Food: We really enjoyed sharing an $8 order of Saganaki cheese curds; a $24 Whitefish dinner which came with yellow rice, vegetables and an excellent, thankfully-not-starchy egg lemon soup; and a $5 Chicken skewer, which included on it three or four (apologies for not paying too much attention) very, very large, tender, gently seasoned, boneless cuts of chicken breast. We were neither here nor there about our $18 Calamari, which was plentiful but bland without its included marinara sauce. And our take-home baklava dessert was good but overpriced for its portion.
Service: We placed our orders at a front register. When the order was ready a server brought it to our table and let us enjoy. All of the workers we encountered were pleasant and professional. My only quip, coupled with a kudo, stems from how our egg lemon soup was presented. Its bowl had on it a lid that was too tight to remove. That bowl was very hot, so I brought it back for one of the servers to open. They thankfully did and in the future we will ask that our egg lemon soup be served lidless or at most loosely lidded.

This place is a true hole in the wall. Just ask the owner what’s good and have that. I didn’t know about the menu items, every time I stopped by he prepared something different (wraps, plates, sliced meat, cubed meat, different sauces etc)..
The food is great so as the service. The prices are reasonable I will drug back.
The food here is good - really good. But their ability to make food on time for pick up is bad - really bad. I placed an order for 5pm pickup which was 15 minutes after I ordered, and it took another 10 minutes beyond that. 25 minutes in total for a pick up order? Not great.

A hidden gem in the area! One of the best veggie focused Mediterranean sandwiches I've had so far: I tried out the Veggie Saj and it came out so well and tasted amazing - the cauliflower and falafel is full of flavor.

Very busy spot mid week. I have my favorite Gyro place to compare against and this one is okay. Portions are much smaller and price is higher. Flavor is okay. Dish presentation is like quick fast food style. Fries were just okay. No pics to show since I was bored with the food and the place.
This place deserves 5 stars. I don’t understand why so many bad reviews. The food was so delicious! Saffron Chicken! So juicy, so good! Great customer service as well. Very nice and attentive cashier. Oh Also, Keto options! Thank you!

Great pizza and gyros. That’s all new had this time but the quality and experience will bring us back. Food was plentiful, quick and well prepared. I had a personal Greek pizza and my wife a gyros. Service was excellent. We enjoyed the non standard soft drink options. You order at the counter and they bring out to you. Entering and exiting the parking lot is a little tricky but worth the effort.
Honestly one of the worst meals I've ever had. The beef had not melted shredded mozzarella and the cheese sauce was curdled and chunky. They gave the cup half empty when I opened it so I went back to request a full cup of cheese considering it's $5.99 for the cheddar fries then the person in the kitchen said "what's wrong with it?"

Alright. I'm from Canada and feel like I got robbed here. $6 USD for the smallest and saddest hot dog with "cheddar". I don't know my freedom units, but I'm thinking that hot dog was maybe 1oz MAX in weight. SMALL af! That was also not cheddar in any shape, way, or form my dear friends from the south. Your city is great and I had lots of fun, but this place was so bad I couldn't wait to get WiFi and leave this review. Sorry (not really though).

This place is amazing! One of our go-to dinner spots in the neighborhood— the food is high quality and delicious + filling, not nearly as expensive as other places in the area, and the family who owns the business are the sweetest people!!

Probably the best halal truck in Philly. Have this almost every week and has never disappointed. Service is prompt and the guy there is very friendly.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I lost my phone and my wallet on the sidewalk because I was carrying a very big box and they fell out of my pocket and it was dark outside. I was in a complete panic to say the least. The very kind owner had found it was was able to return it to me. I cried so many happy, grateful tears for their kindness. They helped me bag up my box to make it easier to carry home, got me a cold water and gave me some tissues. I felt so loved in that moment by the whole staff. Thank you all so very much, I am so grateful. 💓
The best and most authentic Mediterranean food in Austin served with a smile! The owner and chef was super friendly and made an incredible meal. This was the closest Mediterranean I’ve have since being in Europe. 10/10 recommend.
First time going tonight and I loved the food. The owner is nice and gave my husband and I free baklava for being first timers. We were surprised and grateful. I am def coming back. The food was worth the drive.
4 months ago, I had a lovely experience, food was tasty and authentic, atmosphere was pleasant & prices were reasonable. Yesterday, I felt repeating the experience, I ordered the same food and here comes the shock. Let alone the bill came 35% higher than last time, but the food was cold, served after 22 minutes though there was only one table of 3 guests, over and above tastes horrible. I realized that though I was a walking in customer, but still there were serving the online orders before me. BTW, I spent today in the bathroom, struggling of diarrhea. Last time to visit.

One of the BEST food trucks in Austin serving Mediterranean food. It’s located in a busy area with bars/restaurants, inside a gas station parking lot. It was our first time there but we have heard great things. We were greeted by an older man, he was extremely nice and runs the truck by himself. I asked him if he was Egyptian since my bestie is and she is from Alexandria. The owner said he was from Alexandria too! ☺️
We ordered the shish kebab plate, mixed grill plate, HAWASHY, and he gave us complimentary baklava since it was our first time there.
The meat plates were so good. The meat was generous and the pita bread was soft, warm, and so good with the hummus and meat on it. The salad was refreshing and cold. Works really well with the meat and rice and white sauce. The mix grill plate was a combo of lamb and chicken—get it if you want to try both meats. The HAWAWSHY was very very unique. It was a very big bread stuffed with beef and lamb. It was so soft, easy to pull apart, slight sweetness from the bread and spice from the meat. We got it as an appetizer but the size of it is a whole entree. I highly recommend you try the hawawshy next time. And lastly, of course the baklava was amazing. We air fried the 2nd one the next day and it was so good.

This place is great to visit when you're on an empty stomach! I got the #4 which is a chicken saj shwarma ($13 after tax as of 11/16/23). It was jam-packed with ingredients and they harmonize amazingly. You really get the bang for your buck! Everything about this gyro is great even down to the bread! If u haven't eaten here yet, i highly recommend gyro saj- you won't be disappointed.
I visited Heros Gyros for the first time and it was DELICIOUS!! They were at the Texas Book Festival. I am a plant based eater and this food did not disappoint. After receiving my order, several people I passed asked where I got the food because it smelled so good. Thanks Heros Gyros! I'll be back!!
We go here for take out on a regular basis, a least a few times a month. The gyro meat is piled on and has a delicious spice flavor on it, not typical of the other gyro spots. Food is always fresh and consistent. We love the gyro salad! It has so much meat! The baklava is also delicious. Highly recommend.

Service was great but the gyros and fries were unfortunately pretty bland. They had a good portion of meat on the gyro but the flavors just weren’t there. The fries were supposed to be seasoned and I barely could taste the seasoning. For the price, I don’t think this place is worth it. Hope they change up their recipes soon because the service was good.
While the ambience of this place may not be one of significance, the food is incredible and perfect to grab and eat on the go. Try the Chicago Style Dog as it is, don’t be picky! It’s delicious!! Also try Joe’s Peach Tea and thank me later, they keep it stocked. Sis and I visited for a quick bite on the way to the park.
We order take out from here a lot, but lately the portions just seem to be getting smaller and smaller, use to, you couldn't eat it all in one sitting. Now, my husband will still be hungry after this. This is not a $20 portion.

What a great find Gyro Time is! My wife and I both ordered the Beef & Lamb Gyro. It was wonderful. I have had Gyro's before in authentic Greek restaurants in Michigan, but Gyro Time's meat was the best!, rich and flavorful. They use their own spice collection on the meat. It is a small restaurant, but has a great atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal interacting with the owners and diners as they picked up their orders. The pistachio baklava was also delicious. Highly recommended!
First time ordering and I can say I really enjoyed my pizza. Was perfectly cooked and was better then a lot of pizza I’ve had in Atlanta. I tried the baklava cheesecake but it wasn’t very good. Would rate it a 3/5 and pizza 5/5!
When we moved to the burbs I asked everyone where to eat and repeatedly heard Grill House. After glancing at the menu, I wasn’t impressed. I mean, how good can a chicken pita? Is a gyro really all that impressive? Well well well wasn’t I proved wrong. After eating here multiple times I understand the hype. The food is FRESH and it’s clear that the quality is there. Couple that with huge portions and a crowd pleasing menu, no wonder Grill House does such a high volume of business. I dream about their salmon sandwich on the regular - a massive portion of perfectly cooked salmon on a brioche bun with a Cajun sauce - and the saganaki cheese curds. Even their basic cheeseburger is outstanding (it’s the brioche bun, I swear). My entire family loved Grill House and we are definitely fans for life.
Delicious food w fast service. Came during a Friday during lunch hour. The workers are efficient and get your food out quick, so good option for workers nearby during lunch. I had the gyro plate — the pita bread was soooo soft and fluffy. Wow. The beef and lamb gyro had tons of flavor. Tasty tzatziki w olive oil drizzle. So much flavor without any additional sauces! Next time, I would highly recommend asking for the garlic sauce — that will def elevate this dish to more deliciousness. Will be back!

First time trying this place, and it was wonderful. They have a good variety to choose from. The platters come with a good portion of food as well. I got the personal pan Hawaiian pizza, and it was amazing. The lady taking our order at the register was very kind and helpful. I highly recommend dining here to get a good bite to eat!
The restaurant is very dirty. The service is very poor more importantly the food that I ordered were terribly awful. I don’t know why the people have given such a good review?!?! They might be their family or friends. I will never come to eat here again it was a very bad experience.
I've been coming here for a while because one, I really enjoy the Shwarma, and two the owner is a good guy and I try and support the local businesses of good people.
Amazing Mediterranean food!! Such a perfect choice for a quick, healthy meal. We had the veggie plate and the gyro plate, everything tasted fresh and delicious. Portions sizes were perfect and the prices were fair. Super friendly staff as well, we’ll definitely be back :)
I ordered a lamb gyro plate for take-out today and the portion size was absolutely pitiful. For $17 (before tax) I got a meal that tastes no better than anything I could've gotten from my office's cafeteria; the sole difference is that the cafeteria serves twice as much food for half the price. I will not be patronizing this business again.
Very generic store bought food with a hipster spin on the menu description, definitely not worth the prices. HEB has better in the frozen section.

I was traveling from NJ and got a meal for myself and the family. The chicken was very tender and extremely flavorful. The rice was also very fragrant and fresh. The portion size was also generous. I really liked the taste. I also tried lamb gyro and that was also very delicious. Everyone loved it.
Got take-out lunch to validate parking while charging car. What a mistake. Had a $21 lunch plate!! with horrific quality chicken ( don't even know if it was chicken) in some kind of brown sauce, with soggy rice and a gross cucumber salad. I mean it was just terrible. And I paid the price...An hour or two later my stomach was churning. I regret going here. Should have just got a Robek's juice and pretzel. Avoid at all costs.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Austin. We always get great service and the gentleman is kind and sometimes provides a few extras at no cost. The portions are generous and you won’t leave hungry. There is nothing bland about the food either. Can’t wait to come back again!
We were staying at a local hotel and wanted something fresh and healthy compared to fast food off the highway. We had a great healthy meal, which left us stuffed. I got the chicken kebab salad and hummus and I enjoyed it! My son got the falafel plate and he really liked it. It was nice to sit outside on a nice summer day too.
They don't even know what is Greek cuisine means. I ordered Avgolemono soup is so bad bad nothing even close to Greek. It will be fair to change the name instead of Georges Greek Grill
Came here for dinner and had a decent experience! The food was good and so was the service. I had the southwest burger (Basket) with waffle fries it was delicious. My boyfriend had ribs with garlic bread, waffle fries, and lentil soup. I must say, if I'm ever in that area I will stop at Grill House for a whole slab of ribs. 😍 My boyfriend shared his ribs with me and... It was Amazingly delicious. 9.5/10 🫣 The service was fast and friendly. Check the place out, you won't regret it.🍴🤘🏻
We came to Austin for Memorial Day weekend and ended up here, and it was absolutely delicious! I got the Shish Taouk Plate and it was great. The Baklava was also really good. I’m definitely stopping by again when I come back :)
Wow! I eat a lot of Mediterranean food and this place stands out for all the right reasons. Flavors are just...so good. Something unique about the spicy green chutney, the perfect peta, the gyro meat.... Everything is right with the food. Friendly staff and clean place, what more can you want?

For American standards is fine. The gyros you eat in Greece are completely another flavour, completely unrelated to this product. It's good but don't call it gyros. Overpriced for what it is.

Had the food truck outside the hospital. The foods great but the service was even better. I was headed somewhere else to eat but stopped here looking at the menu. He asked if I needed help and he said they would let me order even though they were closing. Such great service and would definitely come back no doubt. I want to support business’s like this.
I ordered through Postmates and immediately canceled the order due to insane fees. George’s still charged my account saying “we already started your order” which is impossible seeing as how I canceled less then a minute after I ordered. This place stole $45 from me and now I have my bank disputing the issue.

Delicious Rueben Sandwich!!!! It’s now my new fave item on their menu. All the spices and ingredients came together nicely, no overpowering flavors. Also cool spot to grab a bite at anytime.
This is a great little restaurant with decent prices and some of the best food we've had in Chicago. Their menu is big and there is something for everyone, including Chicago dogs and burritos. Definitely recommend!

The food here overall is very good! It's a walk up to the counter and order restaraunt. We dinned in. The atmosphere was nice. The beef kabobs were great. The rice was a bit bland. The Lentil soup was superb as well as the Greek Fries. We also enjoyed the Greek salad. The hummus was a little bland and overly pureed. Overall a very good experience. Would recommend!
This is a great neighborhood spot for a quick lunch or dinner. The gyros have great flavor and their sauce is spot on. You can eat in their restaurant or grab and go. Cute little place inside. The service was good and the people are extremely nice and thankful! That's one reason I always go back! Need to support the small businesses in my neighborhood.
I'm visiting Philly for a company event. Was walking by this food truck while looking for a place to eat and decided to stop here because it smelled AMAZING. I got the fish on rice dish and took it back to my hotel room. Did not disappoint. Tasted every bit as amazing as it smelled. Very pleased I stumbled onto this truck.
This is the real deal! I got the kofta kebab pita, fiance got the gyro fries and the Greek salad with chicken. Everything was fantastic. My pita was great and the fries were out of this world good!! Only thing is you might want to order to go when it's cold outside as the inside was freezing

Cute little gyro place! My beef & lamp gyro plate was amaaazing - the meat was super tender & flavorful, and a good simple salad with rice.
We LOVED the Greek fries, they were absolutely amazing!!!! However our side of falafel was super dry and crumbly... seemed like it was old or maybe just an off-day. They have pretty good tzatziki sauce though!! Portions were decently sized. I'd definitely go back again for those Greek fries and the gyro plate.

This place is amazing! The food tastes great, we got the mixed shawarma and gyro plate and you get tons of food! Comes with a side of pita. Hummus tastes homemade, it is delicious. Make sure you order some baklava. The owner is so so nice, he truly cares about providing quality food and quality service. A true East Austin gem.
This is a nice play to hangout with family 👪 or friends to dine in 🍽. It is very organized and very clean. You have a good selection of options to choose from to have a variety taste of this place 😋. Lots of parking since it's a plaza location🚗🛻.

Instead, you have a set of workers there that come and carry over your order to your table. Very good customer experience. Especially for the elders, I witnessed how good of a service the 2 gentleman did that day as it got busier during our stay there.

Not too little but also not too much where I felt almost sick for eating too much. Shake was like really soft ice cream 🍦. I was tempted to get a piece of cake they have for dessert 🍨 🥧 🍦 🍡 🍧 🍩. But, I'll come back soon.

Delicious!! Stopped by Grill House on our way to Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Literally just picked a spot on the map. This was not a disappointing experience. Exterior was clean, fresh, cozy and inviting. The interior was immaculate and very well acquainted. The team behind the counter was very pleasant, eager to help and provided excellent customer service. Offered suggestions as if they have tasted everything.💚 Appreciate the speed and quality of food and service. The food was fabulous. Even the food at the other tables looked great as people seemed to really be enjoying their personal selections. TONS of options from a healthier perspective to the well appointed burgers. We will be back!!

This place is a hidden gem! I drive by all the time and finally stopped to get lunch. I got a cheese calzone, a side Greek salad, and a slice of raspberry donut cheesecake to go.
The service was fast and friendly, and the food was great! The calzone is HUGE, cheesy, and delicious, and came with a side of marinara. Side salad was fresh and the balsamic vinaigrette was very tasty.
I love the decor and the mural inside, and they also have a Star Wars pinball machine and a multicade! They also had a great music playlist on.
I’ll definitely be back to try their pizza and explore their extensive beer and wine menu. Great spot for a quick lunch or a family dinner!

Been driving past this place for a couple months and finally decided to stop in. So happy I did because everything was delicious. Top marks on the calzone. Nice crispy exterior but soft and full of cheese on the inside. Will most definitely be back.
It’s our second time ordering take out, and though we didn’t get pizza this time, their wraps and wrap platter were so good. My husband got the chicken souvlaki wrap with a greek salad, and I got the chicken souvlaki wrap platter with tomato + cucumber salad. It’s just good food with generous portions. We keep saying we need to dine in because the ambiance is fun, relax and they also have some outdoor seating.
Their pizzas are also amazing, but the crust is a little interesting. Not quite pan fried, and a little on the drier side. Thankful for a new pizza + Greek option in town!

We have a different food truck every Friday and Hero's Gyros is far and away my favorite. The beef and lamb gyro is my favorite. The philly cheese steak is also delish. Great servers, reasonable prices and consistently great food make this one of my favorite Fridays!
Best gyro in town! I always order the Gyro Combo! Mohammad is extremely nice and always hooks it up. A lovely man to chat about what's going on in the neighborhood. He even gave me a slice of Baklava for the holidays!!! The food is always fresh and tastes amazing! Never had a bad experience here. Stop and chat with the man he's great!
I’ve now had Grillhouse twice, once via carry out and now, I’ve also eaten in the restaurant. The food is delicious, the portions are huge, and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. When I carried out, I got gyros, while dining in I got the 1/2 Grecian chicken, which is pictured below along with the sides it came with. Also the staff was super friendly. Overall, I had a great experience, and I definitely recommend coming here!
We went here last week during the Arts Festival, it is a cozy little restaurant, very clean and the staff was very attentive and friendly. We the Chicago dog, which contained pickles, onions, bell peppers, some kind of chili pepper and tomatoes, at first site, it was intimidating however after the first bite I was hooked. The flavors complimented each other so well. The poppy seed bun added to the marvelous taste of this Chicago dog which exploded the mouth senses. We chose the meal with 2 dogs, fries and a drink which was reasonably priced. I suggest you venture out to find this gem of a Chicago dog house and experience it first hand. You will not be disappointed.
Food is delicious!!! I ordered the chicken shawarma and my husband got a gyro. Everything was fresh, juicy and full of flavour. The gentleman at the restaurant was so friendly and polite. Highly recommend!!
They messed up my order. The person working the register didn't know anything about what came on the food. The bun on the burger was stale. The hot dog was overly burnt and oddly chewy. The staff was unprofessional. Tacos weren't half bad.

I was in the mood for some gyro and saw this restaurant had great reviews. I think I could give this place one more shot, but I spent $40 here + a 15% tip. The service did not match my expectations, the food was mediocre.
The gyro was really dry and the pizza crust wasn’t done.
The location was nice though and if I’m around that area again, then I’d probably give it one more shot.

Both pizzas were half burnt & the topping was placed in the center. Honestly wasn’t very appetizing but they might have potential. Don’t let their responses to reviews mislead you. They offered a resolution but never followed through with it 👌

Clean and organized. Meat was nicely seasoned and had a good balance of tenderness and crust. Sorry I only got the meat, next time I'll try the whole meal, but the price was fair and I was definitely satisfied. I would go again and recommend to others. Thanks for cooking out by my complex! Hope you had some wine!
As someone that used to live in NY City and would eat the gyro's daily. This vendor is the closest and best tasting Halal food cart in the entire Philadelphia city area. Amazing athenic and soo delicious. You truly get alot for your $6 ! 2 Ibs of food with free soda, can't beat that deal. I love coming here for my lunch

The falafel could be more flavorful, but the texture was perfectly crunchy, and the sauce made up for it. Greek fries were an excellent choice and I highly recommend them. The pita is fluffy without being too thick, and holds up well for all the stuff it's holding. Very large portions, so you'll probably have leftovers. I'd recommend it!

Higher cost than most gyro locations around but also smaller portions. The food was good but I feel like I can get more for less elsewhere. The Greek fries also didn't have much toppings on them.
Original review: They have the best gyros in town. (Note that they have moved two doors up the street from their previous location.) They also have falafel, baklava, and kafta. Occasionally they have koshari, which is sort of like macaroni and cheese only with more flavor and much better.
You can get french fries if you want. (In the Mediterranean they seem to put french fries on everything, even the hamburgers. Not with or beside the hamburgers, but ON the hamburgers.) i've never had the french fries here, but they are probably also very good.
