Everyone I interacted with here was helpful, friendly, and professional. Jun Mezilus was my recruiter and he answered every question and concerns I had. The whole process went smoothly thanks to him. Definitely the place to go if you’re interested in enlisting or if you’re just curious about the Army.

SFC Mezilus helped me enlist with the MOS I wanted quickly and efficiently, without any extra steps. The NCOIC, SFC Gonzalez is an amazing role model for service members and recruits: mentally, physically, and as a leader. Seriously, he’s absolutely yoked.

Just completed 2 days here. The process is designed how it is because it works, I have no complaints or problems. Hotel was nice, food was better than I expected, people were great! When you go to meps you are essentially going through a job interview to work for the United States government. It’s a long process and will get boring at some points but making friends and talking will make it 10 times easier and better! Definitely made some great memories and had fun!

Great service & hospitality everyone was very helpful i had an overall great experience.Ms.Riviera was very kind at the front desk helping me with direction.The medical team upstairs and Ms. Lisa was very helpful and officiant as well. Also SFC Chestnut who was very helpful giving out a lot of great information about recruiting and all things military she & everyone made me feel very comfortable 10/10.

If you have common sense and good home training, you'll be fine and have a successful visit. Show some respect to the men and women working here because they deal with the same issues every day. You're not the only one there to do a process so sit down and be patient. KNOCK before you open someone's door... That is all.

If you want to join the military this is definitely the place to go. Sergeant Santiago is an amazing person and will help and guide you throughout the whole process. It was a pleasure to work with him. I initially just entered to ask about the possibility of joining and 2 months later here I am ready to be shipped for BCT. The first time I went into the recruiting office in Times Square was like 7 months ago and since then I have been working with SFC Santiago and SFC ross-Hagar there a lot of setbacks in my enlistment process but no matter what I had going on or mistakes I made they never gave up and after 7 long months working with me I finally enlisted yesterday with my dream job and location I owe everything to them. They never gave up and we’re always 100 percent honest with me and helped me day in day out now I ship out the 23rd and get to go to Hawaii for my first duty station. Not a lot of people come around, but they should. The recruiters here right now go through the effort to help you find a career opportunity that suits you, so long as you show respect and genuine interest.

It went well for me, the process was worked around my individual pre-existing plans, and there was never any pressure any which way into any position, more so opportunities were discussed, but at the end of the day, I wanted to do Aviation, qualified for it, and even though the job wasn’t available right away, I was helped and scheduled to begin once it was available and reserved for me.

Just be awake, bring all the information you can help with and be helped with, and everything will go smoothly. The guys here are particularly themselves, not a forceful atmosphere whatsoever. They even drove me to and from MEPs, and celebrate among themselves when things go well.

I would like to say sergeant Santiago and sergeant Ross have made my enlistment process as easy as it can be. They were very friendly and welcoming and always made me feel like I was important. Everything was explained thoroughly so I had an understanding of what the process would be and we were able to go through many jobs and get me the ideal one for me.

I initially came to the recruitment center to speak with the Air Force recruiter but no one was there, instead I met Sergeant Ross-Hagar. He clearly communicated the requirements to join the Army Reserves and was very helpful every step of the way. He was very honest and straightforward when explaining the process and job opportunities. I enjoy working with both Sergeant Ross-Hagar and Sergeant Santiago, they are both very friendly, honest, and easy to get along with.

Worst Meps station. I had a very bad experience with a supervisor who treated me differently from other applicants. She really don't give me a good impression about the army process and she acting like she want to push you out of the army.

Let me start off by saying that sergeant Santiago is one of the best recruiters I’ve spoken to. I originally went to talk to the Air Force recruiter in Times Square but I wasn’t lucky enough to find them there. He then asked me if I wanted to see my options in the army. So I gave it a shot and saw the amount of job opportunities I have with the US Army. Not only did he provided me with a bunch of job opportunities but he as well provided me with information of benefits I have joining the US Army. Throughout the whole time he was honest and clear with the future I have with the US Army. Most recruiters wouldn’t show the same level amount of importance as sergeant Santiago shows you towards completing your enlistment process. He is there alongside from the beginning of your enlistment process and furthermore.

Long, boring, exhausting- what to expect in 3 words.

But in the end you’ll be glad it’s over with and one step closer to becoming a member of our military. Keep your head down, walk with a purpose, LISTEN TO DIRECTIONS, and don’t give attitude. Yes sir/ma’am or no sir/ma’am. The food is trash and your gonna get yelled at but your joining the military. You’re not gonna be treated like a child so don’t expect to be hand held through the process. Get used to it snowflakes.

She was my recruiter and what I loved the most was the fact that she took care of my in every possible way, she explained me every step of the process, and explained how basic was going to be, that absolutely made my basic training experience much more easier. Once I got to my unit my transition was also smooth, thanks to all the knowledge I acquired from Staff Sargent Banks!

Joining the NY Guard was the best decision I ever made in my life, greatest experience and countless opportunities. SSG Banks worked with me through it all and she’s the best recruiter I can honestly say there is. Everyone says your recruiter lies to you, but that’s one thing she never did. She’s always on top of her game,to get everything done to ensure your safe spot upon entering the Guard. She never failed me and I would always thank her for all her hard work and continuous support. SSG banks is the outmost best recruiter there is!

THE RECRUITERS IN THIS OFFICE ARE UNPROFESSIONAL, PUSHY & BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE SUPERIOR TO OTHER MILITARY BRANCHES AND ITS PERSONNEL.
I walked into this office accidentally and asked to speak with a Navy recruiter, the person told me the proper office is next door but then asked “do you know how to swim?” I responded no and the recruiters in the office began to laugh, however they suggested that I come back after my Navy recruiter meeting. I did go back for basic information mainly because I knew very little of the National Guard; as soon as I walked in the office the same recruiter said out loud “so you figured out you can’t swim?” And everyone began laughing, knowing that I was in the office for simple information, these recruiters were very pushy and forceful; overall unprofessional and not a good representation of the US military at all. I went in seeking information and left with a scheduled ASVAB date, when I requested to cancel the test, I was transferred to Srgt. Hernandez who apparently is the manager, I assumed he would hear my complaints and address them with his team due to its risk of losing out on potential recruits however he got very upset and ended up hanging up the phone on me. This office seems to believe that the National Guard is superior to other military branches which simply is not the case.

You get to connect with everyone, and everyone feels welcomed. Sgt Pazmino, Sgt Jennings and Sgt Boyd are the best of the best.

The food is spectacular and for a reasonable price of 50 dollars at least. This is the perfect venue for a food expo of this size and caliber. I couldn't be any happier coming here and hope that everyone experience this at least once.
