The process was easy and all my questions were answered. I was guided throughout the whole recruiting process. I would recommend this station to anyone.
The recruiters are so friend and they treated me well . I really enjoy my times with them .
They will make you feel like family with the recruiter and people who sign up with the army
i had the best recruiter experience. SSG Ovalle help make my process as smooth as possible and gave me all the information i needed to feel comfortable with the army. Everyone in the office also helped giving me information about the different jobs the army offer and how to excel once im fully in. The best recruiting office in my opinion !
I walked by the kiosk on Fordham and saw around 30 pens baking in the sun. I took two, the silver pen I planned to gift to a Navy Vet. I know.
I was ran down by the recruiter while I was in traffic, he demanded he get his pen back. In short,The Army needs to stop giving men who are fresh off Tour with untreated PSTD, access to the public. If the pens and pamphlets aren’t free, put up some signage. You don’t bait people and then trap them! That one pen at our reception desk would have done more for your cause than the gorilla antics. This was a truly disappointing. I hope others have a better experience.
SSgt. Hall is a professional, knowledgeable, and is always willing to get recruits get their foot in the door to serve the world’s greatest Air Force!
I've always had an interest in joining the army, and when I finally decided to pursue this path, I had the pleasure of working with SSG Ovalle. She was incredibly supportive and efficient in guiding me through the recruitment process. Her dedication and professionalism made the entire experience seamless and reassuring. Thanks to her assistance, I am now ready to embark on this new chapter in my life, fully prepared for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
Hands down best recruiting office in NYC, i couldn’t have asked for a better experience!! They tell you everything you need to know, answer any questions, and daily check ins which is very professional. Definitely 10/10 for all the Sgt’s working there
I recommend this recruitment station to everyone because they are very attentive, very professional the staff sergeant ovalle held my hand from the beginning until now and I am very grateful to her service, her commitment and her time that she made available to me to support me in this process, I really recommend her. Thank you SSG OVALLE
Technical Sergeant Borg was paramount to my entry into the greatest Air Force on the planet. The process was smooth and he was flexible to the timelines I had to follow.
Since I am not able to give zero stars I’m giving a one to write this review and even that is generous for the treatment given at the ID card center here. Not my first encounter with the lady who works there regularly but she could give the DMV a run for their money. She makes getting ID cards for service members and spouses an overwhelming process every single time. She is extremely rude, unpleasant, and very difficult to work with or get something simple done. Everyone that seems to work there has a similar opinion about the lady. I would expect the Marine Corps to hire the most professional of people, but this lady is quite the opposite and it gives the Marines there a bad rep. I am not sure if there can be anything done here, but I am appalled by the audacity of the lady there.
The staff here is really nice and help me to get my problem done really fast.
I originally started my Air Force journey at a different recruiting office some years ago but ultimately didn’t join. Some time had passed and this office thankfully opened up closer to my house. I was assigned to TSgt. Smith who helped me with everything I needed and made the experience seamless. I did have to lose some weight and get a waiver approved but she worked hard with me to achieve what I needed to get thru! During the process she did have to go on leave and I had to switch over to TSgt. Borg in her absence. TSgt smith had done most of everything and was so organized Sgt. Borg was easily able to finish out my process and sent me off to basic training back in November 2023. I am now done with basic and tech school and had came back home for the Recruiters Assistance Program. Helping around the office and getting to speak with potential applicants with the Sergeants have been a great experience and I was happy to come back and help plus getting to spend some extra time at home. During RAP, alongside their other recruiter TSgt. Rose, they’ve been nothing but more helpful as I start my career in the AF by giving me the best advice. I really owe a lot to this office as their guidance and words of encouragement, as someone joining later in age than most applicants at 28, are what helped me to really push thru the obstacles to get where I wanted to be. Such an amazing team!
Razna was very kind and helped me get my cac card quickly
I have plenty of good words and all praise for TSgt Smith. Two of my girls went through with her with no hassles. My youngest was medically separated due to a condition we didn’t even knew existed. I have read a few post and articles about how hard it is to go back after being separated especially with medical condition. It’s a lengthy process getting medical waiver. But TSgt Smith has promised to help my daughter until she got back. Thankfully, my daughter has recently finish her tech school and is heading to Japan in a few days. All that in less than a year of my daughter’s first separation. TSgt Smith is your best person if you need to serve the USAF.
Razna was very thorough
and efficient with processing my government credentials. Highly recommended.
Razna made this experience as painless as possible. I’ve been to other sites, and this was smooth compared to the other.
If I was able to give negative stars, I would. It is rare that I write reviews but needed to on behalf of myself and my family, in hopes that someone at that office will fire the ID admin, Razna, immediately (which probably won’t happen because they almost never read complaints). It is funny because I learned on the day of my appointment after speaking to several people that NO ONE there likes her and doesn’t want to deal with her. I feel bad for her family and friends (if she even has any) or really, anyone that knows her because they have to deal with her disrespect, ignorance, & nasty attitude on a daily basis. I would continue, but it would not be appropriate for Google and importantly, I don’t want to stoop to her level. It is even more funny that the 5 star reviews on here are all from men, and the lower stars are from women, says a lot about her character and is very sad.
My mother, sister, and I moved to Long Island a couple years ago and needed to renew our IDs. We all had separate appointments on different days. My mother and sister are on Humana and I am on the Tricare young adult plan. My mother went to her appointment and was greeted and spoken to by this awful woman in a dry and miserable way. She was able to get her new ID BUT when she took another look in her car, she saw that due to this woman’s stupidity and lack of attentiveness, put my sister’s name and information with my mothers picture. She went back in to correct the issue, and Razna blamed it on the system and said that my sister is listed as the spouse of the sponsor (my father) and my mother being listed as the child. This was a blatant lie and simply, a lack of attention, because on the day of my appointment and after my terrible experience with this woman, a Tricare rep happened to be there and after helping me, showed me that the information in the database was correct and this was a mistake on her part, but clearly she was too proud and egotistical to admit her mistake. Even if the information was wrong in the system, she could have seen the information on my Mom’s expired ID, but apparently didn’t take one look at it or the other forms of ID she brought.
On the day of my appointment, I had my two forms of ID but not the form signed by my sponsor, as my sponsor is deceased. I explained this to her and let her know that I can show her any other details/information and can call my mother for any other necessary information. She then asked me if I had proof of being a student, but I explained to her that I have already graduated and that i’m on the young adult plan and have been for the past 2.5 years, paying monthly. She right away said that “I have no insurance and that I am not listening to what she is saying.” I TRIED being patient and calm, but I cannot deal with being talked down to, especially by someone who is beyond ignorant and disrespectful doing so. On top of this, she invited another couple needing ID’s in the room while she is speaking to me this way, so they witnessed our conversation.
She told me she would send her supervisor out to me, but sent a security guard instead, probably hoping that he would escort me out. I explained to him my situation and instead of being like her, he was SUPER nice and ACTUALLY helped me get the information I needed by asking around and directed me to the Tricare rep that happened to be there during the time of my appointment. I found out that I did not need a physical ID for my plan and with one look at the Tricare fact sheet online or even a simple Google search, this woman would have known the eligibility requirements and the further steps to take to accommodate me.
So, if you got this far, I would suggest to go to a different office EVEN if it is a longer drive so you don’t have to deal with stupidity, lack of attentiveness, and making an already annoying process the most miserable experience. This woman should not be working with veterans and their families and really, any humans or living creatures.
During my time getting recruited into the Air Force, I worked with TSgt Smith and TSgt Borg, both of them were very professional and respectful and helped me decide on what job I want and helped me with my process of entering the Air Force. I then went to Basic Training and Tech School, then came back for Recruiters Assistance Program. During this time I worked with TSgt Borg, TSgt Smith, TSgt Rose and 2LT Mangels. I was allowed to help them recruit people into the Air Force and answer any questions people may have about BMT, Tech School, and Cyber career fields. It was a pleasant experience overall.
The lady at the ID office is very unprofessional and very rude. Even with an appointment she was refusing to take me. I had to get my supervisor involved in order to get assistance. All they had to be done was unlock the card which would have taken less than 5 minutes. I would avoid going here because she lacks customer service skills- terrible.
My recruiter was TSgt Borg, my process to join was incredibly easy thanks to him. He is an amazing recruiter and is an effective communicator. When I came back for RAP, I was able to connect with TSgt Rose and TSgt Smith, even though neither of them were my recruiter, they have been great.
My recruiter and mentor throughout my enlistment process was TSgt. Borg. He not only supported me during the lengthy process, but helped me get my dream job as well. I have been in for 7 months and recently returned home through the RAP program and I can clearly see that he, as well as TSgt. Smith and TSgt. Rose, are continuing to guide and shape future Airmen and Guardians even before reaching BMT.

"The guard at the entrance was
absolutely nice and helpful, but the lady who makes the ID is so disrespectful and mean. I called because I couldn't find the place and didn't know if I was in the right location. She said, 'Miss is ...' I couldn't understand what she was saying. When I tried to describe the place, she told me to figure it out. When I went in, she told me I should have known something that wasn't in the email or the link that will not open. She didn't help me with a single thing. I tried not to react, but I ended up crying, and the guy outside had to talk to me to help calm me down. I hope I never have to come here again. She doesn't know how to treat people properly." I always try to see the best in people but there's nothing good in here.
TSgt Chris Runyon is great with answering all questions and making time for people interested or curious about the Air Force. He is great at communicating all aspects of the process of enlisting. He was able to make the process simple and easy to navigate.
I had a really good experience with TSgt Christopher Runyon he made me feel welcomed, he took the time to get to know me as a person a little bit which helped him understand why/how much I wanted to join the US Air Force, thank you so much TSgt Runyon
Air Force Recruiter at this office was very helpful through the whole process and made me ready for enlistment. Very supportive and informative.
TSgt Runyon is a Great Recruiter who helped with the entire process and help assist with any questions. Highly recommend TSgt Runyon to anyone who wants to join the Air Force.
I came to the office in August to start my journey into joining the Air Force and TSgt Runyon helped with the entire process I officially left on January 3,2023 and I’m back now in July 2023 to do RAP and help assist with any questions people may have in knowing what the military life is like for me. This was the best decision I made for me and my daughter.
My recruiter was TSgt Borg during my process of joining the Air Force. From my own experience, he did a great job helping me through the process. He was honest from the beginning and was consistent in his efforts of getting me information and where I needed to be. He was also just a nice person in general. He kept his professionalism but never failed to make me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. I didn’t doubt or question anything or any information giving to me. Sergeant Borg really did his best and I only have good things to say regarding my recruiting process.
SFC Banks is a people-first recruiter who works diligently to ensure that new candidates are well-informed prior to entering the service. Many of her recruits have gone on to do exceptionally well in the United States Army. She is well-versed, professional, and very knowledgeable, and a leader to communicate with if you want to join the military.
Best recruiters in the Columbia area!
Active Duty steer clear. We are not welcome here. I can die for my country, but here I am the enemy. Do not waste your time.
TSGT. Rose was incredibly effective, efficient, and downright extraordinary when it came to my process. Even now with 2 months until my start at basic training, she keeps me up to date with developments and events I can participate in. If you have heard the same horror stories about terrible recruiters for the military, you won’t experience that with her. After meeting other enlistees and hearing how their recruiters treat them, I felt and still feel absolutely blessed to have her help. Aim High!
This is the best recruiting station to go to if you wanna join the army especially if you want to get in fast. Not only did I have one recruiter worker with me add two . Not to mention there were two more recruiters who were helping me with my decision as far as it came to choosing a job. Not once did they pressure me to choose a job just to get in they let me make the decision without any pressure just guidance. One of the recruiters even went as far as helping me get something cleared up that was preventing me from joining. Everyone in this recruiting station literally goes above and beyond to make sure that every person that comes to them gets exactly what they want. I cannot thank them enough for the position they have put me in and how fast they got me in and how dedicated they were to making my dream of being in the army come true. I would recommend this recruiting station to everyone if you wanna join the army this is the recruiting station to go to
I reached out to this recruiting team December 2020, immediately I became family with this team! It was a very easy process from start to finish. Began with reaching out and spoke with my recruiter about my interest in joining and less than 2 weeks I was off to take my asvab, and go through the process of picking my job with the Army. I had the help of a few recruiters inside this building with choosing the MOS I am now in today. Not once was I ever pressured or have they “typical rude” experience you hear about. Michael Commander, and Thomas West were two individuals that helped me and I honestly couldn’t have dreamed of a better team to assist me. We signed everything, and as of TODAY I am 1 year into my contract. If you’re wanting to join the US Army and be apart of this One Team One FIGHT and you’re in the South Carolina area, PLEASE do not hesitate to call these recruiters. They went out of their way to let me bother them any time of day, even when I had “stupid” questions, which were replied with “no question is a stupid question especially when it comes to your career”. If I could choose more stars I would! 🙌
Accompanied my son to look at career options. All of the recruiters in the office were knowledgeable, helpful, and answered all our questions. My son is sold on joining the Army over the other services. Not going to waste our time talking to the Navy.
This station has some of the best NCO's and mentors that the Army can bring to the table. SFC West made my experience a very smooth process and was very upfront about everything. GO ARMY
SFC West was so professional, he really cared about me as a person not like the other branches. He was super informed about everything and showed me the facts on paper! I highly recommend
Very knowledgeable group of career counselors who have your best interest in mind. Very involved in the community and always willing to assist with your future. You owe it to yourself to stop by and see what they can do for you.
Super professional group of Soldiers who can explain all benefits of military service from active duty to ranger options, officer programs, and reserve options. Keep it up Team!
Great facility conveniently located in the village of Sandhills.
Went through the office recently, and It was the best decision I could make! TSgt. Kimble was really helpful and genuinely cared about the people who walked into his office. Spending much of his free time and off days to help those wanting to join. If your considering a career in the U.S. Air Force, then this is the best place to start.
I went through the recruiting office about a year ago and now I can gladly say I’m in the Air Force! Thanks to Sgt Kimble. He helped me with getting the job I wanted. Answered all my questions and was knowledgeable about the Air Force and what it had to offer. If you are curious or interested in becoming part of the worlds greatest Air Force don’t hesitate to stop by or give Sgt Kimble a call!
The recruiters are all great and super informative. My path has been thoroughly outlined, and any time I have questions my recruiter answers promptly. 100% recommend, even if you're unsure about joining.
Great.... They're all very nice people
