Incredible service and delicious food. Their team went above and beyond to make my dad's birthday special, especially Sam Grace and Paolo. Iron Steak has always been one of my favorite spots and their top tier service is what sets them apart. Five stars all around

Visited here for the first time in many years and had such a blast. The cocktails were amazing as always, the popcorn chicken bites and fries were delicious and we also scored happy hour deals! My friend and I had a great time and some good chats with the guys working there. Will be back very soon.
Amazing place but Just be warned they add gratitude without your knowledge, even if you buy drinks from the bar and they don’t need a tip and the bartenders normally chose the most expensive drinks so that their gratitude is very high. Other than that great music and great songs

Good food. Breakfast is AMAZING!!!! So are most of their pasta dishes such as the steak pasta, tomato pasta as can be both seen in my attached photos. Food is always warm and fresh. Good flavours. Definitely get a takeaway or pop into the restaurant. Well packed items when you order on Uber Eats.

Headed here for a steak and a decent glass of SA red and it didn’t disappoint. Many cuts to choose from but I stuck with the ‘flat iron’ which the waiter explained was historically a lesser popular cut of meat that the English ate during their recession. It wasn’t as tough as I thought it would be but would probably order from the cuts board next time. Green pepper sauce was good and spicy, the cauliflower cheese mouth watering. No criticisms from me but a couple of observations: the ice cream casino chip doesn’t really work, why not just ask me if I want an ice cream now? I would have said yes, now I’ve got a chip in my bag which won’t be used. It would be helpful to have at least one sentence descriptors of each of the wines, listing only the label doesn’t help make an informed choice. Service was terrific, decor very stylish and a nice ambience.
The is a female staff at this place that so helpful, my phone when off and she help book uber for me from her phone. Additionally the food was so perfect , I will gladly go back .

Always packed, no parking because of the number of people, high crime, lawless, it's really a stressful one, fights and all the chaos you may think of.
We celebrated our Valentines there and from walking in I felt unwelcome. The only person who was welcoming was Simi. The Dj was on point and on fire. Walk in customers were given very uncomfortable tables while there was so many empty tables. I was also given a very uncomfortable table and I refused and showed them the one I wanted and I had asked if it was reserved and Yes it was not reserved so I don't understand why they were keeping those nicer comfortable tables rather than choosing to loose customers because of not being satisfied with table and sitting arrangements. I literally saw 2 customers walk out because of not being happy with the table given. We waited for the food for the longest time for it to arrive cold and we ordered 3 different sets of food as we were 3 and only 2 meals arrived and no explanation to that they will be a delay on the 3rd meal. We waited until we started eating it was only when we were finished eating the 3rd meal arrived and when we asked Simi why did the food take so long to come he explained that it's the kitchen that is delaying and his working under pressure attending to other customers complaints. Please train your staff to communicate amongst each other and aswell with customers if there is a delay we were supposed to be told and those two meals shouldn't have been brought if the 3rd was not ready. The food we received was very disappointing the Alfredo was extremely salty and tasteless the half chicken tasted like it was old chicken and had no flavour. I ordered peri peri but there was no taste that was convincing me that is peri peri. Horrible service I would not lie the only thing we enjoyed was the music and the drinks. 3/10
I come to Souk every first Thursday of the month and have never been disappointed. With the current balcony renovations, they have managed to accommodate all their patrons in the same space without causing much of a hassle separating the smokers from non-smokers. Their staff is accommodating and will give you the best service experience a night-club has to offer.

Discovered this place whilst searching online. The staff were very helpful, the food fantastic and the wine delicious. Well worth the visit! We parked in the hotel underground parking and used the lift to the bar space. I was so distracted that I forgot to take pictures of the food 🤣

Bouncers and waiters in this place will make sure you don't feel welcomed, they label and profile you from when you try to get in, to when you are inside, smoking inside is allowed, but it depends who you are. If according them you look like a nobody, expect substandard treatment.
Steak was tasty and prices not bad. However, based on the reviews we expected better service. Knowing what a good cape town steakhouse can be, this was sort of a cheap and cheerful version for students. Our server was enthusiastic but unprofessional and sloppy. We had to repeat our order a few times and he botched a wine bottle opening and didn't follow-up with an apology. Overall not somewhere I'd return.

Whether you'd like to show your gran that magic exists in cocktail form, have a dance and get a tattoo at the same time, or plain just want to be in good company - I'd 100% recommend that you put Fable on your "must-visit" list!

The selection of food was incredible, as was the food! A very different vibe to a standard restaurant as there are so many to choose from. We will be back.
My waitress had an incredibly bad attitude when I complained about my cocktail being incomplete and the manager refused to acknowledge that my cocktail was served in a dirty glass. The bottom of the glass had oily residue and was sticky, he attempted to make a mockery of me to his staff but fortunately one of the waitresses gave me a new clean glass to transfer to drink to. Wouldn’t recommend this place to an energy, worse service I’ve encountered yet.
This is a higher end steakhouse that we decided to splurge on for dinner. We were seated without a wait. Our server Fikaswa was friendly and knowledgeable. The complimentary popcorn was a hit with the husband. Everything is ordered alacarte. Your meat, sides, sauces... This seems like it just stacks the bill. R49 for each sauce... Everything was cooked well and tasted great. We thought it seemed somewhat overpriced in the end. The complimentary ice cream cone on your way out is cute though. Salted caramel ice cream👍👍
Decided to head on over to Fable to catch-up over a few drinks. Service was really great, the lady kept checking to ensure our drinks were fine or if a top-up was needed. Ambience is really relaxed and casual too. Would definitely return with a bigger crew for a good evening over a few cocktails
We had a family celebration here and it was a lovely venue. Our waiter was amazing 😍 he was very helpful and friendly. He brought the kids' food first because my son was getting hungry. I ordered my steak medium-well and should probably have ordered medium as this is recommended. The Wagyu burgers were amazing. I enjoyed the ice cream and the popcorn.

What a great bar! I accidentally came across this bar!! The tequila are the best! The bartender are so good. Jeancy .. and gave me some good tips!! I'm definitely coming back for salsa 💃🏻 night!! A must pitstop !! Oh and they have great beers for all of my American beer lovers !!

A really outstanding venue. We had our company year end function and they really went above and beyond in all respects. The food was so delicious, the bar kept pumping out drinks to ensure the over 100+ people remained happy. I will definitely be coming back here. Thank you Legacy yard

Went midweek and quite late so was pretty quiet. But the cocktails were very unique! I’ve never been handcuffed to a cocktail before. Would definitely recommend. Coming from London, the cocktails were dirt cheap but slightly on the pricier side for Cape Town. I think the higher prices are justified by the innovation though.

We had such a good time at Souk. I will tell you all the good and then give you the reason for the low rating. The waitresses were very attentive and tried their best to make sure we had every and anything we needed. The food was very good. And the drinks kept coming. At the end of the night I felt like we were targeted as Americans because my friend who was with me was pick pocketed for her Iphone. They ended up putting everyone out the club because it was closing time without any help to find her phone. Americans please be careful.

Might be one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. Although simple and unpretentious - eggs classics, it is close to perfect. The bread is fresh out of the oven, thick cut with so much flavour, soft with crunchy crust easy to cut through... The bagels, also fresh out of the oven, are just amazing.

The place e is beautiful, though it can do with some touch ups,coz their tables are flimsy, we changed 3 times thinking we could get a stable table.

This spot in Cape Town is truly one of my favourites for coffee. It has a fantastic ambience and cosy seating, making it perfect for students and laptop users. I wholeheartedly recommend it. My go-to drinks are Americano and V60, and they're delicious. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. I had the pleasure of meeting Fiki, one of the staff members, and we instantly became friends. Her professionalism stood out as she guided me through some excellent coffee grinder options to buy for home use.
The service was terrible! When we arrived the hostess said all tables are reserved so we went to the bar. We waited over an hour to place our order. One bartender refused to assist us and told us it's not his section of the bar. The ribs were delicious.
Stunning view on either side of this stunning place. The atmosphere was relaxed and tastefully furnished. We had the flat bread with Durban curry and jalapeño as well as the tempura prawns as a starter. It was really good. Never had curry on flat bread yet so that was quite a lovely surprise. We each had steaks for lunch. Requested the steak be rare which it was. I was extremely pleased with that. All in all a lovely afternoon with awesome company and good food.
Lovely place to just relax. The only problem is you can't have a bill and have to pay for each round of drinks and a separate bill for the food. Would be so much better if you didn't have to pay each time.

I celebrated my 40th at Fable and wow what an experience. Cocktails and the glitter shots were beautifully crafted. Service was on point and the music was old school hiphop which I love. Great dj. Theres such passion and love put in every drink which is sometimes lacking in some bars. Highly recommend and the cocktails take you on a journey plus they change them too which adds to the excitement.

Possibly one of the best views in Umhlanga. Good selection of drinks that are well priced with a great ambiance. Service was good and friendly. It does get very windy up there though.
Great place to have coffee. Vibes are amazing. Had a coffee and croissant while I was in the area. Service was quick, food was good. An incentive to visit again with a bigger group. Would recommend to all caffeine lovers
Edit: Went there again on a morning last weekend, ground floor for busy hence made myself comfortable on the first floor table which also is a workplace for the roasters, packaging staff etc. Tried their Vaccum pour V60/64 which smelled strong but tasted mild with mostly fruity notes, I loved it and it is something that two people can easily share. Also had plain omelet with sourdough bread, it was one of the most delicious breakfast I had, not sure what went into the preparation for the Omelet but I would definitely recommend you try it whenever you're here for breakfast. Again a wonderful experience, I'm revising my rating from 4 to 5 stars as it has been an overall amazing experience in the couple of visits I've been here.

The coffee is absolutely amazing. The service is top notch, the staff is very friendly! The vibe is out of this world. An amazing space. The coffee is good, i wasnt too impressed with the food. I'd definitely go there for drinks though.
Lovely drinks and amazing atmosphere indoor and outdoor seating. Modern decor and great service. Clean ablution facilities and given warm, clean throws when it gets cold which is such good attention to detail.

Good coffee, amazing breakfast and brunch. I tried several things, they were all so good! My favorite so far were the Turkish eggs, but the Shakshuka and the omelette are also very good. I love the location and the staff, always so kind!

Shakers has always been good to me. Sundays are the best as they provide the best experience in terms of music and entertainment (the people are pretty and dance all night long). It is LGBT friendly and we love them for that.
I haven’t been there since they renovated it. As a result I decided to visit it on the 31st. Well it was as fun as before. More spacious with good looking people and great music. The alcohol is just well priced and service is nothing to complain about. Seems like they got more staff to handle the increased traffic.
Now we have to talk about the scamming that happens there. The waiters include their tips on your bill without telling you. If your total costs of beer is R100 they add R10 or more without telling you. If alcohol is R35 and you buy two they make it R80. That’s daylight robbery. They know people don’t pay attention to that since it is busy. They should at least let the patrons know. Some are not gonna be so nice. I’m sure they are well off from the tips they give themselves. The toilets could also use with some cleaning. Maybe have someone who checks them regularly ? They are also small and the cubicles are not well spaced.
Side Note: Keep your phone with you all the time. If possible leave it in the car. They steal phones. Besides that, it’s a lovely place to go party and unwind. Sundays are the best.

Paid a visit on the recommendation of my daughter and was not disappointed!

Cool hang out spot in Durban. Clean. Good scenery and seating area. Lots of food options also available [not all halal] .
There's not much to do here though, besides eat. Once a month on the weekends there is some market but no consistency with the stores,shops are forever opening and closing. Also, in the parking area payment machines are mostly card based.

In terms of food i have few bad experiences but one thing for sure i addressed them snd they were rectified and that made me don’t hesitate to go back every now and then.
Food is good, service excellent value for money space is brilliant and kept clean and tidy. But for a meal you have regularly and when you return the portion is smaller than before didn’t really understand but all in all place is amazing and i will definitely go back for my favourite meal chicken burger.

Nice place to hang out. Pizza was good. Nice thin base. Music too loud for my liking. 3 Very high steps to get to the bathroom.... maybe not so safe especially it being a place where alcohol is consumed.
Great place with friendly staff. Place has affordable food and drinks, they need to improve their restrooms ... it was a nightmare, sink doesn't work, door handles were broken and if you were to find toilet paper it'd be on the floor.

Great venue, beautiful views. Poor poor service. They have a damn cheek to add their tip to the bill when the service is basically non existent. We basically had to go to the bar to meet our waiter to order a drink. Nobody cleans the tables either.
Absolutely unbelievable setting, with views of Umhlanga Rocks and of the coast towards Durban. Laidback vibe with lounge booths and chilled music. There is no view quite like this in Durban, definitely a must-see for anyone in and around 031. They also allow you to bring food from the various food stalls just downstairs.
Not as great as was expected. The hype about it was too great and unfortunately they didn’t live up to it. Bartenders weren’t the most friendly. Acted as if they were forced to be there. Didn’t have most of the drinks selections. Didn’t have any of the local beers we enjoy so we left to go to village. They should also think about cleaning the place. Overall it wasn’t the worst but there are things they should work on. Tried to book a table but they did not let us do that.
Great views and fantastic setting, clearly a lot of effort went into ensuring it would be a trendy place, as such it will likely end up becoming pretentious. Overall the beer selection was poor and an they had an annoying cashless system. They should probably start checking ID as there were quite a few youngsters up there who haven't yet seen a single facial hair.

I wish I could give this place a better rating because the atmosphere was fantastic and luckily made up for the long wait to be helped, and to get our drinks. The food was average. Hubby had the oxtail and enjoyed it thoroughly, I had the Lemon Chicken Breast in Quinoa which I felt could have had more flavour.
Friends invited me to meet up with them over at Shakers on a Saturday night. Not the best experience. It was so full I had people stepping on my toes several times, it was impossible to dance. Paid 50 bucks for entrance, music is great and loud, drinks are not too expensive, and there’s plenty of pretty ladies. Bouncers are rude though.
The bar is lit. It gives a great weekend experience. The VIP section, rooftop and bar is well structured and has class. The tables have enough space between them to allow dancing for "shakers" in the mood. They serve a wide variety of alcohol at reasonable prices. It's one of the hyped places in Maboneng
