. I’ve been going here for years and wouldn’t even consider going elsewhere.

Nice little park, 3 medium size slides for kids and adults. Lots to do for kids. Lazy river was very enjoyable. Bars are nice and have friendly staff. Lifeguards are very helpful and attentive. It’s nothing huge but for an on-site water park it does the job well.
I only go there to swim. There are numerous other interesting things offered. Theater Shows, Photography Classes/Club, Aerobics, Weight training... just to name a few. Service is barely at acceptable level. Do not expect to be catered to or to see employees display initiative.
Definitely enjoy skating here with the family during the open session. Comparable prices - when you bring your own skates. Friendly staff, excellent parking, and not too crowded. Definitely a gem here in Essex County!
My favorite thing about this place is the art exhibits they have all the time. For Halloween they set up an “Altar de los Muertos” at the entrance, which was a great way to teach and learn about this Mexican costume. Another time they had several pieces from Latino artists in the community. The center offers several sports programs, workshops, fitness clases, etc.
Attended/volunteered at the Veterans Stand Down on 17 Nov 2018. Third year I've assisted at this location. Great venue for this event. Many breakout rooms; plenty of space. Can prepare meals. Showers available. From what I understand, this center is vital to the surrounding community and offers activities for the kids. Will continue to support!!

There aren't any amenities like built-in BBQ grills, picnic shelters, electrical access, or public restrooms. A portable toilet is provided during the summer softball and fall football seasons. It's regularly inspected, cleaned & pumped out.

Center is outdated and the workers are simply incapable of running the facility with professionalism. Thr desk is run by people who seem to be substance abusers and people on workfare who does not have good attitude or good work attributes.
Great community house! I went here every Friday when I was a kid for Friday night youth!
This is a multi-level community center that has been the voting place for several years. It is connected to the school and children use it quite regularly. Judging from the children's drawings and other works of art, this center appears to be exceptionally racially diverse. Walking out from the lower level, you can see the ball fields and the schools gardens.
Great natural resource for the community that offers one of the few NYP&R lap pools and tennis courts. Just need that tennis bubble to stay warm during the winter. Would like to see more publicity and growth for their tennis program especially after losing Bill Briggs
SMRC has something for everyone of all ages and interests. Food, zoo, minigolf, zipline & ropes course, peddle-boats, playgrounds, hiking, jogging... or simply relaxing waterside with good company or a good book ! Sunrise or sunset yoga and meditation, picnics, special events and dramatic seasonal views in every direction. NJ's best kept secret!
The main reason I give five stars on my first gym visit is because it's near my neighborhood. There is barely even a Starbucks in these backwood parts so I appreciate there being a gym......however tiny it do be!!!

If walk down the hallway to the locker room too fast you MIGHT just miss it!!!
I can't imagine what it would be like on a crowded day Lord let me not be there on THAT day.
However the small glass enclosed workout room makes for excellence air conditioning!!!
And air-conditioned it WAS!
I had to turn that thing OFF myself!!!
As it was right in front of my face on the treadmill I was on I was afraid I might catch pneumonia!
My body trying to work up a sweat while my head feels like it's been disembodied and stuffed into a meat freezer!
I was surprised to see separate and curtained shower stalls for the girls who need their privacy LOL!
The Manhattan 54th Street location offers no such prudence it's an open free for all!
Ok besides all my colorful assessment I enjoyed my workout experience at RWRC!
Though I will not visit as much as I would like due to I work in the city and the 54th Street location is just more accessible considering the NYC Recreation Center's hours!
I would recommend locals to visit this gym especially for cardio workout as I just think the space is more geared towards that!
And you have the park nearby to chill for a minute after your workout or maybe do an extra lap outdoors if you got to the gym near closing as I did!

Great place for the kids. Amazing staff
This place is out dated. The last time I entered this bldg. was over twenty years ago and it looks the same as it did then. It's a shame you have to leave the neighborhood to appreciate the nyc parks dept. SMH ...if your drive go to flushing meadow, sunset part even brooklyn offers St. John's parks dept. The star was for the track. 😭
The conference room at the Baker Rec center is very nice for groups up to 20 individuals. They offer a great view of the playground and football fields.
