They pick up then hit voicemail . I have no way to get to the office and they are not picking up I needing help for 3 months

My father goes here he is a Vietnam veteran and i go with him to all the appointments .. the good healthcare is the least they can do after what they did to those men in Vietnam.

It's my VA and I love it.

My experience from start to finish while my little one was still growing has been a breeze. Sharon the lactation counselor helped me with a brand new electric pump and showed be how to probably pump and size does matter . She also provides me with books I’m thankful for the pump because once getting discharged from the hospital I wanted to continue pumping . The hospital does have to get better with helping and providing new moms with helpful information and more lactation counselors are needed .

That lady that picks up the phone is stuck on the pandemic when we all know mostly everything even the government buildings are in full session working she was very rude and didnt help me at all talking bout that now i cant apply in the one in 180 because its not zoned to me mind you i can go to any WIC site i want it doesnt work like that but its what ever i did get a date but now im struggling i gotta wait 2 weeks to be able to get help buying my daughter's milk because they supposedly have nothing sooner im very disappointed i wouldnt of reached out to them if it isnt that im going thru a rough patch nd i need the help ita wat ever

My babies get a special type of milk that they don’t have it everywhere. Neosure similac; I submitted documents for the liquid ones since they are available by where I live. The powder one is ALWAYS gone. 🤦‍♀️ Even though I submitted the paperwork they still refusing to give it to me. This is soo frustrating, and no one ever answers the phone. They don’t help with anything. I also needed to pump when I gave birth and they didn’t even let me go to the office, since my pump wasn’t working. The office that was in The Bronx were so much helpful 6 years ago. They use to encourage you to go pump there. Why even have a breastfeeding consultant if you can’t use them. This place has me frustrated.

I absolutely love my local WIC office!!! Especially with the help from Mariely when it comes to Breastfeeding, she’s hands on with any help as far as breastfeeding ! To the new moms don’t be discouraged to breastfeed… if you need help contact Mariely she’ll get you and baby on the right track with breastfeeding!! Thank you Mariely for all the help and support:))

This is the best experience i had that i am compelled to write a review.The lady in the front desk was so nice ,polite ,helpful , accomodating ,sweet and beautiful inside and out.She helped me right away with my son's birth certificate .It only took me less than 5 minutes .She is an epitome of an ideal government staff.Great job Thank you ,thank you ,thank you and God Bless You .

It has literally been four years later and this place is still a place of good service and people who acutally care to help. I was devasted with my son 4years ago because he was born at 28 weeks the lady help with rent a pump through them and provided services quick. They didnt hassle me or was concerned about me returning it until oceans ready and had purchased one of my own. They were so sweet. The ladies there are still helpful and so sweet. It was truly a bleeding crossing them 💕😩 so thank you ALL for doing your job displaying good customer service in places like this.

I went here for a lactation consultation with Ms. Sharon & the experience was so great! Ms. Lisa was so relatable & they made sure I felt comfortable. They answered all my questions efficiently & provided amazing advice. If you are a breastfeeding mom those are the people you need to see!!

Onother WORTHLESS government institution TB screening basically not existing.
They make it so complicated in other words get lost leave.
From here I went to Paterson board of health and there was no any frustration to do the TB screening.
This institution Bergen board of health forget the meaning of their job they need to be open and engaged reach to people and help them that's why they ware form.
Today is opposite They got closed behind walls of frustration for the once they exist!
-If you are someone that you deserved or you believe that they did not service you join a political party also call the governor and leave a protest note.

Just getting them on the phone is a hassle. No one responds to emails or phone calls. You cant go in because they are closed. Only per appointment but an appointment is impossible to get.

I got to know about WIC after I gave birth. I must say the breastfeeding program is very helpful. I’ve had the opportunity to meet with Ms. Sharon, the Lactation consultant as I was struggling with breastfeeding and she’s been super helpful and supportive. I’m a new mum and didn’t know how to have my baby latch on the breast. It was a bit difficult for me and I later thought of having my baby on Formula instead but thanks to Ms. Sharon who gave me important tips about breastfeeding and showed me the various ways I could use to breastfeed. She also gave me some materials I could read and it’s been very helpful. She will call to check up on how the breastfeeding is going and will ask if I have any questions. She’s very knowledgeable about breastfeeding. The breastfeeding program gave me breast pump, nursing bra and other items that a nursing mother might need. I feel very comfortable breastfeeding now. I will definitely recommend this program to every nursing mother.

There are some of the best doctors there. You do have to wait sometimes but that's with all places and the parking can be a little better but overall it's a real great place to get all your medical needs done for veterans. You just have to be patient with the newbies!

To my chagrin, I lost my daughters birth certificates (although I'm sure they're somewhere in my house). I thought getting copies of their birth certificates would be a tedious and laborious process, however, the folks in the Health Department for the City of Summit was superb! They actually picked up the phone within 2-3 rings, were very detailed of their process, and patient with answering all my questions. I was able to print a form out and mail to the City of Summit and they processed my request it seems same day they received it. In all, it took about a calendar week from when I mailed out the forms to getting copies mailed back. Only way to make this faster would be to set up an online submission portal. Nevertheless, their mail-in model was still super quick and the staff there very helpful! Hopefully I won't lose these certificates again but knowing this process is quite efficient makes me not have to worry so much about ever losing them again. Thanks City of Summit!

Amazing experience. After I had my son over a month ago, I ended up back in the hospital off and on for a month due to severe preeclampsia complications. I met with so many lactation consultants/ feeding experts who really couldn’t help me. I met with Sharon the lactation consultant twice. She was amazing. She really helped me and gave confidence I needed to go back to my original plan of exclusively breast feeding. I no longer have to cry feeling I failed my baby because I been unable to figure it out. She also gave me so many helpful resources. God sent for moms in the community.

Would give no star if possible. They mail your marriage certificates now without even telling you that they are mailing them regular postage and even though i was married over a month ago, they tell you it might come hold on, after stating i never wanted this mailed and it is in fact lost and was never even offered to have it mailed certified, they are allowing me to pick it up in person, but only after hanging up on me and freaking out like a child over the fact i thought i paid $11 more, so sorry Phyllis, I meant $15. The point is i am not paying you a second time to lose my documents like Spam again. You're wrong, fix it that's it, no need to try to prove a point with someone on the one thing they said that was an error. You messed up the bigger picture, i messed up semantics.

The VA is doing good things lately. If you've been on the fence regarding the VA, give them another try!

I went to my first wic appointment a couple of days ago not really knowing what to expect. 24, new mom. I walked out of that office thinking wow that place is awesome. First of all, I had no idea they had their own lactation consultant! Her name is Sharon and she’s amazing! Literally an angel at what she does. I’ve been breast feeding but I had issues with my baby’s latch so I decided I didn’t want to feed him off of my breast anymore and i would just pump. I hated pumping and I hated feeling like my nipple was being chewed off. I left her office completely happy and ready to practice breastfeeding again. I was so proud of my baby for latching properly, and now we help each other out, I feed him and my breasts don’t become painfully engorged until I have to unwillingly pump again. Once you get past the long waiting and all of the people, the actual staff members are great! Tons of information, it’s so nice that people are willing to help mothers and children in the way they do. Thank you for helping me feel closer and bond with my baby and thank you for helping us meet our nutritional needs.

YOU PEOPLE HAVE TO VISIT THE MCDONALDS ON 32ST AND KENNEDY BLVD IN UNION CITY...DIRTY, THEY DONT CLEAN THE SNOW, AND LAST NIGHT I STOP FOR COFFEE AND I SAW THIS WOMAN THAT WAS FIXING SPECIAL COFFEES LEAKING HER FINGERS TWICE IN FRONT OF ME, I TOLD THE MANAGER AND HE SEEMS LIKE IT WAS NORMAL, DISGUSTING AND WHEN I ASK FOR MY COFFEE I TOLD THIS KID THAT I WANT 5 SUGARS AND TWO MILKS AND HE JUST PLACES IN THE COUNTER? WHAT I ASK HIM IF I HAVE TO FIX MYSELF THE COFFEE? AND INSTEAD CREAM BUT NOT EVEN MILK, I TOLD HIM THAT I AM ALLERGIC TO CREAM, THEM THE OTHER PERSON WAS TELLING IN SPANISH ABOUT MY COFFEE, WHY THEY HIRED PEOPLE THAT CAN'T SPEAK THE LANGUAGE EVEN A LITTLE BIT? OH ALMOST FORGOT WHY MCDONALDS EMPLOYEES THAT ARE SERVING FOOD TO THE PUBLIC DON'T WEAR HEAD NETS? WHERE IS THE HEALTH DEPT? ALSO A PLACE ON 16 ST AND BERGENLINE AVE UNION CITY THE FIRST DELI ON THE LEFT ON 16 ST....JUST THINK KIDS ARE GETTING THEIR LUNCH FROM THAT PLACE THAT IF YOU VISIT IT YOU WILL CLOSE THAT PLACE, SO DONT FORGET WHO PAY YOUR SALARIES AND WHAT FOR WE HAVE A HEALTH DEPT OFFICE. I have been waiting in an empty waiting room for over 2 hours all the people who work here cant help me because only one lady can print a copy of a birth certificate. Its open until4:30 according to a sign in here but she took her break at 3:30 something and came back at 4pm. She was able to help the person in front of me and then started mine and said the computers were down, an I.T. came and said that they were working, but she said she had to go somewhere and she will come back. but that was around 4:20pm... now its 5:35pm. Im having an anxiety attack because Im traveling at 4am tomorow and i can seem to find my daughters birth certificate. ugh.... i dont know what to do.... I am being as patient as possible and I am using all my energy to stay positive but my gut is telling me that she isnt coming back....
