In today’s culture of a formulaic service (2 songs, a 30 min sermon and 2 songs) it was refreshing to be in a body who loves worshipping, who delivers a full-lengthen sermon that is chocked with scripture, and a body who loves fellowshipping with one another. A real gem.
Might have to result to filing a lawsuit against Watermark, if I can get around the statute of limitations. The way that they do membership and where they say one can and can't serve in the church is very cultish. To make matters worse, they have destroyed my family's future financial legacy due to their financial ministry's negligence called Caris. I could go on and on about my negative nine year experience with Watermark and my experience in my community group only got worse the more years after my father passed away. There are still some things that Watermark is responsible for that they still do not own up to, which ultimately are the reason why I ended up leaving after giving them a second chance. Never give someone a second chance to waste your time.

CULT!!!!! run away as fast as you can. forced confessions (think scientology), and shun you if you leave. like what??? Hateful church, God is love, obviously he doesnt live here. They just want $$$$ so the leader can live a life of luxury.

I have visited a few times for services. The church is very nice and super modern and clean. The sermon was ok. I prefer smaller churches however, this one was very nice.

Watermark is an incredible church. They are so intentional about reaching out and getting new folks and regular folks connected and plugged in. I attend church on Sunday as well as multiple ministries throughout the week. They really embody making a big church feel small. I highly recommend!

The crowds attending this place take all the parking spots at the public parks across the street. It seems this place is a highly profitable "business"... Maybe they should have bought a larger piece of land and built a larger private parking lot. That way they wouldn't be a pain in the as* to the people who just want to take a walk at the park and need to use the park's parking spots.
Go here if you have interest in the church and want a place to commute your time to save money and actually meet interesting people. Be aware they make special events for those who want to sacrifice time not always wanting to work.

My husband & I attended Watermark’s leadership conference and had such a great time! It’s hard to have a bad time when every volunteer & staffer you come across is genuinely joyful and eager to serve. Vulnerability and intentionality are huge. Thankful for this ministry and what they do!
I'm so deeply in love with Jesus and his gospel. I love christ community church, because I get beyond fed. This place is a reflection of unity, family and the presence of God. .they offer a celebrate recovery program which is for any hurt, hang up or habit and what this group has done most is allow me to deepen my relationship with christ . So thank you ,family of faith for your love . In spirit and in truth!!!

We held our OSU Master Gardener Spring into Gardening event at the Church on the Hill. It was a perfect venue for our event. Clean, well equipped, and an awesome support staff made the event a huge success. Thanks COTH!!!
If this could afford to have zero stars I so would lemme telllllllllll youuuuuuuuuuuuu I was a community member who went here under age and I remember clearly about the abuse and molestation being reported and hidden. Due to family ties and money. It's a DISGRACE to this community and they got a new playground afterwards and the men involved in this church are SICK and The pastors son is a great excuse of why I am the way I am which is a result of how his father the pastor really is . It took me 55 years to find a church that I love. All the pastors and the Bible studies are great. The pastors are down to earth, funny and friendly. The music is led by Paul Duncan, a talented worship music writer. During the main service, we can keep notes with the program or electronically. Taking notes reminds me of keeping score at baseball games. Both Old and New Testament are covered. The church does some wonderful missionary work. The church has a YouTube channel to view live and previous services.
Gods love is in the hearts of this congregation. Enjoy being part of this family.
I am not christian but I resent myself as an atheist. I was raised to be a christian my whole life. Church on the hill is amazing! I used to go to school here. I had a very lovely and nice teacher, Ms. Madison. I used to go here in 2017. The teachers were amazing especially the science one.
I remember there used to be blue lights in the hallways and the rest of my class had neon face paint on them because a kids pet escaped so we had to find it and that day was thrilling.

Pastor Tim has done an amazing job following in his father's foot steps. What a beautiful church family. My children are so active there. Their small group has been an amazing source of friendships and support. It makes my soul glad.
We get the privilege to visit this place a few times a year when seeing family in DC. Pastor Dan is such a wonderful, welcoming and caring man. We've always felt welcomed here.

Christ Community Church has been a place of comfort, motivation and rescue for me. Pastor Tim Brock, along with the other pastoral staff, help provide sermons that really resonate with your soul. The general community of this church are friendly, uplifting and encouraging. I am extremely thankful for the ways they help this community, host events to encourage us all and help us engage with those around by asking for volunteers. Sunday Sermons are offered virtually if you aren’t able to attend in person to the three service times. The worship team is PHENOMENAL! They uplift us with their praises. The ushers and other volunteers are incredibly helpful and motivated. And I absolutely love the nursery staff for providing loving care. This church also offers Men and Women’s Bible studies, youth programs, marriage conferences, car shows, serving food to the local, reminding us of local help like the Pregnancy Help Center and so, so much more. If you’re looking for a church that not only offers food for your soul but a wonderful community, I HIGHLY recommend Christ Community Church.

Pastor Ovando's preaching is always fantastic. The people at Iglesia Cristiana CME, are very warm and welcoming. Most importantly, everything is biblically and gospel-based.

This has been my home church for years. My parents got saved at this church 30 years ago. Then so did I. I have been baptized here and grown in my relationship in christ here. The people are friendly! The sermons are amazing and powerful. I became a different person because this church helped me grow!

This is the church that I have decide to come and worship God. I have been with the church for 1 year and a half. I love the environment and the people there are great. This is a very bless Church. I feel very proud to belong to this family because at the end that what we are. For those people leaving bad comments about this church I suggest for you to open your bible and read the following bible verse:

NWCC offers preaching that is practical and kind, solid worship, sincere and friendly members. People welcome you right away and there are plenty of opportunities to plug in and serve. Highly recommend, especially for those looking for a congregation that is diverse in age and race.
Enjoyable praise service. A bit clickish but with new church leadership they are trying to turn that around. Pastor Kathy's leaving for Dayton Freedom was a loss for CotH.

The landscape of this building is pristine! This is clearly the largest church I have been too. I love how welcoming the staff is and the worship is indescribable! It is way too big for me to call it home,but the first visit left a memorable impression!

When our family moved to DC we were really hoping to find a church with diverse members, and we found it! Northwest Community Church has a really unique character in that there are so many people from different ethnic backgrounds and age groups in a relatively small congregation (~120 on Sunday morning). People welcomed us right away and we love the community here.

Church on the Hill is a place of hope, forgiveness, acceptance, and unconditional love. It is a community of people who live to serve the Lord.
First Trinity is a warm, diverse, and inviting congregation rooted in social justice, serving the DC community through thoughtful ministry, supportive community, and public service. First Trinity puts the gospel to work, serving communities around the District, the country, and the world through prayer, tithing, calls for justice, and hands-on action. And to top it off, the music selection is first-class and awe-inspiring!
The administrator is a bully and hypocrite. Great members and pastors have left the church. Watch out for the people who are in "charge."
It was very encouraging. The people were friendly and intelligent.
When we allowed ourselves to be used by God in this church, everything else became authentic. My family especially enjoys the casual simplicity of the members. Feels like there is no one to impress really, except God.
Love this church - very friendly and diverse. Tried a bunch of churches when I moved to DC two years ago, and found none more welcoming and sincere. In a very politicized and individualistic town, this has been an oasis of friendship that crosses all the usual lines.

I started going to this church in 1991 and loved it. Pastor Wes Smith was awesome! I miss that man. In the year that pastor Bill Wertz left was also the year we left. Pastor Jim Ramos, pastor Chris Collins and Pastor Lon are so awesome. You can see their grace filled hearts in their leadership. I have good friends that still attend this church and I have even more friends that have left this church either a year or two before me or right at the same time that I felt called to leave (2007/08) There are a lot of great people who are in this church family. My personal belief is that when a senior pastor becomes "entitled" or self-absorbed or unable to listen to others and it is his way or no way and unwilling to listen to constructive criticism objectively, then it is Time to move on. It was with great sorrow that we left, but we have grown in Christ so much more than I could've ever imagined since we have left.
A bible-based community church (non-denominational and independently ministered). Very friendly, inclusive, and informal. I felt comfortable from the first time I attended. Scripture-based sermons, bible study classes, and social opportunities such as small groups, recreation, outings, church picnics, Youth groups, Senior groups, etc. Has the feel of an extended family that knows you and cares about you!
