I surprised my wife 🥰 with a Heritage Day date at La Colombe in Constantia! What an experience! The food is absolute delicious with so many different flavours that just have a party in your mouth. The service is amazing and Georgia was absolutely perfect as a hostess! Everyone of the staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. Don't let the portion sizes fool you, you will need a good walk after dining to digest it all. Ten out of ten, would recommend!
Really nice place. Lunch started with Chef's message: "Food is our theatre, we hope you enjoy the show". The menu has been spot on.
The dining experience here is amazing! The team really take pride in what they do and are deserved of their accolades. Special mention to Hilton who took great care of us and had great banter!
We have not been for a while but the restaurant looks amazing. The finishings are fresh and the restaurant looks very modern. The food was delicious. The waiters were extremely attentive and the wine and cocktails were delightful. The whole experience was worth going back for. A must for a date night or special occasion. You won't be disappointed.
Truly one of the best Restaurants in the world, and my favourite dining experience so far. The food did not disappoint at all, meanwhile the service was beyond expectations, we even had an 8 year old with us and they accommodated her, she loved her out of menu plate and for once she managed to finish it.
It is hard for me to pick the best dish but my favourites were The Dove’s Nest, Bread and Charcuterie and Namibian Crab, Game Fish, Nahm Jim.
As for dessert, I love cheese so the camembert and honey was perfect.
All in all, incredible experience and I hope to be back to Cape Town one day for another round.

A truly sublime experience at one of Cape Town's top restaurants. We had the Winter set menu (but a vegan version of it), and it was such a treat. I am not a chocolate dessert person at all but this one blew me away. To the attentive waitrons and the chef, a mighty big thank you for making our day.
Restaurant is beautifully appointed, warm and welcoming and Appears to be a place where you can get lucky with a fantastic dining experience. However on my night flavours were muted, fillet was tasteless and underwhelming. Well plated, but short on seasoning. Bread course is great, amuse bouche not bad except for undercooked tomato.

Wow wow wow is all i can say. This place exceeded every expectation. From the time you walk in you are catered to. The venue is beautiful & I would imagine being there during the day would be magical. Starting with drinks - there is nothing they can’t do, we had all sorts of exciting, unique cocktails & also the usual suspects & wine. There is too much to say about the food, you need to just experience it-I do not consider myself to be a foody, but this place might have ruined going out to eat for me because it will be hard to beat. Coming from the US, this would have been a $500/per person ordeal, so we found the pricing incredibly great. The service was outstanding, everyone was attentive and knowledgeable. I wish we didn’t live across the world or I would make a point of going hear as often as possible. The only negative is that it might have been too much food, we didn’t think the cheese pairing was needed or a few others, they were good, just probably too much food.

Very cozy ambience and wonderful staff, except the Sommelier makes no effort with you if you don’t start with a few glasses. Food is passable but lacks the sophistication in presentation and complexity in taste for a fine dining restaurant. The prime rib is a very ordinary cut and too heavy on salt and pepper. The most underwhelming meal among all the restaurants we’ve been to in Cape Town.
My husband and I had the seafood platter, it was a lot of new things we had not eaten, so when hubby booked the appointment, he asked about stuff he is allergic to. They called him and confirmed they did not cook or even stock what he is allergic to. Then, when we got our food, the chef came out and again comforted us on not using those ingredients. It gave us such a sense of ease to continue our evening and just enjoy it. The waiters never let our glasses run dry. Friendly and lovely staff. And honestly, some of the best seafood we have had. Will definitely go back!
I made a reservation and dines in the wine cellar. It was relaxed and comfortable. It was also romantic and quiet for a date night. The service was quick. I had the cheese wheel pasta and my boyfriend also had pasta and we had cheese came for dessert. The food servings were also great. This including drinks (non alcohol) amounted to R650 total, so pretty affordable.
We had a lovely evening here and had a perfect spot in the wine cellar. It's a great Italian restaurant with beautiful aesthetics and incredible ambience. The service is always remarkable. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is scrumptious and well prepared.

When dining at a restaurant called Africa’s best, and one of the world’s top 50, high expectations abound. We were hoping for great; we got transcendent. The restaurant is on a different plane than the ordinary, and its reputation is deserved. service was immaculate. The food was incredible; so beyond the normal restaurant it is difficult to explain. We declined the wine pairing,and happily, because the food was too much to eat. We left very full. Great ambience and location.

We loved this restaurant! We were wandering around the V & A & decided to go in for dinner - so happy we did! The food was amazing - lots to choose from and the service was impeccable. One of our top 3 meals in South Africa.
Amazing experience. Beware, it can take up to six hours for one dinner depending on the experiences you choose. We highly recommend the wine cellar experience. The waitstaff are incredibly helpful and all work together in unison. The service was impeccable and the food was very unique. Each dish presented a different protein, flavor, texture and color.
The atmosphere and taste of the restaurant were good. It was nice that the waiter was also very attentive. However, when I tried to pay with my card, it told me to go to an ATM and withdraw cash. They say I can pay with a credit card, but I don't understand why they ask me to withdraw cash, which makes me angry. ATM withdrawal fees were high and no change was provided.
I loved everything, from the moment you enter until you leave. The setting is so authentic, live mellow music. The service is top-notch. Fine dining at its best. Food prepared to perfection. It was a special occasion for us, and Signature delivered on making the evening memorable.

When you are walking around the beach front, you can just taste the delicious meals such as steaks or pizza. Highly recommend.
Located right next to the water on the waterfront, the main dining area has a large window looking out into the harbor. Overall, the food was great and the sushi was especially terrific fish was fresh and very tasty. Cooked options also great although the beef was average. Portions good and the starter ceviche was awesome. The restaurant was very loud during dinner. Lots of loud talking and sometime very hard to even hear yourself think. Prices relative to US standards very cheap.

We tried booking Beyond for several weeks prior to our stay in Cape town, but it was constantly fully booked (we now understand why). Eventually we decided to try our luck and just showed up during lunch hours. They were kind enough to squeeze us in, and we could not have been more pleased with our experience. Both the food and service was outstanding, and we are longing to go back for another mouthwatering experience!
I haven't been to Sevruga since before Covid, and for years, this had been one of my favorite places to go for sushi and cocktails. We didn't have a reservation, and several tables inside the restaurant were available (Sunday midday). However, by the time we left, there wasn't a table free. They've had a beautiful revamp since I've last been. My husband and I shared the mussel starter - absolutely delicious! I had the Poke Bowl, which was perfect - nice portion - and of course, all the ingredients were fresh and tasty. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the seafood linguine! It's still a restaurant I'd highly recommend to anyone asking!
Waiters all stand in the front and no one takes your order for a good 30 minutes. Food takes long. They’re very rude.
A very beautiful restaurant at the V&A. Had a three course meal and I will not ever forget how amazing their Gnocchi starter tasted! I also had their steak with bone marrow as a main and the lemon cheesecake for dessert which was also exceptional. Can’t wait to come back for the Gnocchi and half price sushi!
The service was amazing, our waiter moved the seats all around to locate us because we were a big group and then gave us the best attention, really enjoyable! I don't remember his name exactly but he's in the picture :) Also, the atmosphere is really nice by the sea. The food was good, not the very best I've had but still pretty good! I definitely recommend it
Fine dining experience, amazing staff that are friendly and accomodating. Food was so good, everyone that joined us raved about it. There wasnt a single meal we ordered that was not good. Take the fondant potatoes over the chips, thank me later! Highly recommend the steak with lemon butter basting! Excellent food and service.
Updated review as I came back here to eat in the evening - 5 stars as the place was fantastic inside with plenty of seating and a great menu. Calamari excellent, Mozambique prawns excellent, crème brûlée pretty good. Can highly recommend
I had the worst sun-downers today 01:02.2024 the service is shocking waiting time is minimum 30minutes for a basic cool drink! No I am never going back I never will!

Tied in with our table for two that made it feel like i was miles away from my partner- we could hardly hear each other.
We waited an hour and a half to order our food. We understand that they were busy, but waiting that long is ridiculous. We hardly saw our waiter and people who sat after us got their food before us.
I will mention that the managers were very friendly and accommodating.
Now the food- for a high-end restaurant the food was surprisingly disappointing. That's sugar coating it- it was the worse food we have ever eaten at a restaurant. The sushi quality itself was fine, but the flavour was disgusting and just so disappointing. The calamari was okay- it tasted very oily and lacked flavour. They also forgot our order of chips with the calamari. The drinks were okay- nothing special. After we were seated we only received our food after 2 hours, we ate for 20 minutes and decided that we were going to leave because we had wasted our time. We did not finish our food and while we both do not enjoying wasting our food, we didn't even take all of our leftovers home because we knew no one was going to eat it.
The bill was well over R900 and for the quality and taste of the food, it was a complete waste of money.
They did offer us a free dessert to compensate for our experience. After 3 times of declining it and insisting we would rather leave, we accepted the dessert and even that was just okay. Absolutely nothing special. I believe people often mistake richness for loudness, and this was definitely the case. The restaurant puts on more of a show than offering food worth tasting.

Outstanding seafood! The food was excellent, the staff are lovely and friendly and the view of Table Mountain is sensational. We'll be back!

Located in a very prime spot inside V&A Waterfront. I wasn't impressed with the food, drinks and their pricing. We had the set menu for our corporate dinner. While the Calamari was good. The fish lacked any taste and was served with a dry mash. Although the place wasn't completely full, noticed few hiccups in the service including wrong items. Looking at the service and taste, food and drinks both felt overpriced.

Food was excellent - beef ribs that seriously melted off the bone. Slow cooked , succulent and so delicious. One of our group had the gnocchi, that too was also delicious. The setting is in the restaurant, verandah space or on the pavement. There was a special buffet for £395- it looked fantastic with a great choice of foods. If I was really hungry .... I would have had that option.
I went to Durban for a holiday I would walk to this place for Dinner and chill, love the food the vibe and the staff is friendly, Itumeleng from the bar is very great at her job always smiling her service was exceptional, I even went there the next day because of her service really makes you feel welcome..
An amazing evening at Signature restaurant, situated at the Oceans Mall. The extensive menu and wine list leaves you spoilt for choice and the views are mesmerizing. The food was absolutely delicious and I was blown away by the presentation and flavors of each dish. Dare I say this might even be the best steak I've had in Umhlanga! Our waiter was Chris who was attentive, warm and humorous. The place felt elegant and the live music added to the ambience of the evening.

We were completely ignored by the sommelier which left a bitter taste in our mouth. He literally skipped our table. In the end another gent attended to us. The dining was great! The wining was awkward. The wine selection is very good however. Some unique bottles.

A classy resturant set within a hotel and along the quayside. Unfortunately didn't have many of the items that we wanted on the menu which was a little dissapointing. Stunning views although sometimes not ideal with many people always around on the outside section. Great of you want to soak up the atmosphere of the V and A though. Service lacked a bit and didn't seem particularly interested. Perhaps jusy a bad day as they seemed to be good with other tables.
Wonderful fine dining experience at Beyond Restaurant. Unpretentious dishes complimented each element on the plate amazingly. Staff were attentive, and each course was delicious. Our favorite was the Brisket and Truffle Aioli and the Chicken and Duck Roulade 👌🏼 worth the visit, and the views into the vineyard is beautiful.
May be a little difficult to find the place if you have not been there before (just park at Oceans Mall itself and ask for directions. Restaurant is on upper floor at the Radisson end, past Gucci and Dolce & Gabana etc). Operating hours are also wrong online. Table wasn't ready and set when we got to the restaurant for our reservation even though we were there slightly after the booked time. So had to wait around 20mins for that. Then there are no physical menu's so we had to faff around on our phones to use the online digital menu which we did not enjoy. Food took an hour to arrive as well which was not great. The actual food was average though, not worth the price in most cases in my opinion but decent (prawn risotto and kingklip stuffed with calamari and the salad). The soup was however outstanding as well as the desserts especially the caramel icecream brioche one. Nicely decorated place and decent vibe especially if seated near the windows like we were. Worth checking out overall for a more formal dinner or if stauming at the radisson due to convenience, but I don't think I would go back a second time with so many other fantastic options in that area. Coffee was also OK. Staff were all in different outfits too which was odd and most did not seem very organised or professional. But a decent restaurant, not good value for money though in my opinion for the level of the mains.

A classic fine dining experience with great food and beautiful music. The restaurant has such a magnificent interior perfect for romantic dinner or to celebrate a milestone. Food is pricey but delicious, we ordered the Asian dumplings, Tempura prawns, Duck Trio and the pan fried duck. The flavors were absolutely amazing. Only disappointment was that they didn't have all the desserts on their menu however I did try the Berry and mascopone cheese cake which was quite nice. Overall one of the best Fine Dining restaurants in Durban. Definitely worth experiencing !!

Stunning fine dining restaurant. Their lunch menus are great value for what it is. The vegetarian dishes here are excellent, flavour packed and shows off the skills of the kitchen with lots of different elements coming together. Ostrich tataki is a classic and duck was also lovely. Great range of wines by the glass.

Had an incredible dining experience at Aubergine Restaurant! The restaurant has a rich history and contemporary flair that creates an intimate and sophisticated atmosphere. German chef Harald Bresselschmidt's innovative cuisine and classic service blew me away.
I recently enjoyed a fantastic meal at GINJA in the V&A Waterfront. The restaurant is modern and stylish, and has a lovely outdoor seating terrace to soak up the views and people watch. Unfortunately it was a little too cold for us to sit outside the evening we dined, but inside is just a wonderful.

The food is great, out of this world, actually. Before I complained about the service, it was horrible. After I expressed how ridiculous it was, everything went smoothly.
Staff were rude qnd unfriendly. The food was tasteless and amateurish. See photo. That was suppose to be deep fried hake. Box fish from I&J...NO MAN!

Excellent! We went for lunch and it was relaxed and welcoming atmosphere! - The sommelier was really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful - the wine that he recommended was delicious and went really well with the food - we had the lunch small place menu, which was tasty, interesting and perfectly presented - cherry empanadas were unique and very moorish - we will definitely go back!
The staff’s service, friendliness and attention to detail was such a hit! This was an amazing fine dining experience with fresh, tasty dishes and amazingly paired wines. My partner and I were celebrating our anniversary and the restaurant was an excellent choice, very intimate and fitting for a special occasion or as a great experience for a wine-loving foodie. We also especially enjoyed the sommelier, his knowledge and personality made each course a unique experience and it worked well the intimate ambiance of the restaurant 🙌🏾

Even if you are vegetarian, Aubergine is ready for you. Great intimate ambiance. The decor could be much better , warmer & cozy, but the dinning takes the lack of design out of the window. Highly highly recommend it!
If I could give zero stars I would. Your first impression starts with me being able to view your restaurant online. If you are located in the Radisson Residence then surely like any other hotel, I should be able to view the restaurant, see the menu, make a reservation at the restaurant etc. Website is not user friendly.
Sampled the Sunday Buffet, decent spread with many salads and side dishes. Proteins included line fish, roast sirloin and pork spare ribs. Service was attentive and all staff were friendly. I would recommend.

After an exploration of the Durban promenade this little Cafe/restaurant popped up and mind you Durban was sizzling hit yesterday. As we arrived, we were greeted by David and our drinks orders taken, we had really only come in to quench our thirst. David explained to us that they had revamped and gave us a quick run down or happy hour specials and the buffet special at their new breakfast spot right at the top of the Bellaire hotel called Sunset Lounge. Overall experience was great and now we have a new spot for drinks and breakfast.
Most beautiful experiences. Very friendly and helpful staff. Most beautifully presented food and drinks. Be it just a cappuccino , or a scrumptious romantic dinner, one will never be disappointed. Situated on the promenade. Comfortable seating inside or outdoors.
