Went there on 19 May 2024 as my Jordans were hurting me and I desperately wanted the Pierre Cardin chunky shoes in black. I love Pierre Cardin as they make my size, which is a 3. I also wear a 4/5 depending on the make.
Unfortunately the size 3 was unavailable and the closest size they had in black was a 4. They had a size 3 but in brown. Anyway I opted for the black, size 4.
Also got a Giovanni sneaker and an Unreal slip on sneaker which is super comfy and the size 4 fit.
The sales rep who assisted was really friendly and offered to take the tag off the shoes that I wanted to wear then and there.
They had several cute boots for winter but I already have plenty of boots lol.

This shop is an absolute mess! I’m so shocked… I walked in and no staff around to even assist, customers were all just helping themselves on their own, boxes piled around all over the floor with size 7s and 8s at the bottom. How are customers supposed to lift 8 boxes to see the shoes under?? Why is this place so disorderly? The prices look reasonable but there’s no way I’m shopping here if I have to do so much work just to see my size!
I always go here first when looking for shoes. Great selection. Whatever you need. Sport, sandals, court shoes or smart casual and very sexy. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Love it !!

Spent all day looking for shoes at Canal Walk and finally ended up at Shoe City. Walked in and immediately saw this gorgeous shoe. Perfect fit and the price was right.
Yesterday, I had asked a colleague to exchange 2 pairs of shoes for me at this branch. She didn't find my size, but came back armed with a long list of which branches I could get my sizes at. All thanks to Sheena. Later on I had spoken to Sheena again, mind you she went out of her way to call me and tell me that instead of me going from pillar to post looking for these shoes at different branches, she could just request that they get delivered to the Canal Walk branch. I didn't take her up on her offer, seeing that I found them online while I was speaking to her, but just how she went above and beyond, stuck with me and with such absolute professionalism and respect. Sheena, if no one has told you yet, you are amazing. Thank you for the amazing service and I sincerely hope you see this review and who you were assisting over the phone.

I just bought some items from this store. Have bought Billabong products for decades. The staff member operating the till didn’t even look at me while the transaction took place. She spoke to another staff member constantly. Not greeting me, not thanking me, not a word. Appalling service. Honestly, how hard can it be? Buy your billabong stuff online rather.
Love this shop and online retailer - I've been shopping with them both in-store and online for many years now. They have all the brands I love and I can't resist their end of season sales. I always pop into the store if I want to exchange or return something that I've ordered online. Staff are always eager to help and sort any issues out.

I regret not looking this company up before ordering. I ordered 3 items off the Boardriders website. literally later that same day i noticed an advert for the same items i had literally just purchased being advertised at a price 50% less than what i had just paid. I immediately snapshot the ads and mailed it to them asking them to explain it.
I received a reply from Jason saying "Good day, We are constantly updating our sale with new products to keep it fresh we are sorry for the inconvenience Your order has already been processed , unfortunately we cant do anything about it."
So clearly a push aside response. I was questioning their very questionable pricing tactics yet his response was relating to new products. I guess his sheet of paper with std excuses didn't cover my question.
Considering i received my order 3 days later i'm pretty sure they had time to do something about it.
I'll be reporting this to the consumer council for sure.

They don’t do refunds at all - rather buy elsewhere. What brand doesn’t do refunds these days??

Queenspark has the best clothing and shoes and the quality is excellent. Their new shoes have a lot of bling, so beautiful. Sale days are really good, just wish it was more frequent.

I keep getting SMS re sale items, so went in to look at specific item, not further reduced. spoke to one of the employees, mentioned that Some articles had not been reduced in six months.

“B” was amazing! She made my kids feel super cool. My son loves his DC high top sneakers and “B” made him feel like the coolest kid in the world! Your service was amazing and my kids still talk about the nice lady at the store, even though we didn’t get anything for my daughter her friendliness and charm won them over. Quick to take and deliver online orders. But absolutely useless if there is a problem with return...head office does not return emails ( 3 sent) their phone number is permanently switched to voice-mail ( 6 calls) and canal walk shop doesn't answer their phones ( 3 calls). So I am stuck with an item too small.

Visited Garden route mall Billabong on Friday . Great value , great quality.
The staff however are utterly useless and just totally disinterested.From the moment we walked in the energy was hostile and dismissive.

The online shop is shockingly BAD. Placed an order on 7 items, few days later received confirmation my order has shipped...Happy days?....Nope 2 days after that I received an email stating 3 x Items was removed. THAT'S ALMOST HALF MY ORDER. Yet when order was placed and paid immediately everything was in stock.
I went in this week to find bushings for my skateboard. I walked around, couldn't see anything obvious in the shop so I thought maybe they are behind the counter. One lady at the till who was occupied, two other staff members standing around - no assistance. I decided not to ask but to stand at behind the customer and wait at the pay station to ask there. The other staff just ignored me and after 5 minutes I walked out. Surely, if this was my business, you'd have instructed your staff I at least ask someone if you can help them? But that's what happens when you employ very young people who have no interest in their jobs, let alone your business. I guess I'll never know if you have the bushings. I hate giving anyone one star but this isn't the first time I've had bad service there and maybe you can take a good look at your staff. Go watch some video footage if you have cameras in the store. Crazy. This company does NO refunds, even for completely sealed returns the next day (even non-clothing)! I can't believe that's even allowed in this day and age. However, the shop assistant was very friendly and helpful and turns out if you complain enough the management will actually refund you...
Great quality clothes which, as on sale great prices….however, the staff were beyond useless, not one greeted as all 3 were on their cell phones and when I took all my clothes to counter they didn’t bother to fold and place in bag, ended up taking and folding myself, entire transaction was done without a single word from them. Love the brand but will look elsewhere

The staff member who assisted me was friendly and helpful. I was looking at shoes and they advised me on whats popular and what stock they have. They have a good selection of skate shoes and lots of other skate and surf gear. From boards to apparel. Unfortunately staff were almost too fast and efficient, as I felt rushed to pay, when I still wanted to look around the shop.
One of my favorite shops!! I seldom walk out not having bought something. The prices are most reasonable for quality items.

Shoes started unglueing after 2months and they cost R900. Emailed 18dec and again 23dec still no reply or acknowledgement 2weeks later... very disappointing.
I love Contempo. They sell high quality clothes at reasonable prices. There is also always specials and nice bargains on display. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Great quality knitwear. My only complaints are that their garments often tend to be very busy and it takes a while to find something in a solid colour without half a dozen embellishments and that they do a lot of round necklines that often emphasizes a large bust. Still worth going in every time you pass one because when you do find something that works, it is worth all the times you didn't.
I love Queenspark clothing and visit this shop on a regular basis. They sell clothing, shoes, handbags and jewellery. They also have a men's department. The clothing is quite pricey, but it is good quality. Queenspark also have regular specials where you get the clothing at really good prices. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a special item. The staff is friendly and helpful.

We all love Billabong, one of the originals surf brands blossomed. But it felt like going into their Jbay Factory shop, 40% off quite allot of stock. Is this the dying death throws of a superbrand before Quicksilver & Billabong merge? If so, get out and buy, Billabong, they will be collectors items soon!
