Update : For going to this office I lost $3,500 (they didn't add my credits) plus what I paid to them. Armando doesn't return calls, has acted very unprofessional and even after acknowledging their error they refused to refund what I paid to them let alone the $3500 that I lost.
If you come to this office you are on your own risk.

This is not a trustworthy place, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I've been trying for two days to speak with Armando and he has ignored my calls.
I came here last year to file my 2021 taxes, but the person who helped me, Mungunzaya, seemed inexperienced. We had five to six 1099s and W2s and had lived in two different states. We were also first-time homeowners, graduate students, etc.
She offered no guidance on deductions for 1099, house, etc - NOTHING - I kept mentioning deductions, laws, etc. but she was clueless about them. This subpar service wasn't cheap. They charged me more than $600.
This year, I decided to do it myself. Reviewing the federal credits for students, I noticed last year I didn't have to pay $1000 on federal taxes since there's a nonrefundable lifetime learning credit of up to $2000 YEARLY.
Mungazaya didn't apply it to my taxes nor mention it. I also see errors in the child tax credit she assumed we had gotten the credit in advance without asking?.
I wonder what else is wrong? But, Armando has gone AWOL.
I've been calling, and no other supervisor has called me back. The receptionist Macayia? laughed at me when I mentioned the credit and acted very irrationally. Not the place I was looking for. I'd say go to a CPA if it is not a plain W2. Otherwise, this is not the place.

Just like the name, Top Tax is indeed at the top of my list for tax filing. They have been in the business for years and have very good reputation in the DMV area. Alex is very professional and knowledgeable about taxation. His customer service along with his attention to detail is outstanding. He always takes his time to go over any questions or concern I have. Alex suggests and looks for ways to maximize all the tax benefits that apply to me. I am very very satisfied with the service I have been getting from Top Tax. I highly recommend them.

GRATITUDE! Where do I start? When I first contacted Mr. Collins I was a mess, I had received a call from my managing broker the day before stating that my Real Estate license had been suspended and I could no longer conduct Real Estate Related Activity. I needed to review the document sent and resolve the problem A S A P, mind you the document sent was from the DDFPR stating that AI had 60 days from the date sent Oct to resolve an issue with I.D.R. for State Taxes. The amount was 10 thousand plus some change. That had grown to a Whopping 17.000 since 2014 from the sale of my two Flat, but wait there’s more. I had received the document on December 8th, 62 days later, and two days too late! That's when my fiancé and I started our search and found Mr. Collins and his team online, from the first contact with Taylor to how fast Mr. Collins got back to me I was impressed. Mr. Collins was calm and cool, reassuring me that everything would be ok. He gathered all my information and the very next day had a game plan with an email that ended with a quote…An object in motion… Newton…He was hired and never stopped. After his research, we found that I had more issues, taxes needed to be filed back to 2008….Yep!I f'ed up! But Mr collins referred me to his C.P.A., Jeff Chang, knocked out all my taxes and stayed in motion, Mind you, this all happened at the peak of Holiday Season. Christmas, New Years. The I R S was on vacay and I was eager to clear this up and inpatient but Mr. Collins Shavonne and Taylor answered every email, call, and question reassuring, me every step of the way, that they were making progress, but there is a process….Needless to say, four and a half weeks later my license was reinstated a T R O was issued to stop any further fees or collections from the I R S and State. My story continues, but I’m positive the outcome will be the same and can’t thank Mr. Collins and his team enough. May the days before you be as blessed as they have made mine.
