Had a wonderful time there. Definitely the best croissant in Montevideo
This place has some of the tastiest, flakiest croissants I've ever had. We enjoyed the "deconstructed croissant" breakfast so much we came back the next morning to order it again (I'm vegetarian and they were able to prepare it without bacon, no problem). The staff is pleasant and efficient and the air conditioning inside is a nice relief from a hot day (or there is seating outside for those cooler days).

Used to be a very good french pastrie's bakery, somehow the quality of some of the pastries vary and lack consistency.
Lately the cinnamon rolls have been underbaked and not flakey the way they are supposed to be (and used to be).
Hopefully they will get back on track.
The croissants are still good, although a tad heavy handed on the fillings.

Compre 6 donas para llevar del local ubicado en Carlos Roxlo y 18 de Julio. Las dondas eran un detalle para mí amiga que cumple años... Pues resultó que estaban ácidas. Asimismo, la muchacha que me atendió, lo hizo un tanto prepotente. Primera vez que compro, no me agradó en absoluto.

Beautiful place .. quiet and warm. The queso crossiant was good. My friends ordered avocado toast. Avocado was pre made so it was little old. My crossiant was very soft.. just what i was looking for. The moccacino was good and capuchino were good. Strong and hot!!!!

Visualmente lindo, rápido con el servicio y al parecer higiénicos solamente que en los días de calor no tienen nada de aire o ventiladores para tener un mejor ambiente.
Los precios deberían ser más ajustados. En cuanto a los productos no tienen tanta variedad y las frutas que tienen en cartelera son poco conocidas para el público uruguayo, deberían tener más promociones, más alimentos sólidos para ofrecer.
Mejorar el diseño del 2do piso ya que solamente todo negro y un par de plantar no se decora un espacio.

Epic ! If you are from the usa Canada or Europe I would definitely recommend this place. I don't speak Spanish. The vibes are warm and the staff was very kind. They have the best espresso I had a double. I love this place it's definitely my new spot for espresso when in Centro !
To the guy that commented below. This isn't a cannabis shop it's a cafe huge dif . I have Asperger's and can tell when people judge me. When someone may be overweight they can feel the judgment also. It was likely why you were not treated with warm vibes. Often with judgment on ones weight , height or Neurological condition we know and will respond naturally matching the vibe that's what happened to you

Excellent selection of sweet baked goods, including a variety of filled/topped croissants, sweet rolls, budins, cake, cookies and scones, etc. There are savory dishes available on their menu —- Actually I ordered a croissant with melted brie and carmelized onions that was very good. They make great liquados — the strawberry blended with water and ice is more like a smoothie. Coffee here is supposed to be great, but I haven’t tried it yet. Limited indoor and outdoor seating — not really a table service place, primarily take away; but certainly 2 people can have a comfortable seated light meal/snack and beverage.
Good vibes for hours. Chess is available to play.

We came tu Uruguay looking for a Coffee Shop in the cannabis scene but we had a very unpleasant experience up here. We were so willing to enjoy the place but when we started to ask some questions to the cashier (a disgraceful big woman who looks annoyed) she couldn't answer our questions about the ingredients - the became very rude and mad. End up us leaving the place and feeling so disappointed...

Lots of tantalizing options here, especially with sweets. If I hadn’t needed brunch, I would’ve tried lots of sweets. But instead I did the salmon croissant, which was good, and for a sweet food the raspberry budin, also very good. The only somewhat disappointment was the iced caramel latte. I had seen a photo on Instagram before I came, and maybe I had to special request, but mine didn’t come with whipped cream. I think it would’ve helped make it a little sweeter and I would’ve enjoyed it more. I would try again in the hot version on a cold day (but too hot of weather these days).
But I still like the place. And the employees were helpful, even though I attended with a friend who has almost no Spanish and can make it a bit frustrating for the employees to communicate with her.
One more thing to note, the chairs we sat in were so comfy!

The woman working at this shop ripped us off intentionally. My friend and I are tourists and do not speak much Spanish. Beyond being stupid tourists, we both understand the exchange rate between USD and pesos Uruguayo. She charged me 300 pesos (about $7.50) for 3 short fuzzy pipe cleaners that should cost less than 50 cents total, retail. When I brought this to her attention, she insisted that the price was 300. We decided to let her keep the money in exchange for outing her publicly. We would have come back and spent a lot more money there over the weekend as it is a cool spot, but now, we will not be back.
In response to the owner's reply, 50 pesos ($1.25) is outrageously expensive for this pipe cleaner, and you charged us 100 pesos for each, not 50. Shame on me for not asking in advance how much this item cost, but shame on you for charging us extra.

Beautiful place to have coffee and merienda. Service is good and the ambience is excellent. Situated inside the Sinergia Life building.
Best spot in Montevideo! A must see! The people are amazing, the beers always on point, they have all the supplies you will need. Music events regularly, always awesome!

I’m definitely going to give them another try because as far as smoothies, I haven’t been disappointed. The taste and size for smoothies are fine.
I had a big problem with the crispy chicken sandwich though. I had seen it was on the menu many times, but never ordered until now, when I was starving and in a hurry. I love crispy chicken, so i had high expectations.
Even though in a hurry, I ate at the place. As soon as I bit into the chicken, I knew something was wrong. It still felt cold and when I inspected it, I discovered it was undercooked. I had to remove all the chicken and eat the sandwich without it. It was very sad, and the taste was boring without the chicken.
Before I left, I quickly told them and showed them the problem with the chicken. My Spanish isn’t the greatest, so understanding was difficult, but the problem apparently was with the sandwich press and they would fix the press. I was in a hurry to go, and it didn’t seem like I was going to be offered a refund or something for the inconvenience.

Excelente café! Muy buen ambiente, y muy buenos productos. Varios platos del menú no estaban, pero probamos varias cosas y son de muy buena calidad.
This was a nice little discovery for our family. Our two sons shared 1/2 dozen medialunas and LOVED them. They could have devoured a dozen. My husband had a traditional ham and cheese croissant while I had the caprese. Absolutely delicious. Small seating areas inside and out. Displays were filled with all kinds of tartas, pies, cakes and cookies. Can't wait to go back!

Buen jugo de manzana, zanahoria, naranja y jengibre. Capuchino suave. Buena atención. Lugar amplio dos plantas. La Planta superior sumamente espaciosa, tranquila y hermosa vista de la Avenida Principal y de la Iglesia. Lugar donde se conservan los árboles en la vereda. Y se aprecia la Iglesia del Cordón.( Nuestra Señora del Carmen la Mayor)

Es un rinconcito verde muy lindo para disfrutar una pausa con cosas ricas, entre una variedad de plantas y un ambiente muy cálido y luminoso. La atención es excelente, muy personalizada y amable. No utilizan plásticos y todo es natural y casero. La carta no es muy extensa, pero todo es tentador y delicioso. Sin dudas volveremos a seguir probando cosas ricas.
Hands down the best coffee shop in town. Amazing products, the staff is the most attentive and friendly, and the ambiance is the coolest. Will be back every time I get the chance.
One of the very best places in Punta Carretas to get fresh-baked medialunas, empandas, vegetable pies, ham and cheese sandwiches made with giant croissants, a variety of desserts, etc. Table service for customers ordering food and beverages in the back and front of the store, as well as an outdoor area in front. The store is usually bustling with activity, and the staff is very helpful and pleasant. They do a brisk take-away business --- medialunas fresh out of the oven at least twice per day, in the morning and afternoon; dessert items are often made in the afternoon. I've been a customer for over 10 years --- never disappointed. Prices are a bit higher than other places in the neighborhood, but you are paying for quality.

Las donas son deliciosas. La atención es muy cordial. El local es chico, de todas formas se puede comer ahí, pero es más bien un local de take away.

We had a bagel with ham, cheese and tomato. It was delicous. The bagel was very fresh, easy to bite into and really good. We had a coffee as well (americano) very good served in a slightly smaller cup than home but perfectly sized for Uraguay. I chased this with two little cookies. Tasted like shortbread with dulces filling (like a carmel only thicker) home made that morning, very tastey. We will go back tommorow as while we were there we saw some crousants we want to try. Their English was better than my spanish, thankfully, we had this great breakfast.

Also a bonus is that all the food is healthy orientated so if you are looking for something light but great for lunch this is highly recommended.
As a foreigner it is really appealing that they not only accept USD payment but also most debit and credit cards INCLUDING American Express, which to be honest is difficult to find around the smaller coffee shops in south america.
Staff is also able to communicate in English, for those who speak english, and for those who don't the staff really makes their best effort to help them.
Really close to the cruise terminal and the port market, this coffee shop is a must visit place to relax :)
